  1. DUCHESS OF PARAÍSO Issued on the 7th of Maria’s Peace of the year of 128 D.R. For years, the Sovereign State of Hyspia has gone without a proper heir, through no fault of their own. The untimely death of Ramona I had followed shortly after the assassination of the Crown-Princess Santana, leaving an eight year old Xiomara to ascend to the throne. Fifteen years she has reigned, bringing Hyspia to new heights alongside the diligent help of her citizenry, and now it brings the Crown utmost joy to announce the birth of the heir to Hyspia, a little girl born as the rays of light just began to filter through the windows. She takes after her father in which she boasts a full head of curls of a brownish-red, and in taking after her mother, she has eyes of pewter blue. Swaddled and doted upon, the child arrived to much fanfare, and was dubbed with the name: Her Royal Highness, Amarantha Crisanta Esmeralda Fiorella Maritza de Pelear, Crown-Princess of Hyspia and Duchess of Paraíso @stickyhon Even amongst the celebrations, the baby made nary a peep as she basked beneath the rays of the Hyspian sun. She is sure to grow into a calm presence, of great wisdom and with this, the Crown asks the citizenry of Hyspia and its allies to extend a warm welcome to the Crown-Princess Amarantha. 3. LA CORTE DE GIRASOL OF LA DORADA Issued on the 24th of Sofia’s Beauty of the year of 124 D.R. OUR HOME To quote ‘La Dorada: A Hyspian Song', “We wondered, we wondered Nos preguntamos, nos preguntamos Would we ever see this day? ¿Veríamos este día alguna vez?” In the coming Saints days, it will come to pass that one Saints year ago, the city of La Dorada was founded. It is the Crown's utmost joy to announce a festival of its celebration, and to invite vendors across Aevos to hawk their wares and the people to enjoy the festivities. Our home has flourished and changed with the times, and yet the people are ever the same, brimming with pride for their home. Generations have come and gone, shifting like the desert sands - and may the Hyspian people continue to prosper forevermore. The festival will take place within the city, in which performances will be showcased and games set forth, including the newly unveiled game of Toro. DIOS bless to all! 4. LA CORTE DE GIRASOL INFORMATIONAL GUIDE Issued on the 14th of Veronica’s Strength of the year of 124 D.R. EL PUENTE El Puente is a week-long Hyspian festival, in which lifelong connections are bridged and made. Friendships are formed, companions with whom you can enjoy your time alongside, and for some, they find their lifelong partner, their spouse. The Sovereign State of Hyspia is pleased to announce its second El Puente festival as its generation comes of age. The festival will take place from the 6th of Maria’s Peace [Oct 25th] to the next Saints week ending upon the 8th of Maria’s Peace [Nov 1st]. Sign-ups begin today to be slotted for a debut and end in a Saints week. INFORMATIONAL GUIDE This guide shall provide the necessary information to our citizenry and visitors on what to expect in the upcoming El Puente. On the matter of debuts, there are a few things of note to keep in mind for those attending: When planning your clothing, it is best to keep in mind that this is within Hyspia - heavy furs and coats may lead to heat exhaustion, even as food and beverages will be supplied. Those debuting are encouraged to wear familial colors, with a hint of gold somewhere upon their person. Hyspia is known for its vibrant wear and fashions, and for those unaware of it, an informational missive has been attached as an in-depth look into Hyspian fashion. Men and women alike are meant to debut, with participation meant to come from both sides, and those of all status. In an effort to keep this from being a lengthy process, royalty may debut alone, those of higher status debuting first - while those following shall debut with their family. Showcased in the previous El Puente, an exchange of tokens will take place. Those debuting are requested to bring a token, whether a flower or item of sentimental value - which are then to be given to an individual they believe has most contributed to who they have become today. FURTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION The following will be a guide as to etiquette to adhere to during El Puente. The donning of tiaras is allowed in this for the nobility, should they have an ancestor they inherited it from. Be careful not to be alone with another, as it could lead to rumor and scandal. Chaperones will be around for this very reason. A Quinceañera is a cultural tradition in which when a female comes to be fifteen years of age, a coming-of-age celebration is held. The male version, though more uncommon compared to its counterpart, is the Quinceañero. When wishing to propose courtship, the offering of pearls is what one must do. When filling out your application to sign-up, which the form will be attached below, a Peer is the titled head of the household of your family, for example, this being the Viscountess Salazar or the Baron Murietta. The heir is the declared heir of that household. If you are neither, you will simply mark that you are neither and specify whether you are a commoner, gentry, nobility or royalty in one of the following questions. Otherwise, as to your application, be sure to include your full name, what nation you reside in and any pertinent information for our El Puente planners. If one wishes to partake in the upcoming El Puente, one may direct their interest towards the form below. Sign-ups will end on the 6th of Horen’s Calling [Oct 23rd] and we will be accepting no more entries thereafter, as the debut list will be published once closed. DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER SERENE HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Viscountess of Banderas, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro, Campagnon and Sevilla, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, etcetera. HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Valencia Belen, Princess-Royal of Hyspia, Duchess of La Dorada, and Countess of Rosario SEÑORITA, Cirilla Zafrios, Secretary to the Sovereign, Lady Protector of her Royal Highness

XIOMARAS DIARY ENTRY #8 Issued on the 5th of Veronica’s Strength, 118 D.R. Dear diary, I have seen the Almighty DIOS and there are no words to describe Him. Omnipotent, omnipresent, beautiful and so full of light. So dazzled by him I was, that if it were not for my attending guards, I may have been trampled by the ensuing earthquake. The once Apostolic Kingdom of Aaun, once having been known as the Holy center of Aevos, has been burned. Destroyed. And a short time later, do we see the trial of the Kingdom of Balian. Accused of plotting to schism, to go against the church. Nightmares plague me still, of the shouts to burn their Queen, of my beloved Uncle being assaulted and of my guards carrying me out as all descended into chaos. I wonder, find the thought creeping into my mind, what those in the future would look back and see. Would these two Kingdoms survive? Will this time period be filled with turmoil? Or will this simply be but a blip in history? My people, they insist that I take some time for myself. A breather. And yet the words of my late Abuela come round and round, that we cannot rest until every last one of those who would harm us are found. But I try. I've squirreled away some time recently, for a chaotic dinner, to wander the orange orchard or to simply nap in the confines of a place long-forgotten by anyone but I. Yesterday, though, despite some smaller troubles - yesterday was good. I set out with a small retinue, to attend the Petran Queens and her Kings wedding. The pew was a bit crowded, elbows jabbing everywhere but the ceremony was beautiful and the company even better. I hope and I pray my own wedding can be just as good, as grand. Filled with laughter and camaraderie. I know yesterday is one of those uncommon days, and so I shall treasure it close to my heart, for surely the time soon to come will be filled with the uncertainty of the desert sands. Signed, Xiomara.
  8. LA CORTE DE GIRASOL TO CELEBRATE LIFE Issued on the 11th of Javier’s Justice of the year of 117 D.R. Those who came to Hyspias aid, of Numendil and Haense are welcomed and greatly encouraged to attend, so that appreciation might be shown. Let there be a light amongst the darkness and DIOS bless. [Thursday, August 29th, 4pm EST] DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro and Campagnon, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, etcetera.

XIOMARAS DIARY ENTRY #7 Issued on the 17th of Sofia’s Beauty, 117 D.R. Dear diary, My muscles burn, and my lungs ache. I could swear the grip of my mother's heirloom is burned into my hands, branded for all eternity. I trained and sparred, accepted offered advice from swordsman teachers. In my mind's eye, my targets, my sparring companions were Darkspawn. Demons. It only egged me on, to try harder, move faster. More, more, more. My Abuela once said we cannot rest until those who harmed us are dead. My Hermanas and I stared at the slain bodies at the time, those who saw to the assassination of my Madre - and those words struck home. My Padres murderer has not yet been found. The investigations are endless, I certainly gave enough incentive to assure there will be no pause and none shall falter. Even with the Edict, it can only do so much. Darkspawn came and they raided, taking one of our citizens. Our soldiers set out, successfully rescuing her alongside called upon allies, but not before she was nearly dead. My prayers to DIOS only grow with fervor. May Hyspia prosper. May my family be safe. May my people be happy. Let me become an adult. Today, though, was something lighter. A light in the darkness. A feast was held to welcome Arturas, where many enjoyed food and drinks amidst laughter and conversation - my secret was still safe and bellies were full. I can only hope my days, our days, continue like today. May DIOS bless us all and see us into a prosperous time. Signed, Xiomara.

XIOMARAS DIARY ENTRY #6 Issued on the 7th of Sofia’s Beauty, 116 D.R. Dear diary, Dominoes fall, whether forward or backwards, it is always in the direction intended by DIOS above. This week has been a difficult one, one I got past just barely by the skin of my teeth. A man I respected, one I called Primo has passed to the Seven Skies but before that, he was the one to show he cared. When I received a letter, in an attempt to make me go against the church, I called upon him and he came without question. That same man who penned the letter is excommunicated now for his actions. War attempts to rear its head for my home and people. Meetings come, over and over. Each with a plea. Enter the war. Stay neutral. How could you? Why won't you? I will do this for you. . Each circle like vultures, waiting for their prey to drop but I made an oath. One before DIOS. I will fight with every last fiber in me, anything to see vengeance, to survive to adulthood. If things were different, would I be running with the chickens? Would laughter ring out amidst the gardens? Or would it be like now, arranging my own marriage in order to best protect my people? Marriage. A strange word to me. I wish I could ask my parents how it works, especially as I prepare a room for the boy. We could deny it still, reject the proposal, it isn't official after all. At least he is a friend. A consolation prize for an impossible situation. I rode with my Retinue a mere day later, to Peace talks. Five days of bickering and flying insults. We stood around a large table, each Canonist Prince standing proud, some silent and yet, some loud. The snacks I'd brought ran out three days in. It seemed to go on forever, and for each step forward, another three was taken back. The land shook beneath our feet and I had to wonder if it was DIOS anger. Anger at the going-ons. The crown weighed heavy, heavier as I arrived home to my people at the gates. They welcomed us back, worried after no word or sign, and urged us to rest. A respite, however brief. The comfort of my bed was welcome, the warmth of my homelands sun. And yet, I awoke to the cries of my sisters, of guards calling for their Sovereign. My Padre was murdered, body left strewn at the gates like a rabbit slain. Drained of blood. War loomed yet, the peace treaty unofficial and my people's cries echoed in my mind - Darkspawn took one of the last remnants of my family. I hadn't felt anything at first. Numb, if anything, after so much loss. Then something bubbled within my chest, grating at me as I strode for the palace dais. Rage. I stared out at my gathered people, reminded of the last emergency court, save for I was looking up at the dais previously. I held so tight to that scepter of mine, lightning and thunder coalescing within as I spoke to my people. My Padre is dead. We will not allow the wanton killing of Hyspians to go unpunished - an edict will be issued, a reward granted to those who would bring me the head of the murderer. They rode out, passion and fury to their voices, seeking the Darkspawn who did this. I left for my office, missives, and meetings followed. A favor offered by a golden voice and a favor declined. I look into the mirror and someone foreign stares back. I am not the child the masses see, not even the Monarch to take up the mantle so early. What am I? Who am I? Later that night, as I knelt in prayer to the Almighty Above, I felt an answer deep within my bones. I am DIOS servant and serve I will.

  13. THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF HYSPIA CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE Issued on the 3rd of Laurelie’s Piety of the year of 115 D.R. INTRODUCTION It is a sad day when one must write a missive such as this, and yet this slight must not go unanswered. Three Saints days ago, a trial summons went up for Señor Zack Zenmous, a man who committed a series of crimes against the Sovereign, Xiomara I and Her Highness, Valencia Belen. His crimes are as listed below; Code IIb; The Duties of Hyspian citizens §1 Each and every citizen of the Viceroyalty of Hyspia has the duty to support and defend the Viceroyalty from internal or external threats. §2 Each and every citizen of the Viceroyalty of Hyspia has the duty to respect and obey the laws of the Viceroyalty of Hyspia. §3 Each and every citizen of the Viceroyalty of Hyspia has the duty to never take up arms against their homeland and stand loyal with the Viceroyal family. Code II; Injuries to Private Body, Soul and Property §3 The slander and defamation of an individual’s name and reputation intentionally by another individual. §9 The threat of committing any of the above to an individual. Code III; Crimes against the state §1 Acting in a manner with the intent to harm or deal damage to the integrity of Hyspia and or the Viceroyal family within or outside of the borders and territories of the Viceroyalty of Hyspia. §2 Attempting to act in a manner with the intent to harm or deal damage to the integrity of the Viceroyalty of Hyspia and or the royal family of Hyspia. As he had not answered to his summons, he is declared Guilty on all counts of his crimes. It is with these multiple counts of crimes that Señor Zack Zenmous is hereby a wanted man. He shall lose all access to our Realm and its borders, alongside the privileges afforded to the Hyspian citizenry. An official bounty will be instituted, calling for him to be brought in alive for rendered punishment. Upon successful completion of the bounty, a sum of seventy-five minas will be granted. With this published missive, I have only one thing to say to the man; the children are the future and not for you to harm as you please. DIOS bless. As of the 1st of Horen's Calling, 116 D.R., this bounty is successful and complete. 14. THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF HYSPIA OF 115 D R. Issued on the 13th of Sofia’s Beauty of the year 115 D.R. INTRODUCTION Upon the recent meeting of the Peerage of Hyspia, amendments have been decided upon as to our Law of Nobility. Listed down below are three amendments, intended to allow for clearer wording and a better future for Hyspia alike. Under petition of the His Excellency, Pedro Salazar, did the first law come into amendment. Found under Leyes De La Nobleza - Laws of Hyspia Nobility, under Article II - On Peerage; it reads Article II - On Peerage II.03 - The Peer of the realm may name an heir for their Peerage. However, the heir must be that of an immediate family member who shares a direct bloodline to the Peer’s family. The Lords petition was in favor of his household which boasts a meritorial based heirship system. Under current laws, only the mainline under the Baron and Baroness may compete for heirship. The amendment to this law allows for those of the non mainline to compete alongside their cousins for a chance at heirship. Any households with meritorial heirships shall be able to do the same. The law has been changed to now read this: Article II - On Peerage II.03 - The Peer of the realm may name an heir for their Peerage. The second law to be amended is on regency, upon His Highness, Rafael del Maravillas petition. The law reads as so: Article II - On Peerage II.07 - A regency of the Peerage may be established through the Hyspian Crown’s discretion. The Lords petition was to clear up the wording on the regency law, so there is no confusion to the stage of Regency. With this in mind, it was changed to the law reads below; Article II - On Peerage II.07 - A regency of the Peerage may be established through the Hyspian Crown’s discretion if there is no clear heir of the age of majority. A third petition, and the second from His Highness, Rafael del Maravilla was to amend the law below on honorary titles within our realm. Article II - On Peerage II.08 - The Hyspian Crown may grant honorary titles to the Peer at the Crown’s discretion. Such titles may be hereditary or nonhereditary at the Crown’s discretion. In an effort to keep to clear wording and the definitions outlined within our lawbook, it has been changed to read as so; Article II - On Peerage II.08 - The Hyspian Crown may grant honorary titles to the Peer at the Crown’s discretion. Such titles are nonhereditary as defined under I.02, Honorary Noblezas. Z DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro and Campagnon, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, etcetera.

XIOMARAS DIARY ENTRY #5 Issued on the 12th of Sofia’s Beauty, 115 D.R. Dear diary, I am nine years old and the weight of my nation and my people rests on my shoulders. Everyday I miss my Madre, my Abuela. Now my Tio. I miss them more when I mediate bickering adults. And a little bit less when Nana holds my hand, hugs me close and hides with me. We spent hours exploring something I’m sure only our Ancestors know about. It was dark, damp and long forgotten bedrolls with moth-eaten fabric could be found amongst corners. Signage, too. It spoke of escape and safety alike. The ticking of a clock, small in stature, would be the only sound other than our breathless laughter and footsteps. Time would pass and I would check the clock, knowing our escape must end and we must return. I have a nation to run. Letters pile onto a desk, my Abuelas desk. The only part of the office now mine that I touch. The rest, the shelves and the furniture, have begun to gather dust. Left in a tomb to rot until I am ready. But will I be ready? Letters. Meetings. Demands. You are a child! You are the Sovereign. But your Highness.. We need you. We need you. We need you. But what about my needs? Signed, Xiomara.
  16. LA CORTE DE GIRASOL ROYAL COURT OF 114 D.R. Issued on the 15th of Veronica’s Strength of the year of 114 D.R. INTRODUCTION This document is meant to act as a retelling of what transpired during the royal court of 114 D.R. The first court held under the reign of Xiomara I. It details any oaths, announcements and petitions made throughout the duration of court. [!] A depiction of the Hyspian throne. As court begun and those have gathered in the throneroom of the Girasol Palace, the newly made national anthem was debuted by the Conductor, Vizondesa Marcela Denodado. It was thereafter the entry of the newly named Sovereign, Xiomara I was made, beginning the courts off in a prayer for those in attendance. Afterwards, the deaths of the late Crown-Princess Santana Leya and the Sovereign Ramona I were announced alongside the timing for their funeral which was to take place after court. The peers were called upon thereafter to swear their oaths to the Crown; The Viscounty of Banderas The Barony of Campos Salvajes The Dual Barony of Soles Gemelos And the Barony of Ramonadora Each peer came forward and swore themselves to the Crown and Hyspia. Having been dismissed, the next part of court took place, in which people were called upon for Knighthood; Lord Julian Salazar Sovereign-Dowager Konstantin of Vilacz Baron Nicolas Murietta And Baroness-Consort Revekka Murietta Each took the oath of knighthood, and rose as Sers of the realm. Each were provided a moniker, save for Lord Julian Salazar, in order of, ‘the Bear Knight’, ‘the Blunt’ and ‘the Expedient’. The Knights were dismissed, save for Ser Nicolas, where he was asked if he would accept the posthumous knighting of his father, Señor Vicente II Murietta. This was accepted, and he was knighted as Ser Vicente II ‘the Loyal’. Next was the calling of the Sovereigns council; Ser Nicolas Murietta Señora Esmeray Luceran Baron-Regent Pedro Salazar Sovereign-Father Luis of Ramonadora Princesa Valencia Belen Señora Esmeray and the Sovereign-Father were not there, but the other three stepped forward and accepted the roles set forth, in this order: Grand Councilor, the Colonel and the Court Chamberlain. A missive was produced for all to see afterwards, attached to this document for your convenience: El Consejo de Hyspia: The Council of Hyspia. Following this, two announcements were made. The first was the creation of the Knightly Order of Carlos, named aptly after the first Knight of Hyspia in the Old Kingdom, Ser Carlos Mendez. The second announcement was of a city expansion, to better accommodate the people and accepting donations from any who wish to assist. Petitions were then announced and those wishing to petition the crown lined up. One such petition was Lady Maldita Murietta, petitioning for training so that she may defend her home - her father, Ser Nicolas Murietta stepped up to take this role on. After came a visiting Orc, who wished to know where he may get some chimichongas. It was replied in kind that there are surely shops in the city selling what he wants. The Baron-Regent Pedro Salazar requested that the law of nobility to be altered, to allow those of the non mainline in their family to try for meritorial heirship. This was approved, and is pending an official missive. A young man requested permission to set up his traveling bakery cart within the city and was granted his request, so long as a portion of food is donated towards the churches alms chest. A young woman wished to learn the history of Hyspia and speak privately with the new Sovereign. In turn, she was told to find a council member after the courtly proceedings had finished. The High Pontiff, Deunoro I and his retinue spoke next, as to the matter of coronation and to inform Hyspia of their new Bishop, the Bishop Mattia. It was spoken that the matters of regency has yet to be resolved and great thanks was made for a Bishop who has made his presence actively known in the city. Following this was the request of diplomacy from a visiting diplomat, Senora Nemea Ke Kai’len. It was agreed to for a letter to be sent, so they may organize a time for a diplomatic meeting. And lastly came Ser Blanca-Francisca, her petition twofold. She wished to take on a role of advisor to her grand-niece, which was approved on the condition of her accepting the task to assist in the forming of the Knightly Order of Carlos. Secondly, she wished for the approval of the civil union of her and her longtime partner. This was approved on two conditions, she must bring her partner to a family dinner and must make some form of art to commemorate Hyspias first civil union. After petitions came to a close, it was announced that the funeral of the late Crown-Princess Santana Leya and the Sovereign Ramona I will take place directly after. A prayer closed out the court thereafter, where people parted for the Church of Blessed Francisco. DIOS LOS BENDIGA, HER ROYAL HIGHNESS, Xiomara I, Sovereign of Hyspia, Duchess of Pacazu, Baroness of Arenisca, Del’mar, Monterro and Campagnon, Lady of La Dorada, Lady of Niseep, Gereon's Hold, and Ciudad de Plata, Protector of the Hyspian People, Protector of the Farfolk, etcetera.
  17. [This is not public and cannot be seen unless shown in RP.] [!] A thickly bound book may be found within the Sovereigns room, locked tightly and with scrawling children's words over the pages once opened. XIOMARAS DIARY ENTRY #4 Issued on the 12th of Veronica’s Strength, 114 D.R. Dear diary, The last time I wrote to you, I talked about what kind of coronation I would want but I didn't want one so soon. My Madre is dead, poisoned. Ironic, when my recent studies taught me about silver. It turns a different color when touching poison. Could that have helped my Madre? Her death led to a massacre. The people call it the Blue Night massacre. There was so much blood everywhere and screaming. I'd prayed with my sisters, locked away in the Bastian until we couldn't take anymore and so we escaped. I learned one thing that day, careful who you trust. It wasn't many days later when Abuela followed my Madre to death. I think it was heartbreak, she loved her kids so, so much. I put on a crown for the first time, and it weighed heavily. My neck groaned, but I had to keep silent. I stared out as people began to file in for court, all staring towards me, wanting to know what is next. And so I held court and then the funerals came, and I watched as my Madre and Abuela burned. What words were there to say? I could only pray. Madre, I miss you. Abuela, I miss you. Noone else leave me, please, oh, please. But that wasn't meant to be. Signed, Xiomara.

  19. LOSS AND ASCENSION A POV POST [This is not known IRPly unless you were there or you were told.] The day began like any other, the Grand-Princess had awoken and prepared for the day. She joined her younger sister Valencia in the palace courtyard, chattering about their favorite animals. Xiomara chose Chickens and Valencia had chosen Elephants. They basked beneath the Hyspian sun as they spoke, until the sound of doors opening came and the duo's Uncle, Señor Nicolas Murietta joined them. The chickens at his farm had babies, and they were invited to join him in seeing the hatchlings, their youngest sister Julieta joining them in the process. The quad found their way to the farming village of Ramonadora, meeting the promised baby chickens and discussing animatedly how each looked. As they spoke, creatures - with rat-like bodies and wings appeared around them. Dirtied paws clung to dug-up carrots, taken from the farmlands and the beginning of the chaos ensued. Shouts sounded, villagers joining the fray of ridding the farmlands of these pests and sometime later, they were successful. Dirtied and clothes torn, Xiomara spoke with her Uncle, intent on going back to the palace to get cleaned up with her sisters and return back after to play with the baby chickens. And so the trio left. They returned back to the palace, and to the eldest sisters room, adjoined to her mother's. Blood trailed outside, a strange sight and after many knocks of which went unanswered, she peered through a slit at the door. Within was the prone and bloodied body of her mother, leaving the Grand Princess stumbling and gasping, as she turned and ran for the door amidst her sister's confused cries. The young girl of seven ran, shouting until her voice ran hoarse for her Uncle. She ran for the outside village, in which a confrontation was being had with would-be brigands. Xiomara shouted, pled, until her Uncle joined her as the villagers dealt with the bandits. And so they returned to the palace, door busted down and the sight was fully seen. Bloodied footprints were left, circular around the Crown-Princess Santana, clearly an assassination. Nicolas Murietta, Captain of the Orden de Francisco and the girl's Uncle, ushered them out of the palace. He half carried them, half nudged them along, until he brought them to the Bastian. Locked in the gatehouse, as he called upon the guards and put the city in lockdown, the girls could only cry and pray. Until their grandmother or father could be found, the line of succession must be protected. It was sometime later that their grandmother, the Sovereign Ramona I was found, unaware as to what happened. Soon, the elder woman's features changed, hardened after the comfort of her granddaughters. She chose a few guards to go with her, to handle the traitors of the palace - leaving the girls to the Bastian. And so they prayed, and huddled close once more. Until more cries came, this time for medics, and this time as people went running to assist - the girls were left alone with some of the guards' children. No news was had for some time. Worry mounted, further so as screams and cries echoed the city, unaware of the going-ons about them and so they made a plan. Xiomara, her sisters and the children there bonded through trauma made a decision. They would not be sitting ducks. They would trust no one but themselves. What little they had access to of the Bastian, they searched, finding themselves some form of weaponry. One a wooden mug, another a recently smithed axe and the rest random odds and ends. They sought their escape, using those distractions to dash out and to the nearby orphanage. They used the access to get to the rooves, where they sank down atop the highest tower they could find, hidden and out of sight. Cold, worried, forlorn. They say there for hours, as cold began to come over the desert landscape. Until finally a voice rose over the din, in search of her grandchildren. They revealed their spot, found their way down where no explanations were had, only the announcement of an emergency court. They trudged, each still clinging to those ill-gotten weaponry, to the palace. The citizenry walked past bodies, slain along the path, and Ramona had stopped. She spoke of their mother being avenged, and thus led them on further until they entered the throne room. The Sovereign Ramona I sat upon the throne and announced the death of Santana Leya, Crown-Princess of Hyspia, mother, daughter, sister, wife and cousin. She then called upon Xiomara, the girls grip so tight upon her axe, as she stared blearily upon her grandmother. She was called upon to swear an oath, the once Grand Princess of seven years named the Crown-Princess - to take up her mother's mantle of heirship at such a tender age. Xiomara Aracely joined her grandmother upon the dais, dark gaze falling upon those stood within the throne room, both dead and alive - and she raised her axe amidst the shouts of those below. “Viva Hyspia!” “Viva Hyspia!” “Viva Hyspia!”

Mine will have seats to sit in and drinks to drink! It is said. There will be horchata and cookies, for everyone to enjoy. I met His Holiness. I invited him over and he said he’d make dinner. Do you think he is a good cook? I hope he is because Senor Cooks cooking only seems to get worse. Boys are odd. Tadeo challenges everyone to a duel and for no reason. And Arturas. . Well, he’s odd too. He dances around fires and plays lots. A man was bleeding and hurt. I prayed for him, to DIOS. I hope he’s okay. But what if the monsters got him? I miss the chicken farm. Madre won’t let me leave the city without guards. So I have been studying a lot, reading books and training. Did you know silver can detect poison? I learned that. Until next time, Xiomara.

Before I fund it all out, I deklared a second duel, this time to Señor Ignacio. He insulteed my Hermanas and I, and so I chaleenged and beat him, and so he had to take back what he said and apologize. Did you know he was the hermano to the first person I dueled, Señor Tadeo? I lerned about fighting this week. Tio put a hilmet on my head and we ran and fought, pusheeng things to the windows. Tia called out to us, saying she'd get us and put us in the water! But I got away and ran into my Madres arms. Val had her nameday, and it was filled with aneemals! I LOVE the Lion! Then a Doll did a dance and gave us all toys! It was so so much fun. I don't think Madre will notice but Padre might, he's a farm-head! Khiken ------>>>>>> I dekilared a duel! A boy was mean and so we both ran - and I won! Now we’re friends. My nameday was birdiful! I met people and did a show! I have a new Abuelo, he likes khikens and said he will get me a behr! Behrs come from cold places, did you know? I’m going to go now, I want snacks before SENORA Mean eats them all.
