Foreword

Sixteen years have passed since the end of the War of Crown and Crozier. With the ascension of the Empire of Man, the destruction of the Horenic Covenant and the parties it consisted of, and the subsequent destruction of the Kingdom of Balian and founding of the Grand Duchy of Lotharia. After several meetings between diplomatic parties to discuss terms of surrender, it is with great hope we announce that finally, peace has been reached between Aevos and the descendents of man.

I. ON SOVEREIGNTY

I. The Grand Duchy of Lotharia does recognise the sovereignty and legitimacy of the Empire of Man and all of its lands, and Emperor Tiberias I to rule over his dominions as well as all humanity, until a time when his rightful successor, His Imperial Highness Prince Hadrian, succeeds him.

1. The Grand Duchy of Lotharia, as a diaspora of the former Kingdom of Balian, does recognise the Emperor’s goodwill and absolute mercy in allowing the Lotharian people to settle and exist within the desert, foreign to his dominion.
2. Prince Lothar I shall proffer to the Empire, Cloudbreaker, as a token of understanding of the Emperor’s Sovereignty. 
   1. Should any attempts at obfuscating, obstructing, or otherwise reclaiming the Cloudbreaker be made by the signatories or their dominions, the treaty shall be considered annulled. 

II. The Empire of Man does recognise the vassalage of The Grand Duchy of Lotharia and its lands, and Prince Lothar I to rule over his dominions, until a time when his rightful successor, Prince Iohannis, succeeds him.

II. ON NON-AGGRESSION

I. The signatories pledge a pact of non-aggression between each other. They shall neither wage war, nor arms against one another. They shall also not try to bring harm to the integrity of one another’s Realms.

III. ON TITLEAGE

I. The Grand Duchy of Lotharia shall surrender all titles and claims associated with the House of Novellen. These include the Kingdom of Balian, and any and all titles originating from the previous Empire and Kingdom of Oren.

II. The House of Novellen, upon the signage of this treaty, is hereby formally dissolved. Any living descendents of the House may take on the name Basileus instead.

THE DESERT’S PEACE

Issued on the 17th of Sofia’s Beauty of the year of 144 D.R.

Condition I

The desert land of Aevos is acknowledged as native land of the people of Krugistan. Orcish peoples maintain hunting, fishing, and movement rights on this land.

Condition II

The Orcish peoples shall receive reparations for previous slights against their peoples, as outlined below:

• A total of eight thousand (8,000) mina to be paid to Krugistan, split between the Haeseni and Hyspian peoples.
• A total of two thousand (2,000) mina worth of material goods to be given to Krugistan, to be paid by the Númenedain. The worth of such material shall be determined by the neutral third party of Cauróst. Any who seek to bribe the third party shall have their amount doubled should they be the indebted, or halved should they be the collector.
   

Condition III

The peoples of Hyspia and lands beyond shall not invade further into the desert territories.

Condition IV

The borders between Hyspia and the desert shall henceforth be marked by capstones to define the land clearly and to whom it belongs.
 

Condition V

Travel within the desert borders will be solely kept to roads, with exceptions for hunting criminals or darkspawn.
 

Condition VI

Camels within the lands of the Orcish peoples shall be claimed by them alone, regardless of rider. Camels within the borders of Hyspia shall belong to Hyspia and her people alone. 

Condition VII

Pursuant to this document’s signing, the nation of Hyspia and the nation of Krugistan, hereby known as The Signatories, shall summarily agree in the absolute to considerations of non-aggression. The signatories pledge heretofore to adhere to principles of peace amongst their realms, thereby pledging not to wage war, nor raise arms against one another or act wherein harm to the integrity of one another’s land, or sovereign nation is perpetuated, under any circumstance or form. Upon the signing and agreement of these terms, the signatories and any successors they may have are bound to these considerations, lest this treaty become null.

The Treaty of the Underlight Grotto

In effect as of the Year of the Tanuki, 216 SA (872 Kamijikan)

PREAMBLE

The contents of this passage shall serve as the peace, non-aggression between and establishment of tributary of the Underlight Grotto beneath the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate. All parties signing this pact declare adherence to its terms under oath of blood, honor and soul to our ancestors.  

As such, the details of this treaty are listed below.

• The Underlight Grotto from henceforth shall serve as a tributary entity to the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate, afforded the right to remain settled in exchange for the agreed upon paid tribute, non-aggression towards the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate and the adherence to all stipulations of this binding agreement.
• This relationship shall change upon failure of adherence to this binding agreement or upon mutual agreement between the Shugo and the Underlight Grotto. Failure to adhere to the stipulations of this binding agreement will conclude with the cessation of the peace treaty.
• The Underlight Grotto shall pay a tribute of 75 mon (mina) per Kami week for lands already settled within the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate and are forbidden from continued expansion. 
• The Underlight Grotto had made the one time payment of two starsteel ingots to Shugo Ojou-sama Ugokoyama Atsuko as reparations for unpaid tribute since the expansion of the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate further into the Sakura Mori.
• In the event that the Underlight Grotto would deem it a necessity for their departure from the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate, they will afford two kami weeks of notice to the Shugo of Koyo-Kuni in which time they will continue to pay their owed tributes until their official departure from the country.

PREAMBLE

The contents of this passage shall serve as the peace and non-aggression agreement between the Banu Al-Mona Tribe and the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate as well as the official cessation of the Jihad of 169 SA upon Rah’tuma. All parties signing this pact declare adherence to its terms under oath of blood, honor and soul to our ancestors.

As such, the details of this treaty are listed below.

1. The Banu Al-Mona Tribe and the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate agree to the cessation of the declared Jihad of 169 SA revolving around the Rah’tuman-Orcgrimmar conflict of the Holy Land. While such conflict had been exasperated by third party elements, it amounted to no incursions made by the Qalasheen in an official capacity and it is in the interest of both cousin farfolk to make peace.

2. The Banu Al-Mona Tribe will join Uncle O’s army to help in the campaign against Gashadokuro in the western campaign as an official jihad.

3. The Banu Al-Mona Tribe shall settle within the Shugonate and rent a campsite for their caravan  and pay a tax of 50 mon (mina) per Kami week to the Shugonate. The Banu Al-Mona Tribe shall show blueprints to the Stratocracy before the parking of this caravan within the Shugonate.

4. The Sheikh of the Banu Al-Mona Tribe shall receive the privileges of, the rights of and will be expected to uphold the obligations of the Shōya as detailed in the Koyo-Kuni Shugonate’s Constitution including rallying in defense of the Shugonate in times of emergency and leaving foreign diplomatic matters to the Stratocracy during their tenure with the Shugonate.

5. The Banu Al-Mona Tribe, should their nomadic life lead them elsewhere, shall give a two kami week notice to the Stratocracy (The Koyo-Kuni Government) of their departure where tax shall be paid for those two kami weeks after notice.

• The Ashen State of Nor-Velyth and its vassal the Village of Sakuragakure will agree to the cessation of conflict with the Men of Hazum (the Hill Barbarians), allowing them to settle the current incorporated lands eastern border (referred to as Mugmar’s Circle). Any future expansion must be approved of by the Primarch and Shugo. 

• The Men of Hazum swear to not eat any descendants and will pledge their arms as auxiliaries of the Sakuragakure Militia and any warbands formed beneath the samurai.

• The Men of Hazum shall pay in total 75 mina to the Ashen State for upkeep of lands yearly (ooc week).

• Should any Man of Hazum steal and devour the livestock of another citizen of the Ashen State, they will pay back the theft threefold.

Both parties signing this pact declare adherence to its terms under oath of blood, honor and soul to our ancestors.

As such, the details of this treaty are listed below.

• The Village of Sakuragakure and the Serene State of Lurin agree to the cessation of conflict and normalization of relations. Both parties will in good faith make the attempt at cultural exchange with one another in an oyabun-kobun relationship (an elder to younger relationship respectively). Sakuragakure will agree to end the punitive campaign upon the Serene State of Lurin and consider all amends made with the village’s complaints should the following terms be honored.

• The Serene State of Lurin hereby agrees to the cessation of the cultivation of the poppy flower and the production of opium. The Serene State of Lurin, its vassals and all operations of the Serene State will burn their supply of either of these products.

• The Serene State of Lurin has agreed to and paid 64 barrels of salt as weregild to Clan Kato and Clan Ugokoyama for the atronach incident and no issue will be pressed further upon such subject.

• The Serene State will apprehend Astark the Barrowlord when able to and extradite him to Sakuragakure.

• The Serene State will apprehend Elliphas ‘the necromancer’ when able to and extradite him to Sakuragakure.

• The Serene State will apprehend Reynard Delmar ‘the necromancer’ when able to and extradite him to Sakuragakure.

• In the event these individuals remain elusive after a period of four years (1 ooc month) from the publication of this treaty, the Serene State will consent to the collaboration of Lurinite and Sakuragakure authorities in rooting out darkspawn should such a request be made by Sakuragakure at the end of this period.

• One Grub-Bucket, acting as the Village of Sakuragakure’s embassy will be opened within the Serene State of Lurin.

Urged on by the Canonist Church, and in light of the possibility for a peaceful end to the conflict that will prevent further blood being needlessly spilt over the Silver Isles, the Kingdom of Oren and the Horde of the Iron'Uzg have come to the following terms with the Kongzem of Haense, the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and the Grand Duchy of Balian:

in the interests of peace between Canonists and the ending of bloodshed caused by the Orenian intervention, the Kingdom of Oren withdraws fully from the conflict against the Kongzem of Haense, the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and Grand Duchy of Balian.

II: THE SILVER ISLES

The Horde of the Iron’Uzg transfers the Silver Isles to the Kongzem of Haense. In turn, the Kongzem shall compensate the People of Haelu’nor with 5,000 mina to aid in the full relocation of the High Elven populace to the Enclave of Fi'Halen. 

III: CESSATION OF HOSTILITIES

The Kongzem of Haense, the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, the Grand Duchy of Balian, the Horde of the Iron’Uzg and the Kingdom of Oren hereby agree to cease all aggressions and hostilities between one another. 

The United Sovereign States of Almaris is hereby dissolved.

IV: MEMORIAL BENCH

A memorial bench to commemorate the relationship between Bakir Ireheart and Philip III shall be constructed outside the City of Vienne for weary travellers to rest in their warm embrace.

After several short-lived weeks of harassing the Kongzem’s most pious ally of the Commonwealth of Sutica, intervention of Haeseni forces have led to the quick and total defeat of the rebels. In light the Kongzem’s crushing military might, the the Southern Sutican Alliance has rightfully surrendered to Haeseni mercy on the following terms:

1. The Southern Sutican Alliance shall recognize the sovereignty of her Majesty Johanna I, and her descendants, over the Commonwealth of Sutica; 
2. The Southern Sutican Alliance shall disarm and cease all hostilities against the Commonwealth of Sutica;
3. The Southern Sutican Alliance shall allow the Commonwealth of Sutica to occupy all rebel-held territory; 
4. The Southern Sutican Alliance shall be dissolved entirely;
5. The Kongzem of Hanseti-Ruska will act as intermediary between the countersignatory of this Surrender and the Commonwealth of Sutica on all outstanding matters relating to the defeated rebellion;
6. The countersignatory shall be placed under Haeseni custody; 

It pleases the Crown most greatly to accept the surrender of the ill-fated rebellion and to behold the most excellent performance of the Brotherhood of Saint Karl throughout this campaign. The Kongzem of Haense now eagerly looks forward to a period of southern peace, fostered through its cooperation with the Commonwealth of Sutica.

Article I - War Guilt and Surrender

The Kingdom of Norland admits full guilt for its attempted invasion of the Holy Orenian Empire, thus surrendering to Oren and officially ceasing all hostilities.

Article II - Coalitionary Withdrawal and Prohibition

The Kingdom of Norland shall immediately terminate its membership in the Iron Accord and be prohibited in perpetuity from involvement in any military alliances, pacts, coordinations, or coalitions with its former members: The Kingdom of Haense, The Grand Kingdom of Urguan, and the Silver State of Haelun’or.

Article III - Border Disputes and Aggressive Expansion

The Kingdom of Norland shall perpetually halt all expansion, settlement, and claims into any region southward or eastward of its extant territory.

Article IV - War Reparations

The Kingdom of Norland shall pay twenty-thousand Minas to the Holy Orenian Empire by the end of this Saint’s month. Thereafter they shall pay eight-hundred minas a Saint’s week until the total tribute paid to the Holy Orenian Empire reaches forty-thousand.

Article V - Military Truce

The Kingdom of Norland and the Holy Orenian Empire shall refrain from any and all military action against the other party for an indefinite period following King Sven's surrender. Violation of any articles within this treaty on the part of Norland will justify Oren's corrective intervention by any means deemed necessary by the Imperial Crown.

Treaty between the Holy Orenian Emperor and

the King of Sutica and their respective allies.

PREAMBLE

Be it known to all whom it may concern, and in the name of God:

That in years past our Descendant peoples have been embroiled in lengthy and disastrous wars within and without, and that these civil divisions and violent discords have been stirred within our hearts so that all conflicts have been magnified beyond their original scope and intention. 

We have suffered a loss of Descendant blood over conflict of years passed, and long forgotten by living peoples, and in these circumstances we have seen the desolation of territories, kingdoms, and empires.

From this conflict two sides emerged with intent to drive the other into the sea, neglecting the prosperity of their peoples in peace, and maligned to see hellfire upon each of their belligerents.

And in this dark night the Church of the Canon has committed itself to tranquility between nations and peoples of all blood, such is the disposition of His Holiness that we now end our feuds, replacing them with domestic and international tranquility.

For this purpose we hereby mutually agree and bind to this covenant, in the year 1780, a peace of both parties with the following articles consented to fully.

The Church of the Canon, harbouring such thoughts of peace, did call a series of assemblies amongst plenipotentiary ambassadors in the year 1778. On the one side, and on behalf of His Imperial Majesty, His Excellency Sir Simon Basrid KCS, Imperial Archchancellor. On behalf of the Sutican State, His Royal Majesty Corwin von Alstreim, Trade Monarch of the Free State of Sutica. And by mediation of His Excellency Amadeus d’Aryn, Vice-Chancellor to the High Pontiff, who had been inclined to be an impartial mediator in the peace. The peace herein was agreed to and publicated in 1780.

ARTICLE I.

That the Basrid Ministry, on behalf of the Holy Orenian Empire, acknowledges concession of strategic aim and fault in escalation of this war, particularly in light of the Inferi invasion, and endeavors to adhere to the terms of the General Concordat for Canonist States in the future, that such a conflict does not repeat; and that its challenge to Sutican sovereignty is put to an end and all forces are withdrawn from this effort, dismissing all previously raised points of contention with that government, and seeks to restore historical diplomatic relations per the Treaty of Sutica, 1543, naming Amadeus d’Aryn as its ambassador to the Sutican government. 

ARTICLE II.

That there shall be a Canonist peace which is universal, perpetual and sincere, between His Imperial Majesty and His Royal Majesty; and also between all respective allies, and that this will be true for His Imperial Majesty, the House of Helane, its heirs and successors; as will it be true for His Royal Majesty, the House von Alstreim, and the Sutican government’s heirs and successors. 

ARTICLE III.

That there shall be a declaration from His Holiness, the High Pontiff James II that all sins are to be absolved and all crimes pardoned since the beginning of the conflict, as well as a general amnesty to all belligerents; and that there shall not be hostilities by way of persons, governments or militaries, neither of themselves or by others, directly or indirectly, privately or otherwise. That the King of Sutica will extradite the remains of Peter Amadeus and the Countess Pompourelia to the Holy Orenian Empire, for a Canonist burial.

ARTICLE IV.

That none who are a signatory of this treaty shall provide armaments, soldiers, money or protection to enemies of other signatories to this treaty in the future, and shall abjure those belligerents should they make themselves known.

ARTICLE V.

That in future controversies arising, arbitrators shall be nominated and upheld by both sides, giving favor to the Church of the Canon, and that all possible friendly means of diplomacy shall be exhausted entirely before any hostile action.

ARTICLE VI.

That the territories and estates owned by the signatories shall be left at the full liberty and disposal of their masters and that their rights to sovereignty shall not be infringed upon; and that no external Lord shall make an attempt to exert themselves upon the sovereign territory of another. That finally the signatories of the treaty mutually recognize the legitimacy of their respective monarchs within their own realms, and the processes governing their successions.

ARTICLE VII.

That according to the general amnesty, all prisoners on either side, without distinction to status, shall be released and allowed to be restored peacefully to their homes without damage or delay

ARTICLE VIII.

That pursuant to the Palatine Concordat, as soon as this peace has been signed all hostilities shall immediately cease and parties shall put all that has been written into execution; and that all remaining troops that are making war be discharged and placed elsewhere by each party. That all parties agree to ratify this peace.

ARTICLE IX.

That no soldier or garrison shall oppose the execution of this peace, but that it shall be promoted; and that any ordeal to the contrary shall be suppressed by all parties and executors of this treaty.

ARTICLE X.

That they who shall contravene this peace or oppose its execution, or by the promulgation of laws, decrees, edicts, adjudications, appeals or exemptions that go against the spirit of the treaty after ratification has been made; he shall be declared an infringer of the peace and punishment shall be taken against them. That likewise all parties shall be obliged to defend and protect all articles of this peace.

It has pleased Wyrvun to dispose the hearts of His Serenity, Ithrendas I of House Regis, Empyrion of The Concord, Suzerain of Llyria, etc. and of His Serene Highness, Aelthos of the Tundrak Bloodline, Third of his Name, Grand Prince of the Princedom of Fenn and Mali’Fenn, Patriarch of the Tundrak Bloodline, etc. to forget all past grievances and hostilities that have upset the prosperity and good fortune which the two mutually wish to restore to their respective nations, and to remedy and reestablish their fractured discourse in the name of securing perpetual peace and harmony. Having not yet met this desirable end as of the 9th of the Deep Cold, 1730, the commissioners empowered by each side have therefore drafted a proposal seeking an end to the longstanding conflicts in the hopes of reaching the same peace that seemed unattainable mere months ago. Upon review of the treaty, the respective monarchs have hereby accepted and confirmed the following articles.

TREATY ARTICLES:

ARTICLE I. Hostilities between the Fennic Alliance and the Concord of Llyira are to cease effective immediately. Moreover, the Llyiran-Uruguan border is to be demilitarized within a period lasting no more than one Elven Day from the ratification of this treaty.

The Oren-Urguan Peace Treaty of 1725

War for the sake of war is senseless and violent. The Fenn-Oren-Urguan Peace Treaty of 1725

The great questions of our days will not be settled by means of speeches and voting, but by steel and blood. Both parties have met steel with steel and shed the blood of one another. This has not been the first time, nor will it likely be the last. However, for every battle where their swords and shields clash against the others, there has been a battle where they have stood side by side against the greater threat. As such, both parties agree to bring a white peace to their nations, in the hope of protecting their people from senseless bloodshed. 

The Terms, agreed upon by both signatories, are as follows:

1. The Rexdom of Krugmar and the Under-Realm of Urguan do hereby agree to cease all hostilities, of either a physical or political nature, between them. 

2. Both parties agree to a strict pact of mutual non-aggression between them, refusing any and all calls of war against each other.

3. Both parties recognize each other as the sole bastion of their people, Dwedmar and of Krugs Blood respectively, and as such agree to these terms for the mutual benefit of their people. 

4. The pact shall last until either signatory is no longer in power, at which time the successors of either signatory may choose to resign this pact within 2 Cactus weeks.

2. The signatory parties shall agree to the following terms to be grouped under a “Common Sense” clause with the purpose of explicitly stating a variety of mutual agreements to be adhered to by both nations.

1. 1. The free and unhindered traffic of goods and servicesa between either nation shall agreed to and enforced by this document.

2. 2. The extradition of wanted criminals to the nation seeking their punishment.

3. 3. The unhindered traffic of citizens between the cities of the signatory parties.

3. The signatory parties shall enter into a full military alliance, promising the whole of their forces in the instance of conflict or aggression towards either nation.

4. The Princedom of Fenn shall recognize the right and lawful lordship of the Under-Realm of Urguan over Da Arakh Agnarmar*, the tunnels beneath them, and the Autumn Tree as well as those which may be gained by conquest.

1. 1. “Da Arakh Agnarmar” or The White Mountains: The mountain range to the west of the outer ring road of the Cloud Temple as it stretches from the sea in the south to the borderlands in the far north.

5. The Under-Realm of Urguan shall recognize the right and lawful lordship of the Princedom of Fenn over the region of Snowy Cliffs as well as though which may be gained by conquest.

6. This treaty shall last for a total of 12 Stone Weeks, at the conclusion of which the leaders of both signatory parties shall meet to renegotiate this agreement.
