The Silo Musin troupe, also known as the Adventurer's Club Founders, also known as Snooks, Julep, Knave, and Marigold, are the faces of Musin perseverance and industry in the face of adversity. Though these four individuals started from the bedrock, now they're here: Celia'norian Nobility, their mission has been built on the foundations of integrity, hard work, and goodwill through cultural philanthropy, and, of course, the spirit of Adventure!

Their maiden adventure had them journeying North from their mysterious origins at a young age. What they stumbled upon was the City of Stars, led by the courageous and kind Her Excellency Illyria Ibarellan during her reign as empress. With hard work and an eagerness to give back, these four Musin worked their way up in Celia'norian society. From founding the glorious and wildly successful Adventurer's Club, to rising through the ranks of

the Celi'Diraar, these four were- and are- unstoppable with Celia'nor by their side. 

Though years of service enriching the Celia'norian Capital, the day had finally come, 9th of Sun's Smile, Year 216 of the Second Age: the official summons to the Leyu'sil Court to revive the long lost title of "Nor'Onn", meaning "Of the Land". This prestigious noble title had traditionally been given to a very select non-Elven family that have offered great servitude to crown.

For hundreds of years, this title has gone bequeathed. None have been deemed worthy enough.

Traditionally, Musin do not carry a last name. Because of this, the group known as The Musin of the KBC Silo and Founders of the Adventurer's Club, is now proudly known as combined House Serendipity, a newly blessed noble lineage of Nor'Onn in Celia'nor.

This house, born from the chance convergence of kindred spirits in the right place at the right time, carries forward the legacy of these select Musin while forging a bold path ahead. No longer simply hidden away beneath the earth, they have stepped into the light, their unity and resilience reshaping the Musin identity across Aevos. House Serendipity now stands as a symbol of fortuitous beginnings, a beacon of nobility carved from shared struggle and unwavering camaraderie, and thus they dedicate their legacies to preserving the traditions and morals of their ilk.

House Serendipity are bound not by blood, but by shared purpose and fate. Currently comprised of four close-knit individuals, each bearing their own unique markings and traits, each member of the House of Serendipity may have different appearances. However, they will all share the same zeal for the spirit of Adventure amongst them! SCAMPER SCHOOL

In the style of the Silo, all young folk that are coming of age in House of Serendipity must undergo rigorous agility and ranging courses to survive in a Tall-folk's world. At the end of each graduating class, the most exceptional performing young Musin will receive the most prestigious award:

A Scamper School Trophy!

This prize is carried through their life as a point of pride for their whole lives for extreme bragging rights and proof they are truly adept and gritty.

MANDATED CAKE FACTORY SERVITUDE 

There comes a time in every young Musin's life where they must learn how to wield the almighty KB Cake Factory machine. Through it's ever-churning glory and blessing, may KB Cakes be manufactured for 1000 years! 

Launching Musin into relevance past the second age in to the third, KBC shall prosper by way of His Mighty Cake Generation!!

Through the dedication of this simple practice of industry, House of Serendipity members learn firsthand how to produce product for the success of the House and for their community at large. This period of time represents the struggle the original founders' upbringing, the Serendipity of all their ingredients combining, and the unlimited potential of the House's illustrious future!

ADVANCED GIFT GIVING

The joy of any member of House Serendipity is the refined art of gift giving as an act of service.

Whether it's a simple trinket to say 'thank you' or some grand gesture, it would be uncharacteristic for House Serendipity to show up anywhere empty handed. This practice is in reverence to the gifts they have been given in their lives, offering a bit of warmth and good will to creatures of all walks of the map.

SUCCESSION

The continuation of the legacy of House Serendipity shall be passed down solely through genetic succession or adoptive children, regardless of gender. New House Members may marry in can gain status, but gouvernance always falls in the hands of the direct progeny of one of the founding members. Non relations may be accepted through recognized feats of incredible valour and dedication to Serendipity.

The noble houses of Celia’nor hold a great importance, as they wield significant political power within the realm. However, The young Lords and Ladies, and even the commoners, have much to learn when it comes to the finer points of Etiquette! So, how should a Lady or Lord conduct themselves within the court of Celia’nor?

Addressing Titles 

There are ten ranks within the court of Celia’nor, with the Lauririi being the lowest, ascending through the ranks to the Malaurir, and culminating with the reigning Royarch. Navigating Noble protocol can be challenging, and mistakes are bound to happen. The key is to recover gracefully, learn from your Missteps, and Improve. 

Let’s start simple. If you’re unsure of how to address a noble or unaware of their specific title, it is highly recommended to use the default ; “Your Honorable Ladyship” or “Your Honorable Lordship.” Most nobles will graciously inform you of their proper title, and you should make sure to use it correctly moving forward. 

As long as you remain attentive, especially with Addressing titles, you’ll avoid many potential pitfalls within the court. Etiquette is an art, but with practice, it becomes second nature! 

Remember! Don’t speak without an introduction! Request the right to introduce yourself, if no one else is around to properly address you. 

How Do I Address our Royarch?

Once Again, mistakes are natural, and the Royarch is often far more forgiving than one might expect! If you’re unsure of how to properly address a Royarch, there’s no need to fret. If a noble is nearby, don’t hesitate to seek their guidance. If no Assistance is Available, Royal blood themselves will kindly correct you on their proper title.

As with noble titles, You’ll soon grow accustomed to addressing the Royarch correctly. Take these moments as learning opportunities, and in time, you’ll navigate such formalities with ease and confidence!

It is important to remember that holding weapons in the presence of the Royarch or nobles of status equal to or higher than Laura’vir is a serious offense. Such an act is strictly forbidden and can even be considered an execution-worthy crime!

The only exception to this rule is when engaging in basic self-defense against immediate threats or surrounding foes.

How to Properly Interact with Celia’norian Nobles? | The Conduct with Nobles.

It is always recommended to bow or curtsy when introducing yourself to a noble. In fact, it is essential to greet a noble in this manner, even if you encounter the same noble multiple times a day! While it may feel repetitive, it serves as an important sign of respect.

Keep in mind, those of higher status than yourself are not obligated to return the gesture. Their position exempts them from this courtesy.

It is important to remain on your side of the path when interacting with nobility and to avoid disagreeing with an Evarir, Laura’vir, or any higher-ranked individual. Only those of equal or greater rank are permitted to challenge individuals of higher standing.

Another key point of etiquette involves physical contact with nobles. Touching a noble’s skin without their explicit consent is considered a serious offense. Always ask for permission beforehand. Nobles hold the legal authority to reprimand such behavior, even with a public slap though this must remain within reasonable bounds.

As a general rule, a noble should also avoid direct skin contact with others. Proper etiquette dictates that a layer of fabric should always be present to protect Mali's skin.

Should you feel compelled to argue or raise a concern with a noble, it is always best to address such matters privately. Engaging in a dispute publicly may lead to severe social repercussions, not only for you but potentially for the noble as well though, in most cases, it is likely to harm you more than them.

Do not forget to remain polite when interacting with a Laurir or any high-ranking noble. It is crucial to avoid developing a sense of social familiarity or comfort that implies you are on the same social level as them. Nobility must maintain their sense of superiority over those of lower status to preserve the court’s Hierarchy.

Even nobles of equal or higher rank should exercise politeness and proper decorum when engaging with lower-ranking nobles.

A friendly reminder to all, whether foe or Llir, that nobles reserve the right to reprimand you with a slap should they feel disrespected. These individuals are esteemed members of Celia’nor, holding positions of great honor and stature. To show them disrespect is a grave error.

Commoners & Servants.

The relationship between servants and Celia’norian nobles should remain strictly professional, focused on work-related matters with a touch of camaraderie. In Celia’nor, we do not discourage friendship. However, engaging in a romantic relationship with a servant is highly discouraged as it may be perceived as an abuse of power. Maintaining proper boundaries ensures both parties uphold proper standards of Celia’norian court. 

A reminder to the nobles, while servants  are employed to serve you, it is your duty to treat them with respect. Provide fair wages and proper resources to ensure their well-being, as they dedicate themselves tending to your needs. Treating your servants poorly is highly ill-advised and is, once again, deeply frowned upon in Celia’norian society. 

Noble Law.

This section is to provide an overview of Noble law, take this as an explanation and rather small rundown of noble law. It is strongly encouraged to review the full laws^[1], for comprehensive understanding. This summary is intended only as a quick reference to the morality chapter. 

Upon Chapter I: EXPANDED LAWS OF MORALITY.

1. Marriage is a sacred institution, and under the laws of Celia’nor, it is strictly forbidden for nobles to enter unions with individuals of another race or differing heritage within the bounds of Celia’nor. 
   1. Those who violate this law will have their titles stripped and may face banishment. However, after 8 to 11 years, they may appeal their punishment. By remaining steadfast on the path of the redemption, they may earn the mercy of the Royarch. 
   2. Withholding information, possessing knowledge of such violations, or aiding in concealing these relations will also result in punishment, carrying a fine ranging from 75 to 100 Mina. 
2. The act of adultery within the ranks of nobility is strictly forbidden and deeply frowned upon. Such behavior is deemed intolerable, and it falls upon the Royarch to restore order and uphold the integrity of the nobility. 
   1. Any noble found guilty of such a crime will have their titles stripped and removed upon the ranks of nobility. Additionally, the offender may be subjected to banishment. 

This is merely a brief overview, once again, it is strongly encouraged to conduct your own thorough research into the complete Celia’norian noble laws for a more comprehensive understanding.

In recognition of the noble talonniis that dwell within our sovereign realm, it is time to raise high the banners of their virtues and unveil the true essence of what they represent.. Though their names are known to all, many still wonder what lies behind their illustrious titles. Questions linger and curiosities remain... yet no longer shall they be left unanswered!

With the onset of this new era, and for each passing year until the conclusion of the eighth, the noble talonniis shall be honored, one by one, whilst they are tasked with the responsibility of sharing their culture and joy with the people and for the people. Each talonnii shall have its moment to display the full splendor of their unique customs and beliefs for all to enjoy! The populace shall be treated to grand festivities, imbued with the spirit of the honored talonnii that represents their individual purpose and virtues, as well as a missive that will unveil the intricacies of their culture for all to read.

In uniting the denizens of Celia’nor under the stars’ blessings, we invite all to partake in this revelry by donning the colors of the representing talonnii for the span of each year, thus joining together as one community. Let the brilliance of our noble houses be a beacon of light and pride for all!

The Years of Nobility,

1. First among the esteemed talonniis who shall unveil their cherished culture for the delight of the populace in the inaugural year of this grand and prolonged celebration, stands none other than the noble Laurir Acaln'sae talonnii, heeded by the Lord Ronan Acaln’sae! 

2. As the second year of this momentous celebration dawns, it shall be the noble talonnii of the esteemed Evarir Cerusil, led by the charge of the Lord Sylvir Cerusil, who take upon themselves the honor of presenting grand festivities before the people. With righteous unity and joyous revelry, they shall unveil the richness of their culture for all to behold and partake in, inviting the realm to bask in the splendor of their storied heritage!

3. In the third year of this grand inaugural celebration within the annals of Celia, the noble talonnii of Laurir Akaln'riv shall stand as host to a series of resplendent events, led by the Lady Ciradyl Akaln’riv. These festivities shall offer the denizens an opportunity to bask in merriment while honoring and showcasing the true essence of what this venerable gathering upholds.

4. Following in the succeeding year after the esteemed Akaln’riv, stands the noble talonnii of Laurir Glanaeri, under the noble charge of Lady Viserra Glanaeri. They shall graciously unveil their culture and festivities for the delight of the populace and all who wish to partake in the joyous occasion!

5. During the fifth year of this illustrious celebration, it shall be the noble talonnii of the esteemed Laura'vir Amethil, guided by the noble hand of Lord Raziel Amethil, who shall take upon themselves the duty of presenting abundant and joyous festivities for the people. In honor of their revered culture, they shall offer celebrations for the realm to partake in, showcasing the proud traditions of their house.

6. In the sixth year of this grand celebration, it shall be the noble talonnii of the esteemed Evarir Py'lrie, guided by the illustrious Lady Siria Py'lrie, who shall take up the charge. With joyous ceremonies and festivities, they shall present the richness of their culture before the realm, fostering unity and prosperity among the people.

7. In the eighth year of this grand celebration, it is the noble Laurir Ithradryl, led by the esteemed Lord Itharion Ithradryl, who shall step forth to present joyful ceremonies and splendid festivities, sharing the rich heritage of their talonnii with the people, for the prosperity and unity of all.

8. Lastly, among the esteemed ton of nobility who shall bestow upon the Celian denizens the joyous occasion to partake in cultural festivities, stands the noble talonnii of the venerable Virar Nullivari, offering their legacy and traditions for all to behold and revel in.

THE AKALN’RIV TALONNII

The Akaln'riv bloodline has no great leaders through history, there are no generals of mythic status, no politicians of legendary stature, no philosophers of grand renown. Akaln'riv was built upon an idea instead: "Hard work bears rewards". The reality of this cruel world is that the deeds of your ancestors do not create greatness in oneself. Greatness is seen in the harshest of conditions, and when found within those conditions, it is tested and put to extremes. It is in the deep cold that the workings of the Akaln'riv blood was first seen.

The origin of the Akaln'riv is dated back to the fifty-fifth year of the Second Age. When Theoden Akaln'riv was born. The exact location of his birth is unknown, as many other aspects of his early years. All that is known is that the first of the Akaln'riv's roamed the North with a guitar slung around his back, and a rancher's hat upon his head, the only two things ever truly given to the bloodline. Within the deep frost of the North, there was nothing but desolation and hardship, the roads were the only homes known to the mali'. This start instilled a lesson that is to be passed down throughout the generations of the House. Nothing was given through blood, everything had to be earned.  The origin of the Bear upon the bloodlines crest is a hint to the house's origins, with the beast being common to the Northern Regions, its thick coats giving it an edge in northern survival. It serves as a reminder to all that it is in the cold that they all originated, and it is to the cold that the members of Akaln'riv will all return to test their worthiness.

The ideology of the Akaln'riv bloodline is one of comradery and patriotism. For it is through the fellowship of others that a group can survive. It is for this reason that Akaln'riv maintains three focuses. Loyalty, Comradery, and Hospitality. None deserve the cruelness of bearing the burdens of the world alone, especially not one's kin. It is through the collective unity of one's country men that Akaln'riv strives, for it is a bloodline that understands one cannot hope to survive and prosper by themselves. The dedication to the maintenance of the fields shows this sentiment, with the members of the Akaln'riv bloodline dedicating themselves to the field of agricultural development. Feeding the realm, after all, is a key component to the survival of a society.

T R A I T S    A N D   A P P E A R A N C E

The Akaln’riv appearance typically exhibits varying shades of blond(e) hair - with gold being the most prominent amongst them - and blue or purple for their eyes. Their builds are much bulkier than that of the usual high elf as their traditions include many a sport and physical activity. It is frowned upon for a member of the family to learn voidal magic in any capacity.

In recent times, the "Silver-Hair" appearance has become more common among the Akaln'riv family, particularly among the descendants of Lady Amsira Akaln'riv. Her silver hair has left a lasting impact on the family of blondes. However, blonde remains the most beloved hair color within the family.

Most born with silver hair are typically the result of Akaln’riv partners. The majority of Akaln’riv seem to have adopted the amusing trait of predominantly marrying silver-haired Mali’.

It is common for an Akaln’riv to disappear for a couple of years. Some may do so without reason, while others embark on a self-discovery mission, often connecting with their ancestors through the cold or deep slumbers akin to hibernation.

ORRAR FAUNA

Among the Akaln’riv, a shared love of hunting is a common trait, often accompanied by their frequent disappearances into the wilderness. Hunting is not just a skill but a deep-rooted tradition within their culture, with ties to Para’dine, where they often hosted hunting events.

On Almaris the Akaln’riv shared their tradition with the people of Celia’nor as well as their allies, inviting the realms to their vassal with the intention to have them partake in their hunt for the white stag - a deer that appeared decannually in the thick woods surrounding Para’dine.

FIYEM ASUL

In the culture of the Akaln’riv, the transition to adulthood is considered one of the most monumental moments in the life of a mali’aheral. The occasion is celebrated in a two-part ceremony; an ancient Akaln’riv ritual, and festivities to share with the realm.

Typically the Akaln’riv ritual is reserved for the eyes of the family, taking place in the snowy peaks of the mountains where the Cultural Steward will scribe the permanent pattern of a bear in the desired location of the participant. Once finished, the Head of the Household as well as the Cultural Steward will prepare the newly aged Akaln’riv for their trials. Information and details regarding the trials of the Akaln’riv are kept within the family.

Following the events of the ritual, the Akaln’riv host a plethora of festivities for the realm, opening their doors to share this momentous occasion with friends and strangers alike.

ANNIL ASIMULUM

The Akaln’riv’s regard death as a return to the icy peaks that have shaped their lives. Upon the death of their kin, the family enters a year-long period of mourning where the Akaln’riv females are expected to cover their heads with veils or drapes or hats. 

During this time the family prepares for the burial, where the body is laid to rest in the frozen North. The burial is marked by a silent vigil, with the family littering the grave with offerings and tokens of the deceased’s life. A song, poem, or a mural is created in their honour, and a bear pelt - a symbol of their lost life - is hung in their memory. 

Cremation is strictly avoided.

KAE UHIER NAE

Marrying into the Akaln’riv is not merely a union, but a commitment to their deeply rooted traditions. It’s a lengthy process, beginning with receiving the blessing of the Council of Snow, the Head of the Household, and other key leaders before facing a series of trials meant to test their resolve and loyalty. 

During the wedding ceremony, it is customary for the to-be-wed Akaln'riv to present a bear pelt to their lover at the altar- first displaying it to everyone in attendance. 

 Upon marrying into House Akaln’riv, one must be keenly aware that divorce is nearly unheard of. To break such a union is seen as more than shameful! it is a betrayal of the pact you swore to uphold. Marriage within the Akaln’riv is a commitment not to be taken lightly. you’ve given your word, you are expected to stand by it.

To add to this, in order to "marry" or unionize with an Akaln’riv, a dowry is indeed required for the wedding. However, concessions can be made for a good enough deal or through special "treatment" or "discounts" granted by the Head of Household.

The Acaln'sae, once hailed as artisans of the tailor's craft, found themselves ensnared as feeble prey to the unrelenting currents of misfortune… In solemn tale, this lamentable saga began with their chosen vocation, an art that, much to their dismay, starkly mismatched their innate aptitudes and suffered glaring undervaluation, despite their earnest toil. Consequently, this ill-fated circumstance plunged them into disrepute among their peers, who, with cruel intent, declared the Acaln'sae as objects of ridicule within their society. Enduring ceaseless torment fueled by an overbearing sense of superiority, their once-esteemed peers spewed forth venomous remarks without hesitation, relishing in their amusement at the expense of the Acaln'sae. Even the faintest interest in their preference for cigars and a yearning for a more opulent life against daunting odds served to distance the Acaln'sae further from society's embrace, branding them as ignorant and naive in the eyes of a serpent-like public, accused of ignorance about their place in the world.

And thus, amidst the swirling tempests of their existence—whether it be the unending decline of their inept and unprofitable tailoring trade, which relentlessly condemned them to impoverishment, or the ceaseless persecution they endured at the hands of a venomous public, whose scorn aimed to elevate themselves by abasing the Acaln'sae—torment seemed an eternal companion. Yet, as if the celestial stars themselves found grim amusement in their plight, tragedy struck the beleaguered Acaln'sae once more with unforgiving brutality. A plague, a merciless reaper, descended upon their prior lands in perilous detriment, but the Acaln'sae household was especially afflicted for it claimed its victims without discrimination among their household. It commenced with Ulrond Acaln'sae, the elder and erstwhile patriarch of the forsaken kin, and as if without a seam of hesitance, it swiftly seized the remaining five adults of the dwindling Acaln'sae lineage, including Aldon Acaln'sae, who would later be revered as Ronan Acaln'sae's father. The very fabric of hope within their humble abode was rented asunder. The once-hopeful Acaln'sae offspring found themselves orphaned, bereft of elders lost to the merciless plague, leaving behind naught but emaciated children—haunting specters of their former selves.

These abodes, then but a desolate haunt of their decaying forebears, were erected to shield the privileged echelons from the harrowing specter of the "Plague of Peasants," despite possessing the means to repel this vile malady, unlike their fellow brethren dwelling in the downtrodden slums. The weeks bled into one another, ensnaring the Acaln'sae within their abodes-turned-prisons, their spirits dampened by the reek of mortality that clung to the air, devoid of sunlight and plagued by the incessant gnawing of hunger that beset their emaciated forms.

As the chilling embrace of winter drew near, casting an icy pallor upon the nights, those impoverished children found themselves bereft of warmth, unable to stave off the encroaching cold. Many, dwelling in similar destitution within the slums, met a fate akin to entrapment within their own dwellings, succumbing to the frigid embrace of the frost, their forsaken abodes becoming their icy sepulchers, lying undisturbed and forgotten for years to come. Yet, amid this bleak tableau, a spark of resolve ignited within young Ronan Acaln'sae, a mere twelve years in age and now orphaned alongside his three siblings following weeks of oppressive captivity. Here, amid the verdant embrace, they beheld the sun's rays for the first time since the onset of the harrowing "Plague of Peasants." However… It became evident that their prolonged absence from its nurturing glow rendered their pallid, ash-gray complexions susceptible to burns, a testament to their unaccustomed vulnerability to its fervent radiance amidst the chilling temperatures, a stark reminder of their sequestered existence.

But as if they hadn’t been forsaken enough, yet another trial beset them—a profound ignorance in the ways of foraging sustenance from the bounties of nature became a matter of realization, whether through scavenging or the craft of hunting they were ignorant to all. The orphaned and enfeebled Acaln'sae children grappled with these fundamental skills, as their survival hinged upon mastering the wilds as they pressed deeper into the daunting woods… It was once overcoming these tribulations and enduring their discomforts, their journey guided them to the threshold of an aheral couple dwelling in a humble, remote hamlet. It was almost as though by some providence or turn of fate, the compassionate hearts of the couple opened wide to embrace these downtrodden children, welcoming them into their hearth as though they were progeny of their own without a mere modicum of hesitance to the children’s bewilderment. Being among the first lords of Celia’nor, House Nullivari has etched its name into the annals of Celiaorian history, and are thus adorned with an air of regality. Fierce defenders of the realm, their loyalty is a formidable force, unwavering and absolute, pledged to the service of the Celian Crown.

From humble beginnings, did Malithor Nullivari, the first of the bloodline, come to create a noble and powerful family which cherishes its values and kinsmen over all. His struggle was that of a lone man, seeking to push his name forward into the great records of elven history. It was his desire to gild the surname into the minds of all elven-kind, even by force if necessary.

What began as a vision, came into fruition in the Silver City of Haelun’or, where Malithor Nullivari rose to the rank of commander within the military, marking the commencement of a trajectory that seamlessly evolved into a thriving political career upon the Silver Council. His cunning nature set a standard for all Nullivari to strive for, and a confidence that could be mistaken as arrogance. Thus, the talonii began to grow alongside his own prowess. Malithor commanded the respect of his peers and obtained admiration of his countrymen. Alongside the great Sohaer Othelu Orrar, did he and his brother Thalon Nullivari, push Haelun’or into a golden era of military glory and legislative revolution.

After the death of Othelu, the Nullivari moved on from Haelun’or prior to the collapse of its government. Thalon Nullivari and his wife, Ro’ya, found friendship in Ivarielle Ibarellan as she sought to establish her own dominion within the continent of Almaris. Thalon became guide and confidant to the first Princess of Celia’nor. This is where the talonii were granted the noble status of Virar and inherited a vast plot of lands, thus named Eld Roth, where they established the Nullivari Keep.

Over time, the Nullivari have held many public positions within the Celian society while others held more [redacted] positions. The Nullivari are among the first lords of Celia’nor and are fiercely loyal agents of the Celian Crown.They have held unparalleled trust from all Celia’norian monarchs and continue to devoutly serve. As a result of this historic loyalty and trust, the Nullivari have since established familial ties with the esteemed Royal House of Ibarellan. Èowyn Nullivari, born of Thalon and Ro’ya, entered into matrimony with Turin Ibarellan. From this union, Hurin Nullivari-Ibarellan emerged - the prophesied High Prince of Malinor, intertwining the legacies of the Nullivari and Ibarellan.

THE NULLIVARI MINDSET

A Nullivari is regal and poised, with a certain eloquence in which they carry themselves that denotes a sense of pride in the very surname which they bear. There is a greed and hunger for power than often causes them to delve into more nefarious dealings, such as espionage, black-market trade, politics and more taboo practices that are often masked by the coy smile and titles wielded by silver-tongued Nullivari.

Many, due to their upbringing, have a ‘better than thou’ attitude, which stems from their individual struggle to earn their place within society, rather than reaping the benefits sowed by another from their bloodline, for inheritance is not a luxury provided to youthful Nullivari. While prideful, the Nullivari are often calm, collected and meticulous with inquisitive, eloquent and thoughtful natures. It is expected of each member to carve their own way through life, thus they take great pride in their vocations and strive to attain the highest possible standards for their trades and professions. It is not uncommon for a Nullivari to begin or end their interactions and dealings with someone by repeating their house motto, “Never Forget, Never Forgive.”, to instil their words into an absolute.

TRADITIONS AND CEREMONY

COMING OF AGE

This customary rite of passage typically occurs around 40 years of age, although this is often contingent upon the perceived maturity of each individual child. Upon this special occasion, each Nullivari child is presented with a weapon, such as a sword or dagger, meticulously crafted for them. These weapons bear designs intricately tailored by the leaders of the talonii to aptly symbolise the unique characteristics of each individual.

Further to the bestowed weapon, the young Nullivari is granted a separate estate, distinct from the family residence, marking the commencement of their independent endeavours. The size and opulence of this estate is determined by both their standing within the talonii hierarchy and their active involvement in familial affairs. 

The Nullivari in question will also choose from select markings to obtain, conducted within a small, family-only ceremony. These markings are as follows:

Honourable - ‘Tiichiul’

Death of Adolescence - ‘Nelithral’

Devotion - ‘Nokglaur’

BESTOWMENT OF RANK

Upon their 50th year, each member born of Nullivari blood is presented with the opportunity to assume a rank within the talonii. This milestone signifies the onset of adulthood, ushering a new realm of responsibility and experience. To attain such standing within the Nullivari, a ceremonial practice occurs where the individual is symbolically ‘knighted’ with a flaming sword, a sacred and honoured tradition. This symbolic gesture not only signifies the formal recognition of their elevated status, but also demonstrates the sacred bonds and commitments inherent within the Nullivari lineage.

With this newfound status, they gain the liberty to articulate their opinions during family meetings, question the decisions of the talonii and autonomously choose pursuits that will guide them toward the realisation of their own aspirations.

COURTSHIP AND MATRIMONY

Following their coming of age ceremony, a Nullivari is deemed an appropriate age to begin courtship. However, any potential candidate must be brought forth to the talonii leaders and other senior family members for approval. To uphold status within the talonii, it is strongly encouraged for a member to seek a high elf partner. Without obtaining required approval for a union, any courtship with this individual is prohibited. Should it come to light that such a decision has been disregarded, and the relationship persists, any subsequent marriage will be deemed null and void in the eyes of the talonii and participation in future family affairs will be severely restricted.

Upon receiving endorsement from senior members of the talonii, granted during a family meeting, the couple is permitted to proceed with union or marriage. However, it is imperative that the matrimonial ceremony takes place in the presence of a fire, adhering to a sacred tradition within the familial customs.

PREGNANCY AND CHILD REARING

The arrival of an elven child is already a highly revered event due to the infrequency of such occurrences, however, for the Nullivari, who value their talonii above all else, the birth of a new member is an exceptionally joyous and blessed occasion. Throughout the extended months of a pregnancy, the Nullivari engage in frequent familial celebration, with flames constantly lit in and around each Nullivari home, a sacred symbol of sanctity, fortune and familial bond. 

During adolescence, the values instilled within every Nullivari child are paramount. Strength, resourcefulness, pride and a deep value of family are cornerstones encouraged by adult members of the talonii. Spirited competition often emerges between generations which manifests in various forms such as intellectual pursuits.

DEATH

Death, a solemn occasion within the Nullivari talonii. Be it natural or unnatural passing, when the soul of a Nullivari is ripped from the realm, it is offered one final farewell. The body of the deceased is placed within a golden sarcophagus and given its last rites, where it is then cast into flame and the body melted down within the casket and the bones incinerated into ash. Every member of the family is expected to remain until the casket melts and becomes nothing but a puddle of metal from which it was casted from. 

That metal is then carefully collected and gilded upon a statue of the deceased and placed within the catacombs beneath the Nullivari Estate to be forever remembered and revered. A flame is lit beneath it, never to be expunged nor dispelled and thus, the fallen Nullivari is properly laid to rest.

BELIEFS AND MORALS

Power, wealth, family, honour and loyalty stand as the unshakable pillars of Nullivari values, each distinct yet intricately linked to another. Within these values, each member of the talonii must find their own sense of morality. At their core, a Nullivari is inherently individualistic, yet bound by a collective sense of purpose, derived from these foundational beliefs. Pride and purpose serve as the driving forces that compel the talonii to push its boundaries, ceaselessly striving for improvement through the integration of these ideals onto a unified path. The Nullivari, often guided by personal motivations, navigate a constant ebb and flow between the moral spectrum of good and evil. However, irrespective of this internal duality, each member of the talonii strives to preserve and would sacrifice all to continue what the Nullivari seek to preserve.

FAMILY

Family, to a Nullivari, reigns supreme and is of highest value within their lives. From the moment of birth, a Nullivari is ingrained with the unwavering principle that family takes precedence over all else. Furthermore, they are taught that the defence of one another and the sacred name they bear is an uncompromisable duty, regardless of the cost.

These bonds within the talonii are exceptionally strong, devoid of deception or hidden truths among its members. Consequently, outsiders are rarely granted any insight into familial affairs, and entry into the family itself is a privilege rarely extended beyond the bloodline. This exclusivity underpins the profound commitment and unity that defines the Nullivari, reinforcing the notion that their familial ties are not only cherished, but fiercely guarded.

POWER

Many regard the concept of ‘Power’ as having the ability to control or influence others. However, the Nullivari have a more nuanced interpretation, for it is not the ability to control others, but to manipulate their minds to bend to the silver-tongued statements born forth from the maw of a Nullivari. While they are quite imposing individuals, a Nullivari often lurks within the dim corners of a room, pulling upon the emotional strings of one’s psyche and contorting others to their whims, sometimes for naught but entertainment. Therefore, the Nullivari, with their keen understanding and skill in manipulating the unseen forces, stand as enigmatic architects of influence, weaving their power through the intricacies of Celianorian society.

WEALTH

Wealth holds a significant place of value and relevance among the Nullivari. Each member adorns opulent sets of clothes or armour, serving as visible symbols of their noble status. It is also not uncommon for the Nullivari to strategically allocate and pool their wealth based on prevailing circumstances. There is a strong emphasis on each branch of the family to establish its other financial reservoir, a personal bank, to safeguard the array of precious metals, rare artefacts, crafted weapons and mina that each faction treasures.

However, within the grandiosity of the combined wealth that the Nullivari possess, there lies a potential pitfall - greed. The abundance of riches at their disposal has the capacity to evoke an insatiable thirst for more. 

HONOUR AND LOYALTY

House Nullivari recognise that loyalty and honour extend far beyond the absence of betrayal, abandonment or thievery. To them, loyalty is a tapestry woven with threads of faithfulness, dedication, honesty and trust, intricately intertwined to create steadfast, unwavering commitment. Honor, on the other hand, is the profound connection between an individual and society, obtained by regarding others with respect.

These virtues are not just ideals for the Nullivari; but the foundation of their very relationships. While they value these qualities in all interactions, they reserve the highest regard for those within their own ranks. The Nullivari demonstrate that, akin to the strength of an army, the resilience of a family lies with  unwavering loyalty among its members.

The Nullivari are often described as devastatingly beautiful. Standing tall with impeccable posture, they exude an air of carefree confidence that captures attention. Their striking features include pale skin and silver hair, complemented by bright eyes that predominantly encompass shades of golden hues, green and sometimes blue. 

A unique facet of the Nullivari allure lies with the scars that many adorn - a dual symbol of pride and a testament to the intricate challenges each has confronted within their past. These scars, etched upon their skin, serve as a visible narrative of resilience and their complex histories, a layer of depth to the captivating beauty that defines the talonii.

I - INTRODUCTION

MISSION STATEMENT

“To be our own creation and destruction; all, within our grasp.”

The ultimate purpose - the very reason for the existence of every Cerusil - is the maintenance and development of the blade.

The blade, as it exists to the Cerusil as a concept, is not physical, nor is it something one necessarily wields - the blade is the power and ability to protect oneself. It is the power and ability to exert one’s will upon others.

The blade is the implement through which a  Cerusil upholds the will of the family, and thus promotes themselves symbiotically through it.

The goal of each  Cerusil - that horizon which each member walks towards in perpetuity, is the sharpening of that blade. It is the honing of the attributes of an individual to their utmost. It is that endowment of effort and ability from part to whole, and it is that path that many minds and hands forge together towards prosperity and power.

PHILOSOPHY/MINDSET

“It is not called short-sightedness when one only looks forward - it is called initiative.”

Each Cerusil, empowered by their blade, seeks to utilize this for the promotion of themselves and their family. Whether it is through righteous or conniving means, the talonii will work tirelessly towards the goals of the family.

Simultaneously, the Cerusil are unfortunately rarely allowed to strive in this way on their own - indeed, most goals include interaction with other groups and people - thus, this philosophy extends the reach of the mindset of the Cerusil to a set of interpersonal codes with which the Cerusil treat others.

Primarily, the Cerusil place themselves firmly opposed to anything which might hinder them, or oppose their processes - no matter how legitimate or lawful this hindrance is, the Cerusil shall take it as an extreme slight if some restriction is placed upon them, or if they are spoken badly of.

Along the same lines, given the primary goal of the Cerusil is the sharpening of the blade and the furthering of the family itself, the loyalties of the members of the family, as well as its whole, primarily lie with each other, not necessarily resting in any outside source.

However, due to an oath made long ago by the founder of the Cerusil, they remain loyal to Ivarielle and her legacy, and thus will follow whoever they see to rightfully inherit it.

The Cerusil see their investiture in the family as a gesture of ultimate trust - with each other, and with the family itself. Thus, it is a life-long commitment, and to each member of the family, removal from the family is akin to death, and the killing of a family member is the worst crime one can commit, with the family likely declaring anathema on anyone who does so.

“It is through absolution of our weakness that we are seen to be whole; it is the fulfillment of our purpose through which we are forgiven.”

II - HISTORY

ORIGIN

The High Elves have always lived lives akin that of the scholarly class or in pursuit of various curiosities, may it be the arts, sciences or otherwise. With the Eternal Library as a central heritage, it could be said that while the silver sons of Malin seldom intervened in war they were never afraid to when needed. But if there is one thing that is commonplace amongst elves as much as men, it is betrayal. 

It was during such a very ordeal that Cerufen Silmali excelled, leaving his mark not only in history but also tying himself to those who would shape it in the years to come. Leading his family who was known to practice the blade and its many forms, he led one of the many vanguards, striking down foes at the behest of Ivarielle I of Celia’nor. Though at the time she was not known as a ruler, but rather, by her name alone.

Cerufen Silmali had sworn an oath to her and her family the Ibarellan’s just days prior. The man was one of the few who were privy to the plan of attack. All he asked for in return of his oath and the oath of his family, to safeguard not only the Royal Family to come but also, the future society of elves they’d come to make, was for her to promise him a prosperous society - successful and resplendent - one in which his family could prosper. 

It was with these thoughts in his heart that Cerufen led his family into combat, striking down foe after foe. When they had finally cut a bloody path through the battlefield and faced the Silver State’s many champions, while victorious in the moment, the war was far from over. As though the Deities above themselves had decided to interfere, the two sides parted, to form each their own society. Though they both knew it likely that conflict would rise once again.

By the orders of the Primarch, the First Sword of Cerusil the family was given instructions to go into hiding until the day each of the descendants were to receive a letter. Told to never let their swords go dull and for them to prepare for the future war. While the Primarch remained to finish what had been started. In the years that passed since the new blades slowly prepared, to no one's surprise, the letters came not long after and Celius Cerusil and the rest of the family set out for Celia’nor, to uphold an oath, to protect the prosperous society their first Primarch was promised - the will of the First Sword.

NEW BEGINNINGS

“I asked my blade if it cared if I died - it did ne respond, it just gazed towards the enemy.”

When Cerufen Silmali grew accomplished it was by no surprise that his family made their name Cerusil, honoring him, as well as staying true to their creed. As his hope was for them to remain a mighty sword that guards the Celian Society.

The Cerusil, who are raised to know naught but the blade, naturally gravitated towards military matters, soon ingraining themselves within the Celiadiraar. It was in this venture that, through the assertion of the will of their founder and the oath she made to Ivarielle, the Cerusil gained new purpose - and that purpose was the protection and promotion of the nation of Celia’nor, and it would remain so in perpetuity should the legacy of Ivarielle and the oath that they made not be strayed from.

The Cerusil, gathered in Celia’nor, reformed their family which had once been whole and then scattered - forging it whole again and remaking it in the image of their original vision, as much as this could be remembered and recounted. But it was too during this time that necessity spurred new tradition in the Cerusil, and new traditions were developed in adherence to the time and the state of the world.

Through this philosophy, the house, under its new Primarch Celius Cerusil, did begin to prosper within the nation of Celia’nor, eventually falling into the hands of Celius’ daughter Senna Cerusil, who continued to propel the family into heights never before seen.

III - Sacred Relics

THE TWO SWORDS OF CERUSIL

“One blade for each hand - indeed, two is a divine number.”

The primary relics of the Cerusil family are the two original blades wielded by the founder Cerufen Silmali, after which the structure of the family is metaphysically fashioned.

It is the likeness of these two blades through which the family forms itself, the relics themselves being the namesake for the primary groupings with which the Cerusil organize themselves, and the physical reclamation of these relics, which are currently lost time, is seen as one of the primary goals of the family.

“With one sword we shall strike down our foes, and with the other we shall rewrite history.”

THE FIRST SWORD OF CERUSIL

“I asked my blade if it cared if I died - it did ne respond, it just gazed towards the enemy.”

The First Sword of Cerusil, the original blade wielded by Cerufen Silmali in her right hand, represents to the Cerusil family martial prowess, and the physical aptitude of all members within. It is those members of the Cerusil who are most skilled with the sword, other martial matters, leadership, and general charisma, that identify themselves most heavily with the First Sword.

It is said that the physical First Sword will be reclaimed by a worthy Cerusil, who shall propel the family to heights never seen before through pure use of their own strength and leadership, for it is this blade that represents that physical strength, vigor, and leadership present in all Cerusil.

The appearance and nature of the physical sword itself is a description lost to time, and it only exists in sentimental meaning now to the Cerusil.

“Ask not why it is silent in my wake.”

THE SECOND SWORD OF CERUSIL

“It was the most potent weapon ever used against me, and I did ne even feel it.”

The Second Sword of Cerusil, to the family’s talonii, represents intelligence, intrigue, and, indeed, magic. It is those Cerusil who fashion their blade in the way of something non-traditional - whose strongest weapon is not necessarily physical, but affects and promotes the family just as potently.

Though their blade is non-traditional, they are still instrumental to the success of the family, indeed encompassing one of the family’s two primary branches. It is those of the Second Sword who plot and connive, who bring plans to fruition and allow those of the First Sword to enact their martial prowess; indeed, without those of the Second Sword, the family would swiftly fall to nothingness.

Similar to who may reclaim the First Sword, it is said that one who reclaimed the Second Sword would elevate the family with their plans and ambition - it is surely one of the First Sword that would command the most respect from the world, but one of the Second who would propel the family to newfound heights in society.

“I asked you to be patient - it was a test, and in your haste you passed.”

IV - TRADITION

Dagger Gifting

“Without you, how could I manage the cruelty of the world?”

It is in the symmetry of the Two Swords of Cerusil that the family organizes itself, and, indeed, it was known to the founders of Cerusil and reflected in the tradition that one Sword is quite useless without the other. Through this acknowledgement, the tradition of dagger-gifting was synthesized, and along with it, the concept of the blade-bond.

The blade-bond is a process through which one of the First and Second sword might bind themselves together in eternal friendship and trust - and it is indeed true that no Cerusil may exist for long without such a bond and find themselves successful within

After one has been consecrated within the tradition of the Cerusil for some years, they might be expected by their kin to make a dagger-gift to one of the opposite sword, and if this gift is accepted, those two bonded shall be seen as unified through life and death - indeed, it is the highest dishonor if harm should fall upon the one you are bound to.

Though it is not strictly unheard of for those of the same Sword to partake in this bond together, it is most common, and practical, for those of different Swords to do so, thus increasing the overall range of skills of the pair, and allowing them to better serve the Cerusil.

The design and nature of the dagger gifted, as well as which one of the pair gifts it, is seen as very significant to the Cerusil, and shall depend strongly upon what the to-be-bonded know of each other, and what they feel is correct, whilst also adhering to conventions of Cerusil tradition. For the same reason, Cerusil rarely accept gifts of daggers or other blades from people outside the family, or, indeed, those other than their blade-bonded.

“With me, throughout danger you are safe; throughout hardship you are calm.”

Disownment

“I will not suffer this disgrace! How have I failed you so?”

To the house Cerusil, disownment is synonymous with death. It is a great violation of trust should one commit actions that warrant a disownment, and, indeed, the only process through which the Cerusil implement disownment is summary and extrajudicial execution. Indeed, the Cerusil claim the ultimate authority over the lives of their fellow talonii, which supersedes any political entity they might be a part of.

The decision to disown a Cerusil must be a unanimous decision of the Council of Two Swords, and is not to be taken lightly. If the Cerusil disowned attempts to escape this fate, the Council is summarily expected to declare anathema upon their name

“Do not remember my name. Strike it from existence.”

[SPOILER: All Cerusils must agree to a PK clause on their character, and they must PK under the following conditions:

1.  You are disowned, or otherwise executed by authority of the Council

2.  You are killed by a Cerusil.

If one escapes this fate for 5 OOC weeks after abandoning the name of Cerusil and anathema being placed upon them, their vows can be considered renounced and this clause no longer applies to them.]

Anathema

“Upon you, the highest order of our hate shall manifest. From us you shall never feel safe until a knife adorns your throat.”

In the history of the house Cerusil, there have been many figures who have presented significant threat to the progress or even the existence of the family, and thus their existence is an extreme slight in itself, and cannot be tolerated. It is upon these figures that the Council of Two Swords shall place anathema.

This anathema means simply that they receive the hate of all Cerusil, and that all Cerusil shall strive, with the utmost of their blade-endowed power, to end the life of this individual. Such an order supersedes any law, domestic or foreign, that may bind them, and absolutely must be fulfilled in timely fashion by the family, lest extreme disgrace come upon them.

Each Cerusil is expected to contribute to this summary execution in a manner unique to them and their blade. One of a martial blade - one of the First Sword - might be expected to challenge them to a duel, or to attack them on the road. One with a blade focused around intrigue or diplomacy might hatch a plot for assassination or to frame them for a crime, so long as it results in Cerusil control of the killing. It is seen as an unsatisfactory conclusion if the person who receives the anathema of the Cerusil is killed by another hand - it is not so large a disgrace as failing to kill them altogether, but it is a small disgrace nonetheless.

“Our anathema upon you - indeed, you breathe, but your life has ended.”

V - STRUCTURE

The Primarch and the Council of Two Swords

From among the Cerusil a Council is formed of six members, three of the First Sword and another three of the Second Sword. It is among these councilors that a Primarch is elected, with this position being the tie-breaking vote and additionally figure heading the family, as well as leading the Council itself.

The Council is tasked with voting on the course of action for the family, on banishments and anathema, and otherwise resolving matters relevant to the Cerusil. When a Council position is left vacant, the Primarch shall appoint a new Counselor to the position, though it is recommended traditionally that the number of Counselors from each Sword is kept at three.

Blademaster

Each of the two Swords of Cerusil will elect among themselves a leader, who shall be considered a blademaster of Cerusil, expected to best reflect the values of their respective Sword. Outside of the direct structure of the Council of Two Swords, these Blademasters would wield an informal authority over their Swords, likely being able to command most Cerusil which belong to it.

Traditionally, the Primarch should be a Blademaster, and the other Blademaster should reside on the Council of Two Swords, but neither of these are strictly required, though - should this not be the case, it would likely indicate disunity in the house, which is generally frowned upon, so most Cerusil will adhere to this convention.

Cerusil and Siloan Cerusil

Until Cerusil come of age and are properly blade-bonded, they are considered Siloan Cerusil, which is essentially a Cerusil that is not yet recognized as a true Cerusil that is bonded to all of their traditions - and thus, they are barred from much of the respect and opportunities afforded to promoted Cerusil. It is extremely unlikely, except in times of dire need, that a Siloan Cerusil would be afforded the position of a Counselor, and the resources of the Cerusil will almost always prioritize the bonded Cerusil over the Siloan.

Though ordinary Cerusil are not granted direct political power within the family, they still do possess the ability to influence the decision-making of the family as a whole through contribution to the decision-making meetings of the Cerusil. It is likely that a Cerusil’s word will be heeded over a Siloan’s in most situations.

Military Integration

All Cerusil are expected to join the Diraar and seek high rank within it, regardless of the nature of their blade. The Cerusil will always be warriors striving to further and protect themselves, and thus, there can be considered no better profession for them than a militaristic one. It is through this they additionally are able to uphold their oath to Ivarielle - by using their finely honed blades in protection of the nation which carries her legacy.

Cerusil Retainers

Though the Cerusil are historically a large family, it is often that martial matters do require extra hands, and in the spirit of the promotion of the individual blades of each Cerusil, it is important that each Cerusil has many resources with which to carry out whatever work they do in order to further the family. Thus, it is common for Cerusil talonii to take up to two retainers, either commoner or noble, whose loyalty they can be assured of.

These retainers will be tasked with the protection and service of their respective Cerusil, and they will also swear themselves to the house itself, joining the Cerusil in their various efforts, though most communications they receive will be limited and through the Cerusil that they serve.

Traditionally, if a Cerusil is to take a retainer, and especially if they take two, it is highly encouraged that they are able to evaluate these to-be-retainers as aligning with the values of the First or Second Swords of Cerusil. If two retainers are taken, it is recommended that one would align with the ideals of the First, and the other with the Second.

The Talonii's true conflict started with the appearance of magic in the bloodline. Those who were old and traditional opposed it staunchly, as it was different and new. They forbade their younger relatives from learning it altogether, which sparked many an argument in the household. As with all things forbidden, it only grew more and more until the Talonii started truly fighting each other. Blood was being shed over the use of magic forbidden by the elders.

Young Tayna'len's parents had been learning magic, and they were punished harshly for it. Many of her closest loved ones had died while learning magic, and she had witnessed cruelty firsthand. Years of cruelty and punishment had caused many to fight or flee, and so did Tayna'len with her relatives. They were escaping by the skin of their teeth from the Talonii elders, who were hunting them, never staying in one place for too long. Many of those who had spent those years on the run were still expanding their knowledge of magic until they had finally become capable of truly fighting back.

The tide had begun to turn as those who learned magic began to beat back the elders with their newly obtained knowledge. They sieged the home of the elders, where they lived together. However, they were not much different than those who hunted them, as they had brutally killed the head of the Talonii during that siege, causing the proverbial floodgates to open and unleash total war. It lasted for over a century, tearing the Talonii apart and causing much pain on both sides. By the time it had ended, countless members were dead or missing, and even more were left grieving for the loss of their loved ones.

As far as Tayna'len was concerned, she was left alone to rebuild the Talonii. She was unwilling to work with the older members who had perpetuated the conflict for so long and decided to start fresh. Over time, she met and fell in love twice, starting the Talonii anew. She had two sons, one with each father, and though their fathers were different, they treated each other as Talonii no matter what. Tayna'len had instilled in them the virtue of Talonii first, to protect those closest, so that what she went through for all those years would never repeat itself again.

These brothers would have children and expand the Talonii, each in their own way, but as one Talonii with two bloodlines. Their descendants have come to live in the lands of Celia'nor, some settling down and others wandering, yet never forgetting their blood ties. The current members of Py'lrie have fought to defend Celia'nor, and for their loyalty and dedication, they were rewarded as some of the most well-respected nobles in the land.

To the Py'lrie, going against your Talonii is a cardinal sin that will be punished severely, no matter the situation. However small, though, the memories of the mali are lengthy, and they will remind you for the rest of your life what you've done wrong. 

Betrayal of Friends & In-laws

The closest of friends are considered dear, although not akin to Talonii. They would protect them closely and be very loyal to them; for if one is not loyal to their friends, how could they be loyal to their talonii? Those who marry into the Talonii are treated as equals, although they would be cast out more easily for mistakes.

Natural & Unnatural Deaths

If one passes from natural causes, they are well taken care of during their dying days. The Talonii tries to fulfill any wishes and stays by their side until the end. It is not uncommon, though, for dying members of the Talonii to find it too unbearable to be with their loved ones before the end and to disappear abruptly. The Talonii itself assumes that when an elderly member disappears like that, they are leaving to die in solitude. 

The death of a Talonii member is a grave matter, and they would mourn their loss greatly. The Talonii mourn them day-to-day, with each day representing a year in the life of the member who passed. They do this out of respect and for the time they spent serving the Talonii during their lives.

The person assisting must be trained in first aid in case something happens. Sometimes, those who are not members of the Talonii are entrusted with this role, and it is considered a great honor.

Becoming an adult is an important and celebrated occurrence, and for the Py'lries, it occurs at the age of 30. To come of age means you are given the freedom to take whatever path in life, whether it be leaving and traveling or marriage.

Marriage

As far as the vow of matrimony is concerned, it is highly encouraged to find another High Elf to marry, and if you do not abide by this, it will be considered a mistake. It is not shameful, but it is discouraged. 

According to tradition, you are to be married facing the sea. In some instances, you may even be married on board an embarked ship! This stems from times when the hunted members of the Talonii fled, leaving many with no choice but to state their vows upon a ship. The marriage is to be approved and overseen by the head of the Talonii, and if it isn’t, it isn't considered official by the Py'lrie. 

Commemoration of Honor

When a member of the Talonii dedicates their life to warfare, there is a grand celebration, for it is considered a great honor to protect your land.

Body art and markings have a long history among the Talonii, with various meanings and serving as reminders, both good and bad. The two markings are "Fih Kae'leh" and "Malieir."

When a member of the Talonii recognizes the true meaning behind the words "Fih Kae'leh," they have it tattooed on their body in recognition. Most adult members of the Talonii have gotten this tattoo at some point, and it is considered a rite of passage by some.

They also have a deep, intrinsic connection to their Talonii and ancestors, often honoring them in times of need with shrines made for their ancestors, in particular Tayna'len Py'lrie and her two sons. However, their similarities end there, as they have very different ways to show these tendencies.

Elauthinleon's bloodline is quick to act and decisive in times of need, especially when it comes to Talonii. They are temperamental but not overly violent. They are far more sedentary, having settled down and grown to love the land they live on. Overall, they are far more disciplined than their cousins, with a bit of a stern countenance. They are more inclined to physical activity and exercise, generally being quite athletic.

Panithleon's branch, on the other hand, is free-spirited and artistic to the core. They are always on the move, seeking out the new and unknown so that they may experience it and learn more about the world they live in. Due to their less strict nature, they often have an easier time connecting with people they meet and befriending them. Their way of showing affection and love is through gifts.
