A Promise to the People of Hyspia A promise of Loyalty, Honesty, and Integrity I entered to campaign for the position of Alcade because I love Hyspia. I love its people, its culture, everything from the vibrant colors to the rich foods. I've maintained Hyspia's gardens for a long time out of that love, but I've always yearned to do something more. To be able to serve Hyspia and its people to the fullest extent of my capabilities. So, as I campaign for this position and ask you all to trust me with its responsibilities and privileges, I make this list of promises to you-- the people of Hyspia-- my hopes and ambitions. A promise to not let Hyspia go hungry-- to keep the Alm's chest and the kitchens stocked, and the fields well-tended. A promise to work on aiding the construction of new, affordable housing-- to not let any Hyspian, of any financial status, go unhoused. A promise to keep the gardens beautiful and vibrant as ever, though this was a given. And a promise to always put the needs of the people first. I can't know the future and cannot know what will happen-- things may come up that cause problems. There may be bumps in the road, and I cannot know for sure that all of my goals will be achieved. But it is what I hope for, what I want to achieve. I want to see Hyspia grow, and I want to see its people prosper. I want to be the Alcalde you all deserve; one you can trust with anything. And to my competitor, no hard feelings. Whoever of us wins, I'm sure will make a great Alcalde. Viva la Hyspia! SENORA, Kerina Mondblume The Flower Princess of Hyspia

La Flor de Hyspia Issued on 13th of Maria’s Peace, 132 D.R. The flowers in the arid lands of Hyspia are as varied and beautiful as the people within, due in no small part to the adverse growing conditions. While Hyspia has a dry climate and loose sands in place of fertile soil, it is also located on the coast of a bountiful river; creating a uniquely harsh climate for flowers to seed and make roots. However, once they’ve grown accustomed to these desert lands, they thrive and grow to great heights. Much like the people, who have endured much hardship and grief, these unique challenges shape the flora of Hyspia, creating beautifully unique specimens able to be found in every garden. A previous post has been made on the Flowers of Hyspia- please support it! Flowers of Hyspia Agave There are many cactus and succulent plants in the desert, as nature has developed a number of ways to survive the harsh heat. One that stands out is the Agave, a rosette with large, succulent leaves that requires very little water. Its roots have developed to catch rainwater, condensation, and morning dew to survive. But the most interesting thing about Agave is that it can be used to produce an alternative to sugar, as well as create alcoholic beverages. Desert Primrose Desert Primrose is characterized by its large yellow or white flowers, and its wide-spreading hairy, pale silvery green leaves. These flowers will bloom in spring after heavy winter rains, coloring the desert sands like vibrant tissue paper. After the plant dies, its stems and leaves will curl up like a cage, though it’s quite the hardy plant. Able to survive in any kind of soil and is extremely drought-resistant, which also happens to make it a bit of a nuisance. Don’t plant too much, or it’ll overtake your garden! Apache Plume The Apache Plume is a showy flowering plant that starts as small, roselike white flowers with yellow insides. However, after this initial flower dies off, it re-blooms as a lavender-like flower with long, feathery pink petals with white fuzz. A tall, shrub-like plant, it grows in large clusters and is invaluable for erosion control, especially in the looser sands of the desert. Its bark is known to be white or light gray and often peels, while its leaves are brighter green and a bit hairy, curling under at the edges. It can grow as tall as an elf and flowers in the spring. Iblees’ Claw Iblees’ Claw is an interesting one, it blooms in the summer with trumpet-like pink or pale lavender, exotic-looking flowers. Its bright green leaves are surprisingly soft and covered with fuzz, and when its seed pods are young, they can be picked and eaten like fruit! In fact, some believe these seed pods have anti-inflammatory properties and could be used in medicine. The mature seed pods are where the flower gets its name- as it has a long, curved “claw” that gets caught in fur or on the clothes of a passerby, thus spreading the seed. Desert Mariposa Lily This perennial is a beautiful bright orange, red, or yellow flowering plant that produces several slender-stemmed flowers in a small cluster. Typically on the shorter side, only reaching a bit over a foot tall on average, this flower starts off with a waxy leaf base that withers after the flowers bloom. Its bold colors stand out from the sands, creating a lovely flower enjoyable by all. This beauty is quite rare and is typically found in rockier settings: such as the desert mountains. Anacacho Orchid Tree This rare tree is quite a sight to behold. Only found in the higher elevations of the desert mountains, in the spring its delicate leaves, resembling butterfly wings, will split and produce orchid-like flowers of white or pink. It prefers well-drained soil but is winter-hardy and doesn’t require much water. A smaller tree, only growing up to 12 feet in most cases, it’s quite beautiful once you’ve coaxed it into growing well. Prickly Pear The prickly pear cactus is a humble plant, but a wondrous one. While you’ve no doubt come across this cactus traversing the dunes, you’ve likely not known about how extraordinary it truly is. This cactus produces beautiful, vibrant pink or yellow flowers. When these flowers wilt, they produce fruit in their place- which is where the cactus gets its name from. These fruits can be eaten raw, or juiced to avoid eating the hard, unpleasant seeds. Feel free to pick a few next time you’re in town, just make sure to singe the little hairs in the fruits or handle them with tongs, as the little spiny hairs hurt to touch. Hyspian Moss Hyspian Moss can often be found clinging to orange trees in the orchard or any other type of tall structure that will get it closer to sunlight. While not technically a moss, instead falling into the bromeliad family, it appears as a silvery green moss and sports bright pink flowers on it. It’s also been referred to as “Abuelo’s beard” due to looking like a scraggly, long beard in shape. And if you’re worried about the moss harming the trees– fret not. It merely clings to them for structural support; it will not harm them in any way. Firecracker Vine Personally cultivated by Princess Valencia, these beautiful vines can be found growing along the walls of La Dorada. They love to climb high in the summer to reach as much sunlight as possible and sprout beautiful red, yellow, and white flowers from which they get their name. It’s also known for blooming from early spring well into late summer, as it quite enjoys the Hyspian heat. If you visit Hyspia, you’re sure to see its vibrant colors. These flowers are as diverse and beautiful as the land and climate that shaped them, much like the people of the desert. Whether you’ve history deep-rooted in the desert, or find yourself moving there for a better future, you’ve no doubt found something that connects you to it. Where others see a wasteland of sand, we see the golden shine of sun glinting off the dunes, and this is reflected in the unique flora such a land produces; and the strong, wonderful people it raises. I hope you’ve learned something, and can come to appreciate even the most common of flowers next time you take a stroll. HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Valencia Belen, Princess-Royal of Hyspia, Duchess of La Dorada, and Countess of Rosario SENORA, Kerina Mondblume, The Flower Princess of Hyspia

LA CORTE DE GIRASOL Noviazgo y matrimonio Issued on the 12th of Veronicas Strength of the year of 131 D.R. INTRODUCTION The Noble ways of proper and dignified courtship and Marriage are not difficult. Certainly however, they are not simple. To be a Noble is to be expected to follow certain requirements and structures. Those who sway outside of the guidelines, could be enlightened, or they could be revolutionary. We however, have seen those who sway outside of the lines without proper cause tend to falter at the hand of tradition and find themselves suddenly outside the eligibility of a noble. To keep the people well informed, a study on the Courtship and Marriage traditions has been laid out. This is a mere suggestion and guide to a noble life, rather than one of certain doom. [!] The First Lord and Lady Salazar riding towards their noble estate. EXPECTATIONS OF COURTSHIP Royals and Rulers When discussing a trivial topic of Nobility, we must understand that these lines come from the foot-steps of the Royals, and the Rulers of old. Finding a familial structure in mind is most helpful to this endeavor. Traditionally seen, a courtship within the de Pelear family consists of three requirements at a minimum. The Trial of Loyalty, In which a contender of the Royal Family, is expected to join the enlistments of the military. The Trial of Honor, Where the contending hand will be asked to host an event in honor of their city and nation. The Trial of Strength, To succeed in the prior two trials, one final test of strength is shown, a duel faced by a member of the royal family, in honor of their chosen courtship. Though these trials have been seen during the reign of Ramona I, and have continued since, change is inevitable to each nation and ruler alike. The Sovereign may see a trial fit to the situation, and is allowed to exemplify trials as they might like. Lords and Ladys The Aspiring steps of Royalty lead the ways of Nobility. With examples shown through time, each family is allowed to make their own requirements of their Court-ship allowances. It is not for The Crown to decide a family's matter. It is however, a recommended ambition that a noble is a precious thing within the walls of la Dorada, it should be safe-gaurded and highly sought after. Therefore, the lengths of nobility shouldn’t extend to a mere suitor who has little interest in the established ranks and wealths to offer. The Noble Families of the past have required trials of their children, though many of those families have come and gone. The current noble houses are encouraged to make their own trials, though not as stringent as a Royal perhaps, they may be enticed to a bull fight, or a champion of the rodeo. Titleless and Tired There is however an exception to the noble steps. A luxury in the eyes of a Noble or Royal doomed to be nagged of trials, whereas a common family or Gentry family alike are not as encouraged to participate. To find their own and establish relationships within any place. A commoner may marry into and out of any place they stand in. Though if courting above their stations, they may be enlisted to certain terms above, they are otherwise exemplified from any noble requirements. PEARLS The Pearl-Posal To begin the process of Courting a Lord or Lady, it is needless to say, that there are no rules against gender or rank within Hyspia. There are, however, nation-wide traditions. Such as pearl fishing. When asking for someone’s hand in courtship, it is expected to present the chosen with a pearl. Pearls are a significant part of the Hyspian culture and represent the new life and love aspiring for a brighter spring. The Pearls of la Dorada are rich within the Rio de Zafiros, to fish one out of the water and present it to a potential suitor is no small feat. Once you’ve claimed a pretty pearl, finding your courage and offering the gem towards a likely lord or lady, they are faced with two options.. Bliss and glee, of acceptance and love, or Rejection and Doom. When one has accepted a pearl, the courtship process is within bloom. It is heavily judged for one to assume more than one court-ship. Once a court-ship has started, either party may call off all intentions, and pursue a new suitor, however once such has happened, the pearl within the courtship should be returned to the River, so a new couple may be blessed with better fortunes. Rejection, Doom, and Disappointment At the turn of events, when one faces Doom and Gloom, they are expected to take the rejected pearl and throw it back into the Rio de Zafiros. Once throwing the pearl into the water, they have turned a new leaf in their life and may continue their path of mourning and moving on. By throwing a pearl back into the Sapphire waters, it is believed one receives luck and rejoices in new life intentions. The pearls of someone's misfortunes are then returned to be fished out once again, and hopefully face someone else's rejoice. MARRIAGE The marriage events are always done in the church and by a priest, then they are celebrated with an after party, for commoners, might be a tavern event straight after, for nobles it might be a family event in the city, and royals may be like a palace ball or celebration When marrying into a higher classed family, one is expected to take on their family colors and banners, they are also expected to take on the higher name. To leave your family and marry into a lower class, no titles from the upper family will be passed down to children and they are taken out of inheritance. They however, if the head of house agrees may keep their birth titles. When marrying into a commoner's family, there is no elevation of rank for the common born. The Sovereign State of Hyspia pens this missive as light just begins to filter away from the sky, and the moon has begun its ascent, glittering prettily upon the denizens below. DUCHESS OF PARAÍSO Issued on the 7th of Maria’s Peace of the year of 128 D.R. For years, the Sovereign State of Hyspia has gone without a proper heir, through no fault of their own. The untimely death of Ramona I had followed shortly after the assassination of the Crown-Princess Santana, leaving an eight year old Xiomara to ascend to the throne. Fifteen years she has reigned, bringing Hyspia to new heights alongside the diligent help of her citizenry, and now it brings the Crown utmost joy to announce the birth of the heir to Hyspia, a little girl born as the rays of light just began to filter through the windows. She takes after her father in which she boasts a full head of curls of a brownish-red, and in taking after her mother, she has eyes of pewter blue. Swaddled and doted upon, the child arrived to much fanfare, and was dubbed with the name: Her Royal Highness, Amarantha Crisanta Esmeralda Fiorella Maritza de Pelear, Crown-Princess of Hyspia and Duchess of Paraíso @stickyhon Even amongst the celebrations, the baby made nary a peep as she basked beneath the rays of the Hyspian sun. She is sure to grow into a calm presence, of great wisdom and with this, the Crown asks the citizenry of Hyspia and its allies to extend a warm welcome to the Crown-Princess Amarantha. A baptism and feast will take place within three Saints days, in the Church of Blessed Francisco, to be overseen by the Alaric Bishop Andrikev. THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF HYSPIA El Regimiento de Hyspia Issued on the 7th of Maria’s Peace of the year of 128 D.R. The Armed Forces of Hyspia Following many years of disrepair, the Orden de Francisco have found themselves strengthened once more as many members flock to their ranks. With this new restoration in place, it is only right that this military is reformed in order to prevent a decline which almost brought Hyspia to ruin. Her standing army must be prepared to defend against the various threats of the world, but just the same, they must be ready to uplift and inspire the Hyspian people, and fight for their futures. Reformation of Ranks Following decades of no use of most of the ranks within the order, and a notable lack of promotions to fill these ranks, the Capitán is now the highest rank of the order. One thing to clarify is that each rank will not be losing the responsibilities of their previous status. The Capitán is still expected to man the gate when needed or be prepared to patrol, just as any other rank is. With this being stated, the ranks have been reformed as follows: Capitán Now marking the highest rank of the order, the Capitán is charged with ensuring the proper maintenance of the order, with all military decisions ultimately falling into their hands. This does not excuse them from the duties of the other ranks, but rather, places them as the final authority regarding military matters. The Capitán is additionally charged in maintaining a position among the Hyspian High Council, and should be included amongst discussions of diplomatic matters when war is involved. Sargento The Sargento is selected by the Capitán to lead in their stead, entrusted with the responsibility of making sure the rest of the order are well trained. They are the established successor should something happen to the Capitán, though this must be approved by the ruling Monarch. Cabo A Cabo serves as an officer rank in the middle, performing general command duties, such as leading patrols and groups into battle. They are the first rank that is entrusted with the ability to swear in those who wish to join the order. They are also entrusted with overviewing the training of the other Soldado. Gaucho The Gaucho are those of the order who are expected to expand both their martial capabilities and patrolling ranges beyond just the common Soldado. They are expected to have at least one style of combat they excel in, and to be ready to patrol not just Hyspia’s capital province, but her other territories as well. This is also the rank to which access to the prison is granted. Soldado The Soldado is a new and fresh member to join the order. They are expected to learn from other Soldado as well as those above them in their efforts to protect Hyspia. They are expected to learn how to man the gates, and are expected to at least patrol the city and the outskirts of Hyspia’s capital province. They are to follow the directives of those above them, and are expected to wear uniform when on duty. The Order of The Aurum Smiths. In order to ensure that Hyspia’s guards are never left unequipped, an order of blacksmiths is to be established to keep the forges ready, and to provide for the soldiers of the royal army. The Order will be organized under their own command structure, but are not excluded from the rest of the military hierarchy: The Master of the Aurum Smiths This rank is the equivalent to the rank of the Cabo, though they are to command those of their order rather than the broader order, still following the command of the Capitán and the Sargento. Outside of their position of command, they are to share in the other duties of the other smiths, and are to make sure training and standards are upheld similar to their equivalent in the rest of the order. Soldado Smiths These specialized Soldado’s are prepared to arm the ranks of the Order, and are expected to be prepared to make equipment at the best quality possible. Outside of this, they are still expected to maintain the duties of the typical Soldado, and may also achieve rank amongst the traditional command structure. Expectation on Equipment While this has been a hotly contested debate amongst the ranks of the order for some time now, the ultimate conclusion is that armor must be kept in the Hyspian style. This style is allowed to be done in light or leather armors, half-plate, or full plate, but is expected to show the proper Hyspian style. While other weaponry is not uniform, all members of the order are expected to have their own prepared weapons. One exemption from this is that all members of the order are expected to maintain an aurum dagger to perform darkspawn tests at the gate. Oath of The Orden de Francisco I, _________, do hereby swear my undying loyalty and service to my liege and sovereign. In the presence of these witnesses, I vow to uphold the chivalric code, to be ever faithful and true, to defend the realm and protect the weak. I pledge to honor the principles of bravery, justice, and mercy, and to serve with integrity and valor. I swear to defend the Hyspian throne and people with my life, to fight for Her causes, and to carry out Her commands without question or hesitation. I shall stand as a shield against Her enemies, and wield my sword in Her name. By the grace of DIOS and the honor of my oath, I shall uphold these vows. Let this oath be binding, and may Seven Skies strike me should I fail in my duty. This I swear, with my heart, my soul, and my blade. Long live the Sovereign. An Overviews of Expectations Some of the expected duties of the Orden de Francisco: Retain your duty to the Sovereign and the people of Hyspia. Be prepared to man the gates, which are to always remain closed when not attended, and be prepared to issue out Darkspawn tests. Seek only the righteous course of action; perform no ill-will, even if it is the easier path. Protect and serve the Peoples of Hyspia. Be prepared to patrol the lands of Hyspia, in order to both aid the people when needed and to handle threats when they arise. Gate Expectations When manning the gates, there are 5 expected steps to go through when allowing for entry, unless specifically being informed that certain guests are allowed in past the questioning. If any of the 5 steps are refused, either turn the visitor around, or ask a higher ranking officer for clarification on how to handle things. The 5 expected steps are: Ask the name of who is entering. Ask the place of origin. Ask their reason for visiting Hyspia. Have the visitor go through a darkspawn test. This consists of a cut to the forearm with an Aurum dagger, to which salt is then pressed to the wound. Upon spotting any unusual reactions, the visitor in question is to be locked in the gate house, and reinforcements are to be called if they are needed. Ask to check the individual for their weapons (Use the /invsearch command), and unless they have provided a good reason or are well known by the people of Hyspia, they are to turn in these weapons. (They only have to turn in weapons IRP.) Patrol Expectations The lands of Hyspia have grown to be quite expansive, and each member of the Order is expected to patrol these lands. In this regard, the regular Soldado is expected to patrol La Dorada and the rest of the capital province. Those of higher rank are expected to patrol all of the territory of Hyspia. Activity Log In order to receive payment, a member of the Order must fill out the activity log each Saint’s week at least once to show they are still performing active duty. (This process includes your discord username, persona name, your rank, the activity, and how long you did this.) DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER SERENE HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Viscountess of Banderas, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro, Campagnon and Sevilla, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, etcetera. THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF HYSPIA and the FREE CANONIST REPUBLIC The Eastern Star Issued on the 4th of Horen’s Calling the year of 1999 and on the 21st of Francisco’s Blessing the year of 125 D.R. TO ASK the people of Salvo their familial origins, many would answer Hyspia. Our shared history and common traditions, though cleaved by geography, pull us both as close as ever. The two peoples are natural allies: the Sovereign State of Hyspia was among the very first to reply to Tristan of Salvo when he wrote to Canondom asking for aid and counsel against the tyranny of the Lurin Lubba. As two modest peoples in a world of many colours, it is imperative that our governments stand together as friends. Article I There shall be a lasting and inviolable peace and a sincere friendship between Her Serene Highness. the Sovereign of Hyspia, her heirs, successors and subjects on the one part, and the Free Canonist Republic and their people on the other; and also recognising each other’s sovereignty over their territories, titles, and vassals. Article II Each party pledges to the other to adhere to principles of peace between each other. They shall not wage war upon one another, nor shall they raise arms against one another, or try to bring harm to the integrity of one another’s realms. This includes but is not limited to: supporting mercenaries and/or bandits in attacks against a signatory; making claims about a signatory with the intent to ruin the reputation of its culture, people, or leadership; and using the well-intentioned articles of this pact to disadvantage another signatory. Article III This treaty shall be indefinite, with the option to revisit as needed via summoning the signatories of either side. If something should happen during this period of time, the signatories pledge to meet first to seek a peaceful resolution before all else. Dios bless. OUR HOME To quote ‘La Dorada: A Hyspian Song', “We wondered, we wondered Nos preguntamos, nos preguntamos Would we ever see this day? ¿Veríamos este día alguna vez?” In the coming Saints days, it will come to pass that one Saints year ago, the city of La Dorada was founded. It is the Crown's utmost joy to announce a festival of its celebration, and to invite vendors across Aevos to hawk their wares and the people to enjoy the festivities. Our home has flourished and changed with the times, and yet the people are ever the same, brimming with pride for their home. Generations have come and gone, shifting like the desert sands - and may the Hyspian people continue to prosper forevermore. The festival will take place within the city, in which performances will be showcased and games set forth, including the newly unveiled game of Toro. DIOS bless to all! LA CORTE DE GIRASOL INFORMATIONAL GUIDE Issued on the 14th of Veronica’s Strength of the year of 124 D.R. EL PUENTE El Puente is a week-long Hyspian festival, in which lifelong connections are bridged and made. Friendships are formed, companions with whom you can enjoy your time alongside, and for some, they find their lifelong partner, their spouse. The Sovereign State of Hyspia is pleased to announce its second El Puente festival as its generation comes of age. The festival will take place from the 6th of Maria’s Peace [Oct 25th] to the next Saints week ending upon the 8th of Maria’s Peace [Nov 1st]. Sign-ups begin today to be slotted for a debut and end in a Saints week. INFORMATIONAL GUIDE This guide shall provide the necessary information to our citizenry and visitors on what to expect in the upcoming El Puente. On the matter of debuts, there are a few things of note to keep in mind for those attending: When planning your clothing, it is best to keep in mind that this is within Hyspia - heavy furs and coats may lead to heat exhaustion, even as food and beverages will be supplied. Those debuting are encouraged to wear familial colors, with a hint of gold somewhere upon their person. Hyspia is known for its vibrant wear and fashions, and for those unaware of it, an informational missive has been attached as an in-depth look into Hyspian fashion. Men and women alike are meant to debut, with participation meant to come from both sides, and those of all status. In an effort to keep this from being a lengthy process, royalty may debut alone, those of higher status debuting first - while those following shall debut with their family. Showcased in the previous El Puente, an exchange of tokens will take place. Those debuting are requested to bring a token, whether a flower or item of sentimental value - which are then to be given to an individual they believe has most contributed to who they have become today. FURTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION The following will be a guide as to etiquette to adhere to during El Puente. The donning of tiaras is allowed in this for the nobility, should they have an ancestor they inherited it from. Be careful not to be alone with another, as it could lead to rumor and scandal. Chaperones will be around for this very reason. A Quinceañera is a cultural tradition in which when a female comes to be fifteen years of age, a coming-of-age celebration is held. The male version, though more uncommon compared to its counterpart, is the Quinceañero. When wishing to propose courtship, the offering of pearls is what one must do. When filling out your application to sign-up, which the form will be attached below, a Peer is the titled head of the household of your family, for example, this being the Viscountess Salazar or the Baron Murietta. The heir is the declared heir of that household. If you are neither, you will simply mark that you are neither and specify whether you are a commoner, gentry, nobility or royalty in one of the following questions. Otherwise, as to your application, be sure to include your full name, what nation you reside in and any pertinent information for our El Puente planners. If one wishes to partake in the upcoming El Puente, one may direct their interest towards the form below. Sign-ups will end on the 6th of Horen’s Calling [Oct 23rd] and we will be accepting no more entries thereafter, as the debut list will be published once closed. DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER SERENE HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Viscountess of Banderas, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro, Campagnon and Sevilla, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, etcetera. Issued on the 15th of Horen’s Calling, 122 D.R INTRODUCTION The Coming of Age celebration, or a Quinceañera, is no small accomplishment for a lady of Hyspia and is met with a grand celebration. For a Princess of Hyspia, such as Her Highness, Valencia Belen, the festivities of her own coming of age will of course be held to the highest standard. Her Highness thus invites all of Hyspia and its allies to join her in celebrating her Quinceñera. Suitors who seek the Princess’s hand in courtship must first present themselves to the debutante’s sister, the Sovereign Xiomara I. If Her Royal Highness grants the suitor approval, he may then present a gift of pearls to Princess Valencia, as is custom. Per Hyspian custom, the forbidden colors of the night will be royal blue and gold, which is to be reserved solely for the Royal debutante. [!] A styled depiction of Valencia Itinerary The revelry will begin with a traditional Hyspian dance– the Hyspian Waltz. Suitors may ask the Sovereign for permission to dance with the debuting princess, and should Her Royal Highness permit, one may then request a dance with Princess Valencia. The night will continue with a grand feast held within the palace, where guests are invited to partake in a grand dinner consisting of all of Her Highness’s favorite dishes. Finally, to end the night, all guests may compete for the title of Best Dressed, judged by the debutante herself. The winner of such a contest will receive a prize of 100 mina. THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF HYSPIA I DO! Issued on the 8th of Javier’s Justice of the year of 119 D.R. From a young age, one is taught to study. To learn their history, tactics of war and how not to repeat the mistakes of others. I am all but thirteen and I understand that, as I do my homework. I study, I learn from my tutors and in class with my peers. So imagine my surprise when I receive a letter, not for the first time but the second in my life, urging me to go against the Church. I laughed, tears springing to my eyes as I held that letter tight - I showed it to my Uncle, one aware of a previous attempt, and a man who tutors me diligently. He even found it hilarious. For you see, Senora Sarah Artenin of Hohkmat, you did not do your homework. If you did, you would know that the last time this happened, I turned the letter over to the Pontiff, Deunoro I to use as he sees fit. The same is done now. I can’t say that you are unlearned entirely, you avoided coming to a trap laid out for you but it truly is a sad day, to see a grown woman unable to do her homework. @Lord_of_losers Z DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Viscountess of Banderas, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro and Campagnon, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, etcetera.

[This is not public and cannot be seen unless shown in RP.] [!] A thickly bound book may be found within the Sovereigns room, locked tightly and with scrawling words of improved penmanship over the pages once opened. XIOMARAS DIARY ENTRY #8 Issued on the 5th of Veronica’s Strength, 118 D.R. Dear diary, I have seen the Almighty DIOS and there are no words to describe Him. Omnipotent, omnipresent, beautiful and so full of light. So dazzled by him I was, that if it were not for my attending guards, I may have been trampled by the ensuing earthquake. The once Apostolic Kingdom of Aaun, once having been known as the Holy center of Aevos, has been burned. Destroyed. And a short time later, do we see the trial of the Kingdom of Balian. Accused of plotting to schism, to go against the church. Nightmares plague me still, of the shouts to burn their Queen, of my beloved Uncle being assaulted and of my guards carrying me out as all descended into chaos. I wonder, find the thought creeping into my mind, what those in the future would look back and see. Would these two Kingdoms survive? Will this time period be filled with turmoil? Or will this simply be but a blip in history? My people, they insist that I take some time for myself. A breather. And yet the words of my late Abuela come round and round, that we cannot rest until every last one of those who would harm us are found. But I try. I've squirreled away some time recently, for a chaotic dinner, to wander the orange orchard or to simply nap in the confines of a place long-forgotten by anyone but I. Yesterday, though, despite some smaller troubles - yesterday was good. I set out with a small retinue, to attend the Petran Queens and her Kings wedding. The pew was a bit crowded, elbows jabbing everywhere but the ceremony was beautiful and the company even better. I hope and I pray my own wedding can be just as good, as grand. Filled with laughter and camaraderie. I know yesterday is one of those uncommon days, and so I shall treasure it close to my heart, for surely the time soon to come will be filled with the uncertainty of the desert sands. Signed, Xiomara.

LA CORTE DE GIRASOL TO CELEBRATE LIFE Issued on the 11th of Javier’s Justice of the year of 117 D.R. It is in the effort of celebrating our peoples successes, showcased in the successful rescue mission of Señora Asteria from those of the Dark that the Crown of Hyspia announces a feast to take place within the newly constructed Fuerte de Juliano.
