    [BLIGHT HEALING][SA] LadyAmayo

MC Name: LadyAmayo Character's Name: Ariadni Lanyathir Character's Age: 192 Character's Race: Mali'Aheral (High Elf) What magic(s) will you be learning?: Blight Healing - Druidism Teacher's MC Name: The_Shrouded_One Teacher's RP Name: Za'Kabar Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If so, link it: Nope Do you agree to keep the MT updated on the status of your magic app by using the Magic List Errors topic?: Yes Indeed-y Have you applied for this magic on this character before, and had it denied? If so, link the app: Not denied.
  2. Minecraft Name: Bokermon, TheMagicPlugin as well if permitted. Skype ID: fitermon1998 Time-zone: -5 EST Do you, or have you held, any other staff positions: MT member, WT former member, former staff on a friend’s server a while back. Where do you grab inspiration from: Dark Souls, Witcher Series (Games & Books), Lord of the Rings series, Kingkiller Chronicles Series, Elder Scrolls Series, Dishonored Series, Total War Series, general fantasy settings, Mount & Blade series, Game of Thrones series, Telltale Games series, and my idol, KBR The God. What are your current list of characters, and are you willing to sacrifice any: Glacio, Burgur, Alicia, Rupert, and Kuhr. Glacio, probably not, Rupert, if Cablam was fine with it, Burgur, right now, probably, Alicia, sure, Kuhr, only if Elad is okay with it given his /very/ close relation to Elad’s character, Bro. What race, or group, do your events best cater to: I’d probably best cater to humans and elves honestly, with orcs and dwarves coming in second. Despite this, I’d try to make events that don’t need a certain type of character or race to participate in, rather having different outcomes depending on the how the event is handled by the players. Akin to how Rockstar’s Kal’Varak eventline, or BathRugMan’s fire spirit eventline is non-excludable, I’d try to make events like that, although some definitely with a focused group in mind if it makes sense. What do you believe are they key factors for a successful event: I believe the key factors of an event are making it memorable, fun, and rewarding. The best events are where the people involved talk about it weeks later, have fond memories of RPing together, and don’t leave the event regretting having done it. It’s also important that events aren’t just a complete waste of time, and can easily be replaced with other roleplay as opposed to the event, or there’s no real reason to have an event, be it minor such as hunting a white stag, or major, such as a few brave folk venturing forth towards some unknown horror. What strengths would you bring to the team: I’m fairly knowledgeable in magic lore due to being on the MT, can organize complex roleplay, or make even simple roleplay more fun and interesting, and have a fair bit of free time due to my schedule. That, and I make a damn good team with most of the ET, such as Cablam, TehLulu, Sky, Eternal, and others. Why do you want to be part of the team: A large part of it is so I can do more for players that have nothing to do, knowing that I often log on, run around in a circle for ten minutes, then log off due to having nothing to do on the server, or to add something interesting into somebody’s day that they may not have been expecting. That, and I’d like to be able to do more for the players and the server roleplay wise aside from just answering magic questions and stamping “Accepted” onto apps every so oft. Create three distinct event scenarios based on the servers lore that you would organize: 1-3 Players: A wandering alchemist would gather a single or a small group of people, needing help in collecting ingredients for a new potion he theorizes, but hasn’t made experimentally yet. He’d bring the participants to the three or four various areas to gather the ingredients, with possible interactions being other players along the roads, or creatures known to inhabit the same areas the ingredients are in. After successfully collecting the ingredients, the alchemist would produce his potion, and offer a taste to each participant that helped him, along with a small dosage for later use! The effects of the potion could be either an anticlimactic finish with the potion merely causing stomach pain, or something more extravagant such as a feeling of weightlessness for a few minutes, depending on the materials in the event gathered. 5-10 Players: The group would one way or another, be taken to a strange room, rather well lit, despite the black, ebon sky above. Within the room lay a table, and atop the wooden table, a steel box, completely enclosed on all faces save for the top, which is open and exposed. Upon closer inspection, the group would notice something strange on the top of the box, almost akin to a bubble’s appearance and texture forming a thin layer across the top. If they were to reach a finger in, for instance, from the pitch black sky a large, gigantic finger would emerge, rather identical, yet an enlarged version, of whoever stuck their finger in. Given any discovery the group makes, the nature of the box appears to be a reflection of a miniaturized version of their own room they are in, where anything done in the box reflects in the room, and to the box reflects the room itself. As a rather indirect solution to escaping this puzzle, they’d need to exit through the pitch black roof. For the sake of time, this can be done when they realize that if they were to turn the box sideways, gravity accordingly changes as well. The solution is to flip the box, causing the group to “fall” towards the sky, sending them back to the lands they were once at. Given the complexity of replicating such in Minecraft, it would honestly require either pre-made builds of things such as fingers, and various objects that can be stuck in, or just really well done emotes. 11+ Players: Although not a hard number, it’d probably be best if done with such a number for this event. The group would have first been spurred by the tales of a traveller, describing what he rather un poetically called “Dragonchicken.” This small tale, however, would grow more real and threatening as people along the roads went missing, scattered remnants of convoys limping weakly back towards the towns and cities, bearing cold, gray reminders where there flesh once was of the beast’s capabilities. With ample direction as to where, and a fair bit of warning of what it is capable of, a group of players would set forth in hunt of the cockatrice, or “Dragonchicken,” as the first traveller so aptly described it. Due to the power and danger a cockatrice provides, this event would require players to work together, put high stakes on the line, and risk the effects of the beast’s breath taking its stone grip upon their flesh if not dealt with caution in this event. Furthermore, upon slaying the beast, the players would be able to take the trophy of the beast’s head, or various other body parts, and the event can either end there, or tie into a longer-running eventline in which the risk of the beast’s eggs hatching and its kin maturing can pose. How long do you plan to be able to work on the team: As long as I’m on the server. Tell me a joke: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/153385-matt-da-er-cablams-trial-app/ That, and Ski after Trump won.
  3. MC name: Fitermon Character's name and age: Glacio, 167 Character’s Race: Elf Link to your accepted magic application: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/144782-arcane-sa-glacios-arcanism-voidal-shifting-app/#comment-1361788 What magic(s) do you desire to teach?: Voidal Shifting & Arcanism Summarize the Lore of this Magic: Voidal Shifting Voidal shifting is the art of instantaneously transporting oneself from one location to another, through the use of mana and anchors to go through the void. The caster enters the void, then reforms at the location of the anchor, a small, black dot. To do this, the caster first forms the anchor where they wish to shift to, then they fill themselves with mana, matching the amount within their own person and the items on them as well. They’d then enter the void, the anchor guiding them through it as they’d instantaneously be brought to their anchor’s location, leaving a cloud of aura-colored smoke behind in their wake. At first, the mage could be able to make anchors, and shift only a few meters, but with practice, they can shift multiple times in a row, multiple meters each time. However, they can not shift too many times without exhausting their mana supply, and they also can not shift to where they can not easily reach. Arcanism Arcanism is the art of evoking raw arcane energy, as one may evoke the raw elements of fire, water, earth, air, or electricity. However, due to being raw arcane energy, it is significantly harder to study and learn to evoke. When evoked, the arcane wisps will take on the color of the caster’s aura, so the color varies on the mage. The evoked wisps when gathered look almost like glass, being transparent in appearance. When being manipulated, the caster can do a variety of things, such as make walls, shields, orbs, or beams of raw energy, which can be used for defence, offence, or more. An arcane shield, however, is not indestructible, and it can be broken. Similarly, one cannot make complex shapes with the art, such as swords and tower shields, but simple shapes suffice, such as spheres, beams, disks, circles, and hollow bubbles. The strength of attacks vary with arcanism. For instance, one beam may send somebody flying back, while a similarly sized beam, but with less energy, may only stun a foe momentarily. Arcanism is also unique in the many versatile ways one can attack, such as sending a flurry of small orbs towards a foe, a large beam, an arching beam to curve around obstacles, or even encasing them within a bubble shield. However, the caster must keep sight of his evoked wisps in order to keep casting. Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student. (Do note, we will be contacting aspiring teachers for a quick interview, to try to better gauge your knowledge and understanding): Voidal Shifting Glacio stood at the young man’s side, nodding once. The pupil’s form shuddered, his gaze dead set upon a small black dot just a few meters in front of him. The pupil’s right hand flexes open, followed shortly by a scream of mild agony from the pupil’s lips. He’d slump over, sweat running down his brow as he’d pant, looking as the mana anchor dissipates back into nothingness. “You need to match your mana with the amount of mana in you /and/ your possessions, you can’t rip yourself over there naked, you know.” “I… How do you know I didn’t remember to match that, too?” he’d ask, his voice twinged. “Because, I once made the same mistake once too. I’d blame Irhamir, but to be fair, I mostly ignored him during his lessons, especially if there were others present. Now then, I want you to try again. Remember the process: Anchor, match mana, poof.” The pupil nods once more, standing and focusing, his right hand twitching. He’d form the anchor as instructed, sweat dripping down his brow. He’d begin to shake once more, instantaneously being replaced by a light green, misty cloud of aura. Glacio smiles, watching as he’d within the same instant reform at the anchor’s location, collapsing in exhaustion. He’d uncross his arms, pacing over with a grin as he’d watch the student pass out. “Eh, definitely better than your peer…” Arcanism Glacio stood between the two, glancing to his left. He’d nod, and he’d nod back, a dense conglomeration of an electric blue ball hovering in front of the girl. He’d then turn to the right, nodding to the boy, who’d nod back, a dense, purple ball infront of him. He’d step back ten paces, facing the area between the two. “Three, two, one, go!” he’d exclaim, followed by both student’s brows furrowing up in determination, two arcane beams blasting toward one another. They’d meet in a brilliant display of color, Glacio squinting as he watches the two beams struggling against one another. “Come on, Ninjin, put some more effort into it! Pick it up, Verdura, you’re going to lose if you don’t try harder!” The two pupils would look more determined, sweat pouring down one’s brow and the other shaking, the beams eventually blasting toward Verdura, colliding with him and sending him flying back to the wall. Glacio grins, sighing happily. “That was awesome… Alright, now that you have practiced attacking, next is defending yourself! Verdu, shield, go,” he’d order, going to check on the young Elf… Do you have a Teacher App you are dropping due to this app? The Raguk Clan

The Raguk Clan The grinding, searing cogs of Uruk Warfare do not run on sheer bloodlust alone. No, beneath the sweltering expanse of the Desert exists an ashen and humid plane of grueling labour and raging furnaces. Where light finds little strength and bones break against stone, the Unbroken Orcs, red as the blood that smears their hands, work tirelessly for the progression of the Iron Uzg. A stalwart and powerful people, the Redskin Orcs offer little less than supreme productivity. There is nothing so important as the betterment of the Iron Uzg, and no clan personifies this statement as much as the Raguk. Your personal beliefs are inconsequential; so long as they are not frowned upon by the Uzg. Your value in the clan stems from one thing: Your contribution. The Raguk consist of proud Smiths and powerful Miners. There is no other option, save for the sparse Leather workers and Stonemasons that find their place within the clan. For those that are not born into the clan, a perilous trial awaits. It is a journey of great tribulation, in which an Uruk is tested for his intelligence, strength and most importantly perseverance. All three traits are necessary to be a successful Raguk, as they are more than mere workers. As laborious as the Raguk are, they are not aversed to combat. With their skin and bones hardened from life in the mines, and coupled with their natural strength, they are as built for warfare as the weapons they forge. Capable of utilising immense strength, these Uruk are not to be confused with simple peons; lest you wish to suffer an ill fate. Companion: But what is an Uruk without a mount? Nothing short of incomplete. As steeds from fierce Wolves to hulking Rhinos lay claimed by neighbouring clans, what would be left for the Raguk? The Myrzym, -said to be gifted to the Raguk by the spirits themselves- are massive, tusked beasts that greatly resemble Elephants. These hulking and slow monstrosities leave a path of destruction in their wake as they act as towering, immovable forces. Often armoured with the greatest of Raguk craftsmanship, these mounts are essential in times of war. They represent the great strength of the Raguk, and the unstoppable progression of the clan. Every Raguk is given a Myrzym cub to raise from an early age, as strong relationships are key in times of warfare. It is said that a Raguk will risk his life to save that of his companion, and the same can be said in reverse. Marking the Flesh: As the weapons we forge sear flesh, so too will we etch the symbolism of our nature into our very skin. Upon reaching the age of eight, or after being initiated into the clan, a Raguk is brandished or tattooed with a personal representation of their life path, and are to offer up the sacrifice of an animal they have hunted alone. Enslavement (Znagah Huntin'): As cruel as the abyssal fathoms of the Raguk cave system can be, it is well within each Unbroken to house a sinister disposition, of which no boundaries are set outside of the realm of his kin. It is for this reason that enslavement is a common thing among the Raguk, and slaves (Znagah) are frequently used to aid in the endless mining that takes place below the sands. Often times, when a Znagah is no longer useful, he or she is subject to weapon testing, and will suffer unimaginable pain before the end of his or her pitiful existance. Regular outings are held within the clan, in which many Raguk will band together and hunt for Znagah to be put to work in the mines, or merely for the purpose of entertainment. Raiding: As important as labour is for the Iron Uzg, the Raguk are fond of testing their brute strength in other ways. Frequently, raiding parties are sent out to spread woe and misery to those unfortunate enough to find themselves anywhere near an Unbroken Orc. Raiding parties are often coupled with Znagah Huntin' in order to ensure efficient use of time out of labouring. Generally, the Raguk hunt for minerals and weaponry to devoid their enemies of supplies, and to better their own cause. Application: Note: All Applicants will have to undergo trial RP before they can be fully implemented. 5. I had the thought of explaining this break on warclaims in the server by having the 2 weeks be some form of holy time for the people of server. Maybe to honor certain gods or historical figures. Something which no nation would dare to violate. While it would be difficult to implement since the Church of the Canon somewhat disregards the original LoTC ideas of creation, I think there can be a solution found that both provides easy explanation in RP, and perhaps provides a good bit of roleplaying. Any thoughts? I don't really have any holiday proposals as religions on the server are not my forte. Perhaps it does not need to be religious? Perhaps a time of harvest?
  6. Minecraft name/s: Narthok Age: 18 Time zone and availability: Est, way too much time on my hands with school/ work done Skype: Narthok What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?: The only reason I'm applying for GM is because waiting 1 or 2 hours for a simple modreq to be completed or several days/ weeks for appeals and bans to be dealt with is seriously unacceptable. I would like to rectify this issue by putting my frankly ridiculous levels of activity on lotc to use helping players with their modreqs / ban reports and ban appeals IN A TIMELY FASHION. What are your finest qualities?: Work ethic I get addicted to completing projects/ goals/ tasks etc. I was the PM of my Highschool's student council and I worked with mentally disabled children (as an assistant) to teach them social and reading skills, this taught me how to resolve conflicts and to mediate effectively between two parties (seriously the fights over who got to read when you give a mouse a cookie..). I thought I could use the experiences gained from these events to resolve conflicts and coordinate resolutions between players. I'm fairly affable and a good listener with an in all honesty overdeveloped sense of justice. What are your worst qualities, and how could you improve these aspects?: I get irritated when I believe an injustice has been committed and left unpunished. I won't lie I can probably be seen as fairly arrogant as well. However the recent personal experiences of my life have matured me as situations that would have made me incredibly salty in the past don't really bother me anymore and I have managed to resolve various hostile relationships that I have been engaged in. What members of the Staff could you look to for guidance?: probably SupremacyOps / FiatLux or Pandann as both have been pretty chill and very helpful whenever they answer modreqs or are asked for help/ information. Who do you not get along with on the current team?: I don't really interact or know many staff members on a personal basis so I can't really say that I have any issues with any of them tbh. How much free time do you have? Will this change in the foreseeable future?: Way to much free time might decrease a bit for a month when I start Uni but I'm doing poli sci / law so I don't think it will be too strenuous in terms of time required to study.
  7. Ban Report/Banning GM (if applicable, please provide a link): Kalamoot Minecraft Name(s) (at the time of your ban): priceflash/Horen Rule Broken/Disputed (multikilling, Griefing, Xray, ect. Be specific): Calling Kalamoot a retard Character Witnesses (Name(s)): Kalamoot, Meguzara, 2 high elves Event Details (reason for actions, apology, ect): I was having an argument with Meguzara and this high elf after I tried to engage in PvP properly. Kalamoot popped in later and gave his opinion. I slipped up a bit and called him a retard but immediately apologized. I do have a bit of a temper but as I said, I realized my mistake and immediately apologized. In the past 3 months before my ban I was doing much better than before (unless the staff are counting my VA protest an offense). I later attempted to contact Kalamoot about my ban and appeal it, but after nearly 2 month of him forgetting or not responding he denied it because apparently at some point I called Ricky the N-word. If I did I most likely apologized, I don't even recall saying that to him and I rather would've been punished then than it be held against me later. I apologize to Kalamoot for being rude in this instance. It also was apparently originally a month, but it got extended because apparently my "recent behavior" has been poor (not even entirely sure if that was the reason at this point), although I believe this is out of context and false as I was doing rather alright in the months directly prior. In fact, it was my second or third time logging into the map when this event occurred, and I barely had logged onto the map before that. My most recent forum post was complaining about VA's on the VA thread/complaining about MA's. I am not sure where the recent behavior part is coming from and whenever I previously asked the people handling my appeal they didn't even know themselves. I am asking for a pardon and believe if I am allowed reentry my behavior will be improved towards staff and players. Screenshots/Vids (Link):N/A mY PEOPLE NEED ME!!111111
  8. AGiantPie

    AGiantPie's AT Application

MCName: AGiantPie Forum Name: AGiantPie Skype Name: AGiantPie Timezone: EST Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Yes. Why do you want to be an AT member and do you have the ability to work with others? I want to be on the AT for two main reasons. 1. I'm kind of bored and don't have much to do, and being on the AT will give me something to do for a few hours every day while I listen to soothing music. 2. I've been helping a few new players recently and feel like I could do that easier if I didn't have to end up directing them to an AT when their needs fall outside my abilities as a rando player. I also want to help update sections of the wiki but that's not an AT exclusive job. As for working well with others, I think I do a decent job. My main drawback (though it can be seen as a positive thing), is that I am very vocal when it comes to criticizing suggestions brought forth by the group. Indeed, I often play devil's advocate and try to poke holes in potential ideas so that said ideas can be improved as much as possible. This can annoy people though, especially if it's unsolicited. Do you recognize that you will be given extra responsibilities such as working on the LoTC wiki, assisting the AT in creating guides and helping new players with their questions upon logging into LoTC? Indeed. Two of these three things I already mentioned above. Is there anything else you would like to add? Mitto is a good man.
  9. MC name: Sandk1ng Character's name and age: Eath'lur, 301 Character’s Race: Orc What magic/s did you learn?: Shamanism, Elementalism. Who/how did you learn magic/s?: I learnt through kizumachan some time after the MAT was gone. I was teached how to reach the elemental plane and to form a bound with a spirit, so I did what she requested, until later on, just when I had finished said phase, kizumachan had gone innactive. By talking with said spirit multiple times, over and over, with bits and slices from his fellow shamans, Eath learnt to minusclely and progressively call for a spirit aid to assist him in combat. Offer an explanation of said magic/s you learned: Elementalism is calling upon a elemental spirit for it's aid. After forming a bound, in order to cast the magic, the shaman must chant in the dark speech (Or Orcish Old Blah) in order to summon said spirit by controlling nature elements. There are six types of spirits: water, earth, fire, air, metal and lightning. The shaman will not physically summon the spirit, instead, he will manipulate the present elements on his surroundings accordingly to the spirit's element. For instance, lets say that I have a fire spirit turnt on, so I can't mess with the water and vice-versa. The elementalist shaman favourite spirit deppends on his personality (But this doesn't means that said spirit is the stronger he has dominance, just his favourite one.) A experienced enough elementalist can shape the elements into other states, and even shape it, for instance: Ice to water, water to vapour, earth to magma (Not sure about this one), a boulder to pebbles.
  10. DrakeHaze.

Minecraft username: DrakeHaze Age: 19 Time zone: EST What is a GM’s role in the community, and how would you see yourself fitting in it as a GM?: To enforce server rules Why are you applying to be a GM?: EDIT: To fulfill the volunteering job. The most impactful GM’s the server has had have always done more than the basic duties of a Global Moderator. What aspects of LotC aside from universal GM duties would you be willing to delve into?: None, law enforcement > fantasy events or furries. I have no reason to be the next Lord of the Craft or win LoTC's popularity contest. What members of the staff and/or community could you look to for guidance of these additional responsibilities?: Zarsies, Ever. What faults do you believe other members of the community see in you, and how do you intend to improve on these perceived faults, if necessary?: I'm more blunt then past staff members with unfortunate infamy, I do not intend to change myself so that I look like a pretty piece of goodness to staff or community, I believe getting the job done is > someone's personal opinion of you. The only fault I have that I'd change (not to be confused with 'this is my only fault) is my trolly behaviour and forum banter. How much free time do you have? Will this change in the foreseeable future?: 8am - 12am all week, though toss in 2 hours of gym a day or so and the off days when I like to sleep in. I cannot see the future, even more so I cannot see my own, so no.
