  1. Zindran

    [Pending]Zindran's LT Application

Minecraft Account Name(s): Zindran Skype: zindrann How long have you played on LotC?: roughly 2 years now, though I've gone on hiatus twice. Once in Mid-Athera and once at the beginning of Axios. Time zone and availability: PST(3 hours behind EST), and during this summer pretty much all day unless I have stuff IRL. Such as being that I will not be able to be contacted in the last week of July and the first week of August due to me leaving to go camping for 2 weeks. What lore are you versed in most?: Mostly Druidism, but on the other hand I would say Alchemy. I know a good bit of Ascended lore as well (and a good bit of kharajyr lore). If needed I can read more lore of multiple different things. Give a summary of any staff positions you have held on LoTC: I currently hold a staff position of ET builder, which I have held for a few months. Other than that I currently have a FM app and now this LT app. The Event Team is fun, though if you stop working then you could quickly get burnt out and eventually resign, though what I like most about it is the free-range of creativity that can be had in the builds and the events themselves if the person tries hard enough. Have you ever written lore for LoTC? (this will not augment your chances at obtaining the position of LM.): I've written lore for a potion (Cold Resistance, has not been approved or denied on the Potion Index) and lore for an herb named Nightglow of which the wiki link to it can be found here. I also made lore for another herb named Phoenix' Teardrop, the wiki link to its lore is right here. Have you ever received a blacklist or ban?: I have not, no. Who do you not get along with on the Lore Team?: I don't believe I am on bad terms with any LT member, though I have heard of some people being genuinely annoyed at some. Otherwise the answer to this question would be nobody.
  2. Taylor

    SpiffyTaylor's LT Application

Minecraft Account Name(s): NailmasterSpiffy Skype: You have it. How long have you played on LotC?: 4-5 years. Time zone and availability: MST though I'm generally up until about 1-2 in the morning, sometimes 6. What lore are you versed in most?: Playable creature lore, ET creature lore, magic lore and religion/culture are where I'm most knowledgeable. Give a summary of any staff positions you have held on LoTC: I've had the positions of MAT and ET for an extended period of time. Have you ever written lore for LoTC? (this will not augment your chances at obtaining the position of LM.): Not for this server, no. Have you ever received a blacklist or ban?: I have been banned once for 2 months on the account of a certain SOMEONE. You can read all about it here if you have nothing better to do: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/121332-spiffytaylors-ban-appeal/#comment-1163995 tl;dr - some bullshit I had no part of aside from me being the protagonist of a poorly thought out prank. Who do you not get along with on the Lore Team?: I get along well with everyone on the team as far as I'm aware.
  3. CoffeeMagi

    InfamousRussian's App

MC name: InfamousRussian Forum name: CoffeeMagi Discord Name and Tag: Baron #8133 What is your timezone?: EST How do you wish to work on the wiki? (Writing, updating lore, etc): Updating lore / organizing information Have you worked on the, or any wiki before?: Wikipedia & Wikia Which lore are you most familiar with?: Human, Dwarven, Alchemy, World, Religion Please provide an example of a wiki page you are not satisfied with and list aspects that could be improved: https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Kingdom_of_Courland The Kingdom of Courland is non-existent The Kingdom of Courland's religion was not the Lotharic Communion The military section was not updated to include changes following the Kingdom's inception A list of succeeding Kings isn't present Please provide an example of a wiki page you see as a model example and list your reasoning: https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Alabaster_Leaf The information within is up to date A diagram of the leaf is accurate The note that the substance is attainable in game present and really useful accurate information regarding the usage and effects is present Please showcase your abilities: Here
  4. What is your Minecraft Account Name?: NailmasterSpiffy How long have you played on LotC?: 4-5 years now. How many hours per day/week are you available?: I'm generally available all day unless I say otherwise. Will usually responded to PMs quickly if not immediately, assuming I'm not asleep. Have you read and do you thoroughly understand Magic Lore?: No doubt. What Magic Lore do you hold the most experience with?: Voidal, Dark and creature magic. Write about a magic-related topic that you find interesting (e.g. How mental barriers work): The concept of certain magics being used in tandem with one another or affecting each other is an interesting one. It's a topic that can open up many different avenues in terms of the magical word, but also a fairly controversial one. Throughout the years the stance on this sort of thing has changed repeatedly in multiple ways, though few magics do grant definitive answers. Give a Summary of any Staff/Lead positions you’ve held on any Minecraft Server in the past: I've been on the MAT and ET, holding both positions for at least a year minus the breaks. I also held the position of ET and GM on a short lived (2 months max) server that shall not be named, so make of that what you will. You can probably guess what it was. Do you have a Skype account? (You may post it here, or choose to keep it private until you are asked for it. Note; Skype is required to communicate with the team and unless you have an account and the program it you will be incapable of joining the team): You have it. Have you ever receive a Magical Blacklist, if so, please link it: No.
  5. Minecraft Name: Dasdi Skype ID: PM me, though I think you might have it. Time-zone: Eastern Do you, or have you held, any other staff positions: I was head builder and an ET on Darais, a small RP server (Now Closed), I was a builder on the World Of Keralis Server. Sadly, I have not held any positions here on LOTC, but hopefully this application will change that! Where do you grab inspiration from: I enjoy taking inspiration from many different places, whether it be a game, TV show, or even a place I visit in real life. I don't mean to sound cliché, but I take some inspiration from Skyrim, and Game of Thrones. I also get lot of inspiration from the things other players have created, here on LOTC. The Witcher and Assassin's Creed games are another source of inspiration for me. What type of building are you best with: I am best with small builds, like homes, and other things of the sorts, but I do enjoy spending my time on bigger builds. What are some of your most treasured builds: My most treasured build is my recreation of The Cathedral of Saint Peter of Beauvais. Though sadly, it was lost when my HDD failed. Are you capable of handling all aspects of a build: Yes. Pick three building styles and show us a build of yours that corresponds to each choice: Medieval _________________________ This is a Castle that Pork and I made. http://imgur.com/a/07BbP Le Touraine's Winery. http://imgur.com/a/W1fnH A small market place, beside the ruins of a watch tower. http://imgur.com/a/iwVqG Cathedral of Amiens. http://imgur.com/a/iWop0 Honorable Mentions. http://imgur.com/a/zQxXH Terraforming and Organics (I grouped these due to the reason that the pictures represent a mixture of both categories) _________________________ The vineyards of Amiens. http://imgur.com/a/a6sbU A cute little pond type thing. http://imgur.com/a/mMPpi A simple atmospheric stream. (Props to Pork for the nice shrine thing to the left) http://imgur.com/a/WGP7B Le Touraine's Winery Garden. http://imgur.com/a/fpIMi Interiors (This was't a category, but I think its important.) _________________________ All of the interiors for the builds above. http://imgur.com/a/nneqz How long does it take for you to complete a build: All depends on size, detail, and style. Though, I usually am able to finish a build with in a few days to a few weeks at most. Terraforming, for example, can take several hours, while other things like a keep can take several days to a few weeks. Additional details: I can use Worldedit, I know the basics of Voxel (I like worldedit better tho), I'm by no means a redstone master, but Youtube is a good friend of mine. Tell me a trick about building: Custom Heads could be achieved with a few simple commands. Tell me a joke: Gigi Hadid's Runway Walk......(I love her, but that walk, hun)
  6. idk why that was so large or how to make it smaller Minecraft name/s: NotTeegah/MassEffected Age: 20 Timezone: CST Skype/Discord: justind731 (skype) RammerJammer73 (Discord) What is your availability: I am usually around most days, my work schedule fluxes between 5:30 am to 1:30 pm and 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Tell us an issue you currently experience on the server: The only real issue that I can think of currently. I'd rather not name any names in this open environment but a few members of the staff team seem somewhat entitled and think themselves above the average playerbase. The good eggs do outweigh the bad but I have noticed that. How do you feel individual GMs should present themselves?: Patient, Open a player shouldn't be afraid to come to a GM you shouldn't have that aura of intimidation around you or you're defeating the overall purpose of what you should be as a GM. How do you feel the GM team collectively should present itself?: I fully believe in the concept your environment sort of breeds your outlook and personality. It goes hand in hand with the previous question a lead in all cases should be serious enough to make sure the job gets done. But also chill enough to provide a nice atmosphere around the team. Please list three players who will vouch for you: Ateegah, Assassinofawsome, GlutenFreeWater_ What is your relationship with the members of the current GM Team?: Well due to the recent purge I'm not very familiar with many on the team but I do consider some friends but most just acquaintances What are you finest and worst traits?: Patient: I would say I'm quite patient when it comes to dealing with people. Which I believe you need to be when it comes to something along these lines having players that do not really understand the server it might become difficult having to repeat things or explain some things perhaps most of us take for granted. Sort of gullible: Really it's in the name. A lot of times thing do tend to fly over my head or I don't fully pick up on if someone is joking or being serious and I think they are joking Friendly: I've been told that I am a friendly person just coming from second hand might be something along the lines the people who vouch for me could prove or disprove Tell us about your time on Lord of the Craft: Alright, so I joined the server around 3 years ago back around Mid-Athera I then took a several month hiatus came back around late Athera joined in with the Vanir group as a guard. And that was really the group that helped me find my foothold in the server which if any of you guys are reading I thank you for. So time went on met some friends some friends left etc. etc. but I joined up with the then Dunamis and I have been apart of quite a few groups up to that point. IE: Vanir, Savoy, Orcs, Courland but the group that I had personally found to be my favorite was the Dunamis/Dreadlands due to the fact everyone seemed to be how I myself view the server as its just a game when they died they were not like most saying 'grr pixels grr' they shrugged it off and went on their way. What parts of the server are you most interested in?: I would be extremely interested in working with the War Team if I did become a GM, other than that a few ideas I had to improve RP combat and try to make it more enjoyable for say an outside force attacking or just guards attacking said outside force. Other than yourself, who of the current applicants would you like to see on the GM Team?: Steel, Gus, really a good portion of the pre-purge GM team fro an outside looking in perspective it seemed to work well before the purge. Link me a good song: I don't care if this is an old movie and its disney this is a good song and I will fight anyone who says otherwise
  7. Minecraft name(s): BraydenIRL Skype ID: braydenirl Timezone: CST. Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? Currently not, or have. What MMORPG/video games have you/do you play (past and present)? Nothing terribly relevant to the interest of roleplay, though I do make an effort for Paradox Interactive games, ie; Stellaris, Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings II/Europa Universalis IV. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a event team member? Morgan Halcourt de Pierrot. As it stands, no, I'm not particularly keen on removing my sole, and only, character. For remaining slots, I would invest into event personalities with all the time I have. What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain. Any and all. I've a select ability to cater for all cultural or specific roleplay groups, be it politics, military or relationships/family in the middle of nature. I'm a very relaxed and meticulous roleplayer myself, so any whom enjoy the scrutiny and length will enjoy my events. I hope. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? Adaptability and comfort. An art to be perfected, flexibility to move with the ebb and flow of the player's actions are important to ensure all have their respective voice. Not only that, but I believe that character development is always something that's sought for in events, looking to progress themselves be it for better[!] or worse. Comfort comes with enjoying yourself, the point of roleplay is to have fun! If you aren't having fun, then I'm not doing my job right. I'd like to change that and always make sure people undergo some sort of excitement or thrill; euphoria and fun. Nobody wants to do things that bum them out OOC'ly, and I hope to counteract that with my spin on events. What strengths could you contribute to the event department? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? While I've been on LotC for a very short time, I believe that only betters myself to sway from the OOC facet that roleplay has been gravitating around. I lack a bias against any selective group of players, race or organization. I'm also a neat freak, I love organizing things and ensuring they look tip-top shape, that paired with high activity [We're looking at six hours a day!!!] . I'm also a bit of a writer and could assist, if needed, with any lore backing things up. Why do you want to be part of the ED? More often than not, I've found myself running around mindlessly on my sole character, watching roleplay rather than doing it myself. Of course, I engage freely at my will when able, though I pray that I could do more with enriched creativity as part of the Event Department. I think a lot of people enjoy my roleplay and I would like to offer that to a wider spectrum of players, utilizing a further creative boundary for events and development. That, and it's also fun for myself to do this. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize: Small: 'Wolf and the Lamb.' Whilst a torrential downpour cascaded the continent of Tahn, a select few individuals yielded within a group had been contacted by a man, a humble rancher of Oren whom had troubles on his god-given land. The contract was spotty, though within the calligraphy and notation had written something about 'maulings' and 'slaughter' of livestock. And a reward. These merry investigators accepted his pleas, beginning their trail for his land- though through the white noise of rain, they heard pitched, peculiar snickers from the treeline. audible by the most perceptive and cunning. The rain only grew stronger, pelting the lifeless leaves overhead as they made for his residence. What was in the treeline? Something so capable as to be ravaging farm animals, yet a faint chime of laughter? Was it a prankster, or is this something beyond that? These courageous adventurers must identify what it could be, examining the estate and nearing lands to identify this 'creature' to fulfill their contract with the rancher. [[ This event includes the unknown, captivating the audience to check behind every closed door, a genuine fear and intrigue. Rewards would be given if they prove successful, if not, they may find things along their way as memorabilia. This is purposefully vague. ]] Medium: 'Golden Butterfly' Native to Ceru, a fabled 'golden' butterfly flutters their wings effortlessly over the continent. Or so the legends say. Prestigious and especially wealthy, "Bill Nigh", an esteemed collector of wildlife and her treasures. Taxidermy of Gy'waka, Braduk Rhinos and more lowly, Elibar, hang proudly in this man's collection, labeling his intention far and wide. Notice breaks out in Sutica and her surrounding establishments, a meeting with the luxurious man himself to fetch him this butterfly. He offers a hefty sum of minae for another trophy piece to his collection, should the group accept. For those who do, they venture to the wild, scouring far and wide with their butterfly nets! To their surprise, a roaming band of run-down appearing individuals stop by, downcast, in patchwork garment and facepaint. They introduce themselves as natives to the land, living by her gift of life; though after asked about the butterfly, they say they know if it. They offer the group something as a deterrence from this butterfly, for as its extinction is.. nigh.. Will the group accept the meager, mustered offer of the natives to preserve this nearing-extinct species of butterfly, or will they catch it for the collection of the collector? [[ This is an event of morality, will the group preserve life, or take it? The minae is tempting, though is the offer of life, but a small, graceful insect not worth it? The group will need to decide on their own, offering brief conflict for an answer. It's fun for the whole family! ]] Large: 'With love,' Julina, Julina, my true love! Two lovers in the capital of Johannesburg have family problems, one neglecting to allow their unification through marriage. Two houses, one big problem. Players will be rallied by the hero, Arturo, to assist him with the bindage of his true love! His family supports his will and hope to marry Julina, though her family does not. Her family will do anything it takes to make sure Arturo is out of the picture, though his family is for the opposite. Where will players sit, hoping to connect these two feuding houses through marriage, or 'remove' Arturo to continue their quarrel? Her family requires a small group of men to kill Arturo, though Julina and Arturo hope to protect their lives and live harmoniously forever. Or not at all. Will they accept the desire of her bloodthirsty family for pay and recognition, or unite true love for a meager, small portion? [[ Further splitting the choices of morality or lawfulness, will players abide by the will and law of the patriarch, or follow the footsteps of love? True conflict will erupt in the name of love, even bloodshed for it. What will players do for minae, or love? Will these feuding peasant houses ever rest? ]] * All of my events, as portrayed, include fictional characters, and are but placeholder ideas. How long do you plan to stay on the ED? For as long as I'm kept! Tell me a joke! Did you hear about the Illatian that died recently? he pasta way........
  8. MC name: Ebonsquire Forum name: Fordo Skype Name: gyasiford What is your timezone?: EST How do you wish to work on the wiki? (Media, proof checking, writing, etc): Uploading media such as pictures/reference images when possible, proof reading/correcting grammatical errors and verifying the legitimacy of the wiki posts, and writing up new ones using information given to me by valid and trusted sources. Have you worked on the, or any wiki before?: No. I've never worked on any sort of wiki before. Which lore are you most familiar with?: Magic (Dark/Arcane), some human history, some world history, some magical artifacts. Showcase your experience with either of these topics by: A paragraph showing your knowledge on the topic: The Gorloth Staff A staff whose shaft is composed of a mysteriously umbrous and quasi-metallic material, reaching a length of 5'3". Along said shaft is a masterful engraving of the word "Hiishtgul," a word which must be translated from the Black Tongue -- Al'Tahrn-Durngo -- to Common. The top of the staff bears a bright, fist-sized, red decahedron-shaped gemstone which levitates off the shaft's tip, permeating a deep red hue throughout the surrounding area. Before the staff breaks off to support the stable, floating gem, a hook wrought from the same black material branches off from the staff. The Gorloth staff is an artifact primarily used to bring about the creation of Gorloths, or corrupted golems whose connection to their Impera has been rendered null by a defiling force. Once an individual has learned how to properly use this staff for its intended purpose, they may spawn Gorloths from pre-existing golems and command them.

    [Denied]Shorkie's Gm Application

Minecraft name/s: Shorkie (formerly AlteredGENx & SIDynasty) AlteredGENx Age: 17 Time zone and availability: Eastern Standard Time (EST) Skype: AlteredCriminal What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?: I've brought several friends into the LoTC community and it comes with great sorrow to say that I've seen them leave as faster than it took for them to put in the effort to create a well-written application that had gotten accepted. The main issue which has been mentioned before is the lack of spontaneous role play. For us veterans, we already know how to maneuver around this through seeking out or initiating the role play ourselves, but unfortunately new players feel overwhelmed and relatively unconfidcent about how to situate themselves in the world. A good friend in the Fringe who wasn't an ET, still managed to create events that truly had a d&d-like feel to it. Each person involved in the event were treated evenly and they all played important roles. A number of bambis would begin as adventurers seeking to discover and experience the thrill of a fantasy world. There is some dispute about the map itself, but almost all can agree that the map builders did an excellent job when it came to building event areas in the wild. This consists of ruins, dungeons, or just beautifully made forests. Not many people know who I really am and it all has to do with the thrill I get from exploration. I've uncovered the majority of Athera and still find myself coming back to certain areas to see if I could possibly stumble across new structures that I may have missed. The signs do well in explaining things and players are intrigued to see what would happen if they were to tamper with the objects. Another thing new players lack are connections which is why I did like it when I saw recruiters standing about CT, ready to help the other players and possibly get them to join their group, but without these players then the bambis are left to wander about. How can we fix this? I would like to work with a GM team that is assigned to helping new players. It would work along with the ET team, of course. What are your finest qualities?: I'm sympathetic for new players and one important thing I would provide is a positive attitude when it comes to handling and resolving issues among players. I'm not entirely sure if this was discussed with the GM team, but I used to see players who were unsatisfied with the way some GMs handled their problems. If a player broke a rule, they'd be automatically banned or kicked. I've experienced this myself back in The Fringe and Thales. I'd like to commend BrandNewKitten who pmed me beforehand and discussed the situation with me in a respectful manner. I appreciate those who are respectful towards other human beings regardless of their status in life (irl and online). I will treat other players with respect and make it my priority that the outcome of every case ends with satisfied people. What are your worst qualities, and how could you improve these aspects?: When I am determined and motivated by ambition to perform a role then I make sure that my weak qualities are not involved. My weak qualities are dependability. But! This is only shown when I am disinterested in something in which case I wouldn't have even bother applying for in the first place! I am, without a doubt, fully prepared to give my time to benefit the players of LoTC. It was the first and only Minecraft roleplay server that I've ever applied for and actually seen grow. What members of the Staff could you look to for guidance?: BrandNewKitten is a GM who may not remember me now because I have only dealt with her once before, but it was that first impression that makes them someone I will look up to. First impressions are everything to me and it shows a lot about the character of someone in my opinion. I will treat everyone with respect as long as they are worthy of it. Who do you not get along with on the current team?: I've had little need to deal with GMs so I cannot say, but I do very much hope that I will get along with every GM. How much free time do you have? Will this change in the foreseeable future?: With my timezone, I will be available throughout the majority of every week during the summer. Vacations and unexpected trips are inevitable and the GM lead will be notified at a reasonable time beforehand. During the school year, my time becomes restricted to approx. 2-5 hours a day during fall football season which ends in November. Once it's over then I can be on longer! Final words: I look forward to reading and responding to any questions and comments that may come. I've said this in my Media Team Application as well, but as a member who has several years of experience on LoTC, it only feels natural to want to help this server in any way I can! Edit: Been about three months since this application was posted and I've been thinking more and more about why I applied in the first place. While I agree with following procedure and posting an application showing interest in the GM team I also feel that direct communication is something that all gm leaders and vets should consider. You'll never get to really understand the motives behind a wall of text. I've recently got involved with another group in another game and must say that the process included an interview. I was told to study the rules thoroughly and then when the time came, I would be questioned and given a personal interview. Staff teams, more importantly the GM's and Admins, have very demanding and tedious regulations and procedures that should be followed word per word and I believe getting to know your team throughout the GM Trials is one very crucial way to get to know if this person is really that dependable, friendly, and efficient one who will get the job done and contribute to the goals that are laid out to the team.

    Spiffy's Event Team Application

Minecraft name(s) SpiffyTaylor Skype ID spiffytaylor497 Time zone Mountain Time Zone Have you ever been banned or received a strike? Yes, I was banned quite recently. There was no ban report, however, I have an appeal that explains the situation and had my banned shortened by about a month and two weeks. https://www.lordofth...peal/?hl=spiffy Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? Currently I hold a position on the MAT. I’ve had it for about two months now and it has only helped further my already vast knowledge on magic lore and responsibilities. What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present) I’ve played many games. These games would include things such as: Legend of Zelda All Elder Scrolls A few Fallouts Witcher Dragon Age SWTOR Etc. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? My only character is an Adunian that goes by the name of Asher. He’s been a skilled mage for a long while, and the progress that I’ve made with him is something I’d rather not throw away, so if possible I’d much rather not sacrifice him at this point. What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain. I don’t believe my RP would cater toward any single specific race/group. I feel as if I have enough knowledge to create multiple different events that would cater toward different groups, or even twist certain events so that they would cater toward different groups. However, if I were to pick a group my events would cater towards it would be people who are adventurous or curious. The two races I could likely best cater events toward would be dwarves and wood elves, however I could most definitely think of ways to appeal toward other audiences. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? There are multiple key factors to events that I believe are almost if not equal to each other in importance. These factors would include the following: Entertainment- Entertainment plays a large part in the sense of events. No matter what it is, even if you can’t please everybody you must make a conscious effort to please as many people as you can with your events. They’re supposed to be fun, not a chore! Roleplay- Enjoyable roleplay provided by all members (especially the ET in this case) is great for a good event. It allows all people involved to have a good time and could even call for major character development in some cases. Maturity/Respect- This plays a large factor in successful events. In the time of being an ET, there’s bound to be at least one person who isn’t happy with an outcome or something of the sort. If this does happen, you have to make sure you keep mature and level headed, and try to take the criticism as best as possible! When was the last time you saw a event? The last time I remember seeing an event as of 6/23/15 was actually just a few days ago, hosted by PiercingDarkness (Persaius), though I was only there for a short amount of time. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? I believe one of my greatest strengths would be my knowledge of lore; specifically my knowledge of magic lore. I’ve read most if not all of the guides multiple times and my vast knowledge of magic lore has expanded even further since I’ve joined the Magic Application Team. My organization is above par and I would be capable of keeping all of my ideas nice and tidy. I work quite well with others and would be able to cooperate with other members of the Event Team. I’m also able to take criticism well and keep calm while doing so, even if the other person involved is being less than nice. Lastly, I have a large amount of free time on my hands, so I'd be able to put out a good number of events! Why do you want to be ET? I feel like I could provide fun event ideas, more event ideas and could also execute them in an enjoyable manner. I personally feel like there have been a lack of events as of recently and would like to change that, and I feel like becoming a part of the event team would be a good way to help me achieve that goal. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon. (1-3 People!) The dwarves are having a feast, though a feast isn’t a feast without alcohol and the occasional drinking game. Good thing they have kegs of it! Though one dwarf in particular decides to take the idea of a drinking game too far, the players unaware of what may occur. This event would be one held at some sort of mass gathering in the dwarven lands. A dwarven man would arrive at the gathering and would ask a few others if they’d like to participate in a drinking game, luring them in with a promise of wealth or perhaps even something greater. The three guests would all participate in a game where there are three large pints of alcohol. The ET member’s character would tell each of them to drink from one of the three pints, each of the drinks having a different effect. One may perhaps cause the consumer to pass out, another may cause them to have strange illusions, though no matter what, one of the drinks is completely untouched. The one who drinks out of the untampered with drink would get a hefty sum of wealth or they could ask for something greater. That’s when the soul contracts would come in. (5-10 People!) A lone figure garbed in dark robes meanders into a tavern, his eyes beginning to drift over all those present. It eventually catches the sight of what it was looking for, speaking in a roaring yet raspy tone, “Where. Is it!?” it bellows, pausing for only a short moment as a dark mist begins to seep outward from the hem of its sleeve. This event could come about a number of ways, though my initial idea for this event was for it to be a part of a small series of events; a quest line of sorts. Before this encounter, a small party would have entered a tomb or something of the sort for whatever reason they could conjure up. While in the depths of the tomb, they encounter a large majority of traps until eventually reaching the end, where they would find a glowing gem. If one were to study it deeply, they could perhaps recall it being a phylactery for some lich. This smaller event would trigger this potentially larger event to occur, which could then lead to another event, depending on how it goes. (20+ People!) A magnificent beast, wreaking of magical essence. It couldn’t have possibly came about these lands itself. It lets out an earsplitting roar, its deformed tail swishing and the ground violently shaking with each step. It’s chest is clad with some sort of natural plate, protecting its heart. Everyone in its radius would feel terrified, the horror produced by this beast apparent to all. This event would revolve around a Voidal Horror; or rather, a behemoth being summoned by a blood mage and essentially terrorizing an entire town until it can be taken down. Though this is quite a simple event, so much could be done with it due to the fact that voidal horrors are incredibly creative creatures. They have a large range of abilities and appearances, and that’s what I love about them. (https://www.lordofth...voidal-horrors/) How long do you plan to stay in the ET? For as long as the team is willing to have me, so hopefully for a long, long time. Tell me a joke. I sponsor Little Debbie's Snack Cakes.

MCname: [For reference as to where I acquired my new name from] (Formerly FinalhazardX) Forum Name: BlackerTheBerry Skype Name: Timezone: Pacific Standard Time [PST] Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Yes. After having been on Lord of the Craft for roughly two years I feel I understand what is required from both the Appplicants, and the Application Team. My knowledge of not only the base lore, but even some of the more 'advanced' races and magic is also expansive, allowing me to answer many questions others couldn't. Why do you want to be an AT member and do you have the ability to work with others? With the Mentor Team being removed I believe that New-Players need all the help they can get, from the application process all the way to the in-game mechanics of Lord of the Craft. Often I see Wandering Souls commenting on how the application process is hard or how they don't understand something. I'm willing to hold their hand through the way in order to ensure that their first impression of LotC is a good one. Do you recognize that you will be given extra responsibilities such as working on the LoTC wiki, assisting the AT in creating guides and helping new players with their questions upon logging into LoTC? Yes! I have aided in editing and revising some parts of the wiki. I even created a Lich page since one didn't exist. I have no qualms or quarrels with working with people, whether they be existing members of LotC or those just joining the community. Is there anything else you would like to add? If I am accepted the AT is going to have to deal with puns endlessly, however for your reading pleasure I've yet to include any puns into this thread. Also, feedback, negative or otherwise is highly appreciated. Is there something I did that ticked you off? Tell me about it, I'm sure I look like a total asshat in the eyes of others, and I'm fine with that, I'd like to clear any /thread

    [✗] The Great Flood

Event Planners, MC Names: TheCreatorzWink Event Type: Global Event. Event Date: Any time you wish. Factions/Nations effected by the event: Potentially any if they are close enough to the ocean. Event Location: Potentially anywhere if they are close enough to the ocean. Summary: Another peaceful day in Athera. Another fun time. Soon that it when it starts. A day on the beach seems nice but no. Slowly the tides rise and rise and rise slowly. They may say it's a coincidence that it's a little higher but no. The water won't go lower. Every day it keeps going higher and higher and higher. That is when is gets suspicious. The water is never that high. Slowly the water starts going away from the ocean and onto the land. By the time people feel as if they are in danger, it is too late, the water has already reached at a state of no return. The water shall keep rising until the end off the flood. Concept Images/Screenshots: http://i.guim.co.uk/static/w-620/h--/q-95/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2014/2/13/1392311465842/Flooding-In-England-008.jpg http://prntscr.com/6x3ras Other Information: Basically what is happening is the water is slowly coming from the ocean and rising. Do you need the Event Team's assistance?: Of course. If so, do you require actors and/or builders?: Perhaps some builders to help pour the water to make the water rise.
  14. Minecraft name(s): Altiak Skype ID: d-dogftw Time zone: Pacific Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: I have never been banned. Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?: I was a guide prior to my temporary departure. What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present): My favorite games are Crusader Kings 2, Europa Universalis IV, Witcher 2, Mount and Blade: Warband, and Civilization V. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?: Should the lead-up be fulfilling, I would be willing certainly permanently kill my character for the sake of roleplay. To keep my experience on the server and that of others dynamic, I have exhibited this in the past with a character that died defending his slain king and prominent countrymen in a bloody encounter. My sole and primarily character is Guy de Bar, Grand Master of the Knights Lorraine. What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain: I believe my events would best suit the human race as I know of its daily dealings and general player-base. Though I am not opposed to engaging with the other races of LoTC. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?: Fundamental components to a lucrative event include a beguiling initiation, a plot that can be pursued by all, a solid execution with PvE or PvP(as it is my aspiration to include fellow team members to add depth through their own unique ideas), and finally, a fluid conclusion in accordance to the rest of the event. When was the last time you saw a event?: The event I last witnessed was organized by JuicyRhino, and pertained to the killing of banditry! What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?: I would affix my experience in roleplay and leadership to the team. I’d strive to propagate compelling, lively roleplay through leading by example and actively affiliate with fellow members to conform to such standards. My insight into lore is adequate and the various organizations I have led testify my ability to organize. Why do you want to be part of the ET?: It is my wish to join the Event Team because I strive to engender this dynamic roleplay to the utmost of my ability and to immerse the contemporary playerbase in such a manner. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Kai, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon. 1) For 1-3 person: A seasoned traveler with tales of daring and trophies from his adventures. His main purpose would be to sell unusual wares to potential buyers and to share his recollections within a social environment such as a tavern. This would attract those in a city to listen in and interact as opposed to what is typically seen: recruitment and PvP. 2) For a group of 5-10: A meager amount of upstart peasants riled by their local liege lord(baron/count) who decide to revolt. Though they have limited martial experience and little riches, they would sweep through the holding to seize proper weapons/equipment from the local garrison. This event would effectively engage the local populace of a settlement and spur the military, civilian populace, and its acting lord. Though not necessarily designed to be a grasp for power, should the minor rebellion gain momentum and manpower, I would leave the roleplay to fluidly advance. 3) For a group of 20+: A copious party of hardened of zealotry delving into a crypt to retrieve a holy relic pertaining to their religion. They would have to clash against an army of heretics utilizing ungodly magic to halt their advance. The purpose of this event would be to offer competitive roleplay including both PvE and PvP. The outcome of such event could also serve as an incentive for religious roleplay which I find to be lacking. How long do you plan to stay in the ET?: Until I take my leave from the server indefinitely. Tell me a joke: What do rabid dogs love to chase? Squirrrles!
  15. MCname: BlackerTheBerry (Formerly FinalhazardX) Forum Name: The Pumpkin Lich Skype Name: Timezone: Pacific Standard Time [PST] Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Yes, of course! After having been on Lord of the Craft for roughly two years I feel I understand what is to be required from applicants. I mean, one has to be strict on standards in order to not let trolls join, yet be lenient enough to allow those who wish to figure out what roleplay is to be able to join the server to see if they will even like roleplaying. Why do you want to be an AT member and do you have the ability to work with others? Why do I want to be AT? Why do I want to be AT? Well, that's a rather easy question to answer. With Summer coming up I feel that even more players will be applying, and with more players there will be more staff needed. Not only that however but some people have been waiting at least two days for their application to be accepted! To be fair, that's kinda ridiculous considering that if you screw up on your application the first time you have to wait a whole 24-hours before you can get accepted again. I don't intend on making this a 'Summer Job', however as if I am accepted I intend on helping even throughout the school-year. Do you recognize that you will be given extra responsibilities such as working on the LoTC wiki, assisting the AT in creating guides and helping new players with their questions upon logging into LoTC? 16. MCname: mjsc10 Forum Name: Aethos Tyberian Skype Name: coler88 Timezone: EST Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? I do, I browse the forums constantly during the first half of the day while I am at school, and have taken up a small hobby of completing practice applications, going to pending or new applications and going through, seeing if I would accept them or not, depending on the quality of the application. Through this, and looking at both the denied and accepted application sections, I have picked up on many of the weak points of people’s applications including incorrect or plagiarized definitions for role-play, meta-gaming, and power-gaming, as well as thin bios or bios with no lore. When I am done browsing the applications and the new posts for the day, I often move to the wiki, browsing that as well and even more increasing my knowledge on the server’s lore, and after being on the server for well over six months, I do feel like I have a solid grasp on the lore of the server. Why do you want to be an AT member and do you have the ability to work with others? I would like to become an AT mainly to get new players into the server so that they might have the experience when I did when I first joined, leading me to get hooked. I want to get them in the server as fast as possible while still selectively letting people in who have proven themselves and their ability through the application process. I do also think that I have the ability to work with others, both IRP, OOC, and IRP. Do you recognize that you will be given extra responsibilities such as working on the LoTC wiki, assisting the AT in creating guides and helping new players with their questions upon logging into LoTC? I do recognize that I will be given extra responsibilities, and I accept them with open arms, more than happy to do the extra work, especially with working on the wiki. Ever since I have joined, the dated and detailed lore has intrigued me, and I would be delighted to have the chance to work on the wiki. I also already sit in the wandering soul chat, often waiting for new people to log on to the server. I usually ask them if they have any questions, answer them to the best of my ability, and when they are ready to dive into the applying process, I send them the link to the whitelist applications page on the forums. On the occasion, I sometimes compete with current AT members during these times to answer the souls, and help them begin. Is there anything else you would like to add? Feedback wanted and welcomed!
  17. Minecraft name(s): Man5791 Skype ID: Preferably sent through PMs via the forums. Though I don’t believe that’s needed as Freema already has my skype. Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: No. Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? I am currently a member of the Application and Forum Moderation teams. Both of which are entirely forum based, and thus I have applied to the ET in the hopes that I can help the community in-game more extensively. What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present) Age of Empires II and III, The Total War series, Counterstrike Global Offensive, Mount & Blade: Warband, Crusader Kings II, Europa Universalis IV, World of Warcraft (Burning Crusade - Warlords of Draenor), and The Elder Scrolls series. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? As of late, I have had two main characters, which are Cantonus Chivay and Uldar Irongut. Although I currently only actively play Cantonus, I would be entirely willing to sacrifice either of my characters in order to become a member of the Event Team. That is provided that their deaths are done in a way that would make sense ICly. What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain. Due to my extensive experience as a Human and Dwarf, I believe I would best cater to those two groups. Though, that’s not to say that I would provide events for only them, as I would like to help the entirety of the playerbase with my events. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? Most certainly the most critical aspects of a successful event is preparation, organization, and execution. Though the events should remain susceptible to change by the players attending, they should not be improvised, as those are the sort of events that reflect badly upon the Event Team. That’s not to say that every path should be preset, but merely that they should be outlined prior to the event start so that they can serve as a base to deviate from. When was the last time you saw a event? The last event I’ve seen was the Leuvaarden festival on the 22nd, which was unfortunately cut short due to the threat on our borders. Something I liked about it was how it was organized and done by a large group of ET. The event definitely had potential, and was good as far as we could continue it. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? I offer my vast experience of organization and my ability to work cohesively with others in order to create enjoyable events for all attendees. Furthermore, I am skilled at writing, and thus I can compose any RP/OOC threads for events. Why do you want to be part of the ET? Quite simply, I would like to continue my efforts in contributing to the community. Already I have two staff positions which are entirely forum related, and so I would like to also help in-game by creating events for the community. I’ve experienced numerous events and I feel as though I have a solid grasp on what is required to make a good event. I think it would be a great way to stay involved with the server and meet a larger variety of people, which is something I value highly. Lastly, I would like to aid the races such as the Kha who don't get as much support due to their smaller playerbase. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. 1) For 1-3 person A small party find posters detailing a merchant hailing from the lands of Aeldin, set to arrive in the next few days. It is said that he has various valuable relics within his cargo, yet the issue stands that he has split his shipment to several different locations. Only one holds the valuable goods, whilst the other two hold items of lesser value. The players will be provided with various hints throughout their journey to figure out which shipment is the correct one. If they end up going to the correct location, then they will meet the trader alongside his shipment. He’ll begin with greeting those who find him and it will be up to the players as to whether or not they will end his life, make a trade, or leave him and his goods alone. All paths will hold a different ending, which will differ depending upon player dialogue and actions. 2) For a group of 5-10 A large group of priests enter Leuvaarden, seemingly with the intention to help the local church with religious matters. They claim to be devout followers of the Creator, spreading his word, yet they are not part of the Canonist church. Their goal would be to begin converting members of the town, asking more and more for tribute to the Creator. It would quickly begin to become more suspicious as they are revealed to be con artists. It will be up to the townspeople to bring them to justice, allow them to leave in peace, or perhaps to even pursue them further and see their true motives. If further pressed, it will be learned that there is much more substance than the fact that they are simple holymen... 3) For a group of 20+ Numerous golem constructs have gone upon a rampage around the outskirts of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan’s lands. As for who their Impera is, it is not known. At first, a few thahnic golems would appear within Kal'Karaad seemingly made by the local golemancers. The situation would quickly escalate as the number of golems would increase, more appearing with the sole reason of causing bedlam. This is where it would become clear that it is not a simple mistake by Kingdom golemancers and rather an effort directed by a foreign entity. The Dwedmar are tasked with putting up a formidable defense, also having to figure out who exactly is coordinating this effort to plague their lands. The entire process will be long and tedious, yet rewarding in the end provided they are able to acquire a sufficient amount of hints towards whom the golem's Impera is. How long do you plan to stay in the ET? For the entirety of my time upon LOTC, I hope. It has been a long desire of mine to begin helping out on the Event Team, and I take this as my opportunity to do so. Tell me a joke Why were the early days of history called the dark age? Because there were so many knights. xddd

  19. Minecraft name: Ziko99 Skype ID: Kardel.Irongut Timezone: EST +2 Have you had any bans or strikes? If yes give a link: Nope Why do you want to be both a builder and an actor for the ET?: I was a builder and an actor before on the ET, and it always had given me a sense of belonging. On my first term as an ET back in late Anthos, I served for a good 2-3 months before an IRL event happened that forced me to quit LotC for a month. This time was definitely the best time I'd ever had on LotC, and continues to be so. I helped 30326 with the Ondnarch events, I helped with the Setherien storyline, and I began building, but then I had to quit because of the aforementioned IRL event. I’ve received a lot of praise for my events in the past, especially about my acting. I keep getting people today that tell me, at times randomly, that I need to rejoin the ET. I was hesitant to do so because of the fact that I DID rejoin the ET right after my work on 4.0 was finished, and this resulted in me having to take another embarrassing hiatus, of which I left little to no warning that I was going to do. This has tormented me for months, and I did not have the guts to re-apply for now. In all truth, I don’t expect to get re-accepted. After all, actions speak more than words and my own actions are testimony to my erratic contribution to the ET, as I have left on an unexpected hiatus twice now. However, if you would hear my side of the story, these two events were totally unprecedented, and now as I have a better foresight of my future and what might happen, I plan to be much more active on the ET. As for a more concrete reason about wanting to become both a builder and an actor on the ET, I want to become an actor again for various reasons. The reason why I play LotC is to channel out the creativity build up in me after a long day of, well, non-creative process-following. I believe that the ET will allow me to do this better than simply being a player on LotC (I speak on experience, as I have been in both positions and know how it feels). Recently, I have come up with a series of events and ideas that I think could greatly contribute to the server, and while I have tried to channel those ideas outwards using normal game mechanisms, I have found that to be highly impossible. Why I want to be a builder as well as an actor though, is actually for practical reasons. Based on others’ opinions of me, I am a pretty good actor and a good builder as well. Since I have both virtues, I feel that I do not have to waste other builders’ time on my own events, as they could be doing something far more important. Instead, I can build for myself AND plan out and act the events, while not bothering anyone else. I could also help people if they are to need help with their own buildings, but I’d much rather prefer to keep the building to my own events as it would make me more self sufficient. What are some of your most treasured builds? (screenshots if possible): http://imgur.com/a/VEcF6 http://imgur.com/a/glVLc Do you hold any other staff positions? I do not. Used to be an ET. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? I have 3 characters, but in reality, the only character i play is Kardel Irongut. Kardel was my first character on LotC and has been shaped and eroded by RP as a newly-formed mountain is by wind and water. A lot of work has gone into producing Kardel, and he is a character that is very dear to me. Losing him would mean a lot to me, and would be very hard. I’d much rather sacrifice my other characters instead of Kardel. . .but if by some sort of drastic measure I simply must sacrifice Kardel for the good of RP, then I definitely would. Would I regret it? Yes, I’d be quite sad. Would I not do it if it was for the sake of greater RP? No, quality RP in my eyes, within and even outside of the ET, always comes before characters. Pick three of the following building styles, and show us a build, of yours, that corresponds to each choice.(terraforming, organic, medieval, high fantasy, underground) Sadly, I’ve formatted my computer multiple times and have kept no precious builds or a lot of builds in general. This list will be constantly updated. Terraforming: The Northern Taiga on the server was my project alone. Cliff terraform and mediterranian island terraform (only contours, no trees yet): http://imgur.com/a/qEz3L Organic: A collection of sea monsters: http://imgur.com/a/4Q2Xg Some terraforming as well as fantasy builds and organics: http://imgur.com/a/LqxeH Medieval: Tower and Terrain inspired by Disney's Tangled: http://imgur.com/a/CK90d Balkanic village and small gothic build: http://imgur.com/a/6J46p Gothic Castle I quite like, recently built: http://imgur.com/a/VEcF6 Old medieval builds. I think this was a year prior, Anthos. Not a great example but an example nonetheless. I was new to building here.: http://imgur.com/a/9J7rW Are you an independent builder, and are you capable of handling all aspects of a build? I can definitely be an independent builder, but usually i prefer working with a team and doing a certain job. This job is usually detailing; I live for small, little details that really make a build stand out. I am capable of handling all aspects of a build, but I’m afraid that takes me forever. When it comes to details, I really breeze through everything, but when it comes to planning out a build and building it, especially if the build is on a large scale, than I am at a terrible handicap as I have never built large. I always focus on Detail, and tend to avoid larger objects unless it is terraforming. Create two distinct RP scenarios/events that are based on the lore of LOTC, and that you would organize. 1) For a group of 5-10 2) For a group of 20+ How long does it take for you to complete a build? Small Build: 2-3 days at the most, depending on the amount of detail put into it. This can be a ruin build or a small dungeon of sorts. Medium Build: usually takes me a good 5 days to finish. Medium builds need more attention to detail and need much more planning. They also need more work. I consider small towns and big ruins as medium builds, and these usually take good amounts of time. Large Builds: take from a week to a month to finish, or maybe even more! The problem with large builds is that they tend to be persistent and repetitive, something I can’t handle. Large builds take serious planning, and serious work and detailing. These builds are hell for me as I can barely finish one if the type of build it is supposed to be is not defined in every single aspect. If I am forced to do a build, it can take me months, but if I am told to improvise with a build and given a general idea, I can get it done pretty quickly. Tell us how you plan on constructing a large build, a medium build, and a small build. Small Build: Look at initial idea first and draft a style quickly to use in the build. Define color scheme and shape of the build before making it, and then just go along with whatever you think it best. In the end, detail everything as much as possible. Medium Build: Look at the initial idea, and break the idea of the build into a multitude of concepts. Draft color schemes for each concept, and shape for each concept. Draft concept map to link the concepts together, and plan a rough layout of the build. Keeping in mind the developed palette and shape of the concepts state beforehands, follow the rough plan of the build and complete the build. Large Build: Look at initial idea, break it up into many concepts, link the concepts together somewhat and decide an overall style for everything. Find some space, and decide whether the space is big enough. Adapt each aspect of the build to the created style (unlike in a medium build, when you adapt each style to every aspect). Draft a series of buildings using the created style in order to get better idea of the style. Plan a thorough outline of the build, and begin constructing the build as specified in the outline. Detail WHILE building, in order to provide maximum detail in the end. Additional details (Do you know how to Voxel? World Edit? Craftbook? Etc...): I know quite a lot of World Edit (I terraformed the northern taiga on the server all by myself!). I know all about custom brushes and terraforming and so on. I know voxel to some extent, and only prefer to use it for making a rough outline of the landscape, but I mostly use world edit. I can also use WorldMachine and WorldPainter and all that fun massive development stuff. How long do you plan to stay in the ET? 4 months at worst. December will be a breeze, and January will not be a big problem but February things might get harder because of midterms and all. I’ll try to be on during the month every other weekend, but keep in mind I’m on a tight scholarship :P. Realistically, I’d say a good 4-10 months. I guarantee you 4 months is the absolute bare minimum, and probably won't happen, while 8 months is very realistic. Heck, I might stay until this server dies! It all depends on school, and since this is my last year of it, I think Imma be pretty well off. Tell me a trick about building (eg: floating torches, custom heads) 1.In order to make torches float, you place an uncommon block under them (as to not accidentally erase other blocks around you and screw the area up. Eg: Use netherrack in a meadow biome under the torch) and use WE to do the /replacenear [radius] [block under torches ID] air. This will cause the blocks under the torches to disappear and the torches will be left floating. The trick above also works for all gravitational/special blocks like gravel, sand, flower pots, redstone torches, rails, etc. Speaking of Rails, you can give the illusion of a broken rail sliding off into oblivion or whatever with the trick mentioned above. You can cause a rail to slope downwards by placing uncommon blocks under it in a stair fashion, and replace them with air using WE. If you connect this to a rail system in a mine build, you could give the illusion of a broken rail leading off into lava or something of the sort. 2.Pistons make great tables 3./give [your name] 397 1 3 {SkullOwner:[desired player’s name for head]} is how you get a custom head Tell me what you want from the ET. What I want from the ET is to be allowed to express my creativity and carry out events to bring more RP to the server as I see fit. I know the ET is a team, but I’d like to do some independent work as well if possible. After all, this question asks me what I want from the ET. I dont ask for a free-pass to do whatever I want 24/7; I’m asking for the permission to carry out an event that I’ve planned beforehands say, once per week. This allows for more RP to be created as well as for me to express my creativity in an effective manner. I also want that thrill I used to get when an event would go successfully and I'd be flooded with Tells asking fore more.

    Charoodler's Et App

Minecraft name(s): Charoodler and SmortSmoo Skype ID: charoodler Time zone: CST (GMT -6) Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: I was banned for breaking raid rules and some other things once or twice. I don't think I've been banned with a report before besides the report I made on myself during 2013 finals :P Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? No. What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present) LoL and DOTA in the past. I've played very briefly on WoW but otherwise I tend to avoid MMORPGs, I have HL2 and some other stuff on steam. I also play a lot of Skyrim. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? Mikael, Huor/Tyrnal (dead anyway but bluh) and Cendrus are my most cherished characters. I'd be willing to sacrifice any character besides those two really, and maybe either of them if I absolutely had to, but I'll just say that if I was an ET, I would do little on other than provide events and thus killing off my characters would be a little bit unnecessary. What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain. I doubt sincerely that I'd shackle myself to a single group as an ET, but to be honest I'd be sweeping around the crossroad near Haelun'or and the Druid's Grove and providing flavor events (perhaps merchant caravans or wild animal attacks, because that sounds hawt) What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? Quite simply allowing complete player interactivity in the event. If someone wants to bash down a door to the ancient ruin, so long as they roll for it and do it correctly, that door is bashed down. Secondly and tying into this, I think there's a need to make the player feel important. Fantasy video games and literature are very character-driven and thus I think it's foolish to script an event. I also think that providing some neat loot as an incentive is pretty cool ;) When was the last time you saw a event? Just yesterday, that strange beast attacking Petrus, which was cool. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? I think I'm quite good at organization and I have an in-depth knowledge of lore, but if I can provide anything it's the freakish amount of activity I can give to the ET. I want to, if I get this position, do little if anything but provide RP and execute/plan events. Why do you want to be part of the ET? I'm the kind of kid on the playground that likes to make up games to play, to be honest. I love every aspect about providing a fun event for other people, often more than I do playing in events. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon. 1) For 1-3 person 2) For a group of 5-10 3) For a group of 20+ How long do you plan to stay in the ET? As long as you'll have me. I'll probably take a break around december for final exams. Tell me a joke Why did the bear cross the road?

Mcname: akatsukinaruto69 Forum Name: Amras Cuthalion Skype Name: akatsukinaruto69 (MJ Hunt) Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Yes, I have been playing since Aegis and helped several friends with understanding their applications. One time one of my friends got denied and started freaking out and I helped him understand how to fix the mistakes they pointed out; I told him to post again in 24 hours and he got accepted. Why you want to be an AT member? I have been apart of LotC for so long that I just want to be able to help and welcome the new travelers on their journey and deny trouble makers. Is there anything else you would like to add? I read the lore/wiki in my spare time, everything from Creation to current events. I'm currently reading more on Aegul and Daemons. My favorite lore from the wiki is the Black Scourge because of how deep it goes into details. I also try to keep up with everthing on the forums.

Minecraft name: Xerxes_XIII Skype ID: doctor_lyle (Benjamin “Kalehart”) Time zone: PST (GMT -8) Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: I have not. Nor have I ever been reported to my memory. Do you hold any other staff positions? I was part of the VAT before it’s removal, but currently hold no staff positions. What MMORPG/video games do you play? To give a rough list: Runescape Conquer Online Guild Wars 2 World of Warcraft (Not Much) Maplestory Those are the few that I played for any real length of time. I tend to pick things up and then drop them soon after. LotC has been the only constant in recent years. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? If it was required, yes, I would sacrifice one or all of my characters to become ET. To list the ones I’m currently playing… Thoculus: The Anguish Demon of Sprat's Creation. Peter "Redlest" Horen: Just a human. What race/group do you think your events would best cater to? None, I would do my best to avoid any tendencies towards a singular player group. This said, if I noticed one particular group whom was more bored than another, they would have my preference for that moment. I’ll make events where they are needed and most appreciated, not where my bias lays. On a slightly different note, my events would likely be dark in theme for the most part. Though at this point that is only speculation. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? Atmosphere An event without atmosphere may as well not be happening. You must aim to make the player experience a fraction of what their character does. Be that fear or wonder. Engage the senses with your descriptions, use vocabulary that reflects the event. Timing An event that is poorly timed is, in my experience, doomed to fail. You need to know when and when not to interrupt people’s roleplay for an event. You also need to have a solid progression for the event; make sure it doesn’t start or end too quickly. Give people time to react and roleplay amongst themselves. Malleability If you have an ending for an event already in mind, odds are you’ll end up having to force it. Nobody wants an event to remind them of a play, where everything is acted out and their involvement is pointless. Let the event be controlled and influenced by the players. Let it end sooner or later than you planned. Spontaneity There are few things better than the moment when you are doing some mediocre, uninteresting roleplay and suddenly something interesting happens. It engages you, makes you enthusiastic to participate. Whilst I don’t consider this vital, I consider it among my highest priorities for an event. When was the last time you saw a event? About four days ago. The event was involving a character called Wrathian, and was done by Tentoa. Quite an enjoyable event. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? Tell us! I like to think that I’m exceedingly good with public relations. Be that dealing with those who dislike the team, answering Q&As, or simply mediating when it’s needed. Beyond these practical skills, I regard myself as quite creative and capable of turning an average idea into something extraordinary. I’m also quite good at creating an atmosphere for an event. I’m relatively eloquent, though not on par with someone such as Zarsies or Slic3man; since I don’t have a thesaurus nailed to my skull. To put it simply, I like writing and creating events, so I’ve become good at just about every aspect of it; from consistent characters and theming, to the development of an idea. Why do you want to be part of the ET? To be entirely honest, because I’d enjoy it and I know I could do it well. I want to help the server, and I want to make the experience of it better for others. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events that you would organize. 1) For one-3 person 2) For a group of 5-10 3) For a group of 20+ (1-3) A Specter - Haunted Forest “Three adventurers wander idly through the woods, picking their way over logs and rocks, meandering around trees and past small streams. As they walk, a scream splits the air. It’s pitch sends birds flying from the trees, feathers drifting downwards towards the trio. Slowly, the scent of sulphur would snake it’s way to their senses. A shadowed figure lingers in the treeline, it’s vacant and chilled eyes observing the group from every shadow. This being would follow the men; doing no harm but seeking to scare them away from it’s domain.” With this event my goal would be to create interaction with the playerbase, and beyond that, to enrich the world. With this type of character I would likely choose a certain section of woods, or even perhaps ask a builder to create some, that this figure would haunt. Building an IC reason for people to avoid and fear the woods, perhaps even inspiring legends amongst nearby settlements. It’s climax could be anything from it being hunted down, to someone stumbling upon it’s ‘nest’ and escaping to tell the others, whom would find the creature gone. 5-10 A Grim Waltz - The Malicious Illusionist “In the populated square of Alras stands a curious figure. Atop his head rests a lopsided tophat, and on his lanky and contorted frame is set a suit of fine silk. Those who take notice of him would come to realize that they did not see him approach, but did not see him there before. The man in the hat’s head would creak upwards, revealing a face of gaunt grey skin and hollow eyes. From it’s maw crawl all manner of bugs; spindly legs sliding over rotten teeth. It’s breath coming in putrid plumes of stagnant air, and it’s limbs jerking and groaning unnaturaly… The creature begins to dance a slow, gentle waltz on it’s own.” This event and others like it would be aimed to create passive entertainment, with the option of further interaction. This one in particular would be the work of a rather malicious illusionist somewhere nearby. Small hints would be given towards whom is conjuring this monstrosity, and if it was figured out, there may be some form of reward. If not, the figure’s attempts to gain attention would simply grow more ostentatious until the illusionist became frustrated or was distracted. These would take place as small, short events in populated areas and would grow in their severity and magnitude the longer the illusionist went without being caught or stopped. 20+ An Unprecedented Arrival “As the army marches onwards towards the battlefield, a great flash of light would be seen overhead, followed by a reverberating, echoing rumble. A storm sets in, thunder rumbling like the bellow of an Aengul and lightning flashing all around. The army marches onwards, eventually reaching the battlefield where their enemy stands opposite, prepared for war. As the generals take their places before their armies, prepared to give orders, a great bolt of lightning strikes the ground between the two. In it’s wake lays a crater which glows with an ethereal purple, the smoke that rises from it painting the air a dull blue. From the crater emerges a figure, standing tall and proud. No true form can be distinguished, or at least, it’s true form cannot be comprehended. The being slowly ascends from the crater, floating tantamount in the air above the battlefield. It’s presence demands the full attention of those around, inspiring an intense feeling of fear and respect in all present.” An event of this magnitude would be done with administrative permission, and perhaps oversight. The goal of this would be to create a spectacle; to introduce an important event character into the world in a way that they will be well-known. This character would likely be a sort of sub-antagonist or sub-protagonist, creating a storyline that spans many events and dungeons. I would, of course, have other ET members help me with this. How long do you plan to stay in the ET? As long as I feel motivated to make events and entertain players. I feel it’s safe to say that whatever the amount of time may be, it will be lengthy. If I had to give an estimate... Until it's removed, or the server blows up. If there was an ET afterlife, I'd probably stay part of that too. In all seriousness, my intention would be to stay with the team for as long as I am needed. Tell me what you want from the ET. Nothing. The ET, from what I have seen, does quite a good job.

    [Actor] Tantaparo's Application

Minecraft name: Tantaparo Skype ID: Emerald_Espa Time zone: Central Time (Midwest U.S.) Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: Nope! I’m a goodie-goodie. Do you hold any other staff positions? No :I What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? [updated] I currently play one real character, Amira Silverblade, who is now my main character. I also have my second persona just for occasional event 'monsters' that I use for events. I would not want to let go of Amira, but she does not take up a lot of time and I am constantly looking for something else to do! What race/group do you think your events would best cater to? My events wouldn’t necessarily cater to only one race or group, but with my strong knowledge of Oren, especially Abresi, I think my events would appeal to that area. I want to incorporate mind games (such as puzzles and mazes), of which any race could complete. To be completely honest, I’m not very familiar with other races as much as the humans, so I feel like I could perform best by treating to their culture and mentalities. Also, I would love to help out with the events in the proposed event forum section because they often just sit there. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? I think that there are three key factors to create a successful event! First, the players experiencing the event want to gain something from it, and not have it be pointless fighting or such. Whether this gain is an item or land (or even a loss of these), the player will take something away from the RP. Second, the leader of the event needs to provide a descriptive and visual roleplay experience. Through emotes and actual visual effects, the leader can almost make the RP feel real for those taking part. Lastly, the event just needs to make sure that everyone is having fun! Why do people roleplay in the first place? They do it because its fun and lets them act like someone who they can’t physically be in real life. Whenever RPing, people should always make sure that the parties are having fun, whether or not one side is losing. When was the last time you saw a event? The last time I was apart of an event was when me and MrGreene_HD recently RPed with merrymoogle who played a fortune teller and told us our futures, but allowed for us to make decisions as well. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? Tell us! I’ll be brutally honest, I’m not the best at lore. I’m not the greatest with the storyline of the server. However, what I excel at is creativity and a fun-environment. I like when people see my name and they think, “Entertaining!” or, “Friendly.” I am well-organized and great at planning. Accounting for possible error, I always think ahead of the game. Another trait that is found in me is my uniqueness. I take great pride in being different, and I like to embrace characters that aren’t that edgy, typical roleplay character. Instead of being a human or an Elf, I’d prefer to play a recently-animated plant or an animal. Since sometimes I can’t, I enjoy giving my characters odd disabilities, such as being a mute or algophobic (the fear of pain). Why do you want to be part of the ET? I’ve always loved pleasing other people, which I can do efficiently through the ET, and I haven’t been able to organize any RP around Abresi other than the same drama everyday. I think by joining the ET I can create fun experiences for both me and those in the community. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events that you would organize. 1) For one-3 person Ser Edward Hensman, a philanthropist and well-renowned noble, is looking to finally marry after forty-four virgin years of his life. Instead of a typical search for a woman, he wants something different: A set of trials of competition between his favorite women, whom seek his title and riches. Hosted on his own property, Edward watches over the various challenges. The unlucky women do not know what they are in for, since many of the trials are pure madness. ‘First to swallow a cow’s tail’ and ‘Who can lick her elboe first?’ are only two events of the madness. 2) For a group of 5-10 A building in Abresi falls over after being lit aflame from the rooftops! The fire is spreading, putting many innocent people in danger. Screams and shouts litter the night sky. A commanding officer in the Guard shouts, “We need volunteers to track down the arsonist!” However, a woman standing an alley calls out, “No, we need to stop the fire and save the people!” Players will need to decide whether to chase the villain or to save the people and the city. Will they cooperate? Will they be fast enough? 3) For a group of 20+ I actually already wrote an event that would fit this description: The Rise of the Rampant Growth (http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/95109-in-progress-the-rise-of-the-rampant-growth/) Too bad I never got to finish it, which I know is horrible for events. I had a family fallout emergency and I had to take a break (my apologies). How long do you plan to stay in the ET? I’d love to stay in the ET for awhile! Considering I am not serving on any other staff teams, I would be able to put a lot of effort and time into my work. I also plan to be extremely active in my events (while keeping them planned and prepared). Tell me what you want from the ET. I’d love to have the ability to add a new element to my RP through descriptive and visual abilities and player models. This would give everyone (both the players and I) an even more exciting and immersing chunk of roleplay to enjoy and appreciate. Overall, I hope to help out the community and create fun for everyone. Thank you so much for your consideration! I'm excited and hopeful. <3
  24. Aedan The Bard

    [Actor] Minnan1's Event Team Application

Minecraft name: Minnan1 or C421 C421 is an account that belonged to a friend of mine, who used to play on LotC, main mc name Silvex0. He asked me to use his alt character during a role-play situation to help him out. Many months later, I found myself in the need of an alt account, which I couldn’t afford at the time. My friend lent me said account, since he had stopped playing Minecraft altogether and quit the server a long time ago. After that, my friend told me I could keep the account. Since then, I’ve used C421 to play as Pumpkiness from time to time while ArianaTheGreat is taking care of her main character. It helps provide role-play, because Pumpkiness is essential to almost all of our characters life. If there is an inconvenience, please let me know and I’ll gladly correct it.;) Skype ID: jackthedude83 Time zone: UTC -8:00 Most of the time UTC During winter and summer vacation. For how long? It varies, really. Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: I have been banned, once. The reason was “powergaming magic” because I would heal the scars in the form of a brand that the mori would burn into people’s skin, back in Asulon. Native agreed it was a bit of a misunderstanding, as there were no guidelines to role-play magic back then, and thus it was extremely difficult to tell who was powergaming and who was not. Healing others would use up my character’s vital energy, and therefore eliminated all chance of having an unfair advantage over others. There was no report. Do you hold any other staff positions? I do not. What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member? My characters are Aedan, a wise bard and survivor of Aegis with a complicated past and a constantly overwhelming mind; Cymrych Douglas, a troubled young half-elf half-Adunian that finds himself alone in the world, forced to live long, and his background suggests he could be a demi-god (which is being worked on, fear not); and Pumpkiness, who by herself could become an Event Character. Pumpkiness had a twin brother named Pumpkineer and together they had a horrific past. They wore pumpkins on their heads and were general pranksters as well as a source of amusement for people in the Asulon Cloud Temple before moving to Ildon and sticking with the Adunians until Pumpkineer was executed. I am not quite willing to sacrifice Aedan nor Cymrych as both are not only almost like real people and are essential to an extent. Pumpkiness could become an event character, as I mentioned, for that would allow her to be role-played to her full potential. Cymrych might be capable of being an essential character for Adunian role-play, too, but I still do not think I should have to sacrifice any of my sexy characters in order to become an event team member, in the sense of having to dump them or leave them in mystery, which I would never forgive myself for doing. Though, my characters are kind of like events by themselves, so it’s not a big deal ;) I’m fine with sacrificing some of the time I have assigned for role-playing them if that is what is needed to provide fun for other people. I am reluctant to sacrificing the character as a whole, is what I am trying to say. What race/group do you think your events would best cater to? All races. I am kind of against the idea of choosing one specific group to make the event for, because role-play should be available everywhere, so everyone gets their share. However, if it is required for me to be specific, I would say minor groups: Adunians, Kharajyr, Goblins. They barely get anything interesting to do, ever, and this leads to the death of those groups, just like the Adunians in the past month. What do you believe are key factors for a successful event? First of all, to focus on the players. An event is meant to add to the server, to improve or create role-play in which the players can have a fun time, and enjoy it. An event in which players can take a break from conflict is a good example of this, for it allows them to experience something fresh, something enjoyable and calm, which will allow them to change the direction of the event through interactions in role-play, and end up being an event for the players. Another detail we must not forget, which I half-mentioned, is making events dynamic, getting rid of the script. To have an idea of how it begins and how it might end, but allow players to have almost full control of the situation, so they can actually influence and feel part of the event. Another factor is spontaneity. Usually, events are broadcasted, which opens doors for meta-gaming. Starting an event when people least expect it, in a situation suitable for it, is key to its success or failure. If you do an event and broadcast it, most people will abandon role-play to get to the location and participate, which is a terrible way of harming immersion and the evolution of role-play. Sure, they will enjoy the event, but they will also scatter and abandon the locations in which they were centered. Therefore, it is better to allow them to notice something is going on through role-play, in their vicinity, than broadcast it and let everyone know to get players to participate. That way, they can even tell other people of their great tale about a leprechaun popping out of a melon rather than have nothing to share because everyone knows what happened OOCly. If you ruin the surprise OOC, you ruin the surprise IC. Simple. Finally, creativity and charm. If an event is not original, it will be boring. An event which is original will be able to charm players, and get them involved. A beautiful background story, or even a reward, are factors which can determine whether or not they will like it. Players will participate, mold the event to their own needs, and eventually discover what was truly going on. Charming! Lovely! Enjoyable and fun. Eventually, they might be able to tell the tale to more and more people, becoming legend, and adding that magic which has been missing for a long time. Something new, fresh. No matter what some people think, creativity should not be limited. Allowing things like a gang of stinky ferrets to fly across Malinor will be fun, and magical. Again, new things are the key. When was the last time you saw a event? Not long ago, in the market place outside the cloud temple, an ethereal voice was speaking in my character’s mind, asking a riddle. Funny enough, the other player who I trusted to play as Pumpkiness when I was unable to, was able to answer it correctly and earned Blundermore’s Spyglass of sorts. What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing? Tell us! I consider myself good at organizing, and planning. One of the things I can provide is what quite a few people have been mentioning over and over regarding events. I would provide player driven events. I would organize an event, and even though I could be the protagonist, I would ask other players to join me, and participate in the organization of events, because they would have a more clear idea of what kind of event they wish to see. Perhaps I would be asked to hold an event, and I would gladly do so; provide fun and entertainment for players who request it. I consider it a way of enhancing their experience in a selfless way. From starting an event, and having the first players who notice become the protagonists, I would be able to become their guide and assistant, as they discover things on their own, without any form of ooc intervention. No broadcasts, nothing that can ruin the surprise. I would even use my normal characters, have them ask for a special item and the players could embark on a quest that would be thrilling, but also stunningly adventurous! The possibilities for that kind of events are endless. Players find ruins, and I might leave a small sign, one of the only if not the only situation in which I would use ooc, asking for them to send me a pm. That would trigger the event, but without a broadcast so it is something only those people experienced, and they can tell the tale to others, as I previously mentioned. Their discovery in the ruins might lead to other clues, eventually rewarding them with a great treasure. But hey, let us keep it fun and add a villain, trying to get to that treasure first! The best events are those which are not expected, and can also evolve through simple role-play. Why do you want to be part of the ET? I tend to plan role-play situations, kind of like mini-events, for friends without them knowing what is about to happen. I have that urge to surprise people with something out of the ordinary, and recently my plans have become so complex I find the need to apply for the event team to be able to play them to their full potential. Sometimes, friends ask me to antagonize in their adventure maps to add some extra immersion factor and fun, which I enjoy doing. I am not a kind of person who dislikes doing things for others. I consider being part of the E-Team as a form of service for the community, as well as a privilege, rather than an advantage over daily role-players or a special title. Therefore, I want to be part of the event team to be able to provide fun for other players. I wish to add to their daily role-play, and offer something fresh, new, out of common for them to enjoy. Create three distinct RP scenarios/events that you would organize. 1) For 1-3 person, 2) for a group of 5-10 and 3) for a group of 20+. I wrote three different scenarios for three different kinds of events I could organize, click the spoilers to read a small summary of what each of them consists of, and the purpose behind the event. Update: Re-arranged them respectively to each number of event mentioned in the format. 1) Reginald Puke-A-Bucket, Merchant Adventurer (Group/Continuous RP-Triggered Event): Reginald Puke-A-Bucket, also known as Elysium’s most enterprisingly unsuccessful entrepreneur, a 'merchant adventurer' in Anthos, is most famous for selling meat-based products to unsuspecting souls at the elven island settlement in Kalos. A short man of unknown origin, possibly elven due to his surprisingly long life, but perhaps something else at the same time, has arrived to the Cloud Temple of Anthos with a barrow full of intriguing merchandise. After adjusting his ridiculously tall hat (that he claims is the future of fashion, which, will one day spread across the land), he proceeds to offer his wonderful merchandise for the keen-eyed and the uncommonly ‘smart’ peasant or traveler, ‘fortunate’ enough to stumble upon this singular individual. However, if the daily customer or traveler accepts, he will offer a reasonable deal to anyone who provides him with rare, exquisite ingredients, and fresh merchandise. Who knows? Maybe this man has ambitions, which only the daring ones may learn! “Come! Come! Be the one and only to claim this wonderful offer! Two Meat Biscuits! TWO! For the price of ONE!” you hear as you approach the cloud temple. “Hurry! Hurry up before they are gone, just like this special offer!” The voice sounds slightly desperate, you get closer to find out what is going on. “Hurry up, DAMN IT! Th-” you hear instants before two brown muffin-like beings run past before your eyes. “THEY ARE ESCAPING!! DON’T YOU JUST STAND THERE, GET THEM!!” yells Reginald Puke-A-Bucket before chasing after the two escapees. 2) Archibald Humfrey Dudley Philomenus Waddledee, the Magnificent (Nation-Wide Event): Fliers and Posters of a strange looking man with a pointy worn hat are found spread across the land! You approach the crowd gathering around the closest flier, and as you are able to decipher the writings, you read.. “People of Anthos! Rejoice! The grand wizard of uncertainty has returned! Be excited! Your nation has been chosen to be the next one visited by Archibald Humfrey Dudley Philomenus Waddledee, the Magnificent! Tales and Legends he brings! Relics, bits and bobs he offers! Lessons to those interested in learning his ways he will gladly give out to the kind and the brave! Gather and count your minas! For by the end of this Elven month, you’ll end up wondering where they went!” Just as you finish reading and observing the drawing of the man’s face, you hear the chattering of the crowd gathering now behind you, by the gate, accompanied by the merry singing of an old friendly looking man; the man portrayed in the fliers himself! However, something about this wizard appears to be strange, unusual. Is it the worn patchwork robes he wears? Is it the ancient looking hat? Perhaps his wild but charming beard? Or could it be the fact his wagon is moving on its own? Without horses?!... You rub your eyes, thinking it must be an illusion, but to no avail. The man is in fact a wizard of uncertainty, and a magnificent one at that! 3) The Great Kingdom of Galyweth (Server-Wide Event): In the tall grass and sandstone of the Cloud Temple, orphan children begged for a home, for a family or even for a bit of food. These small children had to band together to survive. Among these dirty, young and undersized children rose their leader: Gale. Gale had a strong, demanding voice that drove the children to do what needed to get done. Those orphans would follow Gale's every command until they were adopted. But no one knew a thing about him. All they knew was that Gale was handsome, tall, swift and yet graceful; he had deep, green eyes and perfectly black hair. But no one adopted him. The children whom he 'ruled' over never dared to question Gale- or as his nickname was, "King"- until he decided on their new motive: The children were to start a kingdom. At first, it seemed impossible. How could a group of uneducated (for the most part), orphaned children run a kingdom? Then they remembered their King. Eventually, it was decided that Gale would rule over them with an iron fist but a warm heart. All of the children walked together until they found a brilliant mountain, far away from the chaos of Anthos, and settled there. They hollowed out the mountain until it was suitable for people of that size and number, and furnished it with scraps of things that they either begged for or bought with what small amount of money they could gather. A grand throne room was carved out for Gale, and some of the creative children made decorations as well as a stick-crown for him. And now they are ready to face the whole of Anthos. But the question is.. Who will listen to a bunch of kids? How long do you plan to stay in the ET? I plan to stay for as long as it remains fun and an addition to my experience and everyone else’s in lord of the craft, but I might consider taking a small break when more important matters take place, or leaving the moment it puts some of sanity at risk or I fail at achieving my goals as part of the team. I can handle stress pretty well if I take frequent breaks, though. No big deal. Tell me a joke: Why is a kilt called a kilt? Because a Scotsman kilt the last man who called it a skirt!
  25. Minecraft name: Patriotic_Fool Skype ID: acolytefright Timezone: GMT -7:00, PST Have you had any bans or strikes? If yes give a link: I can’t find them, sorry :( Why do you want to be a builder for the ET? I think my builds are really, really good. The server could use an excellent builder such as myself, and I think i could contribute wonderful builds for people to enjoy. What are some of your most treasured builds? (screenshots if possible): This is my most treasured build. I call it ‘Atlantis’, I think it really combines water with awe-inspiring architecture. I hope you guys like it too. Please provide screenshots of any medieval builds strictly you have built and a description of each: This build is called ‘Embertrail Village’. It is an accurate and well-done portrayal of a medieval town, and similar builds would look really good in Abresi and other places that have villages. Please provide an example of a decent sized ruin build (stone or otherwise): The following ruin has been named ‘Graywatch Castle’. It was once a large, sprawling fortress ruled by an evil bandit. The bandit was rich because he stole from all the nearby peasants, and he also killed many of them. After many years a clever peasant girl poisoned his coffee, and the evil bandit leader died. Many decades have passed, and the Castle has fallen into ruin, as you can see in the screenshots. Please provide an example of terraforming: The following screenshot is a testament to my terraforming skills. Upon first glance, you may wonder why I submitted such a beautiful, tranquil forest meadow for my terraforming entry. Do not let looks deceive you; this breathtaking forest was once a barren plain in the nether! Truly, if I can take the most inhospitable location, and create it into something beautiful, then I can terraform anything! Please provide an example of a organic build: This is my best organic build. I call it ‘The Mother Tree’. Nestled in an expansive forest, the Mother Tree is home to many elves and Druids. It furnishes life, providing a safe haven for many travelers and wanderers. I think the Druids would really like this build, and I know I could make more nature-centered builds in the future. Are you an independent builder, and are you capable of handling all aspects of a build? I am an independent builder, and I don’t need no man watchin’ me do my thang, or giving me help. I’m quite capable of completing all of my builds alone. Do you know much about redstone? Redstone is a block that you mine on the level where you get diamonds at. It allows you to place it on the ground, to look like blood, but it also has a secret use. You can use it to make glowing lights, like christmas lights, if you connect it to a redstone torch! How long does it take for you to complete a build? I pride myself on my stamina and capability of following through to complete a build. Most of my builds can be done within a day, but my special projects sometimes require up to a week, depending on how amazing they need to be. Tell us how you plan on constructing a large build, a medium build, and a small build. With a small build, I will take my given blocks and place them around the build that I am making. I might need chests to store the blocks, but for a small build it will be okay. For a medium build, I’ll take more blocks, and maybe get a GM to spawn me in a bunch of things so I have an easier time. For a large build, I will nag a GM to get creative, that way I can fly and spawn in my own blocks, and get the build done as quick and as nicely done as possible. Additional details (Do you know how to Voxel? World Edit? Etc...): No, but it can’t be that hard, right? I am a very quick learner, and I think I can learn how to use these programs. Tell me a trick about building (eg: floating torches, custom heads) This is a very unknown secret, but I will share it with all of you. If you place gravel down, and break a block underneath it, the gravel falls! Tell me what you want from the ET. I really want creative mode, because I think my builds are best when done with creative. I would get to make cool places for people to roleplay in, and I know this would bring me popularity, attention, and lots of fame in Lord of the Craft. I am confident that I will be an excellent addition to the event team, so please add me! Thank you ^_^
