  1. Lego's Application Team (Rejoining)

MCname: legocrazy7 Forum Name: The Squirrel Druid Skype Name: legocrazy7_veren Timezone: UTC -5 Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Mhm! After roughly about a year and a half of playing on the server, I feel I have a solid grasp on our lore and have had connections to those who work on lore. I've had a lot of experience with many lores and I feel quite confident in my understanding. Of course, I'm open to reading new lores as I enjoy reading quite a bit. Why do you want to be an AT member and do you have the ability to work with others? I feel I wish to be an AT because of my sudden realization of how little I do for this server. I mean, I've been one of the people who can sit around and complain about current problems on the server, and yet do nothing to help with it. I've found myself complaining several times about the AT over things that I have no proof of and felt ashamed. I'd like to pick back up this responsibility so I can do my part for this server. And yes, I feel I can work well with others. Do you recognize that you will be given extra responsibilities such as working on the LoTC wiki, assisting the AT in creating guides and helping new players with their questions upon logging into LoTC? Mhm. I've held this responsibility before and I believe I can easily pick it back up. Also seeing as I've helped with many of the current standing documents on AT, I believe I could easily assist in the writing of new ones. Is there anything else you would like to add? Just a small warning, I will be gone this Sunday through Friday so I will not be checking the forums. If you need to contact me please do so via Skype, as I will check it as much as I can.
  2. The Squirrel Druid's Mat

What is your Minecraft Account Name?: legocrazy7 How long have you played on LotC?: Since December of last year. (2013) How many hours per day/week are you available?: I'm available for at least two hours after school daily, sometimes more or less depending on my wacky schedule. (About 4-6 PM EST) Have you read and do you thoroughly understand Magic Lore?: Mhm. I believe I have a good understanding of it. What Magic Lore do you hold the most experience with?: Druidism, Soul Puppetry, and Evocation. I've been reading through other magics trying to get at least a minor grasp of them as well. Give a Summary of any Staff/Lead positions you’ve held on any Minecraft Server in the past: Well.. I held a few admin/mod positions on a few old servers. Can't exactly remember the names but they were faction servers. I've also held a position in the Application Team and am currently an Archdruid in the Druidic Order if that counts for anything. Do you have a Skype account? You may post it here, or choose to keep it private until you are asked for it. Note; Skype is required to communicate with the team and unless you have an account and the program it you will be incapable of joining the team: To be given through PMs. Have you ever receive a Magical Blacklist, if so, please link it: None here!
  3. Minecraft name(s): legocrazy7 Skype ID: legocrazy7_veren Time zone: EST Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: No reports were made, but here is the link https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/111128-legos-2nd-ban-appeal-for-i-dont-know-what/ There was a first one, but I don’t seem to be able to find it. Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? Not at the moment, but I was an AT member. What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present) Minecraft, SimCity, FNAF, and I’ve kind of glanced at a few MMO’s. Not a huge fan of them though. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? Veren Ibar’ker and Xeran. I’d prefer to keep both as I've played them for a while now and have grown attached. What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain. My events would cater more to more peaceful groups; Druids, Clerics, ect. I’d be willing to do some to entertain some others though. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? I believe that events rely on order. Things need to be well plotted out so that the event isn’t confusing to the player. If things are confusing to the player, then it ruins the fun of it all. Events also rely on the creativity of the team member and player. If we lacked this, all events would be the same and monotonous. The player and team member's creativity makes sure both sides have fun. Respect is also a important part of the event. The event must be fair to the player, and the player needs to be fair to the one hosting it. Things like that tend to lead to an OOC mess that just leaves both sides with hurt feelings. When was the last time you saw a event? Hm.. the most vivid I remember are the sprite events.. there was a player run event with the Druids in Embermoore not long ago, though. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? I’m quite a good organizer when I put my mind to it. I would also consider that my strength. Why do you want to be part of the ET? Perhaps I’m not in the right places at the right times, but I’ve kind of seen a lack of random events for road travelers or tavern goers. It seems to me the only time you can get in an event is if you have talked with the ET in question before hand to show up there. I’d like to be a more casual event team member, as in I’d try to provide more random events for the traveler. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon. 1) For 1-3 person On a sunny day of swimming, a small underwater cave would beckon you forward. As you swim down and into the tunnel, you would realize that it opens up into a large cave. A small, wiry old hermit would approach you, yelling about intruders and shrooms. Then, he just begins to yell in nonsense languages, running around you in a circle. Attacking the man would wield you nothing but a dead body. But, if you would continue to talk to him he would just go sit in a corner, and rot away at a surprising rate till he is just a pile of bones. 2) For a group of 5-10 A soft breeze would blow through the trees, startling a group of people on the road. Out of no where, it would begin to rain, thunder rumbling. In a sudden flash of lightning, a cloaked figure would appear in front of the group. In a whispery tone, the seemingly woman figure tells them of a lost village, one succombed to unknown reasons. But, underneath the village, is a supposed treasure. Should the players accept the woman’s challenge, they would be lead to a ruinous village. As they enter the village, there is soft rumble in the ground, a large worm rising from the center of the village. The monstrous creature would roar, going to attack them. Should they kill it, the body would rot away at an unnatural pace, soon nothing left but slime. The hole it rose out of welcomes them to below the city and the treasure that awaits. A bit of iron and a set of armor will be given as reward. Should the player attempt to kill the woman, she will simply turn and vanish in another flash of lightning. 3) For a group of 20+ In a crowded tavern, a lone howl would be heard, several more following. Disturbed by the noise, a large group would leave the tavern. Outside, they would find a large paw print leading out into the forest. Following the path, they would eventually come to a den, in which they would find a pack of huge wolves. The obvious leader rises to meet them, looking down with a neutral gaze. In a rumbling voice that seems to come from everywhere, he would speak. To each player, he would ask questions about honor and courage and bravery. To those he feels their answers were inadequate, he would simply nod his large head, the other wolves quickly falling upon them to feast. With one player left, he would turn, walking farther into the den. After a small amount of time, he would return, a large hide in his mouth. He drops the enchanted fabric at the player’s feet, bidding them farewell. How long do you plan to stay in the ET? At least through the summer. Hopefully my schedule will hold up so I can keep going during school. Tell me a joke Hrm.. I'm a terrible joker.. uh.. uh.. your mom? Squirrels? Deez nuts?
  4. MC name: legocrazy7 Character's name and age: Veren Ibar'ker; around 70 Character’s Race: Wood Elf Link to your accepted magic application: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/125403-the-squirrel-druids-magic-application/ What magics do you desire to teach?: Druid's Communion and Control Summarize the Lore of this Magic: Druidism is a deity magic where the powers, or "Gifts" originate from the Aspects. These gifts allow the Druid to speak with the flora and fauna of the realm, and make requests of it. Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student. (Do note, we will be contacting aspiring teachers for a quick interview, to try to better gauge your knowledge and understanding): Veren smiles a bit, guiding the Druid over to the flat area "Right. You wanted a lesson in Communion?" He nods, "Mhm." Veren sits down, motioning the Druid to do the same. He softly begins to speak "Focus on the melodies. Slowly, begin to narrow down your concentration. Instead of listening to everything at once, try to keep your focus on the grass around us. Hear its voice." The Druid nods once again, eyes closing in concentration. His focus narrows down. a single bead of sweat rolling down his face. "Get comfortable with that for a moment, then, begin to narrow down your focus even more. Focus on one voice, one out of the orchestra of nature. Try your best to hear what it says." Veren lifts his hand, motioning a flower "Try it on that orchid." The Druid gives one small nod, brow furrowing. His concentration narrows farther, mind focused on the singular voice of nature. "Good! You can release your concentration now. If you practice meditation and listening to the voices, it will become easier. When you become proficient with that, try to speak to a small animal. Understand?" The Druid's eyes open. He wipes his brow, nodding "I got it."
