The Tanoshi Company, rather known as TANO-CO opens its doors for the very first time! Come one, come all! Check out the opening of our first shop! 

The TANO-CO shop has two floors of fun, the first floor being the main shops and a small Chii-Co [TANO-CO Branded] Arena and Garden. The second floor is complete with a seating area and Snack Bar for those who would like to battle with friends! This floor also contains a small library with TANO-CO books, art, and comics. Furthermore, there happens to be a smoking balcony for those who just can't sit still amongst all that Chii-Co action!

"If Hima-chan wants to start living, she guesses she'd have to start by spilling her guts first, yanno?"
A woman clad in a yellow kimono stood, cane in hand. 
The woman scratched at the back of her head, her brows furrowed and her nose scrunched. Though her tone remained light, it was clear she was nervous. Sick to her stomach.

"Maa, not literally or anything, yanno!? Hima-chan would prefer to keep herself mostly sort-of intact now that she's vowed to herself to live on and whatnot! Mattaku mou..."¹
 She laughed, flapping her hand around, in her usual joking manner, she'd sounded more carefree than ever now. As dire as this situation was to her, it was also just as necessary.

A heavy sigh, dropped shoulders, and an exceedingly tired expression. 

Get this over with.
 
She took a deep breath.

"Mmu... I guess I was about nine years old when it happened, na? Back when I still lived at Fukukaze."

Himawari was an energetic girl with a love of stories and performances, much as it ran in her family.
Creative, and cheerful, if only a little meek, she loved wandering around speaking with most who crossed her path.  
One day she met a kindly girl, more than a fair bit older than herself. Dark brown hair, and hazel eyes to match, she had an indescribable air to her.
 The older girl smiled warmly at Himawari, she sat plucking at a shamisen's strings. In her boredom, she gladly welcomed the little girl's chattering.
The girl with the shamisen introduced herself as Misae Endou.

"Ne, Himawari-chan, would you like to hear me play a song?"

Sounded the offer. Himawari was ecstatic as she loved music, her eyes sparkled with great interest. She sat down in front of the other, remaining quiet as her role of the audience.
Listening.
A nice melody on a lovely day.

---- "Just like that we had become ''friends'', yanno? That girl... she was so easy to talk to. I really looked up to her." ----

Like a baby duck, Himawari followed Misae around, mimicking her every move. She skipped along to keep up with Misae's strides.
This day she introduced the little girl to her partner, Yuusaku Satoh, a boy the same age as Misae. His hair was lighter than that of his partner, as was the case of his eyes, being a striking green.
He crouched down and ruffled Himawari's hair, grinning.

"Yo, ojou-chan."²

Yuusaku scratched at the back of his head a bit as Himawari gave uproar in response, stomping her foot into the ground she insisted she wasn't a child anymore, and demanded not to be treated like one.
Yuusaku hummed a bit, laughing as Misae did. He bowed forward, dramatically, exclaiming

"Aah, hai, hai! Kanben shite kudasai, Hime-chan!"³

---- "Yuusaku-san was... omoshiroi. That boy was a natural-born comedian! There wasn't a dull moment when all three of us hung out."⁴ ----

"Demo, maa..."⁵

Himawari hid her face in her hands, balling her fingers up to press her knuckles against her eyelids. Her foot tapped against the ground, leg bouncing.
She took yet another deep, shaky, breath, before sitting up straight once more.

"That—"

SEVERAL MONTHS LATER

THAT EVENING, HIMAWARI ROAMED OUTSIDE AS USUAL. IT HAD ALREADY BEEN A FUN DAY, BUT SHE WANTED TO PLAY MORE.
DOWN BELOW HER, AWAY FROM THE ROAD, STOOD MISAE AND YUUSAKU. THE AIR WAS TENSE, YUUSAKU LOOKED AFRAID, THERE WAS A HINT OF WORRY IN HIS EXPRESSION. AN ARGUEMENT ECHOED UPHILL, DROWNED OUT BY WIND.
HIMAWARI'S EYES GLISTENED WITH JOY AS SHE RECOGNIZED HER DEAR FRIENDS. SHE DASHED DOWNHILL, CALLING OUT TO THEM IN HER CHEERFUL VOICE. 

AWAITING THE GIRL WAS NOT A KIND GREETING, IT WAS NOT THE SAME SONG AND DANCE OF A HUG AND A TWIRL. INSTEAD, WHAT WELCOMED HIMAWARI WAS AN EERIE SILENCE. YUUSAKU'S FACE TWISTED WITH ANXIETY WHEN HE LAID EYES UPON THE LITTLE GIRL, WHO HAD SO EXCITEDLY PRANCED UP TO THEM, UNKNOWING OF THE DANGERS. WHEN MISAE TURNED HER HEAD TO MEET HIMAWARI'S EYES, SHE LOOKED EMPTY, DEVOID OF ALL KINDNESS WHICH PREVIOUSLY SHONE FROM HER. A HORRID SNARL CREEPED UP ON HER FACE, AN ANGER ONLY BEFITTING PEOPLE WHO TRULY HATED SOMEONE. WHAT GLEAMED IN THE MOONLIGHT WERE MISAE'S UNNATURALLY SHARP FANGS. THE HORROR OF HER COMPLEXION, THE AWFUL HUNGER IN HER EYES, CAUSED HIMAWARI TO FREEZE IN PLACE. AS THOUGH HER FEET HAD BEEN NAILED STUCK TO THE GROUND BELOW.

A WARNING ECHOED OUT, COMING FROM YUUSAKU, TELLING HIMAWARI TO RUN. THE GIRL SNAPPED OUT OF HER TRANCE, AND OBEYED. SHE TURNED ON HER HEEL, STUMBLING OVER HER LEGS AS SHE SPRINTED. FOR A MOMENT SHE TURNED BACK, LOCKING EYES WITH MISAE AS SHE STRUGGLED AGAINST YUUSAKU, WHO PREVENTED HER FROM CHASING AFTER HIMAWARI. YUUSAKU COULD BARELY HOLD HIS OWN AGAINST THE POWER OF MISAE, WHO FLAILED ABOUT ENOUGH TO KNOCK THEM BOTH ON THE GROUND. YUUSAKU PRAYED TO THE KAMI FOR STRENGTH, WHEN MISAE LUNGED UP TO BITE HIM. HE KNEW THERE WAS NO FIGHTING BACK. WHEN HIMAWARI SAW HIS EYES DEVOID OF HOPE IN THAT INSTANT, BILE ROSE IN HER THROAT. SHE GRABBED THE LARGEST ROCK SHE COULD FIND.

HIMAWARI'S MIND SPIRALLED WITH CHAOS AS SHE FOUND HERSELF RUNNING BACK  TO WHERE HER FRIENDS FOUGHT. YUUSAKU'S MOUTH FELL AGAPE, HIS FACE BLANCHING IN HORROR AT THE REALIZATION THAT THE GIRL WAS FULLY INTENDING ON RESCUING HIM. HIS FIGHTING SPIRIT FLOODED BACK, ADRENALINE CLOUDING HIS MIND, AS HE GATHERED ANY STRENGTH HE COULD, TO WRESTLE MISAE, TO DISTRACT HER.

HIMAWARI HAD ONCE AGAIN REACHED THE TWO. HER HEEL SLIPPED IN THE MUD AS SHE RAISED HER HANDS FAR ABOVE HER HEAD, CLUTCHING ONTO THE ROCK LIKE IT WAS HER LIFELINE. HER VISION WENT BLURRY AS SHE MADE EYE CONTACT WITH MISAE WHO LAY STRUGGLING IN THE GRASS, HIMAWARI SWUNG DOWN THE ROCK WITH ALL HER MIGHT.

THE FIRST STRIKE HIT MISAE UPON THE FOREHEAD, THE GIRL'S SCREAM ECHOED THROUGH THE NIGHT. YUUSAKU LOOKED UP AT HIMAWARI, HIS EYES WELLING WITH TEARS FROM TERROR AS HER OWN DID. 
SHE STRUCK AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN.
THE VISAGES OF HER FRIENDS BLED TOGETHER, HER MIND ONLY FOCUSED ON SURVIVAL, RESCUE. 
AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN.
REPEATED OVER AND OVER, TWENTY-FIVE TIMES, LONG AFTER ALL MOVEMENT HAD CEASED. 

⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘

Himawari stood staring off into the distance, her hands were cupping an object, though she wasn't sure what she was holding in this moment. A few cicada chirps, and a running of nearby river water comforted the girl's ears, as she stood catching her breath. There was a peace in her heart, the kind that one might have before waking in the morning, a sort of semi-conscious state.

Like everyone else, Himawari had to wake up.
A bob of her head, and suddenly the peace that had embraced her heart for this short moment washed over with dread, as the memories of the event that transpired slithered their way back into her mind.

She glanced down at her hands, noting she still held onto the rock she had grabbed. It dripped with blood onto strands of grass and mud below her, where Misae and Yuusaku lay as shells of their former selves.
Dead.
A barricade in Himawari's mind prevented her from completing the pieces of this puzzle, but she stood with murder weapon in hand, there was only one conclusion to come to.

She had murdered her friends.

Dazed, and tired, Himawari made her way away from the dreadful scene, arms falling limp to her side, letting the rock drop to the ground. She followed the sound of running water, stopping at a river where she crouched so as to begin cleaning the blood that stained her hands. Her reflection in the water warped with the action, dying red from the blood. 

Himawari stood up, limbs slack, she felt weak. It had not been her intent to hide the crime, she only did what felt natural, like her mind was attempting to make sense of the situation. Find a way to rationalize it.
The girl went home for she no longer had energy to play.

----"...I dont really remember the days after that. I think I was sick for a while."----
the woman laughed awkwardly, rubbing her temple. Her head ached as she recounted the experience.

"It didn't take long for okaa-san to realize something was wrong, yanno. Kedo I refused to say anything, so she told me to write it down at the very least. It worked! Maa... chotto dake."⁶
Himawari pinched her fingers together, huffing. She smiled in attempt to keep the atmosphere light, though it quickly fell the next moment.

"Yanno, despite everyone telling me I wasn't alone, I was really convinced that I was."

-ˋˏ ༻❁༺ ˎˊ-

"In that world, I am alone."
Something that always played in her mind, as though she lived in seperate realities.
A reality where Tanoshi Himawari was living a normal life, and a reality where she had committed her own greatest crime.

"And then... Otou-san."⁷
Himawari's lips trembled as she recalled the incident leading to her father's death.

"In this world, I am alone."
She was convinced the world around her was an illusion, so she couldn't understand why she should take in the words of the people around her, when they didn't know what reality she was in. Now the two universes that existed in her mind, had bled together and become one. All that comfort ushered upon her, and her siblings that day of Morikaze's passing, it fell on deaf ears for a long time.
A yokai, a former-yokai, and an oyashiman.
This time Himawari had not been the one who held the rock.
And yet, the guilt swirled around in her mind, mixing with the rage and despair of betrayal.

"Ano... It's given me a lot of long-term issues. I don't think that's exactly difficult to see, though. You probably figured that out yourselves, na? Back when my eyes were intact, I'd get brief hallucinations of them if I was stressed, yanno. Nightmares, mood swings, its like running on survival mode all the time. Hontou ni jamakusai yo!"⁸

Now that I think about it, even before I was blind,

When was the last time I truly saw a face?
Even my own, that I swore I'd always pass by in those horrible watery reflections. I couldn't make out any features, no lips, or eyes, or nose, just a warbled flat surface.
Not that it exactly matters anymore.
This really did a number on me, na?
I'll try and be more careful from now on.


"Mou, this really has been a stupidly long time coming. Karma got me good, yanno. Now Hima-chan has to pay the price for all the dumb decisions she made!"

Still, having said that, I'm not sure this has really cleared up for me, yet.
Even with all my family's kind words that beckoned me into the light once more.
I think I'm still afraid.


"Shikashi! Let it be known, even through all of this! To all of you in Yorumachi!"⁹

Even though I'm still not convinced.
Even though I'm scared of what the future holds.
Even though I'm tired.

The Geisha of the Setohana Okiya

Would like to invite the public to the annual Haganeki Festival

After years of quiet, the Geisha of Yorumachi have opened their doors and their fans to welcome the people of Azuras. With fresh faces and smiles, they would like to greet the pink spring blooms of the Haganeki with you.

Date, Time, Place

For this event, we shall close the smogger roads stretching from The Religious District to The Military District to allow for stalls and entertainment to be set up.

Stalls

• Stall rentals will be on a first-come, first-served basis when it comes to reservations. 
• 5 Mon for Citizens, 10 for Gaijin for Stall rentals
• All stalls must have at least one Haganeki Hot item to sell.

Events

• Haganeki portraits will be offered in the religious district
• Performances and music. 
• A floating lantern show.

We ask that you comply with Yorumachi laws and, if possible, review the laws before visiting the event.

These laws can be read in front of Yorumachi on their law board, as well as a more detailed book right next to the ferry.

TANO-CO Presents: Tanoshii Zatsugaku - 楽しい雑学

(A Trivia Game Show)

[!] This flyer was written in common tongue and sent by bird to all Citizens and Allies of the Kurai-Kuni Shugonate.

The Haganeki Neko in Yorumachi opens for a small show of Trivia! The Tanoshi Company, rather known as TANO-CO, is welcoming any and all who wish to participate!

If you're the thinking type, and enjoy a good challenge, I personally request you partake in this game to truly test your mental fortitude!

All questions and answers will be based upon Oyashiman knowledge and history, with minor hints towards Foreign.

Fees for participating are 10 Mina per person. Two teams of three are needed, so six people in total required to begin. 

There will be prizes for the winning team, including doubling your Mina and other various souvenirs.

Spectators are welcomed to watch for completely free!

Everything pertaining to rules and how to play will be taught on the day of the show.

We are set to begin at approximately; [Wednesday, May 20th, 5PM EST.]

Chii-Sen Mechanics

   Name: Chiisana Senshi / Chii-Sen (Little Soldiers)

   Objective: Hand-made poseable action figures meant to be played with other Chii-Sen for short battles, consisting of your own imagination. Fun Slice of Life RP. I made this as a possibly easier alternative to Chii-Kai for those with small brain <3. 

   Mechanics: Each Chii-Sen will be able to attack and defend as they please with lucky rolls. Unlike Chii-Kai, these figures are meant more for the imagination and come with no exact move list, so make sure your creativity is ready to shine and come up with some cool moves during your fights!

   Each player begins their game by rolling 1d20, whoever has the highest roll then proceeds to attack first.

• Attack mechanics; roll a 1d10, 1-3 is minor damage. 4-7 is base damage. 8 is double damage. 9-10 is double damage with another attack, so you do double damage and attack twice, damage only doubles for ONE attack.

• Defending mechanics; the defending player is able to roll a 1d10 against the attacker. If 8+ that defender is able to parry their opponent’s attack with their own for double damage. The parried attacker would then emote taking that damage and the defender and attacker roles will swap. If the defender instead rolls under an 8 in their 1d10 however, they take damage accordingly.

   Each round the players roll a 1d20 and continue on attacking and defending. The 1d20 will always decide on who is attacking and who is defending in each round. If there is ever a case of a tie, you will continue to roll until one of you wins. 

   All Chii-Sen does a base 3 Damage each attack, with the exception of minor damage being 1 Damage. if you luckily achieve double damage that would of course be 6 Damage in total. 

   All Chii-Sen has a base 25 health. There is no exception. The only differences between Chii-Sen are the aesthetic and visuals. All Chii-Sen is a base 1:12 (6 inches) scale, unless larger or smaller accurate figures were to be released. There are no differences in rarities for Chii-Sen, they are mainly made to be collected by those who like specific figures. All Chii-Sen is released in equal quantities, so simply stated; first come, first served. 

   Team mechanics; Chii-Sen are capable of forming teams of up to FOUR figures, though only TWO figures are allowed to be in play together while fighting. The more Chii-Sen you have, the more of an advantage you got. 

• Team battling; Each Chii-Sen is rolled for separately, and each have their own turns. This is to say, if you have two figures in play, you will roll a 1d20 for an attack/defend for one, and then another for the other AFTER your opponent goes at least one turn in between each of your figures moves. Your figures may help each other defensively or to attack together, though to achieve this, you roll a 1d100 if you win your 1d20 attacker or defender roll on both of your active Chii-Sen. In other words, you must either win both attacker rolls, or both defender rolls. If your roll is 80+ your Chii-Sen may help each other out for ONE round. Example; My Oni Chii-Sen has a Tengu teammate. My Oni is about to attack a target but wants its battle brevver Tengu to join. The Tengu leaps on the Oni’s back, they charge, and they both attack a Target. They deal damage equal to their individual 1d10 attack rolls.

The Will of Kato Oro

If you are reading this, then I, the great Kato Oro, am dead! About damn time death finally caught me, I’ve been flirting with her for decades now! But I am content with how I have lived. In my lifetime, I have achieved far more than I had ever dreamed of. I, a nameless orphan, with nothing to my name, somehow ended up a noble and the head of a clan! Can you imagine that? I couldn’t and still have trouble thinking about it. But before I go, I wish to impart some lessons on you youngsters. Some knowledge from your Ojisan.

Live with passion children. Whatever you do, make sure that spark is there. That flame will carry you far, it will be your light when you are lost. And when the drive starts to die down, that spark will reignite it. For me, I had two passions. The first was music, you know I never wanted to be a samurai. My Oyaji, Oijin, nominated me for the trials and I did not want to disappoint him. I still hope I haven’t disappointed him with my life path, but I suppose I’ll get to ask him soon enough! Music for me was comforting, it was what put my mind at ease. Playing my shamisen in city after city, letting my music be heard by the world was the dream and they’re memories I still cherish. The second great passion was smithing, taught to me by Oijin. Smithing presented another canvas for me to play around with. I could create fantastic works of art here as well, and both music and smithing helped shape me. Live with passion, and it’ll reward you greatly. 

The second great lesson I have is to walk with honour. Understand that your word has meaning. Do not hand it out so easily and understand that when an oath is made, it must be upheld. As a samurai, I took an oath to defend Kurai-Kuni and live by the Bushido Code. To falter on both of these oaths would have been an insult to my elders, and to you all, the remaining samurai and the ones to come after. I viewed myself as the worst samurai, but I would gladly die to defend my home and the people within. Remember to honour your oaths, they are worth their weight in gold.

The third great lesson is to honour and love your family. As a boy, I had no family. No mother or father to look after me. The slums raised me and taught me how to live. It was not until my grandfather Oijin took me in as a retainer that I learned what family was. Had he not, I am sure I would have grown into a criminal. A thief or murderer was surely the destination had he not taken me in. The Kato Clan was one of the greatest treasures ever bestowed upon me. Head my words, family will be your shield and sword when the time comes. Cherish and love them, for it is them who will be the first to go to war for you, and they will be the last ones to leave your side when it’s all said and done.

I’ve lived a great life, one filled with tremendous highs and deep lows. Many regrets linger in my mind and many triumphs repeat themselves. I am content with how I lived and think I did my best where I could. To all of Kurai-Kuni, the Samurai, Marines, and citizens, thank you for welcoming me in and standing by me.

THE DRY CITY

As Goro-Goro's torrential rain has ceased, the state of Kurai-Kuni announces the DROUGHT.

Scientists report humidity going down by 20%, causing the land to dry and crack. Every citizen is to get their water ration from the state, and those harboring more than what they need will be punished.

THE SOLUTION

The Miko are urged to make the Dragon-Kami of thunder and storms bless our island with rain once again. The Samurai have gone to their knees to pray to those orange ones.

SHUGO-SAMA Honma Botsugo, Dai-Godaime, Yasu-Tori of Nichi-Jin, Chairman of the Grub-Bucket, Yōbushi of Machiman, Father of the Land of the Heavenly Thunder, DEFENDER OF THE FARFOLK and the rightful Shōgun of Oyashima.

There were no words to describe his pain. The grief was all consuming. To be happy after witnessing such a thing, how could he ever fulfill such an unfair request? To the very end she had believed herself unworthy. Not enough. Talking as though getting to know her was some great thing, some great favour.

Had he done enough? No, he couldn't have- because if he had, why would she still have said such things in her final moments? What could he have done differently to have prevented this? Why couldn't he see what was happening right before his eyes?

In this moment, he chose what the last thing would be, that he would ever see. It would be her. The person he had completely and utterly failed, and wished more than anything, would still be alive. Or at least died knowing that despite her curse, she as a person was a blessing.

He couldn't see again, not with his eyes. He didn't want to. Those eyes- the last thing they would ever see, would be her. But he needed to see, too, he needed to not be impaired. Because if he couldn't fulfill his duty- wasn't that the same as saying that the shugonate was worthless to him? If the shugonate was worthless, why did she die?

Desperation rattled through his body. A mixture of grief- anxiety- hopelessness. What was he now? What would he do? He needed to be able to see, to be useful- to do as she wanted. He needed it- but he also never wanted to see again. Not with his eyes. Never again.

He had said that it would heal. That his wound would heal, that he'd likely see again- did he hope for that secretly- that he'd fail his own self imposed punishment?

The Spring of Shinka is brought on by shinkō, the development of one’s physical form. From the day we are born our shinkō begins. We learn to grasp, to crawl, to walk. The physical body develops rapidly in the first days of life. It requires nourishment both to grow and to sustain itself, but also challenges to firm muscle from fat.

If the body is not nourished, it will wither and die. Those that subsist on mana alone will find their form compromised, as is common amongst the practitioners of kuku mahō. Proper sustenance should consist of red meat, dairy, and eggs. Pork should be avoided as swine are unclean creatures. In the absence of meat, blood is the material essence of life and may serve as a substitute. Blood contains all that is required for shinkō, which is why many yokai are drawn to it as creatures lacking in material firmament. Practitioners of mahō no chi will likewise puddle in blood given its potency. However, chido users fail to realize that all that their mahō promises is what the body was capable of to begin with; they should have eaten more meat. Furthermore, drinking blood is vulgar in civilized societies and likely to spread contagion so it is best avoided.

If the body is nourished but not challenged, it will grow like a weed. High in volume, but without substance. A weed lacks strength; it propagates itself wherever it finds nourishment. While one may pluck a weed, it is just as likely to come back the next day. One may pluck a thousand weeds, and they will bring beauty to their village for a thousand days. If one strives to pluck every weed, then their shinkō will never cease. It is impossible to pluck every weed, it is the kani in which we all persist. It is by attempting such regardless that we experience shinkō; challenge necessitates development and development necessitates challenge. This experience is what allows us to learn what we are truly capable of. A man who expires before learning what their body is capable of is a pitiful thing.

If the body is both nourished and challenged, then shinkō is achieved. It is from shinkō that one may achieve the Spring; to exceed a limit. One and one’s ancestors toiled beneath their limitations, be it size, strength, agility, or perception. By shinkō, one gains the ability to surpass what was previously possible. It is a fundamental truth that all children learn this instinctively. One day they can only crawl, the next they can walk, then they might finally run. Each generation that ingrains this contributes to their descendant’s shinka. The body is thus cultivated of their ancestor’s shinkō, each increment raising the bar of what the next is capable of. It is the realization of this physicality that allows the Spring of Shinka to bloom, from which all other shinka arises.

Chō Shinka

The Summer of Shinka is brought on by the accumulation, pursuit, and usage of knowledge. It is accomplished when knowledge transforms into wisdom. Its beginning varies from person to person. Some may start when their thoughts can weave their first words, others when they are old enough to write their clan’s name. The mind requires a permanence of thought and idea coupled with the faintest ability to create abstractions. Not all learning is encompassed by the Summer, wisdom must be carefully cultivated in accordance with one’s profession.

One can spend a thousand years upon this earth and never realize the Summer. Likewise, one can diligently study the greatest scholars and scrolls and still never achieve the Summer. It is through one’s experiences that it is defined. To learn a mahō is no substitute for practical experience. One may learn its rhythm, its pace, yet have no concept of its application. Whether studying an adversary or one’s own weapons, there are unspoken rules and implications written into every action and inaction. To know them all is an impossibility. To attempt knowing them all invites insanity. One who has achieved this shinka knows their own, and knows them well.

With the accumulation of experiences, these useful grains of knowledge, one ferments a potent wisdom. Too much can poison the mind, too little renders one blind. Like a good sake, it is clear in both purpose and form. Wisdom by knowing what is essential to themselves, and tuning out what is not, is the clarity one should seek. Knowing the celestial movements of the Heavens is of paramount importance to a sailor, however, a warrior does not gain by dwelling upon such in the course of battle. One’s wisdom is specialized; one’s shinka is specialized. The Oni achieves the Summer at a base level; its most instinctual expression is in the mind of no mind.

To be ultimately ignorant is not the Summer. The truest realization of the Summer is when one’s accumulated knowledge transforms into collective wisdom. It is wisdom that transcends generations, such as gold being the bane of kegare. How many generations passed before this was learned none might say. Once this knowledge became the collective wisdom, however, it forever changed the manner in which kegare were fought; it became second nature. To contribute one’s own wisdom in this manner is the Summer of Shinka, pushing further the limits of knowledge for the next generation.

Kyūkyoku Shinka

The Autumn of Shinka is brought on by the crystallization of one’s mastery. It begins when one is of the shōnen age. Whether with Bisutofoma or by learning their father’s trade, these experiences accumulate into ability. Earning recognition coincides with the height of Autumn, as one reaches the pinnacle of their craft. Too, however, with this comes the narrowing of the path. Autumn is only truly ripe when the forest grows bare.

The forest is of one’s own potential, as it is realized it withers. With each step a leaf falls. This is the double-edged sword that haunts the mind of the elderly, for they have few leaves left. What mastery they have accrued has only drawn tight the noose; a forgone conclusion. This is why unrealized potential is the most bitter beverage; it is why humanity propagates and dominates. Time to realize his potential is more precious to a man than his lifeblood. His forest is already falling by the time he can step into it with mindfulness.

In this barren wood, one must persevere through the mire to attain their ultimate shinka, the summit of their mortal abilities. As in nature, Autumn must be preceded by Spring and Summer. They are the bedrock from which the forest grows. Without their development, the forest is sparse and pitiful. With their development, the forest is full and abundant. There is nothing more beautiful than the full Autumn when leaves hang in red, orange, and gold. This fleeting beauty is that of a life well lived, it is something that all seek to obtain for themselves. 

This is a shinka of contrasts, there is as much beauty as there is ugliness in it. When one holds onto the dreams of youth, they continue to radiate beauty. When one gives in to their own cynicism, they wither and dim. To guide this shinka one must envision with clarity the form they wish to take. Then one must pursue it without a single step back. Regret and indecision only serve to impede the natural progression of this shinka. The skills one masters in this pursuit redefine them. While they sever alternative paths, they define the path forward. By continuing to follow this path, even once all else has fallen, one achieves the Autumn of Shinka. It is from this achievement that the forest is revealed to us, so that we may learn from our ancestors and refine our own path through the Autumn of Shinka.

Saishū Shinka

The Winter of Shinka is brought on by death. It is only with such finality that the purpose of a life is determined. With purpose, the potential of a life is ended. It is bleak, it is stark, it is cruel. All shinka meet their end within the Winter. Yet, too is it from the Winter that the shinka of others may begin. The greatest of deaths pushes the next generation onwards, to aspire to ever greater heights. The aspiration of all is that their death may serve twice the purpose of their life. 

The Way of the Samurai is death; bushido is to live as though one were already dead. A thousand and one scrolls explain this truth, expanded upon by minds wiser than I. However, what few realize is this is not the worship of Nokumi-sama and her shinigami; it is not a code of death. In the practice of bushido, one transcends through their awareness of death, liberated to absolute freedom, from which it is possible to perfectly fulfill one's calling as a warrior. Such a liberated mortality grants one the final shinka, to surpass the limits of life. It is to do the impossible, to see the invisible. It is to contradict all contradictions. With one’s life, heart, and soul on the line all barriers fall. 

Death is inevitable for all. No power in the Heavens or upon this earth supersedes it. All such claims to the contrary are merely an extension of the Autumn; a return to the narrowing path. One should engage the Winter within the span of seven breaths. Only then one has determined their spirit to break on through to the other side. If one’s head is to be taken with certainty, then they should perform a final, single action with the same certainty. By such determination does one remain master of their purpose. Revenge is likewise the determination to kill, there is no long way around to it. Revenge is to be pursued with immediacy; it is best to dash in, a headlong rush. Such resolution is the onslaught Winter brings with it. 

The seasons change obliviously. Before long, one passes to the next. They are ever present, a facet of existence. By gaining awareness of them, may one consciously strengthen what they pass on. In this shinka is attained. The final act of the Winter is one which thrusts forward the frontier of possibilities. By it, a continuous progression can be maintained as those that come after reach further than those that came before. Even if such advancement is trite, it shall compound generation by generation. The Winter consumes all for this purpose, body, heart, and soul. One’s death is likewise consumed by Winter. To choose the time and place of death is a liberty few are spared. At this moment one is not powerless, however. In the exchange, one may write the final words of their tale. What is written shall become a mantra to the next; a fire lit in the depths of the Winter of Shinka.

Briefly, Esemono-Ai is a particularly short yet funny and dramatic play in which a Man and his Wife have a rather troubled marriage, the Man then drunkenly makes a mistake. This play is presentable for all ages and welcomes its showing to all of Azuras.

This Kabuki showcase is set to be Hosted in the Haganeki Neko, owned and operated by the Ugokoyama Clan of Yorumachi, Kurai-Kuni. While visiting the Haganeki Neko to watch the play, make sure you check out their renowned PAJINKO Machines, and the Haganeki Bar.

THE PERIOD OF MOURNING

As the late Shugo Honda had given his life to vanquish the corrupted mani sparked by druidic infighting, the nation of Kurai-Kuni shall be subjected to a mandatory mourning period of THREE DAYS. During this time openly weeping is permitted. Upon the third and final day, the funeral of Tsukinomiya Honda will be held. 

  ON SUCCESSION

As per the passing of the Shugo, a new head has been voted on during the Samurai council. The new Shugo and Warlord of the Land of the Heavenly Thunder has been chosen to be BOTSUGO of clan HONMA.

    To my Family, the Tanoshi. I share a story as we begin our ascent in the History of Yorumachi. I, Yokaze of Tanoshi, The Black Kabuki of the Night Winds, Heiso of the Marines, Owner of Tano-Co, and House Head of Tanoshi… was not always one with the Kabuki as I am now. I was not always a Tanoshi. Long before I arrived on the mainland, more commonly known as Azuras; I lived a filthy, lonesome, cowardly life. I begged for my food, I rummaged through other’s belongings, I stole and then lied when confronted. My stay in Fukukaze, Oyashima was nothing but bitter hate towards authority and sheer ignorance of the life I could have lived. 

    As any day, I sat in the Village street, alone, waiting for someone to flick a Coin to me. I watched as the usual common folk paved through the roads, carrying their workloads and food for their families. It angered me. It fueled a long-held jealousy I carried… not because I wanted what they had in their hands or on their backs, but because I wanted what they had at Home, a Family. Every day I would gaze upon the world and only see the anguish in which came with it, that was until a clunk in my Bowl was heard - | CLINK | - a coin had been dropped for me. I looked up and a brightly colored man stood before me, a small statured man but vibrant and large in his aura. Dressed in bright and dark colors of Green, the man was a Kabuki, Green Hair and a wide smile. He introduces himself to me; “Ohayo Yosei-ling… I am Morikaze of Tanoshi. Where are your Parents?” He then questions as a perk of his Head followed; I look at him then strike my gaze away… as if dismissing his question. I was only but a Boy who hoped for a future of patience, compassion, and the Honor of a Family. I wasn’t interested in speaking about the past or simple introductions. He places a hand onto my Head, ruffling my Hair as if we knew each other for years. “Yooo, Yosei-ling. I want to help you get some food. My Tsuma would kill me if I walked by.” Something I haven’t heard in a while… ‘I want to help you’. I looked up at the Man with a Dull expression, not expecting much. “Arigatogozaimasu…” I spoke simply. In that moment, even though I couldn’t feel it, my life was altered.

    A few weeks pass by, and it becomes evident to Morikaze that I had no home or a family to go to. I didn’t have a father to work and provide for us; I didn’t have a mother to fix clothes and feed us. It was clear to him I needed guidance. Ayame, Morikaze’s Wife, took me in almost instantly. She made sure my clothes were patched and I was fed. She let me sleep outside, under the cover of their straw-roofed tool shed. She gave me someone to speak to. I learned what it was to truly communicate with another living being. I was given a chance to live. Morikaze was hesitant with his acceptance of me, so he left everything to Ayame to tend to when it came to me. Eventually she shared his reasoning. Morikaze never liked Elves, we believe he feared them or in short, were jealous. I think he felt inferior to them. So, he kept his distance from me. I understood, though I continued helping Ayame with her work. She kept me fed and housed, with that I didn’t need Pay. In time, I found myself becoming a Third in the Tanoshi household. Ayame constantly called me Yokaze. It made me happy. A name given to me that meant something, not just the usual disrespectful terms shouted at me on the streets. 

    Eventually I was sat and nearly interrogated by the two Tanoshi. They concussed me with questions about my past, about my parents, who I was. I cleared my throat and peaked my head up, using what I'd been taught by Ayame in practice; “I-I never met them. I have an Ototo out there, demo I haven’t seen him in years. I was raised by my Village until I was discarded.” It seemed to settle the concerns as later on, days later… Morikaze and Ayame brought me into their family. They adopted me. They gave me a Name and Parents to remember. 

    Months fly by, I am constantly learning and I am consistently growing. Morikaze opened up more to me, he began showing more of his Fatherly side. A change I wholeheartedly accepted. He taught me what it meant to be an Oyashiman. He forced me to get up on my own when I fell, he never helped me, though he showed me how. He gave me the confidence to try and succeed or fail, either way I knew it was up to me. My life was swapped, Months ago I snuck through the shadows, I stole and cheated. Now I was becoming a productive citizen. I helped Father and Mother with their work, I had my own chores, I was given things I never had before like my own Bed. Everything felt how I always dreamed… until the day Father spoke of leaving us. He mentioned a new world named Azuras which is where my grandfather was, his Father. For weeks he prepared us and our home for his departure. I felt like I was losing my home and Family. I felt lost once again. Though he promised he would return, he said he would write… and he did. Every so often he came back for weeks at a time, and every time he left months flew by and another Tanoshi-ling came to be. The family was always growing. All of you were born and life was forever grounded with meaning. I knew as your oldest brother, and as I came of age, I had to do something and so I wrote to Father in one letter: “Otousan. I wish to join you in your life in Yorumachi as you call it… Tanoshi grows, and we need to speak.” However, the letter was never received, nor was one sent back. 

    Once again, Months went by and no word from Father was received, other Tanoshi-lings already left Fukukaze to join him in Yorumachi. Yet I stayed home with Mother, I meant to lend aid in filling Fathers household Positions. Eventually I grew tired of waiting, so I chose to take my own adventure across the vast Ocean which separates Azuras and Oyashima. Weeks, and then Months go by and my charter ship finally makes land; a thud of the wooden craft was heard - | THUNK | -. I awake from my restless sleep amongst the waves to see a vibrant scene, a Dock and Shipyard directly before me. A Brightly up lit sign shown throughout the Rain which seemed to constantly shine, it read; YORUMACHI. I knew, finally after so much time I could see Father. Though my hope was quickly broken. I arrived to find my siblings, my fellow Tanoshi-lings in upset and distraught… the time I never got back my letter, the time I spent worrying… Father was spending it as a Yokai. His secret life being exposed within the city and ultimately leading to his demise… all before I could say what I wanted to say, before I could see him once more. It pained me worse than anything before, though it brought me Hope in the same. The pain meant I had something I cared for, someone I loved. That is something I never had before Morikaze and Tanoshi. 

    Per his wishes, Father was eventually burned away atop the Yorumachi cliffs. Cactus Green and a Bottle of Hirano Brand Sake thrown into the blaze as he went. He left this world exactly how he wished. I laid it to rest and found peace with it, as I know he did. Eventually the time came for me to fulfill my role as the eldest son and become House Head. I graciously accepted the position with the voting of my fellow Tanoshi-lings. I was proud that day, more than I have ever been. Every day since I have sought to drive Tanoshi into the best future that I possibly can.

    Life has changed yet I continuously have hope. My mind has evolved throughout the years. I am now the same age as Father was when he left us. Now I have begun my own path in life. My future is set and I let the strings that hold everything together steer me. Every day I write in my Journal and speak of you all and this life, one day when I leave this world and pass onto the next, I will leave my writings behind. A future forged in determination and fortitude, a Yosei turned strong from weak, Hope given to the Hopeless. I am now who I am meant to be. I am what I always dreamed of; Important to someone. Tanoshi will stand strong through the times to come, nothing will stop the path set for us. I have faith in all of my siblings, in all of my family. Tanoshi may be but wee Kabuki, but we are also Patriots. Your State needs you. Tanoshi needs you. Forge your path and be a guiding light to those living in the dark. 

    My journey has been long, and it has been trying. I know there is much I have left out from these writings, however there is still much to do, much to accomplish. My heart is with you all, my body will provide strength for as long as it is capable. My dreams are steadily being fulfilled, life has a fine way of showing your path to you when you need it most, not when you want it to. I only ever ask of you one thing; Continue. If you do, I can guarantee your life will become what you dream of most. As Present Day is here, I continue my work to establish Tanoshi into the destiny it so deserves, that which is to become a Clan. As we all mark our own trails through the Jungle of life it amounts to the success of us in entirety, this is what will make us strong. If there is one thing I know now, it’s that Tanoshi will proceed to set its name in the stones of Yorumachi as the Greatest Kabuki Family.

TO ALL OF AZURAS - TANO-CO WELCOMES YOU TO THE FIRST CHII-KAI CHAMPIONSHIP!

All Descendants alike - minus Evildoers of course, are invited to our Showcase of Chii-Kai for completely Free! There is no entrance or viewing Fee. The only requirements to Play is to have a Chii-Kai, these are sold in the Tano-Co Machine next to the Teahouse and Bank in Yorumachi, apart from this just show up and you're in! This includes the Residents of Kurai-Kuni and any Foreigner in which are allowed in our Lands.

The Chii-Kai Championship will be held at the Kato Clan Teahouse in the Capital of Kurai-Kuni, Yorumachi. Food and Beverages served by the Teahouse will also be available for consumption during the games and any bystanders viewing. We are set to begin the Championship in Two Kami Years!

Please be sure to check out the Chii-Kai Game Rules beforehand to have an understanding of how this game is meant to be played! 

The Championship will start with a Total of Ten [10] Players; and we will end with a Total of Three [3] Players. The First and Second place positions will be decided amongst the Championship Finals. The Third place position will be decided amongst a Game played before the Finals.

Every Championship Bout will include Two Games being played simultaneously, although there may be more in a Bout. This is to prevent us from being there for Ages while also keeping it suspenseful and fun. If you get bored of one game, just go check out the other!

The Winner of the Chii-Kai Championship will be bestowed the Title of - First Chii-Kai Champion. Including other various Prizes listed Below.

• First Place ~ 125 Mina, Custom One-of-One AMETHYST Chii-Kai, and a One-of-One Booster Pack to match.
• Second Place ~ 75 Mina, DIAMOND Chii-Kai, and an Exclusive Booster Pack.

• Third Place ~ 50 Mina, GOLD Chii-Kai, and a Pre-Released Booster Pack.

[!]When one happened to gaze upon this, they noticed it being a small pamphlet of Rules and Mechanics for some sort of Game. [!]

ON THE SUBJECT OF:

“小さな怪物” - Chiisana Kaibutsu - or in short format; “Chii-Kai”.

- The Chii-Kai Tabletop Battle Game Rules -

• All Chii-Kai have a base 15 Health. - Unless stated otherwise on your Chii-Kai's move list.
• Chii-Kai can be played by anyone - Oyashiman, Junmuran, or Foreigner. Chii-Kai is rated E for EVERYONE.
• All Chii-Kai come with ONE potion to Heal itself 5 HP during a Fight.
• All Chii-Kai have ONE Emote per Attack. - Unless stated otherwise on your Chii-Kai's move list.
• Anyone can Battle with Chii-Kai as long as they obviously have a Chii-Kai. Only One is needed. Though- the more you have on a Team; the better.
• There are no Attacker or Defender roles in this game, the Opponents have mutually agreed to the Fight so rather it is left up to fate and chance. Attacks and Stuns or Blinds Only. The only ‘Defense’ in this game is the chance of winning against a Stun roll.
• A Fighter can use their Chii-Kai as long as they want in a battle, but ONLY ONE can be in at a SINGLE time. A Fighter may swap their Chii-Kai out ONLY when they have an Action point (this is discussed later in the Doc.) - and when they of course have another Chii-Kai.
• There is also a BUFFER TIME between moves- For example, if you use a move one round, you CANNOT use that same move the next. You MUST use something else. After that round is over - you're free to use the same move again.
• TEAMS - If you have more than one Chii-Kai on a Team, the Chii-Kai currently in play gains ONE more Potion to use during their Fight. This amounts to TWO Potions being able to be used. Only able to be used ONCE in a Round and ONLY by the Chii-Kai deployed on the Field.
• BOOSTER PACKS - These are only able to be used when you have an Action Point, or your Chii-Kai is under [8] Health. Only ONE card from a Booster Pack can be in play by a Player at one time. Each Individual Card in a Booster Pack can only be used ONCE in an entire Fight. These are sold separately from Chii-Kai. Every Booster Pack has its ordained Abilities written on its Label.
• On the subject of Winning and Losing. A Pair may Gamble their own Chii-Kai in a fight, when one loses, they give their own up, when one wins, they now have two Chii-Kai. - This is to stabilize the market and to incentivize battling and purchasing new Chii-Kai. - If one doesn't want to risk this that is okay, but this game is still a Gamble. To truly battle with meaning, one should make a Bet - this can be for Mina, to settle a Dispute, or even more expensive - ST Materials. All in All - there must be Risk and Reward.

Battle Mechanics -

• Each round both players roll a 1d20, whoever has the highest roll then proceeds to roll again which will be a 1d10. 1-8 = Regular Attack move and Damage. | 9-10 = Attack move + Action. Actions can be healing your Chii-Kai, swapping it out for another, or using a NO DAMAGE power on YOUR Chii-Kai (no blinding or stunning an opponent with Action.) this is NOT a second attack. Alternatively- one can use this Action point to DOUBLE their Attack move DAMAGE instead. Though, they would no longer be able to use this Action for anything. The Action point is able to be saved for THREE rounds and can only be used on ONE round.
•  If there is ever a case when someone rolls 9-10 back-to-back, you can only have ONE Action Point. For example; if you roll a 9 then decide to keep your Action, then next round you roll another 9 - That Action point is now GONE, mainly so you cannot use your Action that round then instantly have another waiting… so make sure to use your Action points swiftly just in case not to lose any.

• If there is ever a chance when a couple TIES their rolls on the 1d20 before an attack - The attack will then go to whoever has the rarer or better Chii-Kai, they proceed to roll their 1d10. This is because logically speaking - when two forces come into mutual contact with each other, the stronger of the two forces will inevitably win. 

• If there is ever a chance the couple TIES, and they also have an equal level Chii-Kai, then they will simply just roll a 1d10 and the highest number wins, roll until a winner.

• All moves can be freely used when seen fit - However with the exception of your Chii-Kai’s Special Move. This is only able to be used ONCE PER FIGHT each, if you have TWO Special Moves then you can only use ONE at a time in a Round, so choose wisely. Usually your Chii-Kai’s ‘S.M’ does 5 Damage, others can be different depending on the Chii-Kai. Moves marked ‘S.M’ are your Special Moves.

• Stuns and Blinds are always ONE round long unless stated otherwise. Mechanics - when someone casts a Stun or Blind move, they roll a 1d10, the person being Stunned or Blinded also rolls. If the soon to be Stunned rolls THREE or more HIGHER than your own Stun roll, then they win that roll. - RP defending against or leaning into the Stun or Blind; or being the one delivering it.

• When a Player uses a Stun or Blind Attack, that attack is unable to be used for [2] Rounds. This is to Limit Stun-Locking your Opponent.

• Play Mats - When used with Chii-Kai they offer mainly Aesthetic, but when paired with its Matching Chii-Kai Figurine - ONLY this Figure Gain's an additional [5] Health. On top of this, ALL Chii-Kai is given [1] more Round to hold an Action Point, for a Total of [4] Rounds. This is for any Chii-Kai using a Play Mat, even if the Play Mat is your Opponent's. 

• For purposes of Understanding; Chii-Kai are small figurines with certain abilities. They are crafted usually of wood, tiny pieces of metal, and paint. All Chii-Kai come in separate RARITIES - the Hierarchy is as follows from Most Common to Most Rare; BRONZE, IRON, GOLD, DIAMOND, EMERALD, AMETHYST.
• BRONZE is the Most Common Chii-Kai.
• IRON is a Less Common Chii-Kai.
• GOLD is more of a Rare Chii-Kai.
• DIAMOND is for Harder to Find Chii-Kai.
• EMERALD is for Two of a kind Chii-Kai.
• AMETHYST is for One of a kind Chii-Kai. 

• The Tanoshi Family of Yorumachi, Kurai-Kuni is domestically known as a Kabuki Family. Usually seen with Bright Colors and Pale White skin, they are definitely Theatrical and seen amongst the Crowd.

• The Tanoshi Family is headed by Tanoshi Yokaze, the Black Kabuki of the Night Winds. - After some time under an Internship at the GRUB BUCKET serving under - Honma Ichiro, Yokaze began his journey of a Business-Yosei and created TANO-CO, The Tanoshi Company. 
• Yokaze started production of his Lifelong Dream for a Tabletop Battle Game, including Figurines and Play-mats. This is where Chii-Kai comes into play. Yokaze always loved wood-working and craftsmanship - so he thought “What if I combine the Business with Pleasure…”. This is how the Chii-Kai were born. Amongst many puffs of the Hookah inside the Haganeki Neko, and pacing back and forth… the Kabuki came up with his first Finalized Design… - THE GORO-GORO CHII-KAI.

So, to wrap this up, Tanoshi began production of a Complete line of Chii-Kai… Yokaze hoped the Game would continue being played for Generations to come…

On the End of Conscription

The Stratocracy thanks the brave enlisted and conscripted marines for their work over the last 100 months. Through twelve and a half cycles of the Hachi Chishi, the nanban pirates have been punished for their trespasses against ourselves and our allies. All dissidents have been quelled with a tanegashima bolt put between their deceitful eyes. With no need further for mobilization, the conscription order is officially declared over. All conscripts or enlisted may report to Skull Admiral Kato Ena to be relieved of active duty and made a Reservist to be called upon in times of emergency of future conscription. We encourage all of those relieved from active duty to invest their lives towards enterprise during this era of peace.

A specialized party of samurai, ronin and enlisted shall be put together to continue the hunt for the Kumora that shall not require the conscripted.

On The End of Travel Restriction

The Kiba Shotō Strait has been secured through the price of enemy skulls. As well the Badlands and Urguani Alps have been depopulated. With it, travel of shimin shall no longer be restricted across the continent though we encourage shimin to be weary traveling the roads on account of terrorist nanban reprisal. Travel with a battle buddy is recommended. 

On the Reinstatement of the Sword Law 

With conscription over and the nanban threat eradicated, the Sword Law of the Capital shall be reinstated. All non-Warrior class shimin (those who are not Samurai, Onnamusha or Ronin) must keep their swords sheathed while within the capital walls of Yorumachi unless in times of emergency. A sword shall be defined as a bladed weapon over 11 inches (or .9 shaku) that is not fastened to a haft. We encourage shimin to bear other weaponry instead such as the Kanabō/Tetsubō, Naginata or Yari.

I had arrived upon your shores many moons ago as part of a two-stage robbery. First, your dull temples and dwellings in the countryside have been made more empty. Many of which already contained nothing of value, except shrines and cattle. But I did discover the occasional weapon to add to my growing collection. Specifically inside the Kato residences whose homes stretched far underneath the ground. I have spat upon your gleaming armor that gathers dust while on display, muddied your temple’s floors with my horse, and left black smudges from coal on your prized katanas that lay in their dedicated display chambers. While I was discovered by someone wearing a mask in the hills. I do believe their horse never had a liking to them. That individual is now somewhere amongst the jagged shoreline of your land. My daemon-steel longsword could have ended their life if needed, but I was hoping to perhaps end it in a more peaceful manner than that fate.

Second, the inner city and residences were targeted. If the countryside was kept secure from those called ‘gaijin’, then the center was left similarly to Norland. Your crank crossbows, katanas, and strange bat-like weapons will be repurposed rather than being gawked on occasion. Your metals will supply our blacksmiths, and your sentimental items will be sold for someone else to gaze upon. The land you stand upon will serve to profit the dwarves that you had slain with the Empire. Not that your capital ever once held the same luster that Urguan once held. Your roads are a bleak mixture of gloom and melancholy which parallels an aspiration corrupted by fanaticism.

My kin whose heads were left to weather upon crude spikes at the capital gate will be avenged in due time with your deaths.

I, Obok of clan Metaldrinks, would like to invite settlers for the still-in-construction crustacean fishing village Shiroi yá (White Cliff) amongst Kiba Shotō (the Fang Archipelago).


If you are interested in catching lobsters on those sun kissed islands, gazing out at the clear blue waters and living in a low taxation environment that is pleasing to the eyes,  then send a letter to me and we can arrange a meeting.


The main religion of White Cliff is pantheon spiritualism, also known as Pretenders who all, vye amongst themselves to one day become the Pantokrator.

 

There are however, some terms that must be fulfilled listed below:

- While humans, elves and orcs are welcome, those of dwarf kind will need special permission from the Shugo to settle within.

- White Cliff is a place of spirituality, while worship of the pantheon is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged to engage with the spirits.

- Respect the rights and commands of the Samurai of Yorumachi (Night City)

- Not accepting political partisans

- Voidal Practitioners must find peace within themselves that they will never be allowed to make tears in reality, their pylons however may be discussed for the purpose of keeping any atronach alive that they may own.

- No practitioners of dark magics (including what is more commonly known as blood sorcery)

- No servants of the betrayer (Aka no yokai)

- Settlers and residents will be expected to rise up in the defence of the village if it is in danger

- Harm to any turtles in the area will not be tolerated and will result in death by having rocks tied to their legs and then shot into the ocean with a catapult, they are important to the local eco system.

The Great Heavenly Storm Auction

For many years, the Great Chibi War has disrupted the noble exchange of oddities between adventurers and collectors alike. In person auctioneering - the pride of the Urguani people - had all but vanished with wartime posture. The Human realm too has been preoccupied with the conflict, with much of its populace dedicating their mon for the purposes of supplying their troops. War stifled business, and my merchant’s heart grew heavy with boredom.

Now, the Great Chibi War has concluded with a decisive victory for the heroic Marines of Kurai-Kuni and its Imperial Benefactors. It is thus that I am excited and proud to announce the FIRST AUCTION beneath the Heavenly Storm. I, Danzen of the Ugokoyama Clan, welcome any and all aspiring merchants, adventurers and noblemen to the capital of Yorumachi to partake. 

The event shall be held within the Haganeki Neko and its Kabuki Theatre. There, guests may purchase drinks and engage in games of chance with Ugokoyama staff. Every Kami’s Hour, the theme of the auction shall shift between one of three categories, and conclude with the third. The categories are as follows:

Magical Bobbles

This constitutes any item bearing an enchantment, regardless of origin. This includes Void, Blood Magic, and/or miscellaneous enchantments. The Ugokoyama Clan reserves the right to refuse any submission that could potentially afflict other beings with plagues or curses.

Knick-Knacks, Trophies, and Relics

This constitutes any item devoid of “material” value. Most often, these manifest as prizes won from fallen beasts, or which bear historical value. Miscellaneous items and Art Vouchers shall also fall into this category.
