Clan aen Divtilrun - “The Unbowed”
“Our talons are sharp.”

The Divtilrun are an ancient and reclusive seed tracing their roots back to the Beloun tribe in the Era of seeds. When the Beloun were forced from the homelands due to their overhunting of the boar within the region, Y’shara broke from the tribe with several of his like-minded brothers and sisters, and took to the desert, seeking a true challenge worthy of the great hunters. From there, they took up within the desert cliffs, near the ancient bands of uruk. To adapt to the harsh conditions of the desert- they allied with the falcons, who in turn helped them hunt in the desert. To cope with the constant threat of the uruk, they became masters of fear and intimidation, committing acts of terrible cruelty to warn the uruk to stay away.  After centuries of conflict, the tribe has deteriorated to a lone few, and many of the seed’s ancient practices and rites have been lost to history, buried beneath the sands. What is known is carried on by Am’belma Divtilrun- who seeks to revive the seed within the Gladewynni steppes, and anywhere that the mali’ame may roam.

History

The Divtilrun were once a part of the Beloun seed- a tribe renowned for its hunting prowess- and lived amongst their mali’ame kin within the homelands. However, when the Beloun seed were forced into exile from their homeland, Y’shara and his brood split, taking to the desert in order to seek a true challenge for the great hunters. These children of malin, led by the amber-eyed Y’shara Divtilrun, took up within the desert cliffs, calling it their home. Their first problem was quickly discovered. Food was scarce and water scarcer. In order to adapt to the harsh desert conditions, the cunning Y’shara made a pact with the falcons of the desert lands- becoming the first falconer, passing on his skills to his brothers and sisters. Their relationship to the falcons became fundamental for their survival, using the birds to scout ahead and hunt for the smaller game the desert held. Their symbiosis led to the seed’s survival through the harsh desert, and naturally led to their worship of Nemglan, the falcon mani of freedom and thunder.

For centuries the Divtilrun resisted Uruk subjugation and the other looming threat of humanity- especially at the height of the White Rose’s aggression, where many Mali were attacked and slaughtered. Being alone and outnumbered, the tribe had to find different ways to survive. Y’shara, cunning as ever, decided to adopt the adaptation of the beasts, taking intimidation to the extreme in order to avoid conflict, and displaying unmatched cruelty in battle- seeking to demoralize any enemy that may seek trouble with them. Several of their more ancient practices arose in their conflicts with the uruks- such as de-tusking, scalping, and the gruesome blood eagle ritual. They became a ghost story- moving in the shadows and attacking in the night, leaving fire and blood in their wake. And for a while, they did become ghosts- dwindling to minuscule numbers until they all but vanished into the desert dunes. That was the death of the ancient seed.

When Am’belma, a direct descendant of the seed, returned to what was left of the tribe looking for answers, he was greeted by a graveyard. His old seed was dead. From it, he salvaged what he could of the seed’s history and values, bringing his knowledge back to Irrinor to birth the modern day seed.

Clothing, Traits, and Illymuier 
The Divtilrun are traditionally darker skinned than many Mali- and usually possess amber colored eyes. Their hair is often black. The traditional dress for the Divtilrun is a black or amber colored cloth wrapped around the waist- and tend to leave their torsos exposed- following the wardancer tradition of exposing the body’s scars and scarified marks in order to display their strength to their kin.

When a seeker is fully inducted into the seed by completing their trials, they are marked with the seed’s tattoos or ilmyumier, which take on the shape of jagged black talons placed on the face beneath the eyes. These symbols, reminiscent of the ancient ilmyumier of the Beloun seed (Of which were jagged black spears), represent the talons of Nemglan. Alternatively- a seed member may take ritual scarification in place of their tattoos.

Core Values, Beliefs, and Traditions
Patron Mani: When on death’s door, Y’shara formed a pact with the desert falcons- which proved to be the tribes saving grace. The falcons are what kept the tribe alive through their keen eyes, and ability to cover great distances to search for prey. In return, Y’shara vowed his clan’s eternal devotion to the goddess of falcons, Nemglan. To this day, his children still worship and praise them, and many of the tribes customs revolve around it.

The Ritual of the Blood Eagle: This is one of the Divtilrun’s most notorious practices- begun by the clan’s progenitor, Y’shara. The custom involves ritualistically sacrificing the enemies of the clan to Nemglan- in a brutally cruel fashion. The sacrificed are tied to posts, and weighed down by chains- an already shameful act within the eyes of the Thunderbird. From there, a priest carves their back open, and pulls apart their ribs with hooks tied to the posts. This creates the shape of wings- a gruesome tribute to the winged goddess. From there, the heart is ripped from them- and eaten by those attending- as blood is thought to be the ultimate essence of life. These sacrifices are put on display around the camp- to be witnessed by those who would come seeking trouble. 

Fear: Much of a Divtilrun’s life revolves around the idea of fear. Be it overcoming it, or using it. Respect is given to those who face their fears, and do not let it control them. Members of the seed are shunned if they let fear control them, or prevent them from acting. A great deal of importance is placed on exploring and facing the very idea of fear itself, in order to use it as a tool. In ancient times, fear was a powerful weapon in the desert against the constant orcish threat, and kept the tribe safe. 

Freedom: Freedom is of the utmost importance to the Divtilrun. In their eyes, a life in chains is a life unworthy of living. To them, no man should rule over another- To bow or bend is to have your spirit broken- to “die” your first death- of which the Divtilrun believe you have three. The death of mind, spirit, and body. Additionally, Freedom’s importance stems from Nemglan, the mani of freedom. 

Storms: Following the tradition of Nemglan’s followers, the Divtilrun seed participates in the storm ritual- climbing up to high precipices to brave the storm close to its heart. There, they lay falcon feathers as a gift to the Falcon Princess. Then, they raise long, metal rods into the sky- decorated with bones and their blood, and dance with them whilst chanting the prayer to Nemglan. A test of faith and fearlessness. To remain unstruck is to hold favor with Nemglan, and those that descend from the mountains are said to be blessed by Nemglan.

Falconry: In the ancient days of the seed, Y’shara was faced with an obstacle. The desert is scarce- and prey is few and far between. Thusly, the clever Y’shara came up with a solution. He made a pact with the falcons of the desert, hunting together as one. This proved to save the seed from destruction. This tradition has been kept through the ages- strengthening the seed’s connection to Nemglan. Oftentimes, Divtilrun will bond strongly with the birds- To neglect or harm a falcon is disrespectful to Nemglan, and to the tribe, and your brothers and sisters will turn their backs to you for a time until you learn to care for them.

Home: Traditionally, Divtilrun have taken residence within their unique cliff-huts. Their position deters enemy attackers by restricting the available routes to strike from, adding to their natural defenses. Additionally, it has been said to be a constant test of fear- to be suspended hundreds of feet above the ground. A careless step could lead to your death. The Divtilrun walk a thin line always, to strengthen their resolve. 

Wardancing: The Divtilrun Wardancers are in a way, ambushing berserkers- travelling in small, cohesive packs, moving through hidden routes in order to surprise attack trespassers on elven lands. To other ame’, wardancers are wild and unpredictable fighters that excel in intimidation and guerilla tactics. Many wardancers forgo armor- in order to move quickly and silently. Instead- they decorate themselves with patterns and colors meant to disorient and intimidate their foes. Many wardancers would cover themselves with ashes and blood. Combining this with their war song-  a guttural, threatening chant.

Ritual Scarification: When a Divtilrun fights and kills another in combat, they mark it into their very skin to carry it with them. In some cases- scarification can serve as an alternative to the ilmyumier, if one wishes.

Yellow, Red, and Black: These three colors hold great significance within the Divtilrun. Yellow represents the sun, as well as the amber eyes that are commonly found in the tribe. Red represents blood- which has a dual meaning within the tribe. Blood is a common sacrifice to the aspects- as it is thought to be the true essence of life. Additionally, blood is meant to strike fear into the hearts of those that they fight against, and many members of the tribe decorate themselves with animal blood prior to leading raids. Finally, Black- thought to be a sacred color. It represents the primal feeling of fear, as well as the night itself, which was of utmost importance to the Divtilrun tribe, as they often traveled or fought in the moonlight.

Trials
The Trial of Blood - The first of the trials to join the Divtilrun; You must defeat a Divtilrun in order to join the tribe, or lead a successful raid on orcish soil. Combat training can be given if necessary. This ensures that the tribe does not weaken over time, as new members must always be as strong or stronger than older members. Completing this trial grants the aspirant the red mark.

The Trial of Thunder - Aspiring seekers and young mali coming of age are brought to the mountains to perform the ritual of the storm with their kin. This is typically a seed-wide affair, as even those who have been proven to have Nemglan’s favor still seek to renew her blessings in life. Before the storm, seed members feast and teach the new members the prayer of Nemglan- that they may chant alongside them in the heart of the storm. Completing this trial grants them the yellow mark.

The Trial of Fear - Fear is an inherent part of the Divtilrun, and aspirants must be comfortable with fear, in order to use it in the same way the rest of the seed does. Thusly, they are brought to ‘Face the Mirror’, where they are brought to a cavern- where they are made to ingest strong hallucinogens. These herbs induce strong visions, taking the shape of their greatest fears. They must confront their fears, and face them. They needn’t conquer them, however- but they must not bend to it. Making it through this trial with your mind intact will reward you with the black mark- the final mark necessary to be brought into the seed. From there, the Divtilrun ilmymuier is inlaid into the skin, and they are welcomed as “Unbroken”.

INTRODUCTION

The serious responsibility of the Motherland; her vast woodlands and towering mountain chains, the heart found in Lareh’thilln and the potent Provinces, falls on your shoulders, Sillumir. The philosophy, Larihei’s ancient creeds of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, guide us onwards, and the safekeeping of these values are imperative for the continuance of State and People. It is the Diarchy’s Silver Host- the Sillumiran, which make the Eternal Library retain her Eternal nature, and ensure our relevance and permanence in Arcas. Elsillumiran are the army in times of conflict, and the custodians of peace. Since the days of Larihei, these ‘thill have made the daunting decision to burden their lives with the blood they spill in battle. Though with newfound pride and confidence, with the last remnants of the old republic swept away, the Sillumiran march now straight in back, shoulder to shoulder.

THE BLESSED DIARCHY serve as Supreme Commanders, directing the Sillumiran efforts during both war and peace, battle and home. None may trump their order.

THE OKARIR’TIR, appointed by the Blessed Diarchy to organise and mobilise the Sillumiran in their place. The Okarir’tir promotes and demotes Sillumiran between ranks, ensuring that there is never a moment of chaos or anarchy in the organisation.

THE TILRUIR’TIRAN, always two, never more, never less, are responsible for elite units of the Sillumiran; the Vihai and the Diarchists. They serve as commanding officers and work with their units on a daily basis to complete missions and tasks granted to them by the Blessed Diarchy and the Okarir’tir. In the absence of the others above, the Tilruir’tiran lead the Sillumiran in battle.

THE TAHORRAN are officers of the Sillumiran, ensuring that the plans of high command are achieved. They lead training sessions and play part in promoting new Sillumiran to the elite units.

THE UNITS OF THE SILLUMIRAN

THE DIARCHISTS –

The first of the two Elite Units. The Champions of the Blessed Diarchy; Only the most ardent, stalwart and experienced defenders of the Silver State are entrusted with such responsibility. Their devotion to this bounden duty is reaffirmed through oaths, ceremonies and participation at summits and meetings everywhere the Diarchy travels.

THE VIHAI – 

The second of the two Elite Units. Protectors of Lareh’thilln and the vast woodlands and plains at her feet, the Vihai take upon themselves all more adverse missions required to keep order in our dominion. Similar to the hunter, or ranger, the Vihai move in smaller groups, on lighter feet, armed with the sharpest weapons available to the Mali’thill. As their name suggests, the victims of the extermination will hear no more than a whisper.

THE SILLUMIR –

Soldiers of the Silver State, the initiate and trained, enacting the Silver Law and orders of high command to defend the High Elven people and her Motherland. The Sillumir is to serve an active period of four years prior to being eligible for promotion to an elite unit of their choice. The Sillumiran may, in addition to their common duties, seek a specialisation. The current options are WALEHIR, the medics of the force, and LOGISTICIAN, who tend to the horses for the cavalry and other equipment the guard may require.

THE AUXILIARY – 

The loyal lesser descendents of the Motherland may serve in the Sillumiran as an auxiliary, aiding the guardforce in upholding Law and meeting victory in battle. Following long enough service, through blessing of the Okarir’tir, the Auxiliary may ascend to becoming a full-fledged Sillumir.

This class is a study of four lectures, in which you will learn and study the Silver Law. After the final lecture you will need to choose an exam subject. In this year you will examine your chosen subject well and make excursions to widen our view, so you can go on excursions to other nations to study their law, or participate in a trial within our Silver Walls. Once completed successfully you will receive your diploma and be able to juridically substantiate cases.

II: Medicine and Herbs

This class is a study of six lectures, in which you will learn and study the world of medicine. After the sixth lecture you will need to choose an exam subject. Following this you will examine your chosen subject well and make excursions to widen our view. So you can assist in our clinic, practise some medical procedures or go on herb excursions around the realm. Once completed successfully you will recieve your diploma and may call yourself a medic.

III: Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya

This class is a study of three lectures, in which you will learn and study our most important cultural element and examine its meaning. After the third lecture you will need to choose an exam subject. In this year you will examine your chosen subject well and make excursions to widen our view. So you can bring forth the worth of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya into other cities, speech at events or discuss the subject with the Sohaer. Once completed successfully you will recieve your diploma and may call yourself an expert in Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya.

IV: Chemistry/Physics

This class is a study of five lectures, in which you will learn and study the wonderful world of science. After the final lecture you will need to choose a exam subject. Following tihs you will examine your chosen subject well and make excursions to widen your view. Whether it is research in the Eternal Laboratories, or a study of gravity or searching for rare materials over the realm. Once completed successfully you will receive your diploma and be able to understand and experiment with the laws of physics and stir up greatness using chemistry.

V: Primary school program

This class is a study of four lectures, in which our younger citizens can learn some basics of our Eternal knowledge. There will be excursions together with the Uhieran to widen their view and help them become model citizens. Once completed successfully you will receive your diploma and be able to enroll in further classes to develop yourself.

VI: Elven language

This class is a study of three lectures, in which you will learn and study our tongue. Following the lectures you will need to take an exam. In between you will examine the exam subject well and make excursions to widen your view. The exam subject of this class is always the same and so can not be chosen. Once completed successfully you will recieve your diploma and be able to speak in Elven, provided one studies their vocabulary enough in their own time.

Once we have a good tell of our attendees, there will be an announcement assigning our expeditioners to groups. Each will be assigned a naelunir and, hopefully, someone who has already visited or lived in Athera. There will be a form to be filed whenever a group member makes a discovery and points awarded accordingly. Upon returning to Lareh’thilln, there will be a distribution of certificates and prizes to congratulate recognised efforts.

HEALTH EXAMS

Before any departures to Athera, those intending to sail will be checked for pre-existing conditions and medical needs. This is to ensure no one in ill-health is separated from adequate State care. Please await an announcement for the intended date this’ll occur.

WITH THE LONG AWAITED INAUGURATION OF THE ETERNAL COLLEGE— We, the Mali’thill of Haelun’or welcome thee, prosperous and hopeful alumni to witness the grand celebration, as we henceforth encourage and manifest maehr’sae hiylun’ehya truthfully upon the ever-evolving Bastion Of Knowledge. The Eternal College’s commemorations will develop dusk-to-dawn for an incredible duration of three (3) days. 

COME ONE, COME ALL— We await the presence of not ONLY the Mali’thill and Mali’aheral that reside within the walls of this blessed Silver State, BUT also allied Nations and their citizens as we exceptionally raise our gates to those whom wish to witness such grandiose efforts towards progress, knowledge, purity and health. 

WE URGE YOU STAY AND EXPLORE EACH DAY— Throughout the duration of the festival, the campus grounds will be available to explore. Various stalls are set-up within the building and surrounding areas where festival-goers can intermingle with the College professors at their leisure, while they await the formal TRIAL LESSONS, which will be held bi-daily in the college's amphitheater.

We, Mali’thill and otherwise, conclude this grand inaugural-festival with a multitude of activities and a marvelous display of the very essence that encompasses the Citadel and its citizenry. Marailer and Guidance Counselor, Adeline will be leading the Illumiran Order in an extravagant and interactive opportunity to understand the Voidal abyss.

Once we have completed all activities scheduled, we proceed to the Citadel where the Silver Council offers an abundant banquet to all visitors— varying cuisine and meals prepared in the State’s most-advanced kitchens presented to all visitors, Mali’thill or otherwise.

Through this study we ensure that their legacy and vision for Haelun’or is never lost.

Pre-requisites

I – Must be a resident of the Silver State of Haelun’or, with proof of residence. For oem’iian under the age of 50, they must present parent guardian approval in the form of a signature on your application.

II – Must attend the Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya Assembly, and present their Certificate of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya to the Guidance Counsellor. Mali’aheral of all ages MUST get this certificate. These are the core concepts of Haelun’or civilization and must be followed on school grounds. These assemblies will occur once or twice per month, and you may request private tutoring as well.

III – Lesser Transfer Students will only be allowed in on a SPECIAL recommendation from any Okariran or Laurir available. The Okariran and Laurir will be asked to write a letter of recommendation for the student. They must also fulfill all other requirements, and also provide proof of residence in other nations they came from.

Expectations

I – Retaining respect and common sense within the walls of the Eternal College, understand that under any circumstance that you cause trouble you will be rightfully punished.

II – All students must be vigilant and take it upon themselves to pursue an award in any profession or career they desire. Meaning, setting up appointments with the Guidance Counsellor is imperative to choose what classes you need.

III – Attending all required Public Assemblies, not doing so will affect your attendance records and your admission ticket.

IV – Ensuring that at the bare minimum you complete all the core requisites for the Eternal College.

V – Completing 2 extra classes for your certification, including attending those lectures and completing the required assignments.

VI – Attending the final exam for your certification, and graduating from the Eternal College.

I –  Immediate access to the Eternal Library and College facilities with no requirements other than having your student ticket. 

II – The ability to gain a fair education within the Blessed Silver City, and use your newly gained knowledge for your preferred profession and career path.

The Eternal College – Rule Book

as published on the 6^th  of the grand harvest, 1757

A large document containing, and highlighting, important information for the Eternal College was placed on display for aspiring individuals to read.

Attendance Policy

 I – Public Assemblies

 A - Public assemblies are mandatory gatherings that require student and professor attendance. They are used to announce important information for the Eternal College, and future updates with class schedules for the Elven Month.

B – Students will be given the class schedules for the following Elven Month Semester, students who fail to attend will need to retrieve copies elsewhere.

C – Attendance is accounted for and given a grade, however, you will be given a pass under extraordinary circumstances. [Family death, emergencies, etc.]

D – Failure to attend a Public Assembly will result in a written letter to your home, to ask for an update of whatever emergency you needed to attend to. Not responding, will lead to suspension.

II – Activity Check

A – Every Elven Month the Eternal College sends out ‘Activity’ letters to students who have not attended a single class. Students must respond via a letter, or audience with the Guidance Counsellor.

B – Failure to respond to an Activity Check will result in immediate Expulsion. Option to return to the College will be left open, as long as they re-submit their form. Old Letters of Recommendation will be invalid, and you will need a new one.

III – Lecture Attendance

A - Every Elven Month, you must take at least ONE lecture of your core major. By the end of the month, if you are seen not taking classes you will be sent an activity check.

B – Certain subjects will require written attendance from the professor. Based on your finished assignment, you will be given a letter grade. Note, if you are not on the attendance you will not be counted for the class.

You are not required to take every single available class in Elven Month, instead focus on taking the classes the Guidance Counsellor delegates.

IV – Magic Practitioners

A – Mages will be required to submit their current apprentice list to the Okarir’maehr for archival purposes, but they have the most freedom when it comes to teaching their students.

Eternal Rules and Punishments for Students

Punishments are dictated and resolved by the Board of Scholars and the Okarir’maehr. Manual Labor, Suspension, Expulsion, and Banishment are all possible punishments the school can execute. Some matters will call for a trial to determine the severity of their crimes or offenses.

 I – Common Sense - All individuals regardless of descendent origin are required to retain a professional and pure attitude within the college. 

Punishments will be executed for the following offenses:

A – Demonstrating yourself with ill intent, in ways that are explicitly vile and scandalous. 

B – Acting in a poor manner, causing internal conflict, and/or starting fights will cause immediate expulsion.

C – Vandalising school property regardless of enrolment status in the Eternal College.

D – Acting against the Silver State Laws in any way will be seen as inept individuals, and not trusted on school grounds.

II – Academics - All individuals are required to respect all material and knowledge offered by the Eternal College, especially their Nealuir.

Punishments will be executed for the following offenses:

A – All material offered by the professor or Eternal College is to be respected and cared for. Broken, misplaced, or lost items will be requiring a fine to replace the items.

B – Signing up for a Final Exam and not attending is a clear show that you are not ready in maturity to continue. 

C – This includes tampering with in-class materials in any way or attempting to get in the way of another student’s work in an attempt to sabotage them.

D – Voidal Magic apprentices abusing the knowledge given by the Mages of the Eternal College will be punished immediately. 

III – Plagiarism - All individuals are required to write texts and complete exams to demonstrate THEIR knowledge, not another person’s knowledge. Plagiarising material will only hurt the student more than any of the staff.

Punishments will be executed for the following offenses:

A – Turning in assignments and using source material, without any credit given to the source. 

B – Using another student’s answers during an exam, with exam papers being almost carbon copies of each other.

C – Attempting to alter school property and archival information in order to benefit yourself, or others.

D – Taking advantage of Nealuir resources and claiming their texts as your own.

Eternal Rules and Punishments for Nealuir

Punishments are dictated and resolved by the Board of Scholars and the Okarir’maehr. Nealuir can be expelled from their position at any time. 

IV – Common Sense - All individuals regardless of descendent origin are required to retain a professional and pure attitude within the college. Nealuir will follow the same common-sense policies as the students.

V – Academics - Nealuir are encouraged to arrange their lectures by using plenty of resources from the Eternal Library. Nealuir will also follow the student rules, along with a couple of more.

Punishments will also be executed for the following offenses:

A – Forging documents and information especially about your class to benefit yourself, or your students.

B – Professor lectures are subpar and incomplete to a point where students don’t learn a thing.

C – General inactivity from a mage or professor to teach their students without prior notice. Asking assistant professors to help teach instead is fine, but this is exclusively for Professors.

D – As a mage, claiming to be able to pass on magic to students even though they are not eligible to pass down the voidal magic. Voidal Magic practitioners are allowed to do short lecture classes on their craft but are not allowed to literally ‘teach’ the magic to apprentices. 

VI – Plagiarism - Naeluir follow the same circumstances as Students, and are not allowed to craft lectures + exams without properly crediting their sources. If the source is what they have learned throughout their own studies, it is best to mention such.

War rages upon Arcas as never before, children murdered and nations collapsing as Larihei watches over our blessed bastion. Threats grow, and so do the armies of our foul enemies. The Silver Hill is to be protected and Larihei alone won’t do our defence justice. Our citizenry upon the silver hill are to be educated in the ways of magic, for they must protect what holds them so dearly.

The Eternal College and The Ilumiran Order, under The Silver State of Haelun’or have on this day come together bearing a promising future and have formulated fair terms upon which the foundation of an enduring age of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. A collaboration which aspires to serve as an example for stability, prosperity and health in a realm so war-ridden.

[ I ]  The Eternal College and The Ilumiran Order celebrate this partnership with the utmost respect and are sworn to aid each other in the aspects required by this missive.

[ II ]  The Eternal College will grant all members of The Ilumiran Order full and undisclosed access to The Eternal Library, under the conditions required by this missive.

The Oathblades

The Honour Guard of Aegrothond

= A Brief History =

The earliest definitive historical record of the Oathblades occurs in the last years of Eleron Sylvaeri, during the decay and dissolution of the venerable Princedom of Malinor. Led by the late Prince’s brother, Cyndaer, the last vestiges of the Lumidrim formed a small battalion in the interest of defending the Crown from the Conclave of Malin- a militarist cult under Darius Denurem and Kalameet Izalith. The company was therefore the first contemporary knightly order established in the Almenodrin tradition. It did not survive the Atheran schisms or Haelun’orian rule, and came to an ignominious end when Eleron was burned at the stake circa 1450.

Both Cyndaer’s efforts and the modern Oathblade comradery were primarily based on the mythic Company of Edrahil, whose legendary exploits are told in the Lay of Aegrothond; in it, the legendary Lord gathers a host of Almenorean Elves to his banner and goes forth to slay a dragon. These knights, bearing the red pennants of Prince Aegnor and old Aegrothond, were gathered from Edrahil’s inner circle of friends and relations. Clad in rich armour, and girt around with enchantments and powerful natural magic, their exploits are known to most Almenodrin children.

 In simplest terms, therefore, the Oathblades are ennobled Elves who act as guards and companions for the Lords of the Almenodrim. Some through service become Lords themselves, while others take up positions of great honour in the governance of Aegrothond- in any case, they are held in high esteem by the Elves of the Isles. It is somewhat accurate to compare them to Mannish knights.

It follows, therefore, that the Oathblades are not joined out-of-hand; unlike the militaries of other Elven nations, the Company does not endeavor to grow large in number by accepting copious amounts of raw recruits. More worth and interest is placed in the development of individual Oathblades than in the accession of new ones. Correspondingly, each individual possesses weaponry and training not held by most Elvish soldiers- of which more later.

= Accession and Oathing =

To become an Oathblade, one must understand the creed and tenets of Aegrothond as well as the history of Elvendom from the days of Malin to the present time. One must be able to ride on horseback and sail, as well as be proficient in the use of the spear and sword. The Oathblades fight monsters as often as they fight Descendants, and they must be prepared for these battles through knowledge of specialized techniques and equipment.

The first step towards accession into the Oathblades is by locating one, for only by obtaining the nomination of an Oathblade can one be inducted into the order. Once such a bond is formed, the Elf is given the rank of Aspirant and accompanies the Oathblades in all that they do. Tasks and matters to attend are given out, and an Aspirant’s performance in these will decide how swiftly they are Oathed.

Unlike many military organizations, the Oathblades consist of only two ranks- once an Aspirant is deemed worthy by the circle of existing knights, he or she is brought before the collective to speak in favour of their candidacy for accession. If the applicant is accepted, the Oathing process from which the order takes its name can begin. There is a great amount of secrecy surrounding the actual knighting of Oathblades, due to the small and insular nature of the organization. Blood plays a part, as does the eponymous Oath, which is sworn to Aegrothond and the Crown of Elvenesse. The words of the Oath are adapted from the old Almenodrin traditions preserved by the House of Sylvaen.

“And Edrahil vowed then to Aegnor his brother, to fear neither death nor torture most cruel, in pursuit of the glory of ages. He swore to uphold his banner, and that of their father the Everflame, in contempt of strife and danger; these words he spoke, and many more, such that Aegnor the Prince of Aegrothond was moved to shed a tear. But Edrahil did not weep, for he knew that there was no fate greater or more virtuous, than death in the service of one’s family.”  -Excerpt from the Tale of Aegnor, Lay of Aegrothond II.

The vow of an Oathblade is considered to be valid until death, and those who break it in treason are held accountable. Unlike other criminals of Aegrothond, the knights are considered for purposes of punishment to be members and banner-bearers of the Princely House- they are therefore eligible to have their name cloven, which is a fate worse than death.

= Marks of an Oathblade =

The Oathblade’s primary non-combat badge of office is a bolt of crimson fabric, embroidered with the devices of the House of Sylvaen: the Seven Stars of the Mariner, placed in a semi-circle about the Crown of Malinor. This is worn traditionally as a sash upon the belt or across the shoulder, in times of peace or alternatively when armour would be unwieldy or inappropriate. It symbolizes loyalty foremost to Aegrothond, and is granted by the Princes upon Oathing.

A second badge of office is one which the Oathblade typically assists in creating- namely, his weapon and armour. Due to the Almenodrin focus on smithing as a sacred art, the weapon of an Oathblade takes a great deal of time to make- of high-quality steel or other rich material, and carved with letters of power which elevate it far above a regular weapon. After the weapon is made and employed in the Oathing process, work begins on the knight’s armour, which can take many years. Each piece is forged of specialized material, and rendered to commemorate great deeds. By virtue of this and the often empowered nature of the armour, a veteran Oathblade’s kit tends to be near-priceless in value.

Title I: On Torts and Delicts

Article 1. When a defendant intends to cause apprehension of harmful or offensive conduct, and the act caused apprehension in the victim that harmful or offensive contact would occur, the defendant will be liable for assault. 

Article 2. When a defendant comes into contact with another with intent to be offensive or harmful and the contact is offensive or harmful, the defendant shall be liable for battery. 

Article 3. If a defendant unjustifiably acts intentionally to confine someone without their consent for any amount of time, and the victim is aware of their confinement, the defendant shall be liable for false imprisonment. 

Article 4. When a defendant intentionally interferes with the sole rights of the plaintiff’s property through unlawful possession of the personal property in question and causes damage to the plaintiff, the defendant shall be liable for conversion. 

Article 5. When a defendant intentionally gives a statement of fact with knowledge of the statement being false, an intention to deceive and the plaintiff is injured, the defendant shall be liable for fraud.

Article 6. When a defendant intentionally enters a piece of land privately owned by a citizen of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, and in some way interferes with the plaintiff’s sole right to use the property, the defendant shall be liable for trespass. 

Article 7. When a defendant gives a statement of purported fact to a third party, whether in writing or through speech, that is false and damages the reputation of the plaintiff, the defendant shall be liable for defamation. 

Article 8. When a defendant intrudes upon the plaintiff’s right to privacy, and the intrusion is objectionable, the defendant shall be liable for invasion of privacy. 

Article 9. When a defendant releases information that is reasonably private, extremely offensive to the average person and is of no actual concern to the public, the defendant shall be liable for public disclosure of private fact. 

Article 10. When a defendant is found liable for a tort or delict under title I, the magistrate shall prescribe a remedy to the offense at their own discretion. 

Title II: On Criminal Offenses

Article 1. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, willfully sets fire to any building, structure, structural aids, or vessels, shall be guilty of the crime of arson, a felony. 

Article 2. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, intends to cause apprehension of harmful or offensive conduct, and the act caused apprehension in the victim that harmful or offensive contact would occur, the defendant will be guilty of the crime of simple assault, a misdemeanor. 

Article 2.1. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, forcibly assaults, or otherwise opposes, impedes, or intimidates any person duly designated by the High Magistrate’s office shall be guilty of the crime of assault through resistance, a felony. 

Article 3. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, uses threat or action to reasonably place another person in fear of imminent serious bodily injury, shall be guilty of the crime of menacing, a misdemeanor. 

Article 4. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, unlawfully seizes, confines, or abducts any person shall be guilty of the crime of kidnapping, a felony. 

Article 4.1. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, kidnaps or detains and threatens to kill or injure another person in order to compel the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn to do or abstain from anything shall be guilty of the crime of hostage-taking, a capital offense. 

Article 5. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, induces a Mali below the age of fifty to perform sexual actions, have an immoral relationship, perform socially rejected practices shall be guilty of the crime of child abuse, a felony. 

Article 6. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, levies war against the Kingdom or adheres to the enemies of the Kingdom is guilty of the crime of treason, a capital offense.

Article 6.1. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, conspires to overthrow, put down, or destroy the reigning government shall be guilty of the crime of sedition, a capital offense. 

Article 6.2. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, enlists or engages in combat against the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn shall be guilty of the crime of treason, a capital offense. 

Article 7. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, directly or indirectly, gives, offers, or promises anything of value to a member of the Council or the Assembly to influence any official act shall be guilty of the crime of bribery, a misdemeanor. 

Article 8. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, gives a statement of fact with knowledge of the statement being false, an intention to deceive and the plaintiff is injured, the defendant shall be guilty of the crime of fraud, a felony.

Article 9. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn,  enters a piece of land reasonably known to be restricted shall be guilty of the crime of trespassing, a misdemeanor. 

Article 9.1.  Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, uses any degree of force to trespass shall be guilty of the crime of breaking and entering, a felony. 

Article 10. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, unlawfully kills another citizen of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn with intent to do so shall be guilty of the crime of murder, a capital offense. 

Article 10.1 Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, unlawfully kills another citizen of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn without intent to do so shall be guilty of the crime of manslaughter, a felony. 

Article 11. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, robs another of any kind of personal property shall be guilty of the crime of robbery, a felony.

Article 11.1 Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, robs or defrauds the Kingdom of Renelia Gladewynn of any national property shall be guilty of the crime of robbery to the state, a capital offense. 

Title III: On Inchoate Offenses

Article 1. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, knowingly signals intent to commit a crime shall be guilty of the crime of conspiracy, a misdemeanor.

Article 2. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, intentionally incites or encourages another into committing a crime, this shall be the crime of incitement, a misdemeanor.

Article 3. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, actively attempts but fails to commit a crime, the individual is guilty of attempting the crime with an equal punishment to that of the crime. 

Title IV: On Offenses to the Faith

Article 1. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, denies the existence of Luara shall be guilty of atheism, an offense to the faith. 

Article 2. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, worships another god than Luara shall be guilty of heresy, an offense to the faith. 

Article 2.1. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, worships a spirit deemed as a ‘dark spirit’ by those within the Concordat shall be guilty of heresy, an offense to the faith.

Article 3. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, practices, possesses or obtains any magic derived from a god other than Luara shall be guilty of term, an offense to the faith. 

Article 4. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, practices, possesses or obtains any dark magics shall be guilty of witchery, an offense to the faith. 

Article 5. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, intentionally converts or incites another to convert to a faith other than Kerviranism shall be guilty of proselytization, an offense to the faith. 

Article 6. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, intentionally defaces or vandalizes any item or symbol of religious significance to Kerviranism shall be guilty of sacrilege, an offense to the faith. 

Article 7. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, breeds with another of a different subrace or race shall be guilty of crossbreeding, an offense to the faith.

Article 8. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, breeds with a member of their direct family shall be guilty of incest, an offense to the faith. 

Article 9. Whoever, within the territorial jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, engages in infidelity with another than his or her marital partner shall be guilty of infidelity, an offense to the faith. 

Title V: On Criminal Punishments

Article 1. Misdemeanors are the least severe criminal punishment. Suitable punishments involve a fine of 500 minae, removal of a hand, branding of a 1x1 inch symbol on the forehead denoting a misdemeanor, or any punishment of equal or lesser magnitude at the discretion of the presiding magistrate.

Article 2. Felonies are the second most severe criminal punishment. Suitable punishments involve a fine of 2000 minae, removal of a whole arm, branding of a 5x5 inch symbol upon the face denoting a felony, death by hanging, or any punishment of equal or lesser magnitude at the discretion of the presiding magistrate.

Article 3. Capital Offenses are the most severe criminal punishment only available to the High Magistrate’s Office, or a magistrate duly appointed by the High Magistrate’s office. The only suitable punishment is death in a matter decided by the High Magistrate. 

Article 4. Offenses to the Faith are special offenses that are to be kept secret within the confines of the Concordat and left to their discretion.

The realm of Cernunnos and Cerridwen on Arcas will be protected at all costs, as will its people. A century of division followed the fracturing of the Dominion of Malin, and along with it came weakness, slavery and death for the Mali folk, as they were taken advantage of by hostile forces in ways akin to the horrors of centuries past. Now, at the dawn of the eighteenth century, another centre of ‘ame, Alder and their wild kin rises. The worshippers of Moccus and Morea, Amaethon and Kwakwani, Nemglan, Hamatsa and more will take up the spear and the sword to defend their new home. The Forest Guard will defend its forest, and Irrinor which lay within its embrace.

The Annilir is the supreme commander of all military elements in Irrinor, and is a great leader and warrior appointed by the High Chieftain in order to run the brave warrior bands of the Irrinite realm.

They are expected to uphold the values of strength, valor, and professionalism in their position, as they are the influence of the lower rankings. They are expected to know how to run trainings, scouting patrols, and event defenses.The Haleriran are the hands of the Annilir in issues both internal and external.

‣ Illerir - One who gives

Serving as the elite vanguard of the Okarn’ame, Illeriran are hand-picked from the Siramiran for exemplary service and courageous action in the face of danger. They are expected to lead patrols and handle the day-to-day of protecting the realm.

‣ Siramir - One who is honourable

The bulk of the Okarn’ame. The Siramiran serve as the core soldiery of Irrinor. These are the foot soldiers, guards, archers, and watchmen of Irrinor’s military.

‣ Sanir - One who speaks

‣ Walehir - Field Medic

Every military needs medical expertise with them for whatever situation that may come. The Walehir are medics or aspiring medics being trained within the clinic to assist the Forest Guard on and off the field, further ensuring the survival of the fighting soldiers. These field medics typically serve as a support force rather than the vanguard, and are identified by an aqua blue and white band upon their left arm. They report to the Head Clinician as well as their ranking officers within the guard.

Throughout history, the Descendants of Malin have suffered persecution and subjugation at the hands of other races whose talents in the arts of war have been more expertly honed. Therefore, it is necessary that Mali the world over become at least partially competent in the use of weaponry. However, it is easy to see from the outside that war is not the main focus of our race, and it is therefore the responsibility of those few dedicated warrior-kind in ‘ame society to become an elite, able to protect the interests of the Mali’ame against any threat that might rise against it. It is also known that such warriors often feel alone in a society packed with those who despise violence, and therefore a gathering of such warriors is necessary. Kinship, training and ritual will bring a combatant’s skills up to the greatest possible extent and bring them into contact with Great Cernunnos and the martial Mani spirits.

The Lodge is no organised, hierarchical armed force of Irrinor in the same vein as the Forest Guard. Instead, it is an open institution which any budding warrior is warmly embraced in if they wish to improve their fighting skills, however poor they are at the present time. Should they have the soul of Cernunnos and the drive to improve in combat, all are welcome to join, learn and fight. 

Even individuals who are not worshippers of the aspects may associate with the Lodge, but must undertake all of their duels within the lands of Irrinor, so that the authenticity of the combat may be witnessed. The Circle itself has its home in Irrinor, and it is here that members gather in order to conduct rituals and learn the martial arts.

It is usual for student and teacher to bond and for the student to only have one mentor, however that is not any kind of fixed rule, and an aspiring warrior can approach any tutor for training in the weapons they are adept in. 

The current swordsmasters of the Lodge – those who organise the institution, are Avius Csarathaire and Therren Caerme’onn. Contact them to be inducted.

Competition in the depths of true combat with sword, spear or axe is the healthiest means by which a warrior might improve their skills. To that end, The Lodge’s ranking system lists all members of the Lodge from most martially adept to least. By challenging comrades of the lodge to single combat and reigning victorious in that duel, one can advance up the ranks and be recognised as a greater combatant in the ranks of the Lodge. 

The greatest three warriors in The Lodge, for example, are given the designations brothers I, II and III respectively, descending through the numbers until the final comrade of the order. Any brother of the Lodge  may challenge any other brother to assume their rank, however there is an exception in that any brother who is more than two ranks in difference than the challenger can decline a challenge, any brother who is less than two ranks cannot decline a challenge without losing their rank. So, rank 1 can decline a challenge from rank 4 without losing their position, whereas he must accept a duel if challenged by rank 3.

If challenged and within two ranks you must set a time for a duel within 3 elven days or accept the duel immediately. Such battles must take place in the lands of Irrinor -usually its arena.  OOC: If agreement can’t be reached on the mode of combat to be fought, the person being challenged chooses. E.g. A PvPer challenges an RPer, so the RPer can force RP combat.

Much like any other worshipper of Cernunnos and Cerridwen in this world, but moreso, warriors must have a strong connection to their gods in order to tolerate the often unpleasant emotions and states of mind that combat can engender. The ways in which this can be done are limitless, but a group of Lodge Brothers might go out into the wilds for a hunt, in order to emulate the deeds of the Great Hunter. Two comrades with an unresolved grievance might call upon the Mani to watch over a sacred bout in order to resolve the issue in glorious combat or, in a contrasting manner, a single brother may meditate in order to gain a clear mind and a more unrestricted connection with the gods. 

Experts in combat and novices alike are encouraged to come, learn and worship the gods through martial prowess. Any who express interest my do so by contacting the Prince or coming to Irrinor.

In the Withering Republics of Atlas; the impotent Sohaerate and the inefficient Oligarchy, scholars came to seek alternatives. It was first in the ruins of our Oasis of Silver where we found our philosophy anew; in the restored Silver Enclave of Fi’halen. 

To ensure the continuance of a functioning and stable Silver State, and to correct the corruptive and degenerative nature of former structures, a new rule of law, with statutes to uphold and protect. A system developed over half a century which has proven its potency and power in practical tests alone, now to be assembled in this document. Be it to clarify for the current Blessed Populous, or to be an example for future generations far after our time.

ARTICLE 1.   The Silver State of Haelun’or is the state of the High Elves.

ARTICLE 2.   The Blessed Diarchy and her Silver Council, which founded The Silver Enclave of Fi’halen and led the High Elven people towards re-enlightenment, constitute the pure political foundation of The Silver State of Haelun’or.
 

ARTICLE 3.   The High Elven people is free and sovereign, represented by her Blessed Diarchy.

ARTICLE 4.   The principle of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya and Larihei’s teachings, as firmly established, constitute the pure cultural, social and economical foundation of The Silver State of Haelun’or.

ARTICLE 5.   Work is a matter of duty, therefore all able-bodied High Elves contribute to The Silver State of Haelun’or.

ARTICLE 11.   The Blessed Diarchy is the highest cultural and administrative authority in The Silver State of Haelun’or.

ARTICLE 12.   The Decisions and Missives of The Blessed Diarchy are binding in the entirety of The Silver State of Haelun’or.

ARTICLE 13.   The Maheral:

a)   Serves as the enlightening Blessed Diarch, guiding the High Elves along the ancient principle of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya.

b)   Ensures that the Sohaer and the Silver Council execute their orders in nothing but in the true spirit of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya.

c)   Serves as the highest authority of all High Elves, always, for they are the most pure.

d)   Serves as Supreme Commander of the Sillumiran.

e)   Coordinates and directs the effort of The Council of Patriarchs and Matriarchs; Elheial’laurir.

f)   Promotes and demotes High Elven bloodlines in pursuance of The Talonnii Act of 1717.

g)  Acts as Head of State for all Provinces under the protection of The Silver State of Haelun’or.

ARTICLE 14.   The Sohaer:

a)   Serves as the administrative Blessed Diarchy, managing the Silver Council in pursuance of constitution and law, along the ancient principle of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya.

b)   Serves as Supreme Commander of the Sillumiran.

c)   Coordinates and directs the effort of The Silver Council; Elheial’thilln.

d)   Serves as chair for the meetings and sittings of The Silver Council; Elheial’thilln.

e)   Appoints and removes Okariran to maintain a full and functioning Silver Council.

f)   Coordinates and directs the diplomatic and military undertakings of The Silver State of Haelun’or.

g)   Forms Committees and Emergency Councils for matters concerning war and diplomacy or development of the State socially or economically.

h)   Ratifies treaties.

i)   Proclaims a state of war, should The Silver State of Haelun’or come under attacked by foreign power, or necessary in pursuance of our international treaties concerning collective defense in response to aggression.

j)   Proclaims martial law, also called Diraar, for the purpose of ensuring public health.

ARTICLE 15.   The Silver Council, Elheial’thilln, is the legislative and executive body of The Silver State of Haelun’or.

ARTICLE 16.   The Decisions and Missives of The Silver Council, Elheial’thilln, are binding in the entirety of The Silver State of Haelun’or, unless contradicted by a Decision or Missive of The Blessed Diarchy.

ARTICLE 17.   The Silver Council, Elheial’thilln, consists of eight Okariran, namely:

b)   Adopts measures to carry out plans aligned with the ambitions and aspirations of The Blessed Diarchy.

c)   Sets up new organisations, bodies and institutions to strengthen The Silver State of Haelun’or socially and economically.

d)   Issues new laws and advisories for public order and the protection of the interests of The Silver State of Haelun’or, founded in the principle of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya.

e)   Exercises guidance whenever necessary in regards to the public’s adherence to maehr’sae hiylun’ehya.

f)   Appoints Medi’iran to aid them with their bounden duty.

ARTICLE 19.   The appointment and removal of any government in The Silver State of Haelun’or is recorded in the Archives of The Eternal Library for the Blessed Citizenry to access.

ARTICLE 20.   The Maheral cannot be removed.

ARTICLE 21.   The Maheral appoints their own successor either by missive, speech or signed and sealed testamente posthumously.

ARTICLE 22.   A Council of Malauriran convenes to elect a new Maheral, should the Maheral be rendered unable, or without signed and sealed testamente posthumously.

ARTICLE 23.   The Sohaer can be removed if deemed unfit without a doubt on grounds provided by the Maheral, confirmed through a prompt and fair trial.

ARTICLE 24.   The Sohaer appoints their own successor either by missive, speech or signed and sealed testamente posthumously.

ARTICLE 25.   The Maheral appoints a new Sohaer should the Sohaer be rendered unable, or without signed and sealed testamente posthumously.

ARTICLE 26.   The Silver Council, Elheial’thilln, is not left incomplete for longer than one year.

ARTICLE 27.   The Okarir can be removed by The Blessed Diarchy when deemed necessary.

ARTICLE 28.   The Okarir is appointed by the Sohaer.

ARTICLE 29.   The Okarir is a High Elven Blessed First Class Citizen.

ARTICLE 30.   Citizenship in The Silver State of Haelun’or is not restricted to exclusively High Elves.

ARTICLE 31.   All Blessed Citizens have the right to a prompt and lawful trial.

ARTICLE 32.   All Blessed Citizens have the right to medical service and protection.

ARTICLE 33.   All Blessed Citizens have the right to housing in accordance to their level of citizenship.

ARTICLE 34.   All Blessed Citizens have the right to operate a business and stall in the marketplace of Lareh’thilln.

ARTICLE 35.   All Blessed Citizens have the right to bring grievances to The Silver Council, Elheial’thilln.

I address the state again: Mali’thill, blessed adherents of Larihei, principled allies of stability and order. Corruption has soaked the land of the Elves in the South and East. In careless, paranoid frenzy over Haelunorian great growth, our ambitious ascendancy, they gathered like flies to a flickering torch. The Mali’ker and Mali’aheral are no enemies. I remember dearly when the Warhawkes’ sovereignty came threatened by opportunist officials of the former Dominion of Malin in Atlas. The Mali’aheral offered both assistance and protection, bolstering a long consanguinity between our people. In Arcas, you were invited to the Silver State of Haelun’or, and after lengthy discussion and negotiation, we decided to establish newfound respect and reverence to the respective nations and cultures. To that, we drank and feasted.

The unfortunate circumstances surrounding the Elven Union, the hostility shown by Mali’ame of Alderyn, became an infected thorn in inter-mali relations. I wondered often what had happened, what had caused this resentment so quickly. Ominous denouncements were exchanged, a bizarre occurrence, for our people are peaceful and collected in nature. In a Valah capital we were pitted against one another, the Onyx and Silver host, a total collapse of our affinity.

I write you, fair Mali’ker of the Principality, to make a simple request. A request to temper the realm and restore some sort of kinship. A request not just pressing, but obligatory to avoid future bloodshed. The peaceful Haelunorian domain of tall spruce, untrampled earth and raw granite will be preserved, protected at all costs, and I shy no means to do so. I am certain you share the same sentiments for your harmonious island and principality too. Should you reject our humble request, it can only be perceived as a display of your intention to go to war against the Mali’aheral and march on the Silver State of Haelun’or. I dare not think that is true.

-  :  Revoke the grievous denouncements made against the Mali’aheral by Regents of the Regency Council, to which the Silver Council of Haelun’or shall do the same in exchange.

A cool breeze ran between two lone elves upon the bridge. Despite the sunny disposition of Elvenesse’s warm forests, their minds were filled with death. Just an elven week prior, Thexan Ithelanen’s challenge had been answered by the Silver City. There stood Kaius Visaj; alone in a foreign country, with none by his side.

“Have you prayed to your Gods?” Thexan passively asked, trying to ignore the presence of the massive crowd to their rear.

Kaius dipped his head in affirmation.

The Ithelanen turned towards the gatehouse-turned arena, undoing the straps of his helm. “And so it begins.”

Thexan’s blade ripped across Kaius’ breast, bearing into his plate and freeing the flesh from his chest. With a cry of manic ecstasy, the high elf crumpled to the floor. He knelt beside the dying ‘aheral, watching the stars fade from his iris.

Thexan looked down onto the dead elf. “So that I may free your head from your shoulders,” he echoed in cruel mockery. With a swipe of his blade, it was Kaius’ head that was freed - thrown upon the marble stone for Elvenesse to bear witness. A priest of the druidic faith flanked the victor’s side.

“Do you wish to be present for the rituals?” he asked, glancing towards the sunken corpse. Undoubtedly, it involved the use of several organs.

Thexan shook his head. “I have a letter to write.”

I soon will march on your gates. I will tear every stone from your wretched walls and return your citadel to the dirt. I will leave you alive - only to remember the cost of leaving your ivory prison. But before I arrive, come and see.”

Reject the normalisation of the Mali’fenn disease which has plagued the descendants since their sudden appearance just mere centuries ago!

To attempt to understand the rationale behind the actions of those that call themselves ‘Mali’fenn’, is a pointless and arduous task, one which any ‘thill with sense will avoid entertaining. Their ways are driven only by primal instinct, for they are not truly capable of much coherent thought. The physical appearance of an ‘atafenn is both grotesque and pitiful, for it is proven that, of the mali, they hold the least regard towards any sense of elegance. Shown by their avoidance of selective breeding, leading to a horrid amalgamation of a race with no real identity or worth. The spawn of such creatures is a foul sight to behold, only the ice-cold blooded ‘atafenn would subject a child to a life of such misery and deformity.

But rejoice Mali’thill for we still stand far above the Maliata’fenn, whose every thought and action is tainted by their willingness to let an absurdity of emotions guide them. We, the Blessed Citizens of Haelun’or, will not so easily succumb to such irrationality through our steadfast willpower, given unto us by our strict adherence to maehr’sae hiylun’ehya, which is clearly beyond the comprehension of the simple minded ‘ata.

Failure. Simply put today I write of the story about the failure, mishap, and slip up of yet another impure. Today we cover the sad case of Prince Elrion and his impure habits. It comes to me to tell you all how this man has broken the rules of purity, first and foremost it is that of drugs. That very thing that alters the mind, warps the perception, and ruins what a true prince should be. Where do I gather this information from? A Curonite whom remains to be unnamed for her own safety. She attested to me earlier that she was with Prince Elrion when he was under the influence of these vile drugs and therefore impure.

To this, I address to the Race Traitors. Those that would further spill the blood of Malin. 

In regards to the Silver State, the Mali’aherals choices and actions little surprise me. Eons of inbreeding has corrupted their genes. Degrading them to the point of being Valah, which they imitate very well. They claim to not be barbaric savages, yet they started this war. Plunged Arcas into chaos.  Simply for the blood of Malin trying to defend itself from future threats. They openly raid across the land. As as of the past month, the Mali’aheral are child beaters. Dirty Chikirs that are not worthy of the life Malin gave them. They throw away the blessings of our father, and turn their back to him. 

These heretics will not go un-punished. For their aid of spilling Mali blood, I promise a life time of hatred. What happens, Mali’aheral? When we survive for the next hundreds of years? Do you think we shall forgive the sins of the past? As of late, the Mali’aheral kneel before the Valah. Their lips planted firmly around the base of their *****.  The in-breeder's have plauged this realm long enough. They claim to be the rightful leaders of the Mali. But how can you lead the Mali when you’re the chamber side girl of the Emperor of Man? 

Our actions in the next following years will shape the future. Will you be placed in history as the race traitors you are? What made you forsake the blood of Malin? The Mali’aheral adhere to no god, yet they support the Valah as if they were one. 

For this, I label the Mali’aheral of the Silver State to be Traitors to Malin and his children. Chikir’s, and heretics. 

To the brain washed Mali that serve the Emperor. It is strange, to see this slave mentality happening before my very eyes. Many Imperial Mali claim that the Empire is not as it seems. That we are simply mistaken. Yet, they attack with out ever being threatened. They jump to war and the chance to kill simply over a defensive pact. Mali children are beaten. Ears are clips, and Mali are openly subjugated. Forced to preform to the whims of Valah. Book licking, and far worse treatments. Are you Mali simply blind? Or have you lost all hope? All will to fight for a better life. You doom your children to the same life of systematic racism and forced hardships. To the Mali that fight for the Empire, I can say little. For these race traitors can hardly be worthy of the air they breath. Many claim they would not seek to harm another Mali. But as you idly stand by, our people grow abused by the hands of the Empire. 

But you do nothing, will you ever do anything? To those Mali Generals and public servants of the Empire. You are traitors to your race, and to Malin. No years of torment can ever forgive your crimes against his children. When all these Valah have died from old age, and  their Empire shatters as it has before, where will you go? You could have found any of us, to find a place to call home. But instead you pick your slaver. Time and time again. 

There is no freeing a slave that willingly wears chains. There is no teaching savages how to act civil. For now, I wait. For the Valah today will all day, their children shall die, their children's children shall die. Entire generations shall pass before A Mali dies.   One day, not one of their children will truly remember the rage and savagery of their lesser developed ancestors. But such a time is not now, hatred is all the Empire knows. And soon, the modern world will have no place for them. We are less then three hundred years away from the 2000’s. I implore you. Get your act together.

The declarations of hegemony, “purity”, and dominance from the silver city become increasingly annoying. It is no well kept secret to the realm that you, silver elves, render your strength from Imperial allies. Without them, you would stow away wordlessly within your citadels – as you have for centuries prior. Let the record then show. My name is Thexan Ithelanen – son to Valkorion and favored blood of Kairn the Conqueror. I have written the many documents that have embarrassed this war effort throughout the elven weeks. A TRIBAL TRAGEDY

Upon the annual moon of 1730, 4th of The First Seed that we, the Syllar, hereby issue realmly summons for the formerly known Leilatha Syllar, née Devione. Once the prideful matriarch of Mali’ker, the previous Warhawke and Princess of Vira has since abandoned her roots and dignity for the pleasures of flesh. It, with insurmountable sorrow, has come to the attention of family of her infidelity, and so, shall stand public trial. Not only has she betrayed her loved ones, leaving behind father, husband, son, and many brothers and sisters; but faith, pacts and promises for the pursuit of banditry and degeneracy. She shall no longer be recognized as a Warhawke, a disgrace to an honorable people, nor Mali’ker until lawful recompense is established.

Vas Vincrute is subject to summons, to reinstate his loyalty and produce an official apology to Syllar under the pretense of attempted violence. His children shall serve as wards beneath Syllar until the age of majority is met, acquiring martial education, too as protection from a Shade’s innate instability.

Pretenders of Vira are subject to summons, to reinstate their loyalty. They shall be received cordially.

From humble beginnings, the Syllar originate from the subterranean of yore; biding their time until emerging into the present centuries. With their debut, not one of grandiose stature, the formation of united mali’ker had been spearheaded under the bloodline; the eventual successor to ’ker independence and thus ascension to royalty. Those born of the Onyx oft acquire aptitude in traditional upbringing, varying in focus. Education is paramount for a young Syllar, casting aside household values to instead be learned by the harsh realities of the world. Statecraft for the silver tongued, martial matters for the durable and hardy, and seldom, rulers with prowess to both.

Brandishing a brutish nature, the Syllar are oft warlike and practice what it means to preach strength. With ideals originating from the means of fight or flight, the Syllar with crowns of onyx rejoice in conflict and the drums of war. Challenges and testaments of power are the pride and principle of Syllar, inclined to duel, fight and better oneself both physically and mentally.

Descendants of the lineage of Valen and Leilatha tattoo blue ink over either their right or left arm depending on gender. As per tradition, these tattoos signify their person within the bloodline and as descendent of the princely line. They occupy from the backhand upwards to their bicep, of intricate designs comprised wholly of a blue backdrop with stars, swirls and clouds dominant in the skyscape. 

There are no known familial tradition in any other line of Syllar.

Inheritance and succession within the bloodline of Syllar follow a strict agnatic-cognatic primogeniture where the eldest of the established ruler inherits all estates of their predecessor. If there is a male, they shall inherit over an elder sister, but

without any males it shall revert to the female successor. Males of the bloodline are expected to forge their own destiny and found their own legacy. Female born Syllar do not marry matrilineally, therefore do not keep the name, nor are adoptions tolerated within the family.
