The words of an old women may not mean anything to the eleven community. But from my many years, I have nothing but knowledge to share. Nothing but truth. I have sat by while my son-in-law tarnishes his legacy and leads his kingdom to the ground. But I will not stand by as an illegitimate child born from a traitor ascends throne. If an ascend must be led by the family of Uliben who had taken my late child under the care as I was in recovery. They most know a mothers love before all else. They most understand to see your legacy crushed and tarnished by time that if a child of Xavis Ashwood must ascend throne that is must be born from his seed through marriagal  vows. His children may be his clan, but his blood is not to be brought down with his downfalls. 

Under the royal consort decree of Vanvir Ashwood I call for a ruler of Noble Blood if not at all. 

If these decreements aren’t made, then Xavis Ashwood it is your Clan that you must sacrifice by enacting your chosen trials. Or it is your head that I am after, you disrespect your lates wife’s name by this behavior.  Your disrespect Wrens wishes and her half sisters wishes Mayan Avern by what you have done. If you cannot rule a kingdom, how are you to rule your family?

The Oynx Throne of Vira’ker has been passed down many times. Throughout the years it’s been clear that we’ve had struggles and triumphs but the High Prince can no longer take it. As the throne was passed to Xavis, it will be passed once more to a dear friend of his, one he would trust with his life to lead this beautiful ocean city of ours. Though do not fret, Vira’ker will stand strong, even under this new rule.

It was just today that the ex-Prince of Vira’Ker rightfully abdicated his throne as Grand Prince. Within his post, he did not actually announce who was the NEW leader and ruler of Vira’Ker… thus meaning that the throne is up for grabs as nothing is officially stated. It is with great honor that the Trade Nation of Sutica, together with the daughter of Xavis Ashwood, Eilistrae Ashwood, would like to announce her ascension to Grand Princess of Vira’Ker.

With the rightful words of Terr’hi Uialben, (Grand Prince Father of Sutica) Evelyn Uialben (Trade Queen Consort of Sutica), and the Trade Prince himself Mika Uialben, we announce her rule as legitimate. Whomever the Llyrian Concord would like to announce as the actual heir to the throne will be seen as illegitimate. Mali’Ker have always been dependant upon the ideals of family, and thus any sort of ruler that is not within the true Uialben-Ashwood family line is hearsay to the culture. Aswell, as the Uialben-Ashwood family line is under that of the Sutican government, whatever the old (ex-Sutican) Concord has to say should be taken with a grain of salt.

The Concord of Llyria has actually announced their will be a coronation of the new Trade Princess here soon… and there sure will be.

Laws and Ordinances of the Vira’ker Principality

Introduction

Upon the command of the High Council of the Principality of Vira’ker (hereby ‘the council’), the following document serves to supersede the currently present regulations that hold domain over the lands owned or presided (and those to be owned or presided) over by the current Principality leadership or splinter entities within the government. For the purposes of enforcement, the  following regulations hold applicability over each registered citizen of the Principality of Vira’ker (hereby ‘The Principality’), within or outside the lands previously described.

For the purposes of preemption, the regulations in this document are set as a basis for other treaties and regulations passed by the Principality, and may be superseded by more restrictive agreements made on a national, or multi-national level. In such an event, an addendum will be added in Appendix A of this document for the reference of interested parties. Changes, additions, or amendments to this document may only be made after proper vetting by the council, which has final in the interpretation of any and all regulations scribed here upon simple majority.

Section 1.1 Definitions.

For the purposes of this set of regulations and any others that directly affect the enforcement, or laying of the law in regards to the Principality, these definitions apply:

1. Citizens are defined as any land owning individual, or individual granted the privilege to build upon Principality lands. Citizens also include those individuals with familial ties to the those that fit the aforementioned description, only when they are not allied with a foreign power or organization that acts against the interests of Vira’ker.
    

2. Officials are defined as those individuals who hold a title bestowed by the council who are entrusted with a variety of duties further outlined in the charter of Vira’ker. Officials do not however include those individuals who assume official-like duties, but have not been officially named. Any regulation that applies to a citizen further applies to an official, but not in the reverse.
    

3. Guards are defined as those individuals who enforce the laws and Ordinances of the Principality of Vira’ker. They are the uniformed Vihai’ker who are to protect the Prince, Council, and the Citizens of the Principality. Guards are to be vigilant and respectful at all times. The Vihai’ker are to act professional at all times while bearing the uniform.
    

4. Suspects are defined as those individuals who are considered by law enforcement of having committed a violation of the laws and regulations laid out by the Principality, or those by which the Principality operates under at a national level. Suspects are presumed to have perpetrated their suspected offence before their guilt is disproven before council. Prior to hearing on their offences being  scheduled, suspects are to be held by the Principality either in custody or under arrest of Principality lands at the discretion of arresting law enforcement.
    

5. Criminals are defined as those individuals who have not been relieved of their suspected guilt after a hearing before the council and, for all intents and purposes, are conclusively guilty of their accused crime. Criminals in the Principality are stripped of the rights and privileges guaranteed to them as Citizens, and will remain in this state until law enforcement deems that they have atoned for their crimes or been given a punishment befitting of their specific offence.

Section 1.2 Rights of Vihai’ker and Denizens of Vira’ker

Rights in this section are defined as the right and just legal entitlement to basic decencies and actions for any one person living within the Principality of Vira’ker.

1. All citizens within the Principality have the right to unrestricted freedom. Slavery is not permitted within the borders of the lands of the Principality, regardless of the citizenship of the owner of said slave.

   1. Slavery is defined as the ownership, domestication, or indentured servitude of one or more person(s)

2. Any one or more person(s) suspected of committing a crime within the borders of the Principality is within their right to request trial.

   1. Any Vihai’ker member caught committing a criminal offense will be subjected to court martial in a trial of their peers and comrades.

      1. Any Vihai’ker soldier caught abusing rank will be punished according to their superior officers.

   2. In the case of the High Prince committing criminal offenses, they will be tried in court led by the Lord Arbiter, with a jury consisting of other council members.
       

3. All persons are entitled to freedom of speech, so long as the contents of said speech are neither: provocative, inciting violence, slander against the state, or heresy.
    

4. All persons are entitled to bear arms, so long as they use so responsibly and legally.

   1. Any weapons illegally enchanted by the dark arts are outlawed.
       

5. All persons are entitled to the right to defend themselves from unlawful attacks upon their person
    

6. All persons are legally allowed to be alive unless ruled otherwise by the Lord Arbiter, High Prince, or a member of the Vihai’ker

Section 1.2 On Violent Offences.

Violent offences are defined by the presence of one or more sets of suspects and victims, of which the victim has suffered some degree of bodily harm able to be proven before council. The following list is not yet fully comprehensive of all potential violent crimes, but covers the most prominent and seeks to offer guidance for law enforcement and potential punishments.

1. Assault: is a violent act, physical or magical, wherein one criminal inflicts harm upon a victim. In the case of assault, the victim is given full rights to attempt to subdue the criminal with no legal recourse against them guaranteed by the state. 
    

   1. If the assault is to occur against a citizen or non-citizen of the Principality by a citizen, the offending individual is to be stripped of their rights and incarcerated. If there is clear proof of assault witnessed by law enforcement, a trial by council is not required, and the arresting officer may choose any (combination) of the following punishments:

          (i). Lashings, not to exceed thirty strokes in a public setting.

          (ii). A private beating of the criminal with bodily assault not to exceed damage inflicted upon the criminal’s victim.

          (iii). Fine of no less than 500 minas.

          (iv). Capital punishment, if the victim was brought to the point of near death.
       

   2. If the assault is to occur against a citizen or non-citizen of the Principality by a non-citizen, the suspect is to be immediately incarcerated and their nation of origin contacted by the swiftest means available by law enforcement (if and only if the nation in question and the Principality are on ‘friendly’ and non hostile grounds). The suspect is then to be extradited to the nation in question for punishment. In the case that the suspect’s nation of origin is not friendly with the Principality, a trial is to be held by council regardless of the blatancy of assault committed, and only then might the criminal be subjected to any combination of the punishments described in 1.2§1.

2. Murder: is a violent act defined by an individual (not sanctioned by Principality officials) taking the life of another in an act of malice or ill intent. Murder is defined not by the fact that the victim stays dead, but rather by the act of depriving them of life for any period of time.
    

   1. If murder is to be committed against a citizen or non-citizen of the Principality by a citizen, the offending individual is to be stripped of their rights and incarcerated. All cases of murder are to be granted trial by council, and if the suspect in question is confirmed in their guilt, the following punishments are to be executed in order.

          (i). A brand is to be set upon the forehead of the criminal and healed (clerically or otherwise) as to mark the offender permanently for their crimes.

          (ii). Once healed from the first punishment, the dominant arm of the criminal is to be removed and the resultant wound again healed criminal is to be removed and the resultant wound again healed shut to ensure the mark remains permanent.

          (iii). The criminal is to be exiled from the lands of the Principality, and missives are to be sent to allied nations to communicate this exile.
       

   2. If murder is to be committed against a citizen or non-citizen of the Principality by a citizen, the offending individual is to be immediately executed by responding officials upon capture after information has been extracted regarding the criminal’s nation of origin, name, and motives. 

Section 1.3 On Non-Violent Offences.

Non-violent offences are described as those actions against an individual or the Principality itself taken with the intent to cause harm. The following list is non-comprehensive, and only covers the most common of non-violent crimes recognized by the Principality.
 

1. Disorderly Conduct: is the action of one or more criminals which poses a non-physical threat to the victims, or the property of victims. While disorderly conduct itself is a blanket term, examples include: loitering, excessive noise, conflict-instigation, and so on. Viewed as a more minor crime by the Principality, the following punishments are to be dealt to offenders engaging in disorderly conduct - with a trial by council only required at the time of the fourth offence.
    

   1. If disorderly conduct is engaged in by a citizen of the Principality, as determined by law enforcement, the following punishments are to be carried out, the severity of which increases for each offence, and each being recorded on a per individual basis by law enforcement:

          (i) Verbal warning.

          (ii) Verbal warning II

          (iii) Fine of no less than 100 minas.

          (iv) Trial by council with the potential of exile for a term of two elven months. If guilt is certified, then any further offences after exile will be punished starting at step (iii).

2. Slander: is the action of one or more criminals knowingly issuing falsehoods against one or more victims with the intent to demean, undermine, frame, or otherwise damage the reputation of those targeted.
    

   1. If slander is committed by a citizen of the Principality against another citizen, or allied entity of the Principality, one or more of the following punishments may be carried out after trial by council. 

          (i) A fine may be issued against the criminal of an amount no less than 200 minas. Property may be confiscated  if the individual is unable to pay.

          (ii) The criminal may be incarcerated for a period of no greater than one elven day.

          (iii) The tongue of the criminal may be cut out or mutilated with oversight of a healer to ensure the procedure is carried out correctly, and without undue suffering on the behalf of the criminal.
       

   2. If slander is committed by a non-citizen of the Principality against a citizen, or allied entity of the Principality, one or more of the following punishments may be carried out by law enforcement provided an eye-witness or reputable report of the incident.

          (i) A fine may be issued against the criminal of an amount no less than 200 minas. Personal possessions may be confiscated if the individual is unable to immediately pay.

          (ii) The criminal may be exiled from the Principality for a period of no less than one elven week.

          (iii) The tongue of the criminal may be cut out or mutilated with or without the oversight of a healer

       

   3. If slander is committed by any criminal against any member of the Principality’s council, one or more of the following punishments may be carried out by law enforcement (in addition to any punishments listed in 1.3§c2) after trial by council wherein the victim slandered is not present. If more than half of the council was subject to slander, the previous caveat is lifted
         (i) Public lashings, beatings, or executions depending upon the severity of slander issued.
          (ii) Indefinite exile from the Principality with no chance of appeal.

3. Theft: is defined as the taking of a victim’s property without their expressed permission or permission from the council in the case of repossession. Such criminals acting as mediators between thief and potential buyers of stolen goods will be considered to have stolen the objects themselves unless adequate evidence to the contrary can be shown.
    

   1. If theft is committed by a citizen of the Principality again a citizen or non-citizen as determined by law enforcement, any stolen goods are to be immediately confiscated and the individual incarcerated until such a time they may face trial by council. If theft is committed and the act is only later revealed, the individual will be immediately given trial by council, after which one or more of the following punishments will be issued in addition to the requirement that the stolen items (or their value in mina) are returned to the victim.

          (i) Branding of the hands to mark the thief

          (ii) Removal from positions of influence within the Principality

          (iii) Incarceration for no longer than one elven week
       

   2. If theft is committed by a non-citizen of the Principality against a citizen or non-citizen as determined by law enforcement, any stolen goods to be immediately confiscated and the criminal in question to be exiled from Principality lands for a time no less than one elven week. If the individual returns before the end of their exile, or if they offend a second time, they are liable to being punished as a citizen, defined in 1.3§d1.
       

   3. If theft is committed by a non-citizen of the Principality against a citizen or non-citizen as determined by law enforcement, any stolen goods to be immediately confiscated and the criminal in question to be exiled from Principality lands for a time no less than one elven week. If the individual returns before the end of their exile, or if they offend a second time, they are liable to being punished as a citizen, defined in 1.3§d1.
       

4. Practice of Dark Arts: is the action of a criminal wherein the individual in question has taken it upon themselves to actively practice magics hitherto considered ‘dark’ by the religious aspects and Archmagos of the Principality. 

   1. Should any individual be found actively practicing dark arts within the Principality they are subject to exile for a period not less than one elven month from the date of their discovery, with the suggested duration being indefinite if the criminal seems unlikely to change their ways.  

   2. Unauthorized Practice of Arcane, Divine, or Other Metaphysical Arts: is a class of actions wherein a criminal practices any category of magic outside areas designated ‘open’ zones without an appropriate licence, in the act of self defense, or authorization from the acting Archmagos of the Principality’s council.

   3. Should any individual, regardless of citizenship status, be found in violation of this ordinance by law enforcement, the following punishments may be issued after an initial verbal warning.

          (i). Fine, of no less than 200 minas.

          (ii). Fine, of no less than 300 minas.

          (iii). Incarceration for no less than one elven day and a 300 mina fine.

          (iv). Scaling incarceration by increments of two elven days, and fines scaling by increments of 50 minas for each additional offence.

Section 1.4 On High Crimes and Council Conduct.

High crimes by definition are those specific crimes committed by an official. Officials are capable of committing lower crimes as defined in sections 1.2 - 1.3, however citizens and non-citizens are incapable of committing any of the following crimes, save 1.4§b. High crimes and their associated punishments are as follows:
 

1. Bribery: is the transaction of monetary, physical, or metaphysical goods between two individuals, one of which being a Principality official, and the other being another Principality official, citizen or non-citizen.

   1. For the criminal bribing an official, successfully or otherwise, the following punishments may be levied against an individual.

          (i). A fine of 100 minas in addition to the offered bribe.

          (ii). Public service by task of manual labor.

          (iii). Removal from any publicly held Principality position.    

          (iv). Capital punishment in severe cases
       

   2. For the official, if there is proof they accepted the criminally offered bribe, then the removal from their publicly held office is effective immediately, and the council may issue any of the following punishments in addition.

          (i). A fine of 100 minas in addition to the accepted bribe.

          (ii). Public service by task of manual labor.

          (iii). Incarceration for no less than one elven week.

          (iv). A ban from holding public office for no less than an elven month.

          (v). Capital punishment in severe cases. 

2. Treason: is the action of betrayal of the Principality or any subservient entities to otherwise hostile, or foreign powers not sanctioned for information exchange by the council.
    

   1. Due to the fact that only officials are capable of committing treason, once the guilt of the criminal has been proven, their position is to be stripped from them and that criminal banned from serving in an official position indefinitely. Dependent upon the severity of treason, and the impact it had upon the Principality, the following punishments may also be issued.

          (i). Incarceration for a time not to exceed one elven month.

          (ii). Lashings or public beatings with no set count, or time limit.

          (iii). Banishment for no less than one elven month.

          (iv). Execution, ritualistic or otherwise dependent if the transgression has also slighted the Ancestors.

       

   2. If the Prince is found to be guilty of high treason, of which is the act of endangering the peoples of the Principality for their own desires, then they are to be impeached, and removed from power by the acting council. Any one member of the council is able to make a claim to the throne if the charges of high treason are applicable. 
       

      1. Should a council member challenge the reigning Prince(ss)’s claim to the throne, they will be subjugated to a honourable dual by combat, chess, or any other means which is agreed upon by the two participants 
          

3. Maladministration: if the action of an official being found inefficient, incompetent, or in negligence of their appointed position. A maladministration charge may be leveled against a council member by another, or by petition of the citizenry - or against a lower official by council member or similar petition by the citizenry.
    

   1. In the case that an individual has been shown to have committed maladministration without intent to harm the principality, the first in the following list of available punishments is mandatory, with those that follow after it being applicable dependent on the severity of the mishandling of position.

          (i). A fine ranging from 100 minas to 600 minas.

          (ii). Removal from official position.

          (iii). Banishment for no less than one elven month.

          (iv). Public lashings to not exceed twenty strokes.

       

   2. In the case that an individual can be shown to have committed maladministration with intent to harm the principality, or that the negligence of their position may have resulted in some harm or another to the citizenry, the punishments detailed in 1.4§c1 are similarly applicable, with the caveat that both the first and second are mandatory.

Section 1.5 On Enforcement Policies and Vigilantism.

This section intends to define in part the duties guaranteed to individuals in a law enforcement role within the Principality, as provided in the council. Further, controls and regulations regarding the act of vigilantism are put in place in the following subsections.
 

1. Certification of Privilege Provided to Law Enforcement: Law enforcement is defined as those entities that the Principality has designated responsible for keeping its citizenry safe and has provided certification to handle any potentially damaging situations that the Principality might face. Individuals within law enforcement may take liberties to detain, restrain, or disable any individual they have reason to suspect might be in violation of the Principality’s regulations. Privilege provided to these citizens is revoked during any criminal investigation or trial that such a member might be a party to, and will remain revoked if a guilty verdict is found by council.
    

2. Protections Against Inquest for Law Enforcement: As part of their duties, law enforcement officials are not subject to legal backlash as part of their day-to-day routines and any extraordinary circumstances that may arise during them. This is to say that if - while on duty - a member of law enforcement must violate standard conduct to ensure the safety of the Principality and its citizens, that they may not be tried in council for such a transgression, so long as it can be shown they were acting in the interest of the state.
    

3. Definition and Principality Stance on Vigilantism: Vigilantism is defined as one or more citizens taking the law into their own hands, generally through either the deescalation, apprehension, or diffusion of a criminal element or situation. The Principality considers the vigilante an unlawful entity for the sake of criminal considerations, however - if the act results in apprehension of one or more criminals by law enforcement - the council will drop any pending charges against the vigilante and they may be rewarded for their act of bravery.Provided that the vigilante act does not lead to the capture of a criminal, or if the assumed criminal is proven innocent before council, the following punishments may be levied upon the vigilante in question.

       (i). A fine of 50 minas.

       (ii). Required service within law enforcement.

       (iii). Incarceration for no more than one elven day.

    

   1. Should the vigilante not be a citizen of the Principality, all of the punishments as defined in 1.5§c1 are applicable, with the additional option of exile for a period of time as determined by council.

Section 1.6  On Religious Policies, Guidelines, and Enforcement.

The council of the Principality is a decidedly secular station, however, recognizes the deep religious and spiritual origins that the Mali’ker people owe themselves to. As such, this section seeks to put in place religious protections for citizens and non-citizens alike, provides state support for sponsored religious entities, and outline common religious crimes.
 

1. Certification of Privilege Provided to Religious Practitioners: The Principality chooses to acknowledge the worship of one’s ancestors as the true faith of the Mali’ker people, and as such guarantees the safety of this religion’s practitioners - no matter of what origin or nation - within its lands, so provided that these practitioners harbor no intent to directly participate in the harm of the Principality nor its allies. Other faiths are similarly welcomed within the Principality, however the same extent of international privilege does not apply to those seeking entrance and acceptance on religious merit alone.
    

2. Support for Ancestral Worshiping Organizations: The council extends its support to the primary worship of the Principality, by offering the current head of the Ancestral religion a place within its ranks. This individual, for all intents and purposes, is a functioning member of the council, though not a true official for the purposes of diplomatic relations and regulations. Practitioners of ancestral worship within the Principality’s lands will also be shown leniency by the council should any crime they stand accused of being directly related to the veneration of an ancestor.
    

3. Desecration: is defined as the act of one or more criminals vandalizing, defacing, improperly honoring, or otherwise interrupting the intended function of a place of worship. For the purposes of this regulation, all places of worship are considered equal, regardless of the venerated figure intended by the location.

   1. Should the criminal committing this act be a citizen of the Principality, the following punishments may be issued against them after trial by council.

          (i). A fine to not exceed 300 minas.

          (ii). Public service by task of manual labor in religious areas.

          (iii). Public lashings or beatings.

          (iv). Exile for a period of no less than one elven week.

       

   2. Should the criminal committing this act be a non-citizen of the Principality, any applicable punishments found in 1.6§c1 may be issued, in addition to ritualistic sacrifice to the desecrated shrine should this individual be a known criminal.
       

4. Heresy: is defined as the act of one or more criminals publicly expressing falsehoods or slanderous opinions relating to any religious organizations (or venerated entities) supported by the council. Dissent of this category may be carried out privately within one’s own dwelling, however is considered a most heinous crime even in the case any pious individuals overhear the unlawful speech.

   1. In the case that the criminal speaking heresy is a citizen of the Principality, the following punishments may be applied to them upon first offence, with the caveat that the final punishment should only be considered if the heretical individual is a repeat-offender.

          (i). A fine of no less than 200 minas.

          (ii). Incarceration for no less than two elven days.

          (iii). Public service by task of manual labor in religious areas.

          (iv). Public lashings or beatings.

          (v). Ritualistic execution to please the slighted ancestors.

       

   2. In the case that the criminal speaking heresy is a non-citizen of the Principality, any of the applicable punishments found in 1.6§c1 may be issued, however with the caveat that the final punishment may be applied to a first offence heinous enough to warrant its inaction.

The Old Establishes a New

For far too long, our royal throne has remained empty and stagnant whilst the royal crowns have collected an insulting layer of dust and grime. Vira’ker is in need of proper leadership, and after consulting with former princes Valen Syllar, Vulnir Syllar, and the former princess Leilatha Syllar, it has been decided that I, Vas Vincrute, will be taking on the mantle of Prince of Vira’ker. It is with this change and many more changes to come that I hope to bring stability and prosperity to our Principality once and for all.

A Fresh Slate

With this final change of leadership, it should come to no surprise that all former treaties, pacts, and the like are now considered null and void. However, as Prince, I encourage all municipalities and political entities that this will effect to reach out to me and my Onyx Council so that new bonds can be formed.

A Declaration of Neutrality

To start off my leadership, I wish to announce that the Sable Principality of Vira’ker will be taking a stance of neutrality regarding the current conflict plaguing Arcas. Myself and the Onyx Council will be focusing our resources into restoring our city so that it may become something greater than what it is now.

A Final Thought

I wish the best for the Mali’ker people, along with the entire populous of Vira’ker. I truly do. I was given the choice to allow the city and the Principality as a whole to fade away entirely. I am a stubborn Mali’, and I can’t allow this to happen without stepping into the ring and giving it my own attempt. I will give my all, and I will strive to obtain nothing more than the security, loyalty, and happiness of my people. I end this proclamation in hopes that this is just the beginning of a new, bright era for the Sable Principality of Vira’ker.

After some deliberation and evenings dedicated within the confines of my study, I pen this letter to be authentic and therefore fulfilled to its entirety by my former privy.

As of this day, and every day onward, I renounce my claim and eternal belonging to the Prince of Vira’ker and all subsequent titles. Tendering this resignation, and upon final royal decree, the following is enacted:

           -Upon coming of age. my eldest son and heir, Prince Vaelor Syllar, shall assume the Mantle of Vira’ker as birthright, adhering to the wise counsel of the Regency.

           -Until Prince Vaelor reaches maturity, the former Onyx Council shall reform as a Regency Council, one to counsel and maintain realm stability and prosperity. Upon this council are the following individuals, all of which may style oneself as Regent:

          -Upon the abdication of the throne, all signed pacts, alliances and documents are hereby abolished; effectively null and void. The Sable Principality shall maintain a state of perpetual neutrality until the ascension of Prince Vaelor.

“Everyone I have befriended in Vira’ker, this is not out of spite. As a mother and wife I must do what is best for the future of my family. I leave you my clinic, and it’s items within. It was an honor being your Princess, but my duty lies within the heart of Igne’acaela herself. I am a Warhawke, now and forever. I was never the type to be called a Princess, or behave like one for the matter. I wish to be free without fear that my death will cause harm to the citizens within Vira’ker, I wish to be able to freely roam around and meet new faces and learn new things.       THE TENETS OF VIHAI’KER

1. Bound by Duty

Vihai’ker must serve for ten years before being allowed retirement. Vihai’ker shall be expected to raise their children as Vihai’ker. They too must serve for ten years before being allowed to venture to over professions.

2. Adorning the Garb

Every Vihai’ker must maintain their armor and equipment as if it were a living entity. Every member is heavily encouraged to wear their armor as often as possible. For beneath the helm, they may look different. But with it, all look the same. Vihai’ker are welcome to adorn custom armor pieces and such, to allow personality to each. ((As long as the skin maintains an overall 70% of its original look))

3. The Hearth

Family has been deeply rooted in civil life since the dawn of time. Though Vihai’ker may not all be related by blood, they are to consider one another family. For in their armor, they all appear to look the same. Their bonds are to surpass the bonds of blood.

4. Comrades-at-Arms

Vihai’ker are fully expected to train and teach one another in the art of combat. Each Vihai’ker will have to uphold their own in combat regardless of sex, race, age, or profession. Vihai’ker are not allowed to retreat unless directly ordered to do so. They are to hold their ground, even if they stare death in the face.

5. Coherent Institution

Vihai’ker must uphold and maintain a steady education. Members unable to read or write shall promptly be taught how to do so. They are to teach their offspring how to do so. If certain Vihai’ker are lacking with access to information, it is the duty of another Vihai’ker to take it upon themselves to properly teach their fellow Vihai’ker.

6. Loyalty

All Vihai’ker must serve for the greater good, for the best interest of Vihai’ker, and for the crowned royalty of Vira’ker. Vihai’ker shall swear loyalty to one another, as each shall be entrusted with another life. Vihai’ker are banished from lying to one another. The punishment for lying is public flogging.

RANKING

High Prince

Created beneath the rule of Vira’ker, The Prince of Vira’ker will assume overall control of the order. Orders will come directly from the crown, and handed down through the proper chain of command.

Hortiator

The Hortiator shall assume control of the military on day to day matters. They report directly to the High Prince. And shall pass down orders from the chain of command, or issue orders themselves to their troops of Vihai’ker. They will be in charge of maintaining military affairs, as the High Prince must run a nation. They will handle most situations unless the High Prince is directly required. The Hortiator shall oversee promotions to Ordinators, and Hierarchs.

Ordinators

Ordinators  serve beneath the Horitiator as close advisers, and give out orders to the rest of Vihai’ker. They will be required to help document on matters. Ordinators  will help oversee the overall affairs within the order. They shall be entrusted with the recruitment of new Vihai’ker. Ordinators may appoint new Hierarchs with permission from the Hortiator. Ordinators are expected to lay their life on the line for Vira’ker.

Hierarchs

Hierarchs serve as junior officers, entrusted with up keeping the peace within the order. They shall be the ones to deal with traitors and rule breakers. They will be expected to submit elven bi-weekly reports on activities and events taking place within Vira’ker. As well as document criminals when they commit a crime. Hierarchs are entrusted with the promotions of Vindicators,Vigilants, Aspirants, and Medics. Hierarchs are sworn to lay their life on the line for Vihai’ker

Vindicators

Vindicators are senior Vihai’ker. Proven hardy over the years, and truly battle worthy. Vindicators are upheld with the task of protecting their comrades and allies. They report directly to the Hierarchs. Vindicators are also entrusted with the detaining of criminals within city limits. They pass down orders from Hierarchs to the rest of Vihai’ker. Vindicators are sworn to lay their lives down for Vihai’ker

Vigilants

These are the bulk of Vihai’ker. They are tasked with the betterment of themselves, trained even further in the ways of fighting and the sharpening of their minds. Like Vindicators, Vigilants are entrusted to capture criminals and man their post. They are sworn to lay their live for Vihai’ker

Aspirants

Newly joined Vihai’ker. Be it through their blood or their desire to join, Aspirants are the recruits of the order. They are trained in the paths of fighting and taught knowledge they did not possess.

Quartermaster

The Quartermaster is entrusted with the arming of Vihai’ker. They are to produce a steady amount of armor and weaponry when quested. Their job can be more seasonal. In turn, the Quartermaster is not required to make their children Vihai’ker.

Medics

The medical branch of Vihai’ker are entrusted with the general health of Vihai and Vira. They are expected to go out onto the battlefield to keep their comrades and allies alive. Even lay down their lives should it come to it. Medics are not required to raise their children as Vihai’ker.

CULTURE

Vihai’ker are a proud people. And their roots to one another should go even deeper than any they have had before. For these are the men and women you will fight and die beside. There is no hate between one another. Issues with between one another Vihai’ker may spark a spar between the two. To prove who the better is. Small disputes can often be solved like this. Legal issues will be settled in court.

Regardless of  sex or race, each Vihai’ker are entitled to their own believes. However Vihai’ker will be creating their own holidays. To honor them and their way of life. Each Vihai’ker in encouraged to bring forth new ideas, to help better the order and bring those within closer.

Children joining the Vihai’ker must reach a physical state that allows them to properly wield weapons before joining. Parents are encouraged to train them beforehand.

As said in the tenets, all Vihai’ker must uphold a steady education. Knowledge is treasured by most all mortal races. And knowledge is not to be withheld from one another. Lying between Vihai’ker’s is nearly unforgivable and strictly forbidden. Flogging has been the settled punishment for adult liars.

The armor they adorn would be considered a  relic to the Vihai’ker. As it signals that the other is something more than family. It strengthens the unity of each Vihai’ker regardless of race or sex. Out of their armor, they may be diverse. Within it, they are simply Vihai’ker.

TRADITION

THE GROOK

Once a year (In turn every elven week), all Vihai’ker shall gather for

days, or sometimes even weeks of celebration, training, tournes,with a general carnival like atmosphere and games. During this, for a full day and night. ((1 hour)) The Vihai’ker shall retire to speak to one another. And discuss important events, share reports, and pass general knowledge to one another. This part of the event is not open to the general public of Vira’ker.

BINDING

Not literally binding, but this tradition implores Vihai’ker to seek a group or at least one other Vihai’ker to spend some time with, to get to know them better. This will overall increase the personal ties to one another. Each Vihai’ker should ideally perform this rite once a month. What each gathering will do is up to the group. It could be an ideal time to train, or finish up on work you were doing with the aid of others.

MORNING LIGHT

Vihai’ker that arise early in the morning shall prepare a glass of water, and a hearty meal before reach a spot where they can see the sun. They shall thank their comrades, and offer praise towards the order beneath the watchful and burning gaze of the sun. As they dine, Vihai’ker should reflect inward. Counting their mistakes and figuring out ways to fix them. (This should last at least four emotes)

DUSK TILL DAWN

Vihai’ker that arise later in the day and stay up through the nights shall prepare a meal fitting for the night. During this tradition, Vihai’ker may drink ale or a similar alcohol with their meal. Fish over rice is a very common dish for this. This tradition is best when practiced with other Vihai’ker, as it is to celebrate the life of one another and yourself. And offer praise to the good accomplishments you and your comrades have performed.

REMEMBRANCE, and the Jiubian Bonfire.

Once every two years, the Vihai’ker meet fully once more for a more closed off holiday. A day to remember their fallen brothers and sisters. To honor those that have died in the line or duty, or of natural causes. This holiday is  the most formal one for Vihai’ker. They shall prepare food, after they mourn the loss of what was once alive, to sit down and have a feast together. After the meal is over, typically Vihai’ker retire back to their homes. In the case that the order does not wish to depart after the feast. They spread stories of the past, spar, and enjoy themselves. And as stated, an effigy of Jiub is to be constructed. Allowing offerings to be burnt, and the bodies of those that worshipped the spirits. Though the arrival of new religion enter the order, they too will be allowed to honor their dead as their customs allow.

Settling of New Lands

The Sable Principality has acquired new land in the Southern Sea near the Principality of Vilachia. This will not change the relations Vira’ker has with Aegrothond.

Many Mali’ker have been keeping busy by helping with the construction of their new capital. We do encourage all Mali’ker builders and craftsmen of Obair Clan to rally to our newly acquired lands to help with construction.

A Continuous Call to All Mali’ker

To all Moon-folk, Mali’ker, and Dark Elves, we welcome you to come settle our new lands with us even if you did not previously settle on our Isle of Harlond. Coronation of the High Prince

Due to the beloved Prince Vulnir Syllar’s elongated leave, Archmagos Avurak Syllar was crowned as Prince. His coronation went just as planned with festivities and smoking lasting well into the night. An interesting surprise took place at the coronation, Avurak Syllar was named High Prince of Vira’ker. This upgraded title was fitting due to the increased Mali’ker influence in the realm. Other good news - Hortiator Valen Syllar was officially named heir of the Principality of Vira’ker.

Clan Recruitment

All clans are recruiting! If you are clan-less I encourage you to seek out a Clan Leader for trials. If you prefer to be clan-less that is fine but you may get surprised and find a new family in your chosen clan. If you want to start your own clan you must submit a document to the High Council about your clan. If the High Council is impressed with your proposal we will add your clan to the list of clans in Vira’ker.

Lower Council

A Lower Council has been established in the Principality consisting of every Clan Leader in the nation. They will hold meetings to organize clan events and rules.

• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker swears to protect the Ashwood bloodline and their lands of Nyfe’andria.
• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker swears to eternally have a member of the Ashwood bloodline upon their council should such be possible.
• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker affords Nyfe’andria the right to self govern, having their own laws and ordinance separate from those of the Principality while within their personal domain.
• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker swears to allow those of the Nyfe’andria to dress according to the decision of their Laurir. This covers all things clothing and armor, permitting them to wear as little or as much as desired.
• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker swears that a member of the Ashwood bloodline may not be detained, arrested, imprisoned, or tried for a crime unless the order comes directly from the High Prince. The general citizenry of Nyfe’andria do not afford such benefit.
• The Sable Prinicipality of Vira’ker swears that for any person, creature, or entity that can present proof that they are with Nyfe’andria will be given a fair trial for even the most trivial of crimes committed if law enforcement decides to pursue judgment. Before a trial may commence a member of the Ashwood bloodline must be present.
• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker recognizes and will enforce that the Ashwood bloodline is that of nobility, Wren Vanvir Ashwood holding the title of Laurir, the valah equivalent of Duchess, during the tenure of this agreement.
• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker swears to allow the Laurir of Nyfe’andria to maintain their own guard force.
• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker will permit the Laurir of Nyfe’andria to partake in trade agreement as if an independent entity unless said trade agreement threatens the safety or relations of Vira’ker with other nations.
• The Sable Principality of Vira’ker swears to provide military or monetary support to Nyfe’andria in times of disaster, war, or suffering.

• The Laurir of Nyfe’andria swears to provide military or monetary support to their liege, the Sable Principality, in times of disaster, war, or suffering
• The Laurir of Nyfe’andria acknowledges that at any point the High Prince of Vira’ker and his council may enter the borders of Nyfe’andria, exempt from all laws and requirements of a citizen of Nyfe’andria, becoming guests without limitations, granting them full access to the Laurir’s lands.
• The Laurir of Nyfe’andria swears their land to be a safe haven for those of the Sable Principality in times of need or otherwise, being under obligation to provide shelter, defense, and basic necessities. Citizens of the Sable Principality are expected to follow the laws of Nyfe’andria while in the Laurir’ lands.
• The Laurir of Nyfe’andria swear to keep the Sable Principality involved or aware of all decisions or actions of internal government that may affect their liege.
• The Laurir of Nyfe’andria acknowledge they may not enforce their land’s laws while in the Sable Principality . Though may enforce their laws on citizens of the Sable Principality while said citizens are on the Laurir’s land.
• The Laurir of Nyfe’andria accepts and agrees that while a living member of the Ashwood bloodline, they may not be detained, arrested, imprisoned, or tried for committing a crime without order from the High Prince himself, they may be lawfully ordered out of the Sable Principality by domestic law enforcement officers or council members should they be posing immediate threat. Refusing to obey said lawful order may result in forceful removal from the Sable Principality.
• The Laurir of Nyfe’andria may use their personal guard force as law enforcement in the Sable Principality should banditry or otherwise illegal conduct occur while no official guard enforcement are present. The personal guard of the Nyfe’andria may otherwise not act unless requested.
• The Laurir of Nyfe’andria finally swears their loyalty and complete allegiance to the Sable Principality of Vira’ker, having no desire, making no attempts to become a vassal state under any other nations so long as this written agreement is upheld and respected.

Folk of the Moon and Earth

The banditry clamored around the soft glow of their fires, their jubilance filling the nearby woods. The wind whipped up leaves and other debris in the dark around the camp.

“Oh please, please don't! Here this is all I have, just please let me go!” one mocked to the mirth of his comrades as he attempted to wipe the crimson off his blade.

“Alfred, tell that story of yours about that shite colored pointy eared prick, the one with the glass on his face.”

The brawny and scarred man set down his mug with a smirk.

“Hannibal, Edgar and me was collectin’ tolls on the road and was ‘bout to come back to camp but this limpin creature comes on down the road.” Alfred rose, feigning a limp with a chuckle.

“Thing lacked all color, like one them farfolk traders but darker. So we holler out to the arse that we’s collecting tolls for the road. The darkie is wobblin’ his way towards us with that there cane” he pointed to a nearby piece of warped wood sitting in the mud.

“And this blackie is old; has more wrinkles than yer mother Igor. Anyways he tells us he has nothing but some stones and paper, so Edgar goes to pat him down and is knocked right on his back. The elf is wielding the cane like he's some mercenary or something, so Hannibal and me decide his life is a worthy toll. So since Edgar is rolling about on the ground like a child, I grab my sword while Hannibal goes for his bow.”

He coughed.

“The old man’s cane is made of somethin’ very strong and won't break no matter my multiple swings. When Hannibal finally gets his head out his arse and nocks an arrow he misses by a horse and a half. Soon enough though I have him on his back leg and am about to send him below when Hannibal decides to be a half decent shot and steal my loot.”

“Oi he nearly had you on yer arse Alfred. the fock ye mean?” a ragged haired man started from the opposite side of the fire.

“Oh shut up Hannibal ye stole that kill and y--” the brute’s response was cut short as an arrowhead protruded from his neck. The men around the fire stood up quickly, reaching for their swords in dismay.

“We’re under atta--!” the shout was drowned out by a large “POP!” as light exploded in the darkness, a beam of electricity throwing the remnants of Hannibal onto a nearby tent.

From the darkness of the treeline came creatures garbed in dark armour, only visible by their silver and white hair reflecting in the little moonlight that dripped through the canopy. They cut down those that fought, their black steel blades sending bodies to the ground with a thud.

Edgar ran, his feet felt like they were bleeding, his rotund figure making slow progress in the night. He tripped. He tried to rise but his foot was caught on something, he reached down to try and free himself. As he felt the dirt shifting he felt a moment of pure terror as the ground began to swallow his leg.

“Help!” he shouted, desperate for death to a blade rather than suffocation. From the darkness stepped out a tall figure dressed in dark robes, muttering words softly under their breath. Then another and another. The frames paused a few meters from Edgar as now only his neck protruded from the ground. The panicked bandit caught only the glint of a dagger as it was passed to the robed mali’ker.

The figure bent down, revealing a scarred blue-black face with silver hair underneath their hood.

“Please! I have money! I have treasure! Just let me go!”

The dark elf moved his free hand to Edgars lips, holding one finger in front of his mouth to quiet him. The shaman spoke in a deep voice, a foreign language that sent a tremble to Edgar’s core.

All went black for Edgar as the red plasma flowed down his neck to the ground below.

The figures turned, and with a militaristic gait, strode off into the darkness.

The Sable Principality of Vira'ker

“They’re creatures of the night. Just tell yourself they're only stories.”

The Mali’ker are a proud and strong race and thus ought to have a government that is as well. The Sable Principality of Vira’ker aims to assemble all dark elves together in a cohesive and effective manner. The Onyx, Ker’nor culture and religion, are encouraged all throughout the Confederation. The Vira’ker is comprised of a Prince and the council of clans.

Elders of the Confederation

                    Each member of the Council of Clans granted their recognition for Princeship by the Chief may select a member within their clan to be an Elder of Vira’ker. This means that when it is time for a new Chief, the council must select said chief from the appointed Elders. A Chief may also appoint one Elder that may not be from a clan should they wish for him/her to be considered as his successor.

The Council of Clans

The Council of Clans consists of each main clan that makes up the confederation. A Clan may enter the council by council vote or through extreme service to the Confederation. Each Clan is expected to do their part in service to their kinsmen and in doing so will often focus on a certain field of study, i.e. magicks, war, art, etc.

Current Clans

Syllar

The clan Syllar has existed for many years, though often not in the limelight. They’ve resided in stone caverns biding their time till such a point that they believed right to unite their kinsfolk together. With a focus on political intrigue, culture, and martial matters, the clan holds notable titles within the Principality. These ‘ker also mingle in magic arts but do not let the arts distract them from their duties or their kin.

Des’Nox

Of elder blood, the night kin have watched over the dark elven people for centuries. Now, they work to guide the Onyx sons and daughters onto the path of honour and Spiritual worship. They are craftsmen and warrior priests, fiercely devoted to the night sky and the Ancestors working ever towards their people.

T’Dyrr

Clan T’Dyrr began upon the marriage of Ganzorig and Ele’ira, binding the two formerly prominent clans of Ker’nor into a single family, as a off-set branch of Des’nox, following the banishment of the Vincrute for heresy. Members of Clan T’Dyrr are taught to look to the Ancestors above all else, with other religions and duties being accepted alongside the Mali’ker beliefs.Alongside religious and personal beliefs, Duty is taught above all else, with the belief that word of mouth contains one of the highest forms of value and integrity.

Uuthlini

Bards, brewmasters, dancers, jesters, chefs, and general merrymakers known for their love of celebration and, curiously, the color blue, earning them the affectionate nickname of “blueberries” among the other clans. Known to completely surround themselves in their family color, they believe blue to represent freedom, creativity, and inspiration; three traits highly prized in their clan. Phradic

Warriors, able-bodied, and fierce. Often being viewed as the more militaristic of mali’ker, they value tradition and fighting above all else (save for their very own clanmates). Only those with the most prowess and strength welcomed into the clan, as it is not for the faint of heart.

Reg’Wir

The Clan Reg'Wir specialize in cultures, arts and knowledge. From a hidden dark past, this clan recently arose to assist their kin in the dream of unification. Reg'Wirs counts many merchants, artists, scholars, artisans and strategists within their family.

Administration Positions

Prince of the Vira’ker

The Prince is the recognized leader of the Vira’ker and is responsible for the safety of those within the realm. The Prince acts in coordination with his council and the clans, ultimately holding the power of binding contracts. Drawing their power from the Onyx codex, they are ritually crowned in front of their kin by the Lord Auspex.

Lord Arbiter

The Lord Arbiter is in charge of all diplomacy and the recordkeeping that goes along with such, along with standing as the senior judicial authority in the lands of the Mali’ker. Often taking part in foreign diplomatic missions in representation or assistance to the Prince, the Arbiter’s main role is to document all legal and diplomatic proceedings taking place within the Principality, as well as relating to such. The final ceremonial role the Arbiter takes is the ability to hold judicial trial and administer punishments to individuals arrested by the Div’cruan or other Mali’ker policing forces, as well as host appeal boards in order to review banishments.

Hortiater

The Hortiater is the Head of the Div’cruan and all Mali’ker military forces. As Head of the Div’cruan, not only is the Hortiater expected to be a zealous individual, but also tactically cunning and politically attuned in order to deal with the intricacies of Geo-political warfare. While only the Prince of the Mali’ker may grant the title of Ordinator to its Military Commanders, the Hortiater’s recommendation is almost always a requirement.

Chamberlain

Assigns living situations for all citizens and can charge tax on behalf of the Principality. Also able to give evictions and sets up events for citizens to partake in. They are in charge of setting up stalls and the market for the Principality as well.

Lord Auspex

The Lord Auspex is in charge of all religious activities within the Principality. Their duty is to that of the Ancestors and the Spirits and making sure the onyx children are guided on the lunar path. They build and maintain a spiritual following in the Principality, devoted to converting wayward ‘Ker onto the path of honour, building and maintaining shrines and totems, blessing kin, and snuffing out heresy. Being sure that the paths of shadow and spider or any other heretical orders never take root.

Archmagos

The Archmagos position should be held by a neutral practicer of magic. They are responsible for documenting and regulating magic use within the Principality of Vira'ker along with researching anything they can about the realm. The approval of the Chief Scholar is required to use voidal magic within the Principality of Vira'ker and their lands. The Auspex also may veto certain acts of magicks that they deem against the betterment of the Principality.

He has been positively identified as the man who recently enslaved one of our own citizens,  who would still be, presumably, under his capture had it not been for a resident aiding in her purchase and freedom. Harlond Isle rejoiced in bustling festivity, a Mali’ker population ever growing to surpass that of founded nations. With festivities dying down and the bonfire neglecting to be fed, smoke heralded the closure of a night to be remembered. Rising tides of the Southern Sea licked up the beaches of the Sable Principality, fortified with rudimentary palisades adorned with wooden stakes. But what came with the rising tide had been the guttural throes of waterlogged beings, wading onto the beachhead.

Aspirant of the Div’cruan, Inara, a particularly alert Mali’ker stood atop the battlements; hearing the disturbance of water. Joining him atop the wooden walls came Elder Vulnir of Syllar, Emac of Reg’wir, and the recently promoted Hierarch Daichia Jusmia. Foolishly, or perhaps unknowingly beyond his depth, the Aspirant Inara plunged into the sands to courageously patrol what came in the night.

"Sir Inara, are ye’ seein’ anything?” inquired Emac aloud, peering helplessly into the darkness where Inara delved into moments earlier. “Aye, stay up there!” he responded below, hand resting cautiously upon his sword belt. As he neared, the murky depths bubbled as marine life darted away, weaving from the location.

Elder Vulnir provided overwatch, glove twitching as a tangible thrum filled the air; eventually resulting in a spatial lighting weaker than that of a sconce. Inara came upon what could be conveyed as sticks protruding from the surface of the water, and as swiftly the noises came quickly did Inara drown them out. Screaming, what could be made out of Inara dwindled, the audible thud of something heavy being dragged further and further from their domain.

Xavis of Ashwood, his daughter Morgana, Emac of Reg’wir, and Hierarch Daichia swiftly sprang to action, leaping from the battlements haphazardly, keen on aiding their fleeting compatriot. Sticks became spears, and the murky waters revealed two entities distinctly humanoid with their intent wholly clear. Stirring the Mali’ker awake, it came to life as though a hornet’s nest. Valen Syllar, Hortiator of the Div’cruan sprung to duty, hoisting himself up the rung ladder to evaluate the strife. With narrowed hues, the mind of a tactician processed the situation before exclaiming aloud to his kinsmen on the field.

“Mind your flanks, Div’cruan, they rise from the shore!” With his words came truth, seven beings arose from their watery grave from all sides, with all a bone to pick.

In tandem, the Syllar cousins dropped onto the beachfront, Vulnir channeling through his staff whilst Valen eliminated what distance had been between him and a waterlogged creature slogging from the sea. Thrusted had been the rusted brine of a pike undoubtedly diseased towards Valen’s shins, sidestepping and counter attacking in a duel for two. With a parry deflecting his advance, it took little time at all for the Hortiator to dispose of the creature, sinking his longsword into its throat.

Five of the Mali’ker previously descended swiftly made work of the mangled invaders, withstanding injuries yet nothing critical bar a spearhead driving deeply into Morgana’s shoulder. Vulnir whisked his staff, roaring violently with crackles popping in the air around the gemstone; a sickening bolt of electricity piercing by his comrades and meeting its mark. Flesh filled the air singing nostrils, cooked from his sinister magicks alongside the undeniable stench of iron. Bloodied became the beaches, viscera and entrails washing away with rising tides. Until the sea became crimson for the night, Vira’ker did not rest. Her people did not waver.

They stood triumphant, the first albeit small victory for the unified state of Mali’ker.

The Sable Principality of the Vira’ker

Forged in the strife of the Fringe wars, The Div'cruan were created many years ago to protect the Mali'ker and their homes within Ker'lomi. Their duty is first and foremost to their people and the Ancestors.

Through war and the ages, the Div’cruan upholds its sacred charge, the eternal vigil of the Ancestors who have come before them. As their name entails, they are to show no pain and no fear when they meet their enemy. The Mali'ker are a passionate people, yet in service of the Div’cruan they must not let passion get in the way of their duties, for passion leads to bloodlust. The Div’cruan must be devoid of feeling, just as Onyx is devoid of light. There is no joy in killing, there is no disdain in it either. Killing is simply a method to keep the Mali'ker safe. Nothing more, nothing less - Nothing.

Similar to the Archons of olden days, the Div'cruan show dedication to the Ancestors. Acting as their Champions and aiding in teaching populace of how to venerate and honour them, many Div’cruan will dedicate themselves and their lifestyles to a specific Ancestor, often idolizing and training in ways similar to theirs.

New blood of the Div’cruan, Mali’ker of strong hearts willing to serve their people; Aspirants are the newly armed members of the Div’cruan, yet to have receive their trials of initiation, such as hunts or feats of strength and loyalty.

Vindicator

The bulk of the ashen guard, the duty of a Vindicator is to follow the orders given to them by their superiors, protect their home, and uphold the ways of the Ancestors adamantly. These members of the Div’cruan often take pilgrimage together to Ancestral way-shrines in celebration and mourning of great events.

Hierarch

A mali'ker at the rank of Hierarch been promoted by either the Ordinator or the Prince of Vira’ker for outstanding duty. The job of a Hierarch is to moderate and oversee the Aspirants as well as conduct Ancestral teachings and trials for them and potential new Initiates.

Ordinator

A rank given only to a select few veteran Div’cruan who have displayed outstanding devotion to the people and the Ancestors. These are the Commanders of the mali'ker troops. Tasked with issuing orders to the soldiers and handing down orders from the Prince. Their word is to be followed to the letter.

Aspirants who are skilled in the Void or Other deific magic aside from Shamanism, yet still holding interest to serve the Ancestors; Once receiving their armor and weapons, they await their Test of Faith and Skill with this rank.

Sorcerer

A full battle-worthy mage of the Div’cruan. Their duty is to follow the orders given to them by their superiors, protect their home, and uphold the ways of the Ancestors adamantly, as well as assist in education Adepts on the proper use of magic. They are on par to Vindicators.

Censurer

A full battle-worthy deific mage of the Div’cruan. Their duty is to follow the orders given to them by their superiors, protect their home, and uphold the ways of the Ancestors adamantly, as well as assist in medical duties. They are on par to Vindicators.

Magos

This mali'ker voidal mage has been promoted by either the Ordinator or the Prince for outstanding duty. Their job is to moderate and oversee the Adepts as well as conduct Ancestral teachings for Aspirants, Adepts, Vindicators, and Sorcerers. They are on par to Hierarchs.

Prelate

This mali'ker deific mage has been promoted by either the Ordinator or the Prince for outstanding duty. Their job is to moderate and oversee the Adepts as well as conduct Ancestral teachings for Aspirants, Adepts, Vindicators, and Censurers. They are on par to Hierarchs.

Test of Faith (Initiate Trials)

When an Aspirant or Adept completes their training and are ready to take the next steps to becoming a full member of the Div’cruan, they must undergo a simple test of faith. Hierarchs, Ordinators or even the Prince himself will bestow a task onto them that they see will best prove the recruit. These tasks can differ depending on which ranked member decided and at times these tasks may even be quite dangerous; Often times related to a Spirit or Ancestor in nature.

The Ancestral Pledge

All mali'ker who complete their tests of faith must utter this pledge before becoming a Vindicator or some sort of Specialized role.

I, ___, swear upon my life to uphold the honor of my loved ones lost. My life is devoted to furthering the mali'ker in all forms. I do not seek sin, I seek the love of my Ancestors. I do not seek glory, the glory is theirs. I do not seek riches, coin is meaningless in the Astral Plane. If I stray from the path and into that of the barbarian then I relinquish my life and accept that I may never dwell with our blessed.

A Continuous Call to All Mali’ker
To the to those tired of isolation and consider themselves the moon-folk, the gray folk, the black folk, the Mali’ker, or whatever the name you have been called you will always have a place in the Sable Principality. I urge you to come to your kin, we will judge you naught on your past nationality or actions should you wish to reunite. 
 
Clinics, Smiths and Explosions
Verna’ker has seen an influx of skilled laborers. Balor Othan has opened a clinic, Ailis Wir has opened a smithy, and clamor can he heard from Alor Fi’Ceru’s alchemical lab. All those that need space for their labors or the backing of a larger community are urged to travel to Verna’ker.

Div’Cruan
 The Div’Cruan has officially begun its training and organization at Verna’ker. All ‘ker that wish to serve their kinsfolk or train their martial skills are encouraged to join up.

The Sable Principality of Vira’ker

With Verna’ker established as a foothold of all Mal’ker kin, there shall hereby be a grand festival to celebrate! His Highness Prince Vulnir Syllar of the Sable Principality of Vira’ker invites all mali’ker, their allies, and all those that wish to partake in drinking, martial festivities, and various games. These glorious events shall display the strength of the Principality and bring general joy to those that attend. With established neutrality, all are invited and encouraged to have a day of festivities with those they may consider their enemy, though are asked to stay home if they wish for hostilities.

Drinking Contest

    The clan Uuthlini will be providing their famous brews. He who can go the longest and drink the most will be rewarded with a two-hundred mina prize and a headache. ((You will be rolling to see how well you do)).

Fashion Contest    
    Those that fancy themselves fancy can enter in a fashion contest. The winner will receive three-hundred minas and be offered a job should they want it.

One-on-one melee combat

Once the contest is finished, a grand melee will begin. Guests may sign up to partake in one-on-one melee combat in a tournament stay manner. The winner will receive a special blade and a pouch of five hundred minas. You must apply by sending bird to Verna’ker if you wish to partake. ((Fill out form below)

Team simulated warfare

Following the melee there will be a Grand two teamed battle to act as a simulated warfare. The winning team will have their names inscribed into the stones of the hold of Verna’ker. Those who wish to apply follow the same process as the melee. 

A Grand Hunt

To conclude the festivities, there will be a grand hunt in the desert. All are welcome to participate in this.

Aztran crept below the horizon and Luara’s gentle darkness began to seep into the sky. The cool evening air welcoming the onyx kin as they moved hither and thither among the encampment. The barren plateau now bloomed with life as fledgling clans worked in the dimming light spreading their homesteads and raising their keep. Aspirant Div’cruan piled the heads of bandits and beasts before their totem to the Moon Mother and their ancestral shrines. They gathered around their fires as the darkness fell, learning of elder times and boasting personal triumphs. Even the shaman of the uzg came to welcome their new neighbors among the sands, preaching the ways of the spirits to these new initiates. All had come into place for the ashen folk. High atop their peak they made their home, stone by stone end each day, the Sable Enclave grew, the onyx kin grew. As one.
