    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is giving your character information that they would have no way of knowing— i.e. the connection that two characters they have never met are friends/related.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is exerting extreme control over other characters without their consent. For example, saying “John Smith stabs him with his rapier, killing him.” would be an example of powergaming.

Nilrei was born in Ker’nor of Axios. Due to the elven curse of infertility,  her parents had planned her birth years in advance. This gave her blacksmithing father sufficient time to create the sword that would be passed down to her after the completion of her basic swordplay training, and that she would continue to use through the majority of her life. Like most of her kind, Nilrei is a strong believer of the Ancestral Plane, but she does not believe in the creation theory of Malin and Velulaei. Expressing little interest in marriage, Nilrei focuses a majority of her time strictly into her longtime passions, and will often be negligent of new experiences. Feeling as if her limited exposure to unfamiliarity would hinder her ability to make good judgements in the future, her mother has asked of her that she leave her home city for a few years and take some time to explore the world. Though slightly irritated, Nilrei did not want to disrespect her mother, the eldest of her family. She now travels with no particular home of her own.

Physical Description: Her skin is gray with mild blue undertones, and her short hair white. A large scar is etched across her left eye. Her build is fairly muscular.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Hey there, your application is almost there, for the time being, it has been placed on,

For the following reasons,

  • First of all and most importantly, for your application to be accepted you need to read the rules which can be found here
  • Second of all the lore you’ve chosen does not fit your characters age, Nilrei was born in one of the cities of Ker’nor (I assume Axios) but we left Axios approximately 66 years ago please specify which continent’s Ker’nor you mean (I researched a bit and there was one briefly named Ker’nor in Atlas which we left approximately 3 years ago) . In order for you to correct/specify your lore please make sure you read on the following topics.
  • Your bio is great but I would appreciate you adding one more lore mention what happens to your character instead of your parents, this could be something religious or a creature you’ve found.
