  1. ~A Hunter’s Life~ We who inhabit this world have done plenty of horrifying things. Things that have been eternally engraved in the scrolls and books which hold our long and unforgotten history. However, it seems that even though we wage large wars against our own kind and have caused many crises which have led to our demise, that our accumulation of races continues along with no fear of what has happened in the past - as they had no other choice but to. Instead of wallowing around and trapping ourselves in the worst of pasts, our kind moves forward and learns from the mistakes we make. We make sure never make them again, les we wish for our heads to part from our bodies. Though some things in this world us inhabitants simply cannot push through. . . or exterminate entirely in the end. Though we descendants do our best to get past these small obstacles the world we live in has. But the lingering beasts and creatures who terrorize and threaten the very existence of many kinds must be dealt with. Hell, even though they are plentiful in number, and never able to be fully extinguished from existence, it is our job as those who’ve chosen a Hunter’s life to rid as many of these dark beings and monstrous creatures who walk our lands - all so that people stop cowering behind their gates and walls whilst their lives unravel quickly before them. Signed- Yvo Mondblume “It’s a Hunter’s Life for me!” ~A Hunter’s Code~ Members must abide by this code in order to keep their spot in the guild. Taking a contract or job up means seeing it through No matter the cost. We don’t hunt our own kind, and, under absolutely 0 circumstances, will not ever take jobs to harm other descendants. Monster hunters don’t ask many questions when under contract. See out the job unless it is questionable to your morals, and remember that there are many ways of completing a hunt. In fighting with guildmates is restricted. Help others instead of harming them. :OOC Guild post area: The Haense Monster Hunting guild is a place for those yearning to take on mighty beasts and become reputable to other nations shall thrive! We are a guild that offers out player-run events from those wishing to test the waters in event running, as well as some ST events. Not only will we be doing monster hunts in Haense, and with our own event runners, but we also will be branching out into other nations, looking for work so that we can gather fellow guildmates and attend a larger array of hunts. ~Location of Guildhall~ Haense/Karosgrad The Hunter’s Inn ~Application~ Full name: Ign: Reasons for joining: Experience: Discord:
  2. ♫ The purpose of the Marked Men is to provide event driven roleplay revolving around monster hunting - the eradication thereof and the study of all things which are considered eldritch, strange or abominable in their being and origins. This, alongside a focus on in-character folklore and strong character development establish the Marked as a unique entity. Forewarning The School of the Fox maintains a very consequential stance on roleplay and character development. Upon entry into the guild, players may spend an upwards of a month undergoing training as initiates. Through this, we offer joining members a taste into our style of roleplay as to better portray what we stand for. To maintain a standard of quality, all players who join the Marked are required to take on a permakill clause, and it should be known that existing members will permakill their characters during events or through the means of a legitimate death in roleplay at the hands of a fellow Marked. In joining, we expect you to uphold this standard and through filling out our application, you are in turn agreeing to our principle of roleplay. ____________________________________ Brief Summary The School of the Fox is the most recent rendition of the Marked Men. Formed through the collaboration of the elder members of the preceding Schools of the Stag and Ouroboros, it carries on the centuries-old tradition of the Marked Men and their pursuit of fortune through the profession of monster slaying. Upon their shoulder is the legacy of two schools, the former of which and the more distinguished of the two being the Stag, which was founded by Coren Isil - a renowned bounty hunter who was known for his pursuit of contracts placed upon the heads of magi. Recent reformations were spurred on by the disappearance of the aforementioned, and the resulting deaths of several prominent Marked Men. A call to merge was deemed the most beneficial recourse and thus was the School of the Fox formed. ____________________________________ The Code Steel for men, Aurum for monsters. Never to marry. Never to produce offspring. Never to ascend beyond the status of a commoner. To remain neutral when possible. To not fight in mundane wars less provoked. To not solve with swords what can be solved with words. To protect the mundane and innocent. To persevere to the end in any hunt begun. To slay those who refuse to pay for your service. To defend your life when it is threatened. To take responsibility for your actions. To lay down your life for your brothers. To not choose between a lesser or greater evil. To remain loyal to the code. ____________________________________ Hierarchy of the School “While our school has no true hierarchy, each man here has earned his place and you are expected to show respect to your brothers.” - Coren Isil, to initiates Maelgwn aep Gwennlech and Glaeddwen aep Invaerne Master Incumbent: Maelgwn of Cintran Maelgwn of Cintran was one of the key founders of the Marked School of the Fox and their resurgence into the modern era. While not garnering the same renown as his predecessors, he is an efficient monster hunter and worthy of his name and trade. Highly adept in marksmanship and tracking, he is one of the two Aeldinic elves within the school and possesses know-how on guerrilla tactics. He has recently taken up the mantle of Master of the School of the Fox, and continues to guide his fellow monster hunters to the best of his capabilities. Marked Man Tried and true, once an initiate is lucky enough to make it through his trials, he is inducted into the School and receives his mark. Making up the bulk of a school, the Marked Men are the best of the best in their trade, and carry out hunts with the utmost expertise. Initiate Each man who is brought under the wing of a school are dubbed initiates, and subjected to grueling training and perilous trials which test their skills, physically and mentally. Many do not survive this process, though those who do go on to become Marked. ____________________________________ Honorary Titles These titles command a certain amount of respect, and those who carry them are entrusted with unique responsibilities regarding the maintenance of the School. Master of Arms Incumbent: Rheinallt aep Gwynon The Master of Arms is typically the most skilled Marked in the ways of weaponsmithing or armorsmithing, and are responsible for keeping the armories stocked and the men equipped with top-of-the-line gear. Master Arcanist The Master Arcanist is versed in magic, and serves the Marked Men as a liaison and font of knowledge on matters pertaining to wizardry. The Master Arcanist, duly, is expected to be a skilled practitioner of the Arcane. Lorekeeper The Lorekeeper oversees all matters of study and research, alongside the upkeep of the Marked Archives. He is responsible for undergoing extensive research on unknown creatures, plants and etcetera. He is also expected to be extremely knowledge on all aforementioned subjects, and assist his fellow Marked when they require information. ____________________________________ Looking into the guild known as the Marked Men, a common location is carried upon whispers throughout the realms - a forlorn and dilapidated keep in the far north of Oren known as Aardwen. Upon reaching the outskirts of this site, should a man be so inclined, you would spot the head of a fox carved into the trunk of a towering evergreen. Drawing ever nearer to the keep, the clamor of men and their day-to-day business would grow louder. Hailing the gates, you would be addressed from atop the ramparts by a duo of men cladden in thick furs and boiled leathers.
