Ever since its inception as a fledgling nation, the Celiadiraar have been a backbone of Celia’nor. Wrought not from peaceful resolution, but rather from armed conflict, the Principality has always seen it strongly necessary to uphold a large military in order to preserve the cohesion and safety of the country. From the days where Ivarielle the Great led the elves that would be Celia’norian to the west to present-day, the military of Celia’nor has evolved and changed, but always remained a staple. Now, in our nation’s modern state of affairs, the Diraar seek to expand our ranks, to reach new heights never before seen for the institution, and to allow the Celiadiraar to compete with even the strongest of armies globally. Therefore, this missive is directed to all Celia’norians and otherwise - folks who may be inclined to dedicate themselves to such a cause as protecting their nation, or whatever motivation may exist in their hearts for joining our great Diraar.

The Celiadiraar, for a prospective joiner, yields many opportunities. Perhaps first and foremost, it shall place them among a large group of those martially inclined - joining the Diraar shall surely result in many opportunities for one to further themselves in their strength and prowess. Another yield one might expect is rise in social status - no matter one’s birth, the Diraar offers an opportunity for citizens of Celia’nor to attain a valued place in society, being evaluated by prowess alone, regardless of the place they had held before. Especially proficient Diraar, those who have climbed to the higher ranks, could be considered among the upper echelons of society, even if they are not necessarily from one of the noble families in Celia’nor. Therefore, if you who read this consider yourself one that protects others, and wishes to do so on a regular basis - consider these opportunities, and the Diraar. A future surely awaits there for you.

No matter what your skillets or inclinations are, the Diraar have use for you. From those proficient in strategy to herblore to scouting to voidal magics, there are appropriate places within the military for those of all walks of life, each individual’s unique talents surely being a great aid to whatever unit they are a part of.

The Duty of the Diraar

The duties of the Diraar are many, serving as the sentinel of the Principality, but also as a weapon. A typical Diraar might find themselves upholding various tasks within the nation, such as guardship, regular patrols of the Principality’s roads, and the driving out of whatever malignant forces may find themselves within the territory of Celia’nor. Above all of this, however, is the Celiadiraar’s role as the standing military of the nation, and thus it represents the full-fledged power of the nation, both in offense and defense. Any prospective Diraar should expect to be a part of the upholding of Celia’nor as a nation and the fulfillment of its interests, through large conflict and other means.

Chain of Command 

Mordu’lar

Mordu’lar is the rank bestowed upon the commander of the Celiadirar charged with keeping the Realm of Celia’nor safe alongside all of its vassals and people who reside within the domain of the Ibarellans,they have the utmost authority of military matters within Celia’nor and commands all the military forces under the banner of Celia’nor, They are to be addressed as Mordu’lar at all times and their commands are absolute

Anih’wy & Anih’why

Translating to the right and left hands, the Anih’wy and Anih’why are the two officers that assist the Mordu’lar in the command of the Celia’diraar. These individuals are equal in rank and oversee the Parir and ensure that there is sound leadership in the absence of the Mordu’lar in times of peace. The Anih’  are responsible for coordinating operations at all times of day and preparing the Parir for tasks that they may be assigned.

Parir

Parir is the rank given to the officers within the Celiadiraar responsible for the organization of all troops within the celiadiraar, they are also expected to host trainings and patrols around the city, they have the authority to promote Fiyem and can also enact justice on those within the Realm who break the laws and need to suffer the consequences of their acts. 

Diraar

The Diraar are the regular troops within the Celiadiaar who are trusted to police the city and outlying areas, apprehending criminals within the borders, they have shown their worth as soldiers and are trusted on the battlefield, these troops take orders from Parir as well occasionally directly from the Mordu’lar, they can also give basic orders to fiyem 

Fiyem

The Fiyem are recruits who have just enlisted within the Celiadiraar and yet to take the (scar) and the lowest rank of the Celiadiraar, they are often given the duties of simple guarding within the city and gate duty aswell as following the lead of their superiors in more complicated situations 

Oath and Atheleons Mark

For all the years of Celia’nors existence the oath and Atheleons mark is a pinnacle of what the Celiadiraar is and stands for and what we must do to ensure the realm of Celianor is protected in life or death.

“On this day under the gaze of Ivarielle and Illarion I swear to uphold the just law of Celia’nor and swear to abide by all orders given by the Mordu’lar whether it is at cost of my life or my comrades, i swear to ensure the safety of all those who live under the gaze of the monarchs and will not waver or leave my station unless death calls upon me.”

Directly following the oath the Diraar will be required to conduct Atheleon’s mark by cutting their hand with a cut from one side of the hand to the other deep enough to leave a scar that will show the unwavering loyalty to the Crown and the Mordu’lar, this Atheleon’s mark will also be the reminder for the celiadiraar of what they fight for and who, it represents your family your friends and all people who cannot fight for themselves that is the meaning of the Scar.

Articles of Conduct

The code of the Celiadiraar is what we the Celiadiraar abide by and what shapes our actions and our service to justice and the crown throughout the course of history to this day and all days to come

Article One. Thou shall swear to uphold the laws and the civility of the homeland.

Article Two. Thou shall not commit heinous acts towards another brother/sister-in-arms, civilians, or tourists.

Article Three. Thou shall place themselves before the blade of another to protect those who they have vowed to protect.

Article Four. Thou shall not defy the will of the crown and the Mordu’lar

Article Five. Thou shall not divulge private information to the public given to one by the crown or the Mordu’lar.

Article Six. Thou shall raise their blade in times of war, for the prosperity of the homeland.

Article Seven. Thou shall not steal the resources of the homeland for personal gain, nor shall thou misuse the resources given to them.

Article Eight. Thou shall gladly give up their lives for the sake of the crown and the homeland.

Culture and Traditions

During times of war it is common place for a member of the Celiadiraar to decorate there helm with the colors of there noble house to represent their bloodline and show honor to their family

Hunt and Feast

Every decade a Hunt outside Fi’andria is held to celebrate our endeavors and victories in that decade, It can also be a way to celebrate the lives of lost soldiers that died in the line of duty, When the hunt is concluded a feast will be had of whatever was killed 

Armaments

When a Fiyem is promoted to Diraar and have received Atheleons mark they are given a sword, This sword would be called the “Fang of the Diraar”

The Darkening of armor

When you first receive your set of armour when you become a fiyem it is clean, shiny, and silver, But as you spend more years in the Celiadiraar your armour will darken, this would happen because the armour is designed to darken the more it is used and this is a distinguishing feature of the Veteran Diraar
