To the allies of The Oasis of the Mountain and nations of Almaris

The Oasis of the Mountain is pleased to announce the revival of Caravan trading. Each Caravan is unique to the member of the Oasis leading it and can range from trading specially made goods and food to entertainment of games, performances, and more. 

These Caravans will happen once every two years, depending on the Caravan Leader. To request a caravan to stop within a nation’s city, please send a bird to either Sheikh Shams Al-Nabeel or Head Scribe Nura al-Hattan.

For many years now the other families of the great farfolk nation have looked down on the once-powerful Banu Hamad. Our warriors were a threat to the power and peace of the other families that our tribe was disgraced and ransacked by those who would rather be pushed around by northerners.

Since then our brothers and sisters have lost all respect for the name they carry. Our history is not taught or embraced, instead silenced and shunned for our warrior past. Now the Hamads that walk the sandstone streets of the new Sultanate have no connection to our blood and birthrights, imposters that were given the name by our weaker members. However, with my return Sheikh Zayid Ibn Utayr Al-Hamad, the true blood, and inheritor of the titles of the Hamads, I shall bring our family to its former glory. 

The Banu Hamad must once again unite and congregate within our cave to bring back what the farfolks were always meant to be, our free people. We must once again be the link that separates us from the northerners who taint our culture and people. They want to exploit us, just like their ancestors have done in the past. 

All Hamads are called to swear fealty to me the Sheikh, to return home to your brothers and sisters so we may once again be the pillar that keeps our people safe. We demand that those who were unjustly given the name of Hamad in the form of adoption present themselves as well, and prove they are true Hamads in a series of trials. 

For a Hamad, blood related or not, to disregard this and not swear fealty. They will be disowned, banished, and used for hunt until the end of their lives, and the lives of their  descendant’s. 

Long live the Hamads, Long live the Sultanate!

Over the past few decades, the Fakhr Emirate has sat quietly at the edge of the Kharasi Desert, bearing witness to the politics of the world around it. We have seen foreigners come and go, the rise and fall of nations, and still we remain to see it all. In this time, the Emirate has seen a large boost in its population and an increase in patriotic fervour that has driven us to seek the reclamation of the great Kharasi sands.

Therefore, after much consideration, the Banu Nabeel under the leadership of Qamar Ibn Zayd Al-Nabeel hereby declares the formation of the Sultanate of Kharasi. This new domain, led by the Royal Banu Nabeel, hereby lays claim to the Great Southern sands of Almaris. All nations and settlements within the rightful territory of the Sultanate shall offer tribute and recognize the territorial claims of the Kharasi Sultanate. If you refuse, we urge you to meet with us in the Fakhr Oasis so that we may meet a peaceful resolution. In Shaa Allah, we shall have peace within the domain of the Sultanate.

The Jade State of Yong Ping and The Fakhr Oasis

From the Desk of the Emir...

ARTICLE I - SOVEREIGNTY 

The Jade state of Yong Ping  and The Fakhr Oasis recognize each other as independent lands, legitimately overseen by their respective sovereigns, and will make no attempt to subvert the authorities governing them. 

ARTICLE II - NON-AGGRESSION 

The Jade state of Yong Ping and The Fakhr Oasis will adhere to a pact of non-aggression, and will not incite conflict between themselves, nor will they participate in any conflicts that will result in the signatories being in opposition. Citizens of both civilizations have their safety guaranteed within the borders of the other, so long as the laws of the local governments are adhered to.

ARTICLE III - FRIENDSHIP 

The Jade state of Yong Ping  and The Fakhr Oasis, have deemed both signatories as virtuous stock with good morals, good intentions, and a value for mundane, descendant life. Both signatories hereby declare the friendship between the parties and vow to smile upon each other with kind hearts.

ARTICLE IV - TRADE 

The Signatories may adhere to the following trade policies:

• Signatories may receive a market stall free of rent in their respective capitals.
• Signatories may trade specialty goods free of tariff.
• Signatories shall not trade products of alcohol or pork between each other; this includes the raw materials necessary in the production of those goods. 

ARTICLE V - DURATION

This pact shall be in effect for a duration of 15 years. In the case where either the Jade state of Yong Ping or The Fakhr Oasis is found by the other to be in violation of this pact, or either of the signatories undergoes a change in nation status, all articles will remain in effect, while the signatories search for diplomatic resolutions.

THE RISE OF THE FALCON

Shifting sands in the Kharasi Desert… 

From the barren deserts would rise a glorious falcon, soaring over the shifting sands. Qamar Ibn Zayd al-Nabeel rose to leadership, succeeding the fallen Emir, Azzam bin Hakim al-Hattan (Azzam the Misunderstood). As he took leadership, a new era grace the lush Oasis. A renewed prosperity settled into the beautiful city: families growing, reunification, and the reestablishment of businesses and trade.

Those who had watched the fall and rise of the Fakhr Oasis would smile, praising Allah for his continued protection and blessings. They would remember those that had been lost, honoring their memory as they continued to press forward, following Qamar’s vision.

As Qamar took his leadership, he called out to the entirety of the Oasis “What is coming is better than what has gone. The future is bright, In Shaa Allah!”

The official announcement of the Golden Sun Cooperation would travel by word-of-mouth across the desert and and even further to continental lands. The merchants would speak of a loose collection of merchants working together for the benefit of each other. Exclusive trade deals and cheap goods offered only to merchants and craftsmen of the GSC.

  Founder and Head Merchant of the GSC, Thamer ‘Ahmar’ Al-Hadad, has made the Fahkr Tribe the home of the Golden Sun Cooperation. The growing cooperation already has begun it’s growth with the Emir, Hakim Al-Hattan, entering into the GSC as the second Head Merchant and Caravan Master. Hakim's daughters both followed shortly after becoming local merchants of the GSC with other prospects appearing from within and outside the tribe.

A new Sun is rising and it's golden rays shine brightly on the Fahkr Tribe.

Salaam Alaykum, to those who extend their hand in friendship, we offer the same twice over, to those who offer aid, we offer the same twice over, to those who do not follow our faith, we pray for your Guidance.

We, the Fakhr Tribe and Oasis, as decreed by our faith and culture, do condemn the actions of one Qahir Al-Hamad for the assault of the fourteen year old Sutican citizen, Rodryk. The actions of our wayward and violent cousin from the Al-Hamad branch of the Fakhr Tribe do not speak for the entirety of our family, and we mourn deeply the injuries he suffered at the hands of Qahir Bin Saif Al-Hamad. 

We pledge to aid the Sutican State and it’s vassals in the pursuit of justice for the young boy who now cannot grow to the fullest of his young potential. We give the Sutican State and it’s vassals full permission to pursue the criminal known as Qahir Al-Hamad and will aid in his capture, handing the duty of his punishment to the Trade State of Sutica.
