This momentous occasion shall take place upon the deck of S.S Arowyn at the Port of Blackvale, commemorating also the new ship’s first voyage. Let all friends of House Whitewood join together for this momentous occasion, celebrating the youngest daughter of the Silasian countess and her husband.

The Lady Whitewood will open the ceremony with the christening of the S.S Arowyn with a bottle of champagne, to bless the ship with good fortune. 

| TRIAL OF RITTERIK |

Aboard the vessel, Lady Adele must undergo the traditional investiture of the heir, just as all the Whitewoods have before her. Lady Adele is to present her Trial of Ritterik to all who gather. In displaying her cultivation of martial pursuits, erudition, and the arts, Adele will receive her ceremonial Silasian arkasan.

Guests are invited to board the ship for a brief ride on the ocean to enjoy the salty breeze. An assortment of foods and drinks will be served to guests while all are entertained with music and games. Activities will include:

• PEARL HUNTING : Try your luck in finding a pearl from an assortment of clams!
• BOBBING FOR ROSES : Dip your head to try and grab an illustrious rose. The gold roses are blessed with fortune!

The grand finale of the celebration shall take place with contestants on the water, charging boats at each other in an aquatic joust. Favors may be bestowed on the contestants and the winner of the tourney will receive a 300 mina prize!

The purpose of the Wargames is to sunder those of valour and tempered steel from those whose gifts bend toward stratagem and design. For two years [two weeks] in the measure of the field, shall the trials endure wherein an array of contests is set forth. From these participants are the worthy drawn, chosen to serve by merit proven beneath strain and spectacle alike. Thus is the Crusade ordered, its hierarchy rendered as follows;

The War Council;
Chosen by His Holiness alone, composed of sovereign Lords and commanders of high esteem.

The Honour Guard;
Drawn from the honour trials, sworn as the Pontiff’s immediate shield and vigilant wards.

The Vanguard;
Those risen from the Wargames, set to the frontlines where the clash is fiercest.

The Reserves;
Held in readiness, called forth in hours of siege or grievous loss, when the line falters.

“We will not be having any more children until you can prove that you can be a good father to our existing ones, Justinyn.”

“I will Anastasya, I will.”

It was no secret that Lady Anastasya Ruthern’s marriage was imperfect. She made sure that everyone in her vicinity; any one who would listen, heard of her woes. She was blunt, honest, mean at times, all things in between. She saw it as a rite of passage to complain. 

Once again, she found herself with child. Her fourth pregnancy in five years. Even the strongest of women would be beaten down by the constant state of being pregnant. Her husband had made good on her promise; to be more present, to be there for her while she juggled the children he helped create. 

Her situation was much different than her own upbringing. Her brothers and her had a faculty of servants and mistresses overseeing their upbringing and education. Her parents, like most noble title-holders, were able to focus on their work without the distraction of a hoard of children at their feet. 

This was not the case for Anastasya. Her children shared one nanny, for that is what they could afford. That singular nanny was responsible for the care of toddlers while also tutoring the elder children. It was a heavy burden on the nanny. It was a heavy burden on Anastasya. She found herself much more hands-on in the raising of her children; not by want, but necessity. 

This is not to say that she was unhappy with her attention set upon her children. She loved them, truly. She could not say the same for any other few. Not her husband, her brothers, her parents, friends, no one. 

It was only Belisar, Stefan, Boris, and Vaclav who had her truest love. 

She wanted this; to have a family, to be close. Closeness with her own brothers and parents had been lost for years. By the time she was budding into adulthood, her brothers had run off to find their own place in the world. The Galahar tower was cold those years. She would not have that. 

Her children would know their mother, and she would know them. What she didn’t expect, in marrying out of nobility and into a house that settled in a camp, was how much of herself that she would have to give.

“Would our lives have not been better; would we not have been more prepared if our parents had guided us along? If we had some net to catch us? To tell us when we were wrong and to correct our path?” 

“We turned out fine, Anastasya. Our children will too.”

“Did we, though? You have not spared your opinion before that my upbringing fostered my unlikability.”

“I did not say that,”

“Not exactly, correct. You had much prettier words for it.”

During her pregnancies, Anastasya prayed for nothing but the child’s safety and good health. Though fatiguing, she had never once had complications during them. They were smooth, albeit painful as was typical. She had never truly feared for her life or the unborn child’s. 

This time was different. Violent illness overtook her in the middle months, barely able to tend to her children, barely able to write for her column, and wholly unable to leave her camp. 

She loved her children, all of them, but she did not want this. The pregnancy was an unwelcome surprise. After her twins, she wanted out. She wanted to be done. She felt as if she would die if she had to go through it again. She did not pray only for her unborn child’s health and safety this time; she prayed for her husband’s sterilization. 

At this point, another child seemed like another burden. If she hadn’t already felt pity for herself and the tremendous amount of work that was in store for her with another child, she might have felt pity for the poor nanny that the Rutherns had stretched so thin. 

Her final trimester was, as she would describe, hell on Azuras. She had been moved up into the Galahar tower for her own protection. She was assigned a wet nurse to remain at her side, watching over her condition with care and caution. Illnesses like this could take the lives of the greatest of women. It was unforgiving and cruel. 

Anastasya thought of the child growing within her as a parasite; zapping her of her energy, her health, and her freedom. Her children needed her. The ones here, alive, some talking, some crawling. This leech was sucking the life out of her. It was keeping her from her children, from her writing, from the success she sought. 

Her article was taken over, in her absence and inability. Her work was pushed to the side, all for something she didn’t want. She thought she hated it. She didn’t feel ashamed to feel that way. 

“It’s too late for that type of treatment, my Lady. The babe is kicking- it is alive, ma’am.”

“It’s killing me. I cannot go through with it.”

“What would your husband think?”

The labor was violent, it was messy, and it was torturous. Anastasya burned with a fever during the procession. At some points, delirious, sometimes too lucid. 

It was the closest she had ever been to death. When conscious and capable of thought, she was racked with fear. What if this was it? What if she died here and now, unaccomplished, unhappy, unfulfilled? 

Somewhere between the hours of torture, she heard the medic speaking to her husband in the doorway. The light from the opposite room was almost blinding, it cast a halo-like frame around the men. Their low voices were muffled, but there was a moment of clarity in their speech. Enough for her, in her hellish state to decipher.

“We must begin to prepare for the worst, Sir.”

“Save my wife, above all else.”

Something about her husband’s resolve made peace within her. Above all else, he had said. Years, she had spent, caring for, but never too close to her husband. Never truly knowing how he felt. His ways of showing his care were much too foreign for her. In those moments though, after his decree, it all made sense. 

They were not like other pairs. They didn’t have to be. A warmth burned within her that was not present before. Respect. Love, even. That was a scary thought. Loving her children was easy, they were young enough to have to love her. There was no doubt that such would be returned. With Justinyn, it was insecure; not because he made it that way, but because he did not contain the unconditional love her children did. She could lose it. She could put herself out there, and it could very well not be reciprocated. 

His words though, in that moment, calmed her. She released the tension from her body and allowed herself to relax, to let the sickness take over, just for a little while. She let it lull her to sleep. She succumbed to it entirely.

Of course, her slumber did not help her situation. The course of her labor happened, and there was a fight to keep her steady; to keep her blood pumping and her heart beating. She did not have to suffer this part, she had suffered enough. 

It was not until the next morning that she awoke, still recovering, but her fever had broken. Before the nurses could even announce the successful birth of her daughter, she cut them off with her only request. 

“Bring me Justinyn.”

THE NORTHERN GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY, in our effort to expand the frontiers of knowledge, will be hosting a series of educational and entertaining lectures at our Flagship Museum. These lectures will feature individuals from all walks of life, sharing important lessons they've learned. 

Our third guest lecturer will be LORD MITHIUS DALMA, the richest elf who ever lived. Lord Dalma is the Nardo of Clan Dalma and a candidate in the current race for Mayor of Rittersburg. Lord Dalma has been a longtime friend  and patron of the Northern Geographical Society. He is an exceedingly old elf, over nine centuries old, and has served as a personal witness to much of the Empire's history. He will be discussing his amazingly long life, how he achieved his success, and his place in imperial history.

An audience Q & A session will be held following the talk.

THE MARCH OF STASSION

16th of SUN’S SMILE, 656 AA

The hooves of the Stassionite Brigade shake the earth.

The march began beneath a hard, gray sky.

The ships remained visible behind them, anchored in the bay where they had landed. Sails furled, their hulls rocked gently upon the tide. For many of the men, they were the last visible connection to Aevos.  Two hundred Stassionites formed the column. Veterans, household retainers, sailors, laborers, and a scattering of younger men who had reached fighting age just as the world around them began to collapse. They marched in silence, boots pressing into soil none of them had walked before.

At the front rode Frederick. He was fourteen summers old, and yet the crossing had stripped what little remained of his youth. His face carried none of the easy curiosity that otherwise belonged to the average boy, and his eyes skimmed the countryside with the measured attention of a man who thought often of consequence.

Beside Frederick rode Horace. The brothers resembled one another, all the way from their auburn hair to those sharp, nearly-alien features and unmistakably solemn expressions. And though cut from the same cloth, there had once been differences between the pair. Frederick had been serious while Horace had laughed more easily. That distinction, however, had faded with Aevos. Now, both boys rode quietly at the head of a people in exile.

Ahead of them rode Sir Humphrey de Valognes. The old knight's back remained straight despite decades of steel and dirt. He had fought in the War of Crown and Crozier when state and church alike had torn each other apart like hounds snapping for scraps. Yet, Humphrey rarely spoke of them himself. Wars became stories for the victorious. For the survivors, they were usually memories best left undisturbed. 

The land of Azuras unfolded around them in long stretches of grass and woodland. Rivers bounded across their path. Distant hills rose blue against the horizon. It was a rich country, untouched by the scars that marked much of the Aevosi lands.Several hours into the march, Frederick guided his horse closer to Humphrey's. 

"We cannot afford to echo the sins of our kin, Richard, however Novellen that fickle bastard may have been.”

Humphrey offered a concurrent nod. 

Frederick considered that for a moment. Behind them, the column continued steadily onward. Many of the soldiers had served Frederick's father. Some had carried his banners into battle. Others had guarded his halls or worked his lands. They had followed his final command as faithfully as any order he had ever given. Take the boys. Cross the sea. Preserve what remains. No one spoke openly about whether there would ever be a return. By afternoon, the shoreline had disappeared entirely. The realization settled heavily over the company. As long as the sea had remained visible, Aevos had felt distant but reachable. Now forests and hills stood between them and the coast. For the first time, the old world felt truly behind them. 

Toward evening, scouts returned with news of smoke rising in the distance. A settlement. The report passed quietly through the column. Some men seemed relieved. Others grew more cautious. Humphrey listened, asked his questions, and gave his instructions. His expression never changed. That night they made camp beside a river. The fires burned low. Guards took their posts. Horses grazed beneath the fading light. Frederick and Horace stood together at the edge of the camp, looking westward where the last light of the sun faded across the hills of Azuras. Neither spoke for some time. They did not need to.

“Let the march begin.”

The tale of their courtship, if either were to be honest, all truly began with a wager. The market bustled with life around the group of young children. Merchants calling out from their stalls, children darting between the crowd, and musicians filled the air with cheerful melodies. Amidst the commotion, Cesari and Beatriz were enjoying a rare afternoon free from their duties.

Beatriz had scarcely been paying attention to any of it. Instead, her attention had settled upon Cesári Lucien Ashford de Savoie. More specifically, upon a young noblewoman standing beside him. The pair spoke easily, laughing as old friends often did. The girl seemed perfectly content simply to remain in his company, listening attentively whenever he spoke and smiling at even his dullest remarks.

Beatriz watched for several moments before shaking her head. Waving Cesari over, she leaned closer and spoke in a conspiratorial whisper, a cheeky grin tugging at her lips. “She likes you.”


Cesari glanced toward the girl in question before looking back at Beatriz. “What?”

“She likes you.”

The young knight looked once more toward the girl, who had since wandered off to speak with several other youths nearby. “We’re friends.”

“Yes.”

“And?”

“And she likes you.”

“No, she doesn’t.” The certainty in his voice nearly made Beatriz laugh. “Lord de Savoie, she absolutely does.” Just as she responded, he was swift to deny it once more. “You’re imagining things.”

“I am not!”
“Are too."

The young girl scoffed; she paused as her grin appeared once more. “Would you like to wager on it?” The young knight folded his arms. “A wager?”

“Yes, that’s what I said, isn't it?” She’d answer in a snarky tone. “You are that confident?” He questioned, "Entirely."

Cesari snorted. “Fine. You’re wrong.”
“And when am I right?” Beatriz leaned in expectantly.

Cesari paused for a moment, considering, “I’ll buy you, sweetcakes.” The young de Bruges immediately extended her hand. “Done.” However, their wager did not last long. Within moments, the young noblewoman's affections became impossible to deny. Much to Beatriz’s satisfaction and Cesari’s distress.

Despite their previous banter, Beatriz soon noticed something unusual. Cesari hadn’t laughed at her victory, nor at the situation. “What’s wrong?” She’d ask, watching as the young knight glanced away. “Nothing.” He’d answer.

“You’re terrible at lying.” A long silence followed, then finally he sighed. “I don’t feel the same way.” The admission came quietly, and Beatriz’s teasing expression softened as she listened further. “I care about her,” he continued. “She’s a good friend. I simply cannot see her that way.. You know why.”

“Then tell her,” Beatriz answered bluntly. And Cesari turned to her swiftly, almost startling the young girl. “And humiliate her?” He shook his head. “I cannot hurt her; I do not wish to.” For a moment, Beatriz considered the problem. Rejecting a suitor was simple in theory. In practice, noble pride was a fragile thing, and word traveled quickly through the empire’s courts and halls. Then an idea struck her. A terrible idea. Which naturally meant she loved it. “Then don’t reject her.”

Cesari immediately narrowed his eyes. “I know that look.” He warned her; the de Bruges continued. “We tell people you’re already courting someone.” The young knight blinked. “What?”

“We tell people you’re already courting someone!” Beatriz answered once more. “That’s an awful idea.” He said.

“It’s brilliant!” She’d correct.

“It is a lie.” He warned her once more.

“A small lie—" He’d cut her off abruptly. “It’s still a lie!” Beatriz shrugged, eyeing him for a few final moments. “A harmless one.” Cesari stared at her for several moments, following, finally curious to ask. “And who exactly would I be courting?” Her grin widened.

“Me, obviously.” The silence that followed only lasted a heartbeat before Cesari burst into laughter. “You cannot be serious.”

“I am entirely serious.”

“My Lady, that is ridiculous.”

“Which is precisely why it will work.”

“It will never work.”

“It absolutely will.”

The two bickered back and forth before Beatriz finally called out his name. “Cesari!” The young knight groaned as Beatriz folded her arms triumphantly. By the time they reached the end of the market square, he still insisted the plan was absurd. By the time they reached the Alban Castle gates, he had begun considering it. And by the following week, the rumor had begun to spread. A harmless fiction they started themselves. A favor between friends.

The years that followed passed perhaps far more quickly than either had imagined. What began as a childish wager amidst the bustling market streets slowly blossomed into something far greater, weathering the demands of duty, distance, and the ever-watchful eyes of the courts.

Though many might have expected a grand affair befitting both of their stations, the pair instead chose to exchange their vows quietly within the Duchy of Lorraine. Far from the spectacle of noble celebrations, it was a ceremony shared only amongst their closest kin and confidants.

Whilst the years had changed much, yet little at all. The knight remained steadfast in his devotion, and the envoy, no less determined in her ambitions, was now running for a mayoral position. The Old Loyal Guardsman

-Portrait of Lieutenant Tancred Krüger-

The bells of the imperial capital chimed as they often did, Tancred inspected his guardsman at the gate as was his routine as the Old officer of the imperial guard, though he didn't know it would be his last thing he'd do. Tancred Krüger was never well liked amongst most the populace of the empire but in the end, the old imperial always did his job regardless of how unorthodox it was he always did his job. 

Tancred Küruger, founding member of the Reiksguard, stuck through its rise and decline, guarding and protecting the empire he fought to see rise from a once Duchy and then Kingdom of Burgundy and then Empire of Man, having served 3 Emperors and Lord marshals. The man's loyalty was never questioned, especially after his actions to protect the former Emperor Hadrian. Tancred's loyaltys kept him him forever loyal to the Imperial Reiksguard, some would say over zealous in his duties but thats what made Tancred Krüger, an old loyal zealous man with many faults but alot of the public of the empire didnt know of his actions and duties to the imperial family and empire in the background, the man never boasted of his accomplishments only of his undying loyalty to his nation 

In the end, Tancred did what he said he would do: die on his own terms, loyal to his empire until death, even though it was over pride that got the better of him and evidently led to his death. The man always ensured order was maintained when he could, regardless of what ever over entitled nobel or privileged individuals disagreed with him.

Now Tancred Krüger may rest, be it in peace or not, he has officially retired 6ft below a grave monument in front of his old home, the Old Barracks of Rittersburg, his only true home.

It is quoted the Old Loyal Guardsman last words were 

“ I lived a long life, iv seen kingdoms rise and fall, emperors crowned and given funeral. I care not for those who rejoice or  those who feel pity or sadness over my death. For I know what I did in my service that brought the empire to where it is today, though be it minimal in contribution in comparison to those who hold high title and blood, but at least I am going out in my own way as I intended, in combat, but at least I died not a craven though many of the people of this empire and beyond will call me such still even in death. I hope that my contributions and legacy to the reiksguard and imperial family will be remembered, as founding father to such a guard and loyal subject to the imperial family and my comrades in arms…. Ave Imperium and Wes Thu Hal… got mit uns”

First founded in 1956 I.S.T. by Johannes Lothar von Alstreim, Princeling of Merryweather, the Paradisian Adventurer’s Guild was established to face the threats that lurked beyond the reach of armies and kings. Born in the Black Rose Tavern of Whitespire, it rallied brave souls from all walks of life to stand against the abnormal and unknown.

But with the fall of Whitespire and the Guildhall reduced to ash, its mission faded into memory, kept alive only by the undying resolve of Sir Fragglesworth II, its most eccentric and enduring steward. Since those times the guild was involved in the Ailmerian Wars, and in the tumultuous hunt for the Veiled Reliquary.

But the time for dormancy is over. The time to reform is now.

Now, in the year 2033 I.S.T., with the new Empire rising and fresh threats looming beyond the horizon, the Paradisian Adventurer’s Guild is reborn. This is a call to arms, not for soldiers of war, but for adventurers of courage. Whether you wield sword, bow, or arcane art; whether you hail from noble blood or walk a commoner’s path, there is a place for you here.

Once more, the Guild shall delve into forgotten ruins, confront lurking monstrosities, and stand as defenders of civilization against the chaos that festers in shadow.
 

GUILD MISSION

The Paradisian Adventurer’s Guild was originally created with a simple purpose: to detect, evaluate, designate, and exterminate the unknown and extraordinary dangers of Aevos, protecting the commonfolk from the unnatural threats that stalk the wilds and fester within the forgotten corners of civilization. This Mission now on the continent of Azuras, continues unchanged.

Now reformed as an Imperial Organization under the Empire of Man, the Guild is officially headquartered in the Imperial Capital of Rittersberg, following the fall and destruction of its original home in Whitespire. While the Guild operates under the aegis of the Empire, its ranks remain open to all: adventurers need not be Imperial citizens, nor are they required to swear fealty. What matters is their skill, resolve, and commitment to the Guild’s cause.

Dedicated to neutrality in its operations and united in its pursuit of the unnatural, the Paradisian Adventurer’s Guild welcomes all Descendants, regardless of race, creed, or origin, so long as they are not fugitives from justice or the very fiends the Guild was formed to hunt.

With time and growth, the Guild intends to expand internationally, establishing Chapter Houses and securing Writs of Operation across Azuras, wherever the need to combat the world’s ever-growing abnormalities arises.

✠ GUILD HIERARCHY ✠

The Guild prides itself on its inclusivity, accepting all who seek to safeguard civilization from the abnormal - race, creed, religion, nationalities; all are made irrelevant in such a pursuit. Accomplishments, skills, and competency shall set Adventurers apart, with those successful earning themselves increasing prestige, fulfillment, spoils, gold and rankings.

It is not expected for Adventurers to dedicate their entire existence to the Guild, and that they can take on Quests and Bounties whenever they are able. There is no quota to fulfill, and no senior officer to report to. The only burden to carry is the desire to see the Realms of Azuras safe from abnormalities, the Guild shall facilitate the rest to see this done.

The Council

Any organization requires a hierarchy and management. This Guild is no exception. The Adventurers do not boast a complicated hierarchy with intricate bureaucracies, rather priding itself on streamlined simplicity instead. There exist only two senior members to administer the guild, along with their staff of Clerks to manage the day to day affairs of the Adventurers. In due time, Chapter Masters shall represent the Guild’s interests abroad, as new Guild Chapters are opened in other cities, thus forming the Guild’s Council.

Guildmaster

The guild master is tasked with the management of the Guild, he posts all missions, approves new candidates, and arranges payment and promotions. New Guildmasters are appointed by directives of the prior office holder, and in the instance that the entirety of the executive of the Guild are made incapable, a general assembly of all Adventurers shall form to elect a new Guildmaster. The current Guildmaster is the eternally well endowed, Sir Fragglesworth II

The right hand of the Guildmaster. Has the authority to act in the Guildmasters name, and should they be absent, they assume control of the Guild. The current Vice-Guildmaster is Tubbington III

Guild Clerk

Clerks are tasked with the overall organizing and dispatching of adventures to their appropriate bounties. Should an Adventurer be considered to be woefully unprepared for their Bounty, the Guild Clerks reserve the right to prevent their dispatch to Bounties until remediation - to best maximize likelihood of survival. They are paid an annual salary and cannot register to become adventurers due to the potential of scheming and liability issues.

Watch Master

These members are spiritual guild-captains, safeguarding the sacred creed of the Guild as they press on along the others in Quests. They are responsible for the health, discipline, and comradery of the adventurers, ensuring that rules are followed, good sportsmanship among members maintained, and punishment meted out for those who stray from its tenets. As a result, they hold a degree of authority within the Guild. This prohibits them from receiving a bounty's reward, though allows them to lay claim to the spoils of a quest when earned.

The Adventurer’s Corp

The ones tasked with carrying out the Guild’s primary reason of existence - the Adventurers. Responsible for delving into unknown wilderness, or scouring the depths of a long forgotten ruin. They are the front-line against the unnatural, paid contractors that protect the Realms of the Descendants. Ever since its formation, the Guild has been divided in ethos by two factions; one dedicated to the wholesale and indiscriminate slaughter of the dangerous unknown, and the other for the documentation and experimenting of such to best discover the truths of the world - though both groups cooperate in tandem still, each realizing the need for unity against the horrors of Azuras.

Carbaurum-class Adventurer

These adventurers have reached the apex of their field. Their mettle has been tried and tested countless times and are without a match in their field, as such, not much remains to prove themselves. The trials and tribulations of Azuras are of a miniscule affair to them, and now enter the Hall of Honored Heroes of the Paradisian Adventurer’s Guild.

Emerald-class Adventurer

Guild veterans and figureheads to those of lesser rank, acting as captains in the field. They are the ones initiating missions and often the ones leading them as well. Emerald-class adventurers are without a digit or two and perhaps even the less fortunate one is without a limb, but even then they are a foe the monster cowers from.

Aurum-class Adventurer

Adventurers who have proven themselves beyond mere survival, they have made monster hunting their craft and creed. Their skill and experience grant them autonomy in choosing missions suited to their abilities, and they often act as seconds to Emerald-class captains. To rise further, an Aurum must demonstrate not only mastery in combat, but the strength to command others, for the Guild values leadership as much as the blade.

Daemonsteel-class Adventurer

Forged in failure, refined in fire. Daemonsteel adventurers have displayed noticeable prowess of skill and displays of courage. They are now more than regulars, fledgling specialists or perhaps jacks of all trades, they still have room to improve, to grow and refine their skills.

Ferrum-class Adventurer

Proven warriors of the Guild, the regulars. These guild members have proven themselves as middling fighters, they’ve picked up the basic tenets of the guild, but are still not considered fully-fledged members.

Copper-class Adventurer

The trainees of the guild, the lowest of the low. New and untested members will fall into this category. Copper-class Adventurers don’t have many pickings in contracts and are not permitted to go on missions alone, always with another more experienced adventurer who acts as a mentor as to best mitigate the possibilities of needless casualties. In due time, they shall prove themselves able.

✠ CODE OF CONDUCT ✠

The Adventurers Guild has a few rules that the adventurers are expected to take to heart, to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. The higher-classed adventurers are expected to enforce the code of conduct. 

It is forbidden to steal from another adventurer, during a contract.

It is forbidden to assault another adventurer, during a contract.

It is forbidden to fabricate falsehoods about achievements.

It is forbidden to discriminate against an Adventurer’s culture, race or religion - the Guild is for all, so long as politics and religion are not brought into missions.

Legalities:

It is not required for adventurers to be on favorable terms. It is only required that adventurers prioritize completing contracts.

Adventurers must adhere to the principles of neutrality during a contract, adventurers incapable of separating their feuding nationalities shall be made unable to be in the same Party for quests.

Lower-classed adventurers may attach themselves to higher-classed adventures to participate in more dangerous contracts.

It is prohibited to cast outlawed magic within the Imperial Capital and territory unless for purposes of the quest and bounty. Ie, you can cast fire ball to combat goblins on a quest, NOT outside of bounties.

Numerous breaches in Conduct shall result in the termination of an Adventurer’s Badge.

✠ THE ABNORMALITIES REGISTRY ✠

The Guild does not only kill monsters, it also documents the hostile or abnormal beings found on our plane of existence. The creatures are categorized into classes, based on their threat level, with each class being expectedly more dangerous than the prior. With discoveries being made every day, the guild is well aware that documentation will always remain incomplete. 

Anyone with information on new creatures is encouraged to bring the information to any guild members, to which they will be rewarded on a monetary basis based upon the significance of their discovery.

✠ HOW TO JOIN ✠

To enroll, one must seek out the Guild Headquarters upon entering the Imperial Capital of Rittersberg, Empire of Man, at the crossroads of Red Square. An appointment will be scheduled with a senior official of the guild, typically arranged by a Guild Clerk, who will then assess the qualities and integrity of the potential adventurer. Once approved, the adventurer is granted membership into the guild and their appropriate  badge, henceforth an official guild member.

Past experiences, be it that it is comprehensive with ample evidence, an applicant may under extreme cases be allowed to skip one or two classes from the starting copper class.

To contact the appropriate guild official who can process an applicant's interview, one must simply fill out the following form below and send it off to the guild headquarters in Rittersberg by bird, courier or mail. A relevant authority will respond at the earlier opportunity. 

The criteria for enlistment is as such; be at least thirteen years old and in a fair physical and mental condition. Ages thirteen to fifteen are only allowed on quests under the stipulation that they are under the direct supervision of an unchanging and permanent ward (the same person consistently)

The Paradisian Adventurers Guild does not take responsibility for adventurers injured or killed during their contracts.

Current guild members may withdraw their membership from the guild, if for whatever reason they are unable to continue their work with the guild. To resign one must locate the nearest guild official and issue a notification of resignation. Relics of Man | Hadrianic Era 631 A.A - 647 A.A 

The Hadrianic Era is one of the most defining time periods of the Holy Empire of Man. Named for Emperor Hadrian I, many people still remember the Conquest of Azuras and the establishment of the Empire of Azuras under his firm leadership.

Hadrian I was born as Hadrian Tiberias, the eldest son and heir of Tiberias I and Circe of Myrine, who were, at the time, the King and Queen of Burgundy. Throughout his life, the Emperor was plagued by ill health made manifest during his early childhood. His illness, however, did not cull his sharp intellect, or  his eager willingness to enforce Imperial Justice, in the slightest. 

Throughout his younger years, Emperor Hadrian served as Prince Justicar. During this time, he grew into a proper statesman, spending most of his time hunched over mountains of paperwork. After Emperor Tiberias abdicated his throne to his son, Hadrian and his wife were crowned in a grand ceremony. Whilst his enemies may view his sixteen year long reign as an era of fear and tyranny, Hadrian’s numerous achievements and the Imperium's prosperity are undeniable. Most notably among them, he is credited with the Conquest of Azuras, a military campaign that would see all nations of the continent either within the fold of the Imperial Mantle, or entirely destroyed.

THEY COME BEARING GIFTS

It is our sincerest hope that the brave sons and daughters of the Empire remain on high alert. Though this may be an era of unprecedented peace, there are yet elements that should rock the ship of state in a sea of turmoil. As subjects of the Empire, it is our sworn duty to ensure the Imperium we love is not smashed upon the rocks. To that end, the Hammerhead continues to report on more worrying news of our foreign enemies in Aeldin. 

Some concerned citizens in the far south-western shorelands of our fair Empire have reported yet further sightings from the coast of scout-ships sending out small landing parties, or smaller ships that upon inspection seem to shift their colour to better blend amongst our own! Per witness testimony, some mysterious visitors have even been seen moving barrels, or no-doubt, other contraband in crates to be distributed GOD-knows-where. It may be that these barrels contain thanhium explosives, as documented most thoroughly in our previous edition. It is a fearsome thought that these illicit, dangerous wares might make their way into Azuras both through treachery or unsuspecting traders.

The Aeldenic threat remains very real, and the many subjects of our empire must keep their wits about them. Share any suspicions with your local authorities.

A SON OF THE NORTH

In the early morn of the 8th of Vyzmey ag Hyff, 633 E.S., under the sign of the Three-Eyed Crow, a son was born unto the House of Galahar. The babe was born healthy, and made nary a fuss. He greatly resembles his father, but with soft green eyes. Upon his baptism, he shall be named;

His Lordship, Jan Yarik Galahar

We name this boy in honour of Jan Radovanic, his grandsire. A man of simple means, who devoted much of his life to the Canonist faith, and maintaining the virtues of the Jorenic Rite. We pray that he shall take after his forefather in more than just name.

In accordance with the traditions of Ghaestenwald, the boy’s birth does not name him as heir. One shall be selected by myself when our children are no longer green, as the late Baron Josef had with his daughter, my lady mother, Vasilia Galahar. May peace be upon them in their rest.

THE BURGHERS AND THE BLOCKHEADS

During the latest meeting of the Burgherraad, I had the great pleasure of participating in place of my dear husband. Of course, having not been duly informed that he was going to be unable to attend. I entered the congregation and was surprised at the lack of attendance! Our representatives were not representing us! I was, of course, eternally grateful for the faithful Alric var Ruthern, Burgher for my home, Ghaestenwald. It seems that I am one of the few lucky ones to be represented this way. Who knew a single elector could make a Barony so small as Ghaestenwald have the influence of a Ducal house, simply by showing up?

Those Burghers in attendance were Alric var Ruthern, Oliver Napier, Rothwin Aldor, and William of Curon, with Trajan Helane slogging in late as representative for the absent Second Burgher of Alba, Berengaria di Rosavena. There are thirteen active Burghers seated in the Burgherraad. The attendance this day made a sad, sad, show of it. Of course, some leniency ought to be provided for those who celebrate the feast day of Saint Julia, a revered Canonist fertility festival, that in some rites pays a day of homage to one’s mother.

In spite of this holy day, it does not yet seem to be the leading reason why attendees were scarce. Perhaps those we have elected to represent us are, well, unreliable. Or, in turn, perhaps our Burgherraad is undesirable or unimportant. 

One piece of legislation was positioned before the representatives concerning the display of heraldry. The proposed notion is to have every nation or settlement within the Empire's reign display the Imperial flag beside their own. Now, while this may be a sensible suggestion, it should be every leal subject’s will to showcase loyalty to the Empire. It is easy to do so. Nevertheless, this type of legislation is not what I, as an onlooker, would consider important and difference-making. It is boring and redundant. Perhaps that is the reason for the lack of attendance. Perhaps these elected Burghers have better things to do with their time. Regardless of our representative’s priorities, they were chosen with the expectation to well represent our interests, which is wholly impossible when they do not participate. We, as constituents, deserve diligent representatives to put forth legislation that will better our lives. If the responsibility of sitting down for thirty minutes deciding on inane legislation is too much to ask, perhaps our Burghers should step down.

Her Imperial Majesty, Valentiná of Asturias, who by the Grace of GOD is our beloved Empress of Azuras and of all Mankind--and to whom I wholeheartedly apologise for mistitling within the session--was unamused with the pathetic display of the near-empty hall. She chastised the Burghers for their lack of promptness, attendance, and their unpreparedness. As declared, penalties of lateness or absence shall be put onto representatives as necessary. The Empress in declaring such, is perhaps hoping to reel in the dwindling participation in the fairly new institution.
