  1. Event Planners, MC Names: EbonsquireEvent Type: RP | ExplorationYour Timezone: EST -5, Midwest (Indiana)Affected Groups: It's open. Any group may come, though 6-8 people is the recommended amount.Event Location: Northwestern Coast of Asul Summation: The Helderenberg is a mighty vessel, built from burly, dark wood and strong ferrum nails. Love and sweat was put into this ship whose course was set for Balanak Peak, an island some ways away past Axios in the middle of the eastern ocean. The living quarters were of adequate quality, fitted with a desk for each crew member and relatively comfortable bedspreads. A good twenty rooms in all did the ship have just for the main crew. But they were nothing as grand as the captains quarters! A king-sized bed, a desk with enough area on the top for doing some heavy duty paperwork, a great view of the ocean, and other such amenities befitting a nobleman. But, oddly enough, there were twenty-six members on this ship, and not twenty-one. And twenty-six rooms. in total. Unfortunately, the Helderenberg managed to go completely off course and collided with the sun-scorched sands of northern Asul instead, that once wondrous ship becoming a capsized mess along the beaches. Well, not really. In fact, it managed to remain relatively intact after impact, tough as the damn thing was. But nothing stirred. And there were twenty-six rooms on the Helderenberg. And now there were five members, who similarly did not stir. Concept Images/Screenshots: What help do you require from the ET Actors or Builders?: I'll need help building the ship -- it shouldn't be too large or too small. Should have 4 larger quarters 20 small quarters, a storage room, and a captains quarters along with a few others for the crew at least. Will also need actors, which can be a combination of non-ET players and ET.
  2. joey calabreeni

    [Denied]Joey Calabreeni's Application

Joey Calabreeni's Application Minecraft name/s: kincaid_ Age: 17 Timezone: CT Skype/Discord: joey calabreeni and calabreeni#9104 respectively. What is your availability: Usually around throughout the week less I have work. Tell us an issue you currently experience on the server: Staff and Player communication, Roleplay focus, and dynamic roleplay. I want this place to be fun and a hobby, not a business that people can stroke their egos with. Right now it feels like bans are handed out like candy, warns are prevelent, and people aren't respecting one another. We're all friends here, and I want to ensure a community that works together to build a better server. Forget the status quo. How do you feel individual GMs should present themselves?: A GM shouldn't be afraid of directly communicating with players one on one. Most of the times when interacting with a GM, they present themselves like robots. At the end of the day we're on this server for fun, and the GMs should sympathize with players and be able to directly coordinate stuff with them. Player interaction is key within being a good staff member. How do you feel the GM team collectively should present itself?: Game Team members are meant for moderation and order. They aren't meant to baby the community, but to guide it and act as a judge in most cases. The Game Team shouldn't seclude itself from the community, nor treat themselves on any pedestal higher than a regular player. This isn't a job, it's literally volunteering for a minecraft roleplay server. We're all players at the end of the day, and the disconnect felt between player and staff runs deep. Excluding hacking, harassment, and blatant malice; the GM team should leave it to the players to make ban reports rather than acting on our own judgement. This is the communities server, not the collective staffs. Please list three players who will vouch for you: Shannon: Shannon and me go back, but shes always proved to be a good gauge of how parts of the community are doing. An avid roleplayer, I think she'd vouch for me considering our many roleplay interactions and working together in the Westerlands. Skylez: Skylez is by far one of the best event team members I've seen so far. His ability to change his style for different audiences and attitude during events is bar none, the best I've seen in a while. Active, ingenious, and a good friend: I would like nothing more than for Skylez to vouch for me. Pureimp10: Boby and me have only recently become acquainted, but I scratched his back and he's scratched mine. Boby is a good source of server knowledge, writing, and a head player in a community strong as concrete. He's a good leader whom I would have vouch for me any day. Harrison: Harrison and me have become really close, I'd say. We share a Waifu after all. All jokes aside, I really looked up to Harrison as a staff member for both his efficiency, dedication, work on the Warzones, and general attitude as a staff member. I never felt like Harrison was being artificial when talking to. I hope to emulate his staff tenure, and believe it to be strongly short lived. What is your relationship with the members of the current GM Team?: Despite what might be seen, I actually interact well with the GM team in private. I've no qualms with any of them personally; despite what my posting might suggest. Rebecca and myself get along well, I talk to Cablam often, and I even like JVQ. I see myself interacting well with the current GM team and bridging the gap between player and staff. What are your finest and worst traits?: Calabreeni Pros Community first: I'm an avid believer that the community is the lifeblood of the server, you'd think this would be common knowledge. Community input should be the peak of the mountain when concerning really anything. This isn't a staff junta meant to place our singular views on the server. We represent the community and the ideas they would like to see implemented. Determination: When I want something done, I try and give it my all to get it done. Over the past two months I've put more time into the server than I ever thought I would, be it building the Westerlands or now my peasant village. When I get a project I really am enthusiastic about, I put every ounce of my body into it. Calabreeni Cons Demoralized: As seen in the past, if things go even slightly badly I get stuck on it and often times demotivated. I don't like to see projects fail, no matter how big or small they are and more often than not get stuck on it. Radicalized: I'm a bit radicalized in some respects and often have a crass and blunt way of expressing it through sheer populist movement on the forums. Many of the staff don't take kindly to it, and whilst I look at it as a pro; many more see it as a con. Being loud isn't the best way to go all the time. Tell us about your time on Lord of the Craft: Following weeks of watching the Yogscast Shadow of Israphel series, I knew that I wanted to be a mineman. Having found Lord of the Craft through a means long gone to me, I joined the server in Aegis as a ripe eleven year old lying as a sixteen year old. Having wandered around, joining the Teutonic Order, being edgy for a long while, before ultimately making my leave in Asulon: I later returned in the Fringe to land a spot in a small community of old Teutons playing vikings. I still wasn't really feeling the server and left all the way until Vailor; and thats really when my time on the server really began. For starters, I met Faiz whom I consider a very close friend. Having served in the Mubarizun; the OG Qali guard, I finally got a taste of the community. From there, I met Zhulik and Shady. Shady and Zhulik really left a lasting impression on me, be it through their leadership or creativity in creating groups. They allowed me a chance at leadership in Hallowvale Contracting, the mercenary company as an advisory role where I began to meet a lot of close friends, such as Eagles, Shannon, Unbaed, NJ, Kav, Jake, and bisnitch. I began to get more involved in the server through various RP groups, most militaristic and RP orientated in fashion: Be it the White Riders, Larian Regiment, Sappers, Company of the Westerlands, or Kingdom of the Westerlands. During that time, being banned for a brief stint for Xraying and living through the Free Kincaid movement, I really began to speak up and get invovled in community discussion. Long story short, those very same close friends gave me the opportunity to lead a Kingdom, which at the beginning was big league successful and considered the most active nation on the server at one point or another. Be it Caius Sigismund, Joseppi Calabreeni, Adil, Willem de Denesle, or even Rufus Strablaski: I've made it my goal to have fun on the server and offer input to make it a better place. Thank you. What parts of the server are you most interested in?: The community and longevity of the server. I joined Lord of the Craft when I was a straight up edgy eleven year old. The fact its been around for so long, and the people I've met here has really been what keeps me here most. Be it the inside jokes, ****-posting, or even conflicts: Lord of the Craft truly has a small culture built around it and I'm glad that I got involved when I did. Other than yourself, who of the current applicants would you like to see on the GM Team?: Nazdus: Despite his app being "denied" in this lame application wipe, Nazdus and me met a while back and I've really been amazed at how he came to the server. He roleplays, knows his stuff with PVP, and is generally a good guy to talk to. In an age where mechanics based GMs are strived after, I couldn't see anyone more qualified than Nazdus be accepted. Smawton: This guys an ideas man, his recent thread was filled with no-brainer ideas that should be implemented today. The fact he wasn't accepted is really shocking, considering what he wants to do for the server as a whole and the orc community. ryno2: Same situation as Nazdus, he knows his stuff. I don't see why not giving someone a chance is possible, theres a trial period after all. Ryno produces well thought out information concerning Mineman warfare, respectable. Vegetarianism: We're both named Joe. In all seriousness, I'm fairly certain that giving Vegetal the ability to be on the GM team would prove as a learning experience for all of us, and even fruitful. He's proven to be a community builder and from what I know, works very well with new players. Link me a good song: See the title song, Neil Cicierga is A+.
  3. Zhulik

    [Accepted] ZHULIK'S GM APP

TRIAL APPLICATION Minecraft name/s: Zhulik Age: 18 Time zone and availability: PST, GMT -8:00 I’ve college Monday-Thursday, availability may vary depending on the workload assigned. Normally I am most active Friday-Sunday as I’ve those days off, though, it is still very possible to get on within the week. Skype: Opeksun What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?: Firstly, I am campaigning for the direct removal of the link between discord and LOTC in order to eliminate lag. Every day Roleplayers are spat upon by this lag and the plugin only benefits the career staffers. All talk on discord, no seeable roleplay actions. Now I’m certain the lord Telanir will refute this claim, stating “This is the most scientifically advanced thing the staff has ever produced, it is essential to our survival”. Let’s be honest, though, who uses discord? Most people use teamspeak because it’s easier to use and more private. I want to Make LOTC Smooth Again. Secondly, I am campaigning for the use of LC amongst all settlements. No player wants to grind useless resources after building endless hours on their own build servers where they can actively show their creativity- in fact, by allowing any settlement to use unlimited LC for building encourages more creativity and will ensure builds look better in the long run. Take Johannesburg, for example. It was rather bland due to the build's rushing, yet it improved greatly with the use of LC artisans. Should one claim that LC is too abusable, that’s on the staff to determine ways to deter it. A Lot like the use of firearms in the US, guns aren’t the ones that kill people; People kill people. Using that sense, LC wont cause abuse, people will. LC encourages RP, and will also prevent eye-sores from popping up. Together, we can Make LOTC Beautiful Again. Thirdly, I do believe the removal of nexus is necessary. I am not one of those individuals who screeches that nexus infringes on pvp by any means as I rarely pvp myself. I have noticed that nexus crafting in particular has added a large, unnecessary bureaucracy. Stonemasonry, Mining, Woodworking, Lumberjack, Leatherworking, Farming and Chef are particularly useless skills as it adds a layer of stupidity to each skill such as fair farmer to receive seeds back when harvesting wheat, fair chef to make edible bread and Apprentice woodworker to make a minecraft boat. The only decent skills are enchanting, blacksmith and breeding as it somewhat makes sense. Furthermore, I am convinced that nexus armor is directly responsible for a good portion of lag. Each set/weapon has their own percentiles and I figure it is overkill on the server to calculate that x100 every millisecond in a battle. To remedy the uniqueness of some crafting recipes, I advocate re-implementing the old crafting system that was seen in Anthos. Iron ingots could be turned into chain links to make chain armor and so on. The only thing I enjoy about nexus currently is the way things are organized, I.E. you click on what you want to craft depending on the station. I simply figured it would be a great improvement to have all portions of nexus unlocked, including armor, as aengulic smiths are inevitable regardless. I want to Make LOTC Usable Again. I know nothing about coding in truth, but I know the issues presented are issues most people on LOTC want to see remedied. What is something you would like to change on the game moderator team?: For the duration of my presence on this server, I’ve always detested the staff. I found most staff members to be in the pockets of admins or nations as they simply hung around in TS with one another and it gave off the impression of a colossal circlejerk. Recent events have proven this theory even further, and it is the main reason I am applying. I am applying because I want to attempt and break up the circlejerk as an outsider. I was perfectly complacent with whining with the rest of the server; however, now it seems like I must step up to the plate in order to serve the players which are often ignored because the staff doesn’t want to hurt kowaman/telinir’s feelings or infringe upon the biased rulings of fellow staff. Furthermore, I think the staff has become too bureaucratic and I’d want the staff to return to a more laissez faire process. The staff shouldn’t intervene for every little thing, I believe the playerbase can solve issues for themselves. Be it from the constant altering cycle of nation-dominated staff or poor picks, I wish to act as a bastion of rationality and conservatism in the ever changing ****-show that the staff often presents itself as. Words to describe how I’d wish to change the staff are difficult to think of as I do not wish to get preachy, wrothful nor emotional. To put into perspective as to how I believe the staff should act, I picture imattyz as one of the great admins due to his transparency and I’d want to emulate that for the player base. FOR THESE NEXT TWO QUESTIONS, I’VE ASKED FELLOW PLAYERS TO ANSWER THEM FOR ME AS I WASN’T GOING TO PRESS MY DIMPLE, SMILE, AND SAY THAT I WAS PERFECT. I AM NOT BY ANY MEANS! What are your finest qualities?: Opinionated: I am wicked conservative and thus am great. I am a god fearing man and attempt to rationalize things before I act. I am loyal to the cause, and act honest. I find sinners to be scum and they must improve themselves to be good! Like Pius_Malta, I am better than most people. According to Others: I tend to maintain a control over teamspeak, thus can maintain a large body of individuals and manage them properly. I am charming and handsome (thanks rhode). I am unbiased in the sense that I will chew anyone out if they screw up, be it friend or foe. In addition to this, I believe it could be applied to the staff as I would never intervene in a ruling amongst a friendly group due to my belief in honesty/unbiasedness and would be willing, to an extent, to punish those clearly in the wrong. I know how to build for roleplayers rather than for nations. To explain this, when I build I have the object of roleplay in mind rather than making a German-style city. I am a manager and want to ensure that the best possible environment for roleplay is provided to the players. I am a diligent and hard worker. When inspired, I will, to the best of my ability, to create quality work. Furthermore, when working, I become a workaholic and can finish projects relatively swiftly. I am an artist to an extent. I can draw, do graphics, build, etc. I am not claiming to be the best on the server, however I do think I could create interesting things for it. I know how to take a joke and know when others are joking. What are your worst qualities, and how could you improve these aspects?: Opinionated: I hold grudges. When wronged, I personally to it that revenge is distributed accordingly and will often times go off in skype chats when angry. According to Others: I am too authoritarian. Often times people see me as an overbearing figure that wants to micromanage things should I find it sub-par. Furthermore, I look down on those I deem lesser. Dabliusmaximus claimed that the reason I gave off the impression of homophobia was because that I was secretly a homosexual. The truth is, my mother recently decided she was lesbian and destroyed my family to live with her mistress (this isn’t a joke). In truth, though, I do find it rather immoral to be openly homosexual the same way I find it immoral for heterosexuals to make out in public. This is a personal opinion, however, and wouldn’t interfere with the job as homosexuality shouldn’t be a modreq nor would I insult homosexuals as a member of the staff. I do not ‘interact’ with the players enough. Truthfully, I spend most of my time behind the scenes and observe what the players want and how they work. I am not an extroverted individual, thus I hold a disdain for small-talk roleplays nor have I exited my comfort zone of roleplay to become a magic laser shooting elf or something other than a moralistic human. One of my biggest criticisms is my ‘racism’. I am not a racist! I am just proud to have a caucasian complexion and hold no guilt for it. I don’t hate other races nor judge people on it, as I’ve accepted people of other ethnicities into my clique. I base people on merit, not nationality/skin color; though, I will banter about it in private skype chats and teamspeak. I blast my soundboard in teamspeak to the point of physical harm to troll people. I have a reputation of being a forum shitposter and troll. What members of the current staff could you look to for guidance?: As stated previously, I hold great disdain for a good portion of the staff. I guess the staff I appreciate currently are Tau, Cruz, Pyro, Ambdu and Spud as they get the job done without staff intervention. I would’ve said Aerial, but they killed him! Any staff member that holds a laissez faire ideology and just chills is good in my books. Some past staff members I like: Imattyz Harold Winty (he did the evil modreq of death) Mogroka the Admin Rael (IDC if he chat bombed he was good!) Who do you not get along with on the current team?: Anyone who doesn’t share my opinion or acts like an SJW. Wrynn because he didn’t free kincaid! How much free time do you have? Will this change in the foreseeable future?: On weekdays, it can range to pretty much infinity to never depending on college work load. At the moment, I’ve no restrictions though finals are steadily approaching in december. This spring I am going to get a proper job aswell, so that may interfere with a bit of my weekday time. CREDIT TO JEFF CREDIT TO KINCAID_ P.S. For all those wondering, the face is not me! I just took a 50’s radio star because his smile was inspiring. I look like a navajo screamer according to pius_malta! P.P.S. If you -1 because "lucien sheggit" that's fair. if you -1 because "ur racist, mean and a homophobe" i hope you know there's a reason your vote is worth 3/5 of a human being's.
  4. Trial Application Minecraft name/s: Gorgemel, Yuprp Age: 19 Time zone and availability: EST Late Afternoons to midnight Skype: Ya’ll have it! What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?: I’ve always wanted a more connected playerbase, some kind of PR stuff you know?Get people excited to come on and play, attract more to the server and get them online for more than just some pvp or some grind-time. What is something you would like to change on the game moderator team?: Connection to community and overall presence. It seems as if the gm team has little to no pull over the server anymore, having been heavily subdued. Could be wrong about that, but it's what i see. What are your finest qualities?: I am a creative individual who knows how to get stuff done. Any project I start, I make sure I finish and do it to the highest quality that is possible. I’m also way more chill and level-minded compared to my previous stint on the team. I also have experience in nearly all of the staff teams that exist today, having been an ET, ET Lead, FM, and a GM. Granted, I have a less than ideal history revolving around my time as a GM, I believe my experience taught me not to act in the immature way that I did. What are your worst qualities, and how could you improve these aspects?: I’m mischievous ;). Nah but I like to joke around a lot and don’t take stuff that seriously, both a bad thing and a potential good thing. Depends how you look at it, I guess. What members of the current staff could you look to for guidance?: Dizzy771 cruzazul8 Harold Beast720 and croleo Who do you not get along with on the current team?: More recently, I’m a pretty agreeable guy, don’t really care too much about getting spiteful at people over a game. TBH tho **** cruzazul8. How much free time do you have? Will this change in the foreseeable future?: In the next week? Not much in fairness, gonna be moving into my 2nd year of uni this thursday, and will be partaking in some ‘activities’ until monday or so. After that tho, I’ll be available in the afternoons and the weekends. Gonna be a pretty reliable schedule for the first sem, after that will have to see what classes i take in 2nd sem.
  5. WuHanXianShi14

    LeoWarrior14's GM application

Minecraft Name/s: LeoWarrior14, CounterFactual Age: 19 Time zone and availability: PST (GMT -8). I'm online daily for at least 2-3 hours. Skype: leowarrior14 What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?: I want to set up a system of precedents based on past cases. Multiple GMs often make different verdicts on the same issues because they don't communicate with one another enough. What I would do is set up a system where every time a player dispute happened where a gray area of the rules came into contemplation, I would propose the GMs record the details of the case, the outcome of the case, and the main issue of contention in the case. So, in the future when a similar issue comes up, the GM dealing with it won't have to rely on his judgement, which could be inconsistent with other GMs and anger players, and instead have an archive of past situations to refer to. This will promote consistency and structure in the GM team and give the players less to complain about in regards to GM decisions. What are your finest qualities?: I'm a logical thinker, I'm a decent mediator. I have good work ethic, I can both lead group discussions or participate from the sidelines. I always make decisions at face value rather than on emotional zeal. Plus, I've already been a trial once so I know the motions. What are your worst qualities, and how could you improve those aspects?: I tend to be a contrarian. Frankly I just find enjoyment in debate. I know it can get irritating and I've been working on choosing more carefully what I want to contest, I know if I question everything then my word holds less meaning. What members of the Staff could you look to for guidance?: Mitto Will James Emily Ski Who do you not get along with on the current team?: Don't think that matters since I plan to work professionally with all of them. Besides, I really don't have anyone I hate on the team, only people I've had past altercations with, which frankly was too long ago for me to care about. How much free time do you have Will this change in the foreseeable future?: 2-3 hours a day online, usually. This fluctuates depending on how busy I am with my work in college. It could be more or less.

    Destroyer_Bravo's Ban Appeal

Player Report (If applicable, please provide a link): N/A Minecraft Name: Destroyer_Bravo, Tasty_Cheesecake Rule Broken/Disputed (Multikill, Griefing, Xray, Etc. Be specific.): Ten forum warns Character Witnesses (Name(s)): Cappy Event Details (Reason for actions. Apology. Etc.): I am known to be a very crass person, at times rude, and very confrontational with high elves. This I cannot deny. However, first and foremost I apologize for the final feather that broke the camel's back. The comment was quite rude in hindsight, and a representation of my emotions, as I am known to make often. Such is the consequence of my notably young age in comparison to upper classmen and college students. But, I had a warn which was not valid at the time, an "expires in 100 days" warn, which should have been removed. I understand that I should have gone to an FM to get it taken off, but I only wish for this to be known and acknowledged. Screenshots/Vids (Link): http://gyazo.com/1e9245e038b4aec196663555d9a6a863
  7. FlamboyantRage

    [Actor] Usopp's Et Application!

Minecraft name(s): UsopptheSniper/halt99 Skype ID: halt999 Time zone: PST (However, I'm up rather late, as the Aussie ET can confirm) Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: None so far! Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? Nope. What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present): (There's too many to list, so here are some) Legend of Legaia The Bard's Tale All Half-Life's ArcheAge World of Warcraft Guild Wars 2 Star Wars: The Old Republic Witcher RuneScape Skyrim What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? Katari Stirling is my main and only character that I play actively. I will only sacrifice him if I feel that it's needed, otherwise I'd like to keep playing him. What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain. I can cater towards anyone. However, a majority of my events will be peaceful-ish type events. This doesn't mean I'm uncomfortable doing anything else, but I would just prefer /my/ events to be more peaceful. I will gladly do any sort of event if I'm partnering up/helping another ET out. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? 1. Organization of both the event and the ET. This basically means, the event has a rough outline of what's going to occur (as long as this is a /planned/ event and not a spontaneous one). I say the ET as well because if the event is organized, all the people are there, but the ET doesn't have all his character stuff organized (I'm talking lore and things like that, such as what would happen if it got shot by a fireball), the event is going to lag behind and people lose interest. 2. Enjoyment. The event should be enjoyable for the vast majority, if not all of the people present. You can't please everyone, but you should try to put a smiley face on as many people as you can. 4. Patience. Not everyone types at the same speed nor can everyone handle the chat spam in larger events. It's important to know when to slow down and make sure everyone is up to speed on what is going on. Also, new players may not exactly have a perfect grasp on things (such as commands, waiting for another person to respond, PG'ing, etc.), so being able to cope with that while running an event, in my opinion, is important. 3. Feedback. This is for after the event is over, but I feel people should be asked to see if they liked the event and whether or not they have any idea on how to improve things for the future. When was the last time you saw a event? Attempt of saving an Archmage in Rivel. Large group of people from the major Orders went into Rivel to try and stop the Undead from sacrificing a kidnapped person, but ultimately failed. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? I am adaptable, been around for a while so I know a lot of people meaning I won't have issues plopping an event down in various places, I don't mind partnering/grouping up for an event, and I have a loooot of time on my hands. Lore-wise, I'm well read on most of the more used magics and their red-lines (Voidal, Clerical and Druidic), the alchemy lore, Spectral lore, and the basic races. I know some of the creature lore as I have been recently going over it in anticipation for if I get ET, the ones listed in my Events (down below) for example. I am a quick reader and learner, so if someone has an event they need help with or if I'm going to do an event, I do not believe there will be an issue with me going over the lore that I am not familiar with. . I am pretty good at organizing folks and don't believe I'll have any trouble with that. Why do you want to be part of the ET? Well, during the off hours (12-7am PST) there aren't many things going on, and we only have 2 ET who are active during those hours. I feel like I could contribute/help out by spreading the events around. I've been playing on and off on this server (first on halt99 then my switch to Usopp) for over 3 years and I feel that it is time for me to give back to the community. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon. 1) For 1-3 person Draiochta Lore: A wandering Draiochta is travelling around until he spots a person/small group. Thereupon he approaches the group, asking if they want a small performance in exchange for minas. From there, the Draiochta starts to cause mischief and its up to the players how to handle him. The Draiochta would pull pranks such as stealing a small item, doing a bit of magic, and basically being an overall nuisance, but not showing any hostility. There will be a list of items/articles of clothing that the Draiochta will fancy and try to steal. Upon taking one of these, the Draiochta will offer to give it back if the player beats him in a game. There will be no set game and it will differ from person to person. It could be as simple as rolling dice to something more complex as a series of tasks the player(s) have to complete. If the players decide to take a different approach and attack him, the Draiochta will (depending on how armed/dangerous the players are) either put up some resistance by say, magically tying the player's boot laces together, or simply running away by transforming into a flock of butterflies. If the player wins by beating the Draiochta in either the game or in combat, they will receive some sort of RP item that was most likely nicked off another person. 2) For a group of 5-10 Man-Frog Lore: It's a pleasant day in Gimblewood (can be another city however if need be), citizens are roaming about, doing their thing. However, something is wrong... A citizen stumbles upon an open storage door and spots some odd and muddy footprints leading in and out of room. Should the player investigate, it will be revealed that some of the carrots and ale have been stolen! The people follow a trail of dropped crops and eventually stumble upon the lair of the Man-Frog! Depending on the number of players present, there will either be a few Man-Frogs living in a cave or one Man-Frog resting in a muddy puddle. On the way to the lair/upon entering, the players will have to bypass some minor traps the Man-Frogs have constructed. If the players are hostile or come in armed, the Man-Frog's wolf companions will come and interfere. (This may be a mob-spawn event of PvE, depending on what the players want/how many there are). After slaying the wolves, the players can choose to attack the Man-Frogs/drive them out. Upon doing so, the players will notice some stolen goods in the corner of the cave/sticking out of the puddle. If the players take on the more peaceful approach after bypassing the traps, they will stumble upon the wolves, who will growl and be spooky, but won't immediately attack. The players will have a chance to interact with the Man-Frogs and see their odd way of life. There will be hints dropped during the event for a way to please the Man-Frogs, in which completed, the players will be given compensation in the way of a reward. 3) For a group of 20+ Mimic Lore: It's a party! A seemingly wealthy person wanders around gathering folks that are interested in having a good time and takes them to his mansion. There is a planned schedule of games and festivities and each of the winners is taken into the back to get a prize. However, as the party moves along, the winners don't come out of the back. Eventually, someone investigates, and finds the winners are no where to be seen! In the center of a room is a rug, where all the prizes are laid out. Upon closer inspection, the rug reveals its true form, a mimic! The house has a few mimics inside of it and the owner is no where to be found. If the players try to flee, they will see a note on the door, from the owner, explaining that they need to find the all the fakes (mimics) and then they'll be let free. All the exits are blocked off, whether by magic or by sturdy lock, and it's up to the players what to do now. There will be other rooms in the house, including a basement that the players can hide/explore. These rooms will have surprises in them, which may or may not be triggered after the mimics begin their attack. (This is a mob-spawn event with slimes and a few other surprise mobs depending on where the players explore as others have noted. I realize that not everyone enjoys PvE, which is why there are the other rooms in which other surprises will be). How long do you plan to stay in the ET? As long as I am needed. Tell me a joke. I don't have a joke but here is this abridged version of Attack on Titan

    Tape's Apple Please Eat

Player Report (If applicable, please provide a link): There ain't no player report. I ain't no meanie. Minecraft Name: TapeSauce. Rule Broken/Disputed (Multikill, Griefing, Xray, Etc. Be specific.): I don't think I broke any rules. And honestly I'm not really sure who banned me. It might've been Ouity because I'm pretty sure that he was the only moderator online at that moment. I will elaborate on what happened in the event details, but it might've been because I went against staff orders on the server for something. Character Witnesses (Name(s)): Probably Ouity. Kralek is the only person I spoke with right after getting banned. Event Details (Reason for actions. Apology. Etc.): Get ready for the ride of your life!: It all began when Tythus banned me. *cue flashback harp~.* TapeSauce -> Tythus: Pull the plug. Tythus -> TapeSauce: Why? TapeSauce -> Tythus: Pull the plug pl0x. Tythus -> TapeSauce: Why? Tythus -> TapeSauce: Say why. TapeSauce -> Tythus: Why. Then I got banned :P. That was my first offense on the server. The reason I was banned this time is. . . Honestly I'm not sure. It all happened pretty quick. There was some kind of bug on the server where people could essentially speak to every chat at once or at least to the same defect as that. I saw people doing it and I wasn't paying attention so if a GM broadcast'd for us not to do so it's my fault for not catching it. One of my buddies messaged me how to do what everyone else was doing: [Redacted] So I did! *TapeSauce Hreyy. Then after a while~ *TapeSauce Make Adunians. After that I was banned so I'm quite sure that's the reason. I guess Ouity told everyone that we weren't allowed to abuse the server bug. However I was too busy chatting on Skype and rarely doing any actual attentive role-playing on LotC. I simply received a message that told me how to do what the cool kids were doing. From now and 'til the end of time I shall be Sorry if what I did was really bad and made things difficult for the staff. I was half-asleep when I did it. And if I am not accepted entry back into LotC I understand. I just want to say something to you all one last time if that is the case. . . Screenshots/Vids (Link): That's all I got.

    The Cult Of Iblees

<spoiler> So, here you have it, folks. A small, player run Antagonist that'll be there. I haven't seen an Iblees Cult officially in a long, long time. So, here it is. </spoiler> Opening the Gates of Knowledge And it was that of the will of Iblees that all nations be subjugated under his powerful being, and the failed experiment of the Descendants be only a testimony to the accursed Creator's absolute failure. So therefore the Dark Lord descended upon the races of mortality, only to be held back by thin shackles of those in the higher realms. Scattered remnants of his powerful legions remain in the races of man, not united under one banner. One eye. But all things will come to an end, and the period of dis-unification will end just as well. Our Advance Cultists believe that it is under the will of Iblees that they, under a twisted manifest destiny, destroy all that the Creator had made. For Iblees is to create anew, under his oversight, a glorious new world that will stand the test of time. For this to work, all must fall under the bog of corruption. Everything must be coated in ash and flame, by the bitter cold until it can be reforged to beauty. All those who agree and work towards the desolation of all that is known as falsy "holy" are considered to be Branches of his great being. Setherien was one of his largest Servants, but he was foolish in thought and tried to go up against the races alone. At the end, betrayal was in his mind. Iblees used his powers over the Descendants to smite Setherien. This means that those who serve rather morally low deities or are plagued with evil themselves are welcome in, for they are branches of the Dark Lord. ((There are doctrines written up, but more will be posted with time.)) Populace Prophet: The bringer of Iblees's will. Said to meditate day and night on his corrupted being, the Prophet is in charge of delivering forth his great Will. Phantasm: The three Phantasms and the Prophet make up the chain of Cultists, each taking on their own Disciples. They are the backbone of rituals, the ones to deliver Iblees's Herald. Disciple: Those who are direct apprentices and "Disciples" of a Phantasm. They answer to their mastter and actively contribute to the Cult. Each Phantasm takes on at least one Disciple, and is responsible for keeping them active within the Cult. Application IC: Name: What deity do you follow (If not Iblees)?: Anything about yourself: OOC: Username: Timezone: Skype: Will you be active?:

    Candydeath13's Et Application

Minecraft name: candydeath13 Skype ID: candydeath13 Time zone: EST What race/group do you think your events would best cater to? The events I would create would hopefully be best catered to anyone who happens to come across them, but I'd like to do them around places that don't really get to see many events, like the orc lands, if I've heard correctly. Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: Not a one. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? 1.) A successful event must be interactive and subject to changes based on the input of the participants. It shouldn't be set up with specific obstacles to make those participating in the Event have to react a specific way, but instead be open to creative and innovative solutions. For example, if a creature were to take residence in a nearby cave and prowl around at night, don't make it so the players have to figure out a particular solution you choose, but instead make it so they think up their own solutions, such as forming a guard, or sealing the cave. 2.) Powergaming must be avoided at all costs, as the whole point of making Events is to provide fun RP for all those involved, not to win, or terrorize people just for the sake of it. Don't make something that can't be stopped, but don't make something that isn't remotely challenging for the players. 3.) A successful event needs to be challenging, and offer a sense of achievement to the participants when concluded. Nobody is going to be proud of themselves for scaring off a horrific beast by screaming at it, at least not OOCly. Events need to avoid stereotypes and cliches, they need to be fun, interesting, and unique for the players. If a single, say, shark bat, attacks, say, Vaerhaven, that's fine, even perhaps a family of them would be okay. But if shark bats attacked every other day, and weren't part of a larger, ongoing event, that would get old quite fast. 4.) People like to get something out of it, be it a souvenir or just a small trinket. It's nice to have a trophy of some sort to remember a personal achievement for a character, especially if a lot of RP was put into the event. What type of events are you most interested in creating? To be honest, I think there is a lack of 'puzzling' events. I would like to make events that challenge not only the character physically, but also provide some interesting mental challenges, and a different look on problems. Instead of combatting or controlling a problem, I want to make events that involve players thinking up ideas and interacting with each other in order to find the best solution to it, and rethinking their actions. "Should I kill it? What if it isn't evil?" If there is a creature, it can be fought, but there will also always be some weakness or way around it if you can figure it out. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? I believe the best things I could contribute to the Event Team are my creativity and activity. Often I would help out Timelord_Lalve with events, be it just thinking up a quick "extra" character for him to kill or maim or something, just to add suspense for the others involved, and contributing the occasional idea or two for events. I'm very active on the server, and would have little trouble coming up with new ideas for events ;) Create three distinct RP scenarios/events that you, as an actor, could create for others (one paragraph each): The Mind Maze: Sitting deep within the mines across Anthos lies an ancient tome. Upon stumbling across and opening said book the character would be taken within their own mind, going through an imaginary maze with all sorts of obstacles, horrors, and even their own memories. After battling, thinking, and traversing their way through the mind maze, they would reach a room (once again, in their mind). At the end of the maze, in the room, a floating blue orb and a floating red orb would appear, and they would be given the choice to either escape the maze and forget everything, or keep the maze within their memories and be branded with a mark signifying their triumph. (:3) The Hermit's Favors: Upon walking into a forest, an old hermit waves the players over and asks if they'd do him a favor. If they agree, he asks for one favor after another, each harder and more ridiculous than before, until the players fail, give up, or get fed up with it all and confront him. Such tasks would start with something like a simple fetch quest, then gradually become much harder, like vanquishing some beast in a nearby cave, or solving some problem within a given time limit. The more tasks they are able to do, the more trinkets and souvenirs they get, and the more pleased the hermit becomes. However, if they refuse to do the tasks, or when they eventually fail at one, he will be angry with them, and attack them. Being an old man, he wouldn't exactly be dangerous, but provide for some comical head-bashing with his walking stick, and make the players choose: Should they fight him, or try some means of persuasion to calm him down, or perhaps something else? The Puzzle Cube: Whilst traversing the roads, players might notice a small cube sitting on the ground. Covered in intricate and unknown scripture, the players would have to figure out what it says, given various hints and clues to help them along. Afterwards, the cube's writing would be read as riddles that have number answers 1 through 6, each side having a button to be pushed in a particular order. When successfully opened, the cube would contain a key and a note with instructions. Players could then take the key and follow the instructions on the note to a clearing in a forest, where they could dig up some interesting items (yey for riddle-treasure :3). Tell me a joke: Three drunk guys hailed a taxi and hopped in. The driver, seeing they were drunk, started the engine, let it run for a moment, and turned it off again. "We have reached your destination.", he said. The first guy gave him the money, and the second said "Thank you." The third guy slapped the driver. The driver was shocked, believing the third guy to have known what he did, but he asked, "What was that for?" The third guy then responded, "Control your speed next time, you almost killed us!"

    [Accepted]Emberhard's Gm App

By filling out this application I fully understand that it is an application for the purpose of applying for the role of Game Master and nothing else. I understand that this application does not and will not count as a Forum Moderator Application or a Whitelisting Application of any sort for the Lord of the Craft server. You also understand that you must resign from any 'high-ranking' in-game leadership positions e.g. Kingship, Military Commanders upon acceptance.

Do you assume any leadership roles in game?

I was a mayor twice, military commander, prince of Malinor, and captain of a ship. All roles of which save for being captain I no longer hold. Experience:

I have been an admin on two public servers, one of which I owned and was just a free build sort of thing, the other which was a PVP faction sort of server (both no longer existing). I will also frequently boot up my own personal server when I want to play with a few friends so I am quite experienced with buckkit plugins, commands, regions, world edit, etc. I was also dev builder for 3.0, myself being one of the primary builders for Malinor, and that along with being a prince for a very long time I had the pleasure of working very closely with a lot of server staff. Reasons to be a Game Moderator:

So, to put it simply I would like to help the server and Rpers within. Those who know me will know that I do not go out and actively strive for positions of power, yet I will gladly assume one if it is wished of me or I if see myself capable and a need to be filled. I would like to think myself as a patient person with the ability to control myself and be unbiased. A happy disposition is something I think very important among the staff and that is something I think I hold. As I said before, I see myself as capable, with the knowledge of server dynamics and the healthy distance of patient unbiased aspects a GM should hold. As a GM, what area's would you like to focus on? I personally think I would be best suited for taking care of modreqs. Specifically ones concerning server mechanics such as LWC, regioning, falsebook/craftbook, and anything else of that nature that I can offer my expertise on. Though I would be open to all the server I would like to specifically offer myself to Malinor, not to be a biased, pet GM, but since the loss of Oceas it has suffered greatly in getting small, trivial GM-y things done such as regioning homes.

Players which you conflict with:

I did once have a bit of a falling out with Decolamb and others whom no longer play, but I believe we have moved passed that and its all water under the bridge now. A sever experience I would like to say I learned a valuable lesson from. I was a dreadful newb when I first joined and I did rub some of the Dark Brotherhood the wrong way, though just as above all water under the bridge, lesson learned. Any other information you would like to share: I know you fine folk like to see something long and well thought out for applications, it shows responsibility, dedication, professionalism, but I am not a man of many words. Though with that I can assure you that I take care with the thoughts I do bother to publish and that a finite sentence holds just as much meaning as a big fluffy paragraph would. I’m also fairly handsome. (I was told that all apps were denied to clean out this forum. So I just copy-pastad this since seemingly no real verdict was given. If it is otherwise PM me and I will handle it accordingly)
