Nilrei was born in Ker’nor of Axios. Due to the elven curse of infertility,  her parents had planned her birth years in advance. This gave her blacksmithing father sufficient time to create the sword that would be passed down to her after the completion of her basic swordplay training, and that she would continue to use through the majority of her life. Like most of her kind, Nilrei is a strong believer of the Ancestral Plane, but she does not believe in the creation theory of Malin and Velulaei
