The Alurian Drinking Festival

The Seaside city of Ando Alur is announcing a contest of drinks and cheer.  All those within the realm are invited towards our beautiful city to partake in the celebrations. Where we hope to entice our guests with a fine selection of exotic alcoholic beverages. 

Contests and Prizes

The drinking festival will hold a number of different smaller events for those who attend, from the basics such as enjoyment of the spices that are to be served. Maybe to hold casual conversations between friends and newer faces. After all the festivities, we of course will end the night with a contest. The contest in question being whoever brews the most divine brew that one can imagine tasting. Wins a prize.

1st Place wins a massive 100 minas to spend wherever they like. Alongside free drinks at the tavern until the festival comes to an end and a kiss from the princess.

2nd Place wins a humble 50 minas alongside free drinks at the tavern until the festival comes to an end.

3rd place wins a 25 mina prize alongside free drinks at the tavern until the festival comes to an end.

Temp Stalls

The festival will also promote smaller brewers to venture to the beautiful city of Ando Alur, where they will find that they will be more than welcome to pay for a temporary stall for the duration of the whole elven day. This will merely cost a humble two minas per stand. Those who pay for a stall are not limited to only selling drinks.

The Sentinels of Ando Allur have been disorganized for far too long. They lack structure and training therefore they must be reworked and started anew.

Basic Ranks:

Recruit - This is the trial rank within the Sentinels. For a minimum one week trial period, the Recruit will have to complete three trials. One given by a Captain - This trial should be combat related and test the sword or magic skills the recruit has to offer. One given by the Quartermaster - This trial will have the recruit collect materials, usually iron or leather. The final trial will be given by the Lord Sentinel - They will task the recruit in a trial of the Lord Sentinels choosing. This trial is usually personalized based on what the recruit wishes to accomplish within the Sentinels.

Initiate  - The first official rank within the Sentinels. A ceremony will be had in honor of the Recruit passing into the Initiate phase upon completion of the three original trials. This rank is where the sentinel has the most opportunity to prove themself. They can increase their reputation within the Sentinels in various ways such as gate duty, patrols, or collecting materials. After the Initiate rank you are promoted into the Sentry position.

Sentry - This rank makes up a large portion of the Sentinels. To move on from this position you must prove yourself to be above and beyond the rest. If you prove yourself you will get to choose to become either a Scout or a Vanguard. 

Scout - Equal to the Vanguard rank. This is the final step before becoming an Officer. The Scout rank is for those who usually wear light armor and prefer to fight on horses. These Sentinels go above and beyond. They have proved themselves to be elite. If you earn enough reputation to promote once more you’ll end up becoming a Senior Scout. 

Vanguard - Equal to the Scout rank. This is the final step before becoming an Officer. The Vanguard rank is for those who usually wear heavy armor and fight on foot. These Sentinels go above and beyond. They have proved themselves to be elite. If you earn enough reputation to promote once more you’ll end up becoming a Senior Vanguard. 

Officer Ranks: 

Senior Scout - Low Ranking officer in the Sentinels. This rank is expected to host training and patrols. They may only do this with Scout members. May give Scouts only Reputation.

Senior Vanguard - Low Ranking officer in the Sentinels. This rank is expected to host training and patrols. They may only do this with Vanguard members. May give Vanguard only Reputation.

Captain - Keeps track of materials, gear, reputation and pay of the Sentinels. May give Sentinels Reputation. This rank is expected to task Sentinels of various ranks to collect materials weekly.

Quartermaster - Second to the Lord Sentinel. There can be multiple Quartermasters but the less the better. If the Lord Sentinel is not around, the Quartermasters will take over and make decisions on his or her behalf. They oversee all skirmishes and raids unless the Lord Sentinel wishes to do so. This rank is also expected to host training and patrols if the Senior Vanguards or Senior Scouts are not around to do so. May give Sentinels Reputation and promotions.

Lord Sentinel - Highest Rank within the Sentinels. Oversees all operations within the order and has final say on any decision relating to the Sentinels. The Lord Sentinel oversees all battles and only with his blessing should the Sentinels participate in any wars. May give Sentinels Reputation and Promotions.

Sentinel Reputation System

A system that will ensure that every Sentinel is properly rewarded and acknowledged for their hard work. A way of telling Officers which Sentinels are up for promotion or up for rewards.
 

Section I - Reputation Points

Sentinels will be awarded points for every action they do that benefits the Sentinels. Additional points can be given out if a Sentinel does something showing true honor, courage, or self-sacrifice.

Section III - Permissions

Only the Lord Sentinel, his Captains, and the Quartermaster may give out Reputation Points. This ensures that all points are given fairly. Therefore these ranks are exempt from the reputation system as they have proved themselves enough to be in their position. Senior Scouts and Senior Vanguard may increase their reputation by hosting patrols and training. They may also increase reputation the same way the other ranks do. To be promoted to Captain their Reputation will be taken into consideration.

Ando Alur. A state that raises questions and fear. Annoyance and love. All emotions, good or bad, are directed towards this place of mystery and magic. But, against all odds, through its highest and lowest points, such a state as Ando Alur remains.

This invitation is extended to all within this wonderous realm we call home. With this invitation, we welcome all to the gathering hosted by the Alurian council for those who call Ando Alur home, alongside those who honour us with their friendship. A New Age

Resurrected from the ashes of the fallen city, Ando Alur is entering a new era of prosperity. The mystic fog of the coastal city parts, revealing mass forests of pine as well as the flourishing buildings above. A small townscape emerges from the thick of the pine, led by the Triumvirate.

The Underground Shopping District

A new expansion: the underground Alurian shopping district is home to many stores, as well as the forge and a tax room, where the bank is held. Along with the lush flora covering the walls of the underground, one can fulfill many of their shopping desires below the surface of Ando Alur.

Yong Ping Embassy

Along with the rebuilt Ando Alur, the coastal city is beginning a treaty to the Jade State of Yong Ping through The Alurian-Jade Pact. Within this treaty, there is now a Yong Ping Embassy hidden within the trees. Sitting by the seaside, this embassy represents the treaty of peace between Ando Alur and Yong Ping.

Turning Tides

With the new installment of the coastal city of Ando Alur, there has been a revision of many daily aspects of life. There will be new changes to the law, the role of Sentinels, and other alterations to be determined. However, for now, Ando Alur's gates are now open!

1. Criminal Law

1.1. Concerning thievery

The Act of theft, the act of stealing what is not there for profit, through violence or intimidation or using force. 

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government.

The seriousness of the crime will determine the severity of the punishment, ranging from financial fines, imprisonment, loss of a hand, to beheading.

1.2. Concerning discrimination

The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the ground of race and sex. 

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government

The Offender that has been found guilty by it is subjected to disciplinary actions, which can be decided by the Court or Judge preceding the case.

1.3. Concerning slander

The act of attributing or falsely inputting words acts, or intentions to a person, to cause harm or damage his or her reputation.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government.

The penalty for this crime will be a certain time in jail established by the legal body, in addition to an economic fine.

1.4. Concerning forgery

The action of forging or producing a copy of a document, signature, banknote, or work of art in an unconstitutional manner, that is, not approved by the city government.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government.

The penalty for this crime will be to pay a certain amount of money established by the legal body in each case.

1.5. Concerning identity fraud

The intentional use of someone else's identity for personal gain or to avoid being recognized when you are a person in search and capture

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government

The penalty for this crime will be a certain time in jail established by the legal body, in addition to an economic fine.

1.6. Concerning vigilante groups

A member of a self-appointed group of citizens who undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government

The penalty for this crime will be a time in jail established by the legal body in addition to either a financial fine or having to enlist in the Sentinels.

1.7. Concerning accessories to a crime

A person who assists the commission of a crime, but who does not participate in the commission of a crime. 

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government

Any person who has been admitted to such action will be met with the same punishment as the Principal(the person who has committed the crime).

1.8. Concerning slavery

A condition where one being was owned by another. One where they are deprived of most of the rights ordinarily held by free people.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government 

Anyone who has been found and proven to have owned a slave or in a business of such will be punished by hanging.

1.9. Concerning banditry

The act of assaulting or robbing on roads or unpopulated places, generally being part of a gang.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government 

The culprit will be sentenced to death, but this sentence can be mitigated if he or she helps the Sentinels find the other members of his gang if he has one. In that case, he will only be sentenced to prison.

1.10. Concerning harassment

The act of aggressively pressuring or intimidating another person to get something from him or her.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government.

The penalties derived from this type of crime will be a financial fine and imprisonment.

1.11 Concerning assaulting

The act of attacking a person or entering a place to steal.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government.

The penalty for this crime will be given if any other crime is committed, that is if a crime of banditry or robbery is also exercised.

1.12. Concerning murder

The act of Killing someone with treachery, cruelty, or for a reward.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government.

If the suspect is found guilty, the penalty will be beheading. Subsequently, his severed head and nailed to a pike will be exposed.

1.13. Concerning kidnapping

Outpatient deprivation of liberty to a person or group of people, demanding, in exchange for their release, the fulfillment of some condition, such as the payment of a ransom.

If found suspect of this act, the accused will be tried by the court and judge or, failing that, by the city government.

The culprit will be sentenced to the maximum penalty, being able to choose the way he wants to die.
 

1. Rights and freedoms

2.1 Of fundamental rights and public freedoms

2.1.1. Equality before the law

Alurians are equal before the law, without any discrimination based on birth, race, sex, religion, opinion, or any other personal or social condition or circumstance.

2.1.2. Right to life

Everyone has the right to life and physical and moral integrity, without, in any case, being subjected to torture or inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. Except in cases where the maximum penalty is applied.

2.1.3. Ideological and religious freedom

The ideological and religious freedom of individuals and communities is guaranteed with no other limitation, in its manifestations, than is necessary for the maintenance of public order protected by law.

No one may be forced to testify about their ideology, religion, or beliefs

2.1.4. Right to personal liberty

Everyone has the right to liberty and security. No one can be deprived of his freedom, except with the observance of what is established in this article and the cases and the manner provided by law.

Every detained person must be informed immediately, and in an understandable way, of his rights and the reasons for his arrest, and cannot be forced to testify. 

2.1.5. Right to privacy. Inviolability of the home

The right to honour, personal and family privacy, and self-image are guaranteed.

The domicile is inviolable. No entry or registration may be made in it without the consent of the owner or judicial decision, except in the case of flagrant crime.

2.1.6. Freedom of residence and movement

The Alurians have the right to freely choose their residence and to circulate throughout the national territory. Likewise, they have the right to freely enter and leave Ando Alur under the terms established by law. This right may not be limited to political or ideological reasons.

2.1.7. Freedom of expression

The rights are recognized and protected:

• To freely express and disseminate thoughts, ideas, and opinions through words, writing, or any other means of reproduction.

• To the literary, artistic, scientific, and technical production and creation.

• To academic freedom.

The exercise of these rights cannot be restricted by any type of prior censorship.

2.2 Of the rights and duties of citizens

2.2.1. Tax system

All will contribute to sustaining public expenditures per their economic capacity through a fair tax system inspired by the principles of equality and progressivity that, in no case, will have confiscatory scope.

2.2.2. Marriage

The law will regulate the forms of marriage, the age and capacity to contract it, the rights and duties of the spouses, the causes of separation and dissolution, and their effects.

2.2.3. Right to property 

The right to private property and inheritance is recognized.

No one may be deprived of his property and rights except for a justified cause of public utility or social interest, through the corresponding compensation and under the provisions of the law.

2.2.4. Work, rights and duties

All Alurians have the duty to work and the right to work, to the free choice of profession or trade, to promotion through work, and to sufficient remuneration to satisfy their needs and those of their family, without in any case being able to discrimination based on sex or race.

3.1. Right to information

Every individual has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; This right includes not to be disturbed because of his opinions, to investigate and receive information and opinions, and to disseminate them without limitation of borders by any means of expression.

3.2. Right not to be discriminated

It is the right of all beings to be equal in dignity, to be treated with respect and consideration, and to participate on an equal basis in any area of economic, social, political, cultural, or civil life.

3.3. Right to be well treated

All beings have the right to be well treated within the limits of Ando Alur, being a crime the non-fulfillment of this right.

3.4 Right to complain

Right to complain directly before the city authorities and obtain comprehensive, timely, and adequate reparation of all the damages suffered, as well as to have access to the judicial or administrative authorities for the same purpose, in the terms of this law.

1. Foreign Government rights and duties

4.1 Right to the embassy

Each city or country on the continent of Almaris has the right to found an embassy within the limits of Ando Alur, becoming part of the territory of the other city.

This will only be possible if the other city agrees to receive an ambassador from Ando Alur and give him a space for the Alurian embassy.

4.2. Right to political asylum

Any person who is persecuted for their political or religious beliefs or because of their race and who is within the limits of Ando Alur can request political asylum even if they are not of this nationality.

4.3. Right to free movement

Everyone has the right to move freely and to choose their residence in the territory of a State. In addition, everyone has the right to leave any country, including their own, and to return to their country.

PREAMBLE:

This article serves as a formal pact agreement between Ando Alur and the Jade State of Yong Ping, hereafter referred to as the signatories.

Article 1 - Non-Aggression Pact

The nation of Yong Ping and the city of Ando Alur, shall enter into a non-aggression pact. The Signatories shall keep complete neutrality in any ongoing conflict between either Signatory or alliances that either have with other nations. In addition, this will also prohibit any economic or military aid to be provided during any ongoing conflicts. This shall not impede regular trade.

Article 2 - Commerce Pact

The Signatories shall enter into an agreement of Free Trade. Both Signatories will provide one tax-exempt stall within the bounds of the other’s city. The location shall be chosen by the respective Signatory. The goods sold within these stalls shall not be limited beyond the confines of the law. Any future trade specifically regarding this pact can be discussed in future agreements.

Article 3 - Embassy Pact

The Signatories shall provide a building that can act as an Embassy within the bounds of the city, however it must be within a safe location in said nation bounds. Ando Alur does not request a specific building within the reconstruction of Yong Ping, however we shall provide Yong Ping the opportunity to construct one as part of a new addition to Ando Alur. Both Signatories have the right to tax either signatory for the building rights.

Article 4 - Joint Military Exercises

The Signatories both agree to enter in a Joint Military Exercise Pact that will allow weekly skirmishes to take place between both Signatories. These skirmishes can take place within the lands of both Ando Alur and Yong Ping. This also means that both Signatories can compete in war games. 

Article 5 - Culture Expansion Pact

The Signatories shall both agree to enter in a Cultural Expansion Act that allows both parties the chance to experience the culture of either Signatory. This also means that whenever an event held by one Signatory takes place, the other Signatory is presented with an invitation to said event. In addition to this Pact, both Signatories agree to work together to provide more events between both settlements. 

Article 6 - Disaster Relief Pact

The Signatories both agree to enter into a Disaster Relief Pact. This pact ensures that during times of disaster within Ando Alur or Yong Ping, either Signatory will do their best to assist with materials to rebuild. This can also be in the form of a loan or donation to said Signatory to assist in the rebuild process. Donations may include food rations, shelter, or medical supplies. 

Article 7 - Renewal & Duration

The Signatories agree to enter The Jade Pact for a duration of eight years (2 IRL months). Once The Jade Pact enters its seventh year, the Signatories will come together and speak on renewing the treaty. In addition, this meeting can also take place to add or change articles within the treaty. 

If either of the Signatories are found to be in violation of any of the conditions; both parties will be required to meet to discuss the violation and decide upon what resolutions will follow

Tahlia left from the Vale right to the place she felt at peace, her home. As she reached the statue of Nemglan, she looked around to the burnt docks with no change in mind. Tears began to flow down her checks as a soft smile adorned her face.

"You have courage for calling me Tahlia. What is it you need?" 

She thought to herself, its for the balance, everything must be fixed. Now look what happened, he's gone and it's your fault you dumb Tahorran. Tahlia walked closer to the edge of the cliff looking across the lands for a long while, feeling the breeze rush through her clothing and buzzcut hair. Her gaze went down into the water as she sat for some time writing individual letter to those of her family and friends, before sending them all off with her birds Soren and Lae, each bird staying with one person once done their tasks. Her smile stayed on her face as she laid her elk bone stave upon the grass as it waited for its new owner to retrieve it.

"Let's name him Emandriel, I want to name him after the man I saw as a father. I'm sure Emanaf will love it!"

"I'm sure I will love him until my last breathe.."

The son she loved dearly would soon be left to be, to grow on his own. Though haven't been around for years, he won't know anyways. The day he was born was the day that brought her happiness, it made her ex-husband happy. That is all she cared about, her precious son Emandriel, never wanting to leave him with others, even give him over. The thought of her son made her tears come quicker and quicker as she rose to her feet.

"This may be the last time I will see you Melawen. I may not return after this."

"But why?"

As she stood at the edge of the cliff, she spoke a prayer to herself, to the mani she loved, Nemglan. She'd eye the water below with no going back now, taking a few steps back before jumping down into the water, something she loved to do. Allowing herself to sink in and think for a few moments left.

"I will hopefully.. I love you Scarlet, keep living life, and stay safe."

"You were on a council aiding a voidal city... We've gave you many warnings.. You are banished.."

"I have gave you many warnings on what is right and wrong, at this point you are fooling yourself."

"You tried assassinating the High Prince and myself, as well as a coup attempt."

"Stupid girl."

"Aspects, watch over my lliran and lari'onn, they deserve the world.."

That was the last thing the 'ame thought to herself, losing consciousness slowly before she laid in the place she grew, a soft smile stayed upon her face, closing her eyes slowly closing out the blinding sun. The Tahorran would be no more..

A Tournament Held in the Clouds

This event is set to take place in four elven days after these flyers are sent out. It will be held in the Principality of Ando Alur, the event will be held in the small arena to the left of the gate as soon as you enter. The tournament will be done in a bracket based system so please make sure to sign up early. Find a brown elf named Air in Ando Alur for more information.

During this Festival there be a large array of drinks mostly different variants of traditional Elven Liquors but there are other drinks available such as whiskey, medley, Mulled Wine, Spiked Tea, and Flavored Vodka (And much more). The Festival will consist well a array of temporary stalls that you can rent (10 mina) with possibly ♫karaoke♫ (OOC) well you celebrate and get drunk under the night sky. There will also be a drinking contest that cost 5 mina to enter, with a surprise prize.

"In Knowledge, Power"

 Penned by the Seat of Poetry
 Sinbad al-Bahaar

What Sinbad the Poet has learnt through query, is here set forth; for the brave deeds of men young, permit these words to be heard for years to come. 
Beneath the floating city of Ando Alur, of the year 36 SA, a battle was had for the liberty of its flying citizens. Little was known of the enemy of which they fought: eastward in Karinah’siol, the name denoted was Fishmen, and above the clouds in Ando Alur, they were called Shuul. Yet, to the wider inhabitants of Almaris, nothing was spoken about these creatures bar rumors. Nonetheless, the battle was one of great magnitude; and as it has been learned, a decisive victory for the Alurians. 

    1. At dawn of the 10th day of grand Harvest, the Lord Sentinel Harald Hansen, drew up his forces before the Alurian Lake. Two canons, an archer tower, and a ballista, laid siege to the unprepared Shuul, destroying their lake fort. Volleys of arrows, set loose by the Sillumar, at the call of Commander Valindra, finished off the Shuul guardsmen held within; concluding the first day of battle - and for a time, a brooding silence fell upon the soldiers. 
    2. Thereupon, small pockets of air began to rise from beneath the water's surface, followed by a humming resonance as an elite Fishmen vanguard drew forth to meet the Alurians. This Shuul unit constituted a large portion of their forces, and consisted of: twenty five Fishmen warriors, a twenty foot War-Crab, and mounted Fishmen riding atop it. 
    3. The Alurian cannons took aim at the crab, in a futile attempt to bring it down; with a melee ensuing between both forces. Meanwhile, with the cover of the resulting skirmish, a Dwarf of the name Dorimnur Goldhand, a member of the monster hunting group ‘The Eight’, brandished an explosive item, known simply as ‘The Rose’.  Not much can be said of this item besides its destructive capabilities; and with its use, the War-Crab was rendered immobile. 
     4. Soon after, the Shuul lines broke, resulting in the encirclement of their forces. 
     5. The accounts thenceforth, remain ambiguous; perhaps due to the chaos of battle. Yet, what can be said with certainty was the complete defeat of the Shuul, culminating with a three-pronged attack by: the Lord Sentinel, Edvard Kervallen, and an atronach belonging to Lady Chiyo, that brought down the giant crab.

The Conclave of Eû-Ras

To the far Eastern vales of the Almarisian continent, beyond the wave-lapped sands of the western shores, there lies an ivory spire — one which claws to the very heavens in hopes to reach the gods. This divine citadel, a final refuge of the noble arcane, stood to embody the hopes of descendant-kind to reach the seat of the gods. Many come here seeking enlightenment, whether they be some roaming scholar, weary knight, or cloistered monk, each taking solace in the gleaming light of Eû-ras. 

Purpose

In ages past there were but many assemblies and councils of scholars and magi, uniting under single banners to pool their knowledge and scry the utmost potential for wisdom from their own arts. Alas, many failed to apply them in any prudent manner, instead growing fat and arrogant upon their arts as they watched the world around them wane. Such is the mission for which the Spire of Eû-Ras was wrought — to preserve the wisdom of the ancient magi and apply it to the defense of the modern realm. 

Philosophy

The mission of Eû-Ras, as aforementioned, is the collection and preservation of magical wisdom, as well as its application. Primarily, those of Eû-Ras seek to preserve the Marble City of Ando Alur, applying their various sorceries and artificeries as a means of defense for those who would seek refuge within its white walls. Make no mistake, however, for the practice of any magic or art is not an idle one, and those who take up the path of Eû-Ras must fully follow through with her own simple tenets.

• i. The Void is both fickle and formidable, an ally and an enemy. Its arts should not be used nonchalantly and only when truly in need to preserve the Conclave.
• ii. We preserve knowledge, not give it away. Those who know our secrets would do well not to share them with the outside world, lest all mystery be moot.
• iii. Blood should not be spilt through magic if avoidable. A man who is not a sorcerer should only die by the sword, not by some conjured spell.
  • iiiA. Two magi who will themselves to a duel may consign to use spells, though a magi should not use magic upon a non-magi to cause harm if possible.  
• iv. Sorceries which consign one’s soul to another being should be shunned, if not outright persecuted, for they jeopardize our independence as descendantkind.
• v. In line with the fourth tenet: the spirit is to be preserved above all else. Do not deign to let any art or artificery taint one’s own spirit for power.

Hierarchy

The Conclave of Eû-Ras partakes of a certain social structure that dictates power and influence within the guild. Though all members are seen as partakers of knowledge, those who have proved themselves to be exceptionally skilled in the Arcane arts may be privy to higher secrets and activities of the guild. In order to rise within the Conclave, one must have proven themselves to be worthy of both admiration and be a capable scholar within the eyes of the High Praetor and the Maralier. 

High Praetor — The Archmage and leader of the Conclave, charged with overseeing all of its projects and the occasional instruction of newer members. 

Maralier — Powerful and scholarly mages who have proven themselves as valuable members of the Conclave and thus are charged with managing projects and members.

Adherent — A fully-fledged member of the Conclave who is valued for their contribution of knowledge and their scholarly pursuits. They typically fulfill projects of the Conclave.

Aspirant — One who seeks admission into the Conclave but has not yet been validated or proven their worth to the assembly. Typically taken under the wing of an Adherent.

Admission

Those who partake of our council must offer some knowledge by which they may be admitted into the Guild, for none may receive without first giving. Scripts, tomes, and antique artificeries may all be fitting for those seeking entry, though more potent relics and devices may allow for greater favor. The next step to seeking admission is to achieve the approval of three guild members, who must each write a letter recommending oneself to the guild. Such should be personal and describe your own talents, affinities, and what would make you fit to partake of the light of Eû-Ras. 

Those accepted will partake of many quests, expeditions, and other missions, as well as the delving of rites and liturgies of arcane nature. However, know that those who fall stagnant in the pursuit of knowledge shall be cast out like dust under one’s feet, for we do not harbor those who idly slumber upon begotten wisdom.

A Princes Missive From the Clouds; The First Storm

[!] A missive penned upon papyrus and pinned around the Alurian city and beyond. [!]

A City Amongst the Clouds

Greetings denizens of Aluria, and those which happen to read this missive. It is with great humility that I announce our city has ascended into the skies of Almaris. Through the work of the Conclave of EÛ’RAS the city has been made able to sustainably drift amongst the clouds and stars. To a ‘ker like myself who once dedicated their life to the appeasement of the spirit Luara, to be able to sit amongst her stars and bask in her light is a feeling unmatched by all else. I encourage those interested in learning more, or scholars of the arcane to seek entry into the Conclave so that you may learn their celestial secrets. They are located in the Spire of Eu’Ras, you will find it hard to miss upon entry into the city with its heavenly light lapping at the skies.

The Grand Alurian Library

Working alongside our friends in the Silver City, we have developed a large library from donations from almost every citizen in Ando Alur. Those looking to advance their studies will find a great refuge in the library. Furthermore, those wanting to get involved are encouraged to do so, the library always is seeking scribes and writers to help fill the little empty space there is.

    Second Masquerade of Ando Alur

The number of those who can say they’ve attended a gala in the skies is perhaps limited to the ancient scholars of Arcadia and well, drunkards whom daemons play evil tricks upon. However, if you do wish to have an experience to tell tales of to your kin and theirs then attend the second masquerade gala of Ando Alur.  The theme is celestial, for what better a theme than a city between land and sky.

Due to my focus in the pursuit of scholarly and arcane matters, our martial prowess has gone rather undeveloped. However, under the new leadership it has begun to prosper and grow once more. Those interested in helping defend the city from threat, be it the creatures of the depths below, or banditry, are encouraged to apply. Sentinels having proven themselves receive powerful arcane weapons or armours.

Creatures of the Depths

Whilst the rupture from the ground below was a feat indeed, it would appear it has emboldened the fishmen which had plagued our caverns. They have established crude fortifications in their watery domain and have attempted to seize multiple denizens from reaching their homes above. To these dwellers we offer them only a swift death such that we may study their figures and find from where they come. Those interested in helping be it in their study or in the melee are encouraged to reach out to the Sentinels.

Night stretched across the Almarisian horizon, the moon slowly setting in the far to the east, yet still reflecting its pale light across the dark heavens. Amidst the chirp of the birds and the buzz of crickets in the waning night, what seemed as a great and magnificent beam of pale, ivory light jetted upwards from darkness. Such a spectacle was so bright that even the stars were made pale in comparison, their diamond gleam relinquishing in awe of this great sign. Then, the pillar of light vanished, and the realm was silent for but another brief moment, granted only a fleeting respite from the greatness that was to occur.

And then it happened: a great quake which shook across the realm; and those of Almaris felt the earth cry out. Stone was torn from stone, and the split of the earth rang out across the heavens, disrupting the chorus of the early morn whilst the moon overlooked this curious sight. Then, another crack was heard, like that of a whip, yet more thunderous and bold than any charioteer of man could possibly muster. Those attuned to nature heard her weep, and men who dabbled in the arcane suddenly felt the Veil grow thin once more.

The rumble stopped, and all was still and silent. Suddenly, from the East, the night was banished; dawn breaking across the shattered stone. For now, high, high above the earth, rose a splendid and great city, gleaming in the morning light brightly as the sun and moon themselves as it rose to the heavens above, where it hovered like a cloud.

And so, henceforth, those who looked to the Eastern skies, bearing their gaze towards the pale, would find the ivory bastion of Ando Alur locked up above. All who looked upon it were made witness to its beauty and splendor, for with the light of its wisdom, that blessed bastion hoped to fully dispel the darkness of ignorance forevermore.

    The Inquisitors were established in the Year 26 of the Second Age, once the idea of Ando Alur had become more than just that, an idea. They were created on the basis of being tasked with the protection of the library, the relics she holds and the denizens of the Marble City. As such, the Prince and his advisors began to seek someone who could hold such a position and found the Elf they believed could fulfill this duty. 

     Upon such they got to work, the Council quickly formulating blueprints for the barracks to house the force, while the Lord Inquisitor began to send letters to individuals he believed could uphold those tasks that were bestowed upon them. With a handful of people in tow, he began work structuring the military. It would remain small for now, perhaps being expanded upon in the future when the roster had grown to a more prominent size.

Lord Inquisitor - The Lord of the Inquisitors of Ando Alur. He or she is the commander of the entirety of the forces of Ando Alur, charged with working alongside the other groups in the city to ensure the libraries and relics are kept safe, as well as assisting in the plotting and preparing of missions to secure new relics in the land of Almaris. This position is also one that ensures the Inquisitors are operating smoothly, as well as keeping records of going ons so that reports and updates may be provided to the Prince’s Council.

High Warden - These are the right and left hands of the Lord Inquisitor. Men or women who have dedicated much of their life to the Inquisitorial cause, they represent all of the values and traits that should be had by those who wish to join the Inquisitors of Ando Alur. They are dutiful and efficient in their actions, as well as wise and experienced which is why they hold the position that they do.

Sentry - The rank of all initiates into the Inquisitors of Ando Alur. Soldiers remain in this rank until recommended for promotion by a High Warden. For the time being, this is the only enlisted rank until the military grows and expands. Acting as the rank and file soldier of Ando Alur, though often brought on missions to seek relics of days past and precious tomes of history. These men have sworn to protect Ando Alur, it's citizens as well as the library and all of the knowledge contained in it.

Upon the denizens of Ando Alur’s marble city;
In conjecture of establishment upon Ando Alur’s grounds, the time has arisen for a Gala. The settlement of the Mali and other residents has proven a grand time for celebration, and in collaboration with the prosperous beginnings, citizens are asked to attend a ball of Sun & Moon. The place of correspondence will be held in the Court room of Ando Alur. 

SUN

Sun shall represent the harvested good that has sprouted from the eased population. The sun is an offering of new beginnings, new knowledge, and a mindful tact in this fair process. 

MOON

Moon shall represent a long-lasting eternity of our Marble walls. As we prosper, we grow in strength through mind and through the physical. Both are defenders of Ando Alur, and both shall be noticed and recognized in this celebration. 

THEME & DRESS CODE

The Gala’s theme is as the name suggests - Sun & Moon. This means that attendees are asked to dress in accordance to the theme. Some examples include: Stars, Whites and Golds, Blues and Yellows, and Feathers. Although the dress code is highly requested, it is not mandatory.

Pile of rubble discovered by Marb and Zeyphr

The City of Marble was home to many mysteries, one of which was about to be discovered. Marb and Zeyphr while exploring the newly founded city, discovered a large pile of rubble that seemed to be blocking a path of some sort…

“Hmmm… Is something behind?” Marb asked as he inspected the wall, removing a rusty sword from his scabbard as onlookers gave him worried looks. 

Zephyr promptly nodded “Perhaps one should take a look”

Marb would smash the rusty sword off of the marble rubble, the large noise vibrating across the city.

Thalen Syllar approached the duo, looking on as well as Marb continued to try his sword against the side of the marble wall. “Perhaps a dig team might be better? I could have them here rather quickly to see what is behind.”

A Favour for a Favour

4th of the Snow's Maiden, Y28 of the Second Age

   The banditry clamored around the soft glow of their fires, their jubilance filling the nearby woods. The wind whipped up leaves and other debris in the dark around the camp.

   “Oh please, please don't! Here this is all I have, just please let me go!” One mocked, much to the mirth of his comrades as he attempted to wipe the crimson off his blade.
    

   “Alfred, tell that story of yours about that shite colored pointy eared prick, the one with the glass on his face.”

   The brawny and scarred man set down his mug with a smirk.
     

   “Hannibal, Edgar and me was collectin’ tolls on the road and was ‘bout to come back to camp but this limpin’ creature comes on down the road.” Alfred rose, feigning a limp with a chuckle.
    

   “Thing lacked all color, like one them Farfolk traders but darker. So we holler out to the arse that we’s collecting tolls for the road. The darkie is wobblin’ his way towards us with that there cane,” he pointed to a nearby piece of warped wood sitting in the mud.
    

   “And this darkie is old; has more wrinkles than yer mother, Igor. Anyways he tells us he has nothin’ but some stones and paper, so Edgar goes to pat him down and is knocked right on his back. The elf is wielding the cane like he's some mercenary or something, so Hannibal and me decide his life is a worthy toll. Since Edgar’s rolling about on the ground like a child, I grab my sword while Hannibal goes for his bow.”
    

   He coughed.
    

   “The old man’s cane is made of somethin’ very strong and won't break no matter ‘ow many times I swing. When Hannibal finally gets his head out his arse and nocks an arrow he misses by a horse and a half. Soon enough though I have him on his back leg and am about to send him below when Hannibal decides to be a half decent shot and steal my loot.”
    

   “Oi, he nearly had you on yer arse Alfred. The fock ye mean?” A ragged haired man started from the opposite side of the fire.
    

   “Oh shut up, Hannibal. Ye stole that kill and y--” the brute’s response was cut short as an arrowhead protruded from his neck. The men around the fire stood up quickly, reaching for their swords in dismay.
    

   “We’re under atta--!” the shout was drowned out by a large “POP!” as light exploded in the darkness, a beam of fire throwing the remnants of Hannibal onto a nearby tent and setting both alight.
    

   From the darkness of the treeline came figures garbed in silver armour, shimmering in the moonlight that dripped through the canopy. They cut down those that fought, their black steel blades sending bodies to the ground with a thud.
    

   Edgar ran, his feet felt like they were bleeding, his rotund figure making slow progress in the night. He tripped. He tried to rise but his foot was caught on something, he reached down to try and free himself and as he felt the dirt shifting a moment of pure terror seized his body as the ground began to swallow his leg.
    

   “Help!” he shouted, desperate for death to a blade rather than suffocation. From the darkness stepped out a tall figure dressed in dark robes, muttering words softly under their breath. Then another and another. The frames paused a few meters from Edgar as now only his neck protruded from the ground. The panicked bandit caught only the glint of a dagger as it was passed to the robed mali’ker.
     

   The figure bent down, revealing a scarred blue-black face with blackened hair beneath their hood.
     

   “Please! I have money! I have treasure! Just let me go!”
    

   The Elf moved his free hand to Edgars lips, holding one finger in front of his mouth to quiet him. The shaman spoke in a deep voice, a foreign language that sent a tremble to Edgar’s core.
    

    “A favour for a favour,” spoke the Mali’ker.
    

    All went black for Edgar as the red plasma flowed down his neck, watering the ground below.
    

    The figures turned, and with a militaristic gait, strode back into the darkness of the woods.

The Marble City

12th of the Deep Cold, Y27 Second Age

When a group of Elves began their search for knowledge on Almaris, their search brought them to Haelun’or, the great nation of the Mali’thill. Depicted in books and illustrations as the home of the most extensive collection of knowledge on the continent, it was decided that upon the mainland this band of Elves would settle their city, on land so generously gifted to them by the Elves of the Silver City.  They were an open group willing to take in anyone and everything available to help them learn of Almaris and realms of times bygone. Through their time traveling the road, seeking a home, the group has come upon many mages and scholars willing to help them in their adventures. Seeking out ancient and hidden treasures and knowledge, founding the ideals of Ando Alur, keeping knowledge organized and held in a secure and safe place so as not to be lost to the test of time. They do this by keeping an extensive record in their libraries and vaults in the citadel of Ando Alur. Eventually, these people were spoken of, their population growing enough to a point where they could place a Prince in charge of the city. To this day, he leads them in their mission.
