As the people of Corbenic continue to settle down in the village, the council and committee of representatives have worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone has a role to play and that the community thrives.

One of the first tasks undertaken by the council was to identify the skills and talents of the villagers. This allowed them to set up occupations and market stalls to cater to the needs of the community. There are several market stalls where citizens can purchase food, clothing, and other essential items. Anyone is able to purchase a stall from our stewards.

The village has a thriving agriculture industry, with many farmers growing crops such as wheat, corn, and vegetables. The village also has several skilled artisans, including blacksmiths, carpenters, and other laborers, who create beautiful and functional items for the community. The artisans sell their wares at the village market, providing a much-needed source of income for themselves and their families. 

In addition to farming and artisanal work, there are other occupations available for villagers. There are doctors who provide healthcare services, adults teaching the young children defensive skills, and laborer workers who help build new homes and infrastructure. 

As well as the natural beauty and community spirit of Corbenic, there are also plenty of amenities and services available to residents. The village’s council and representatives host a range of activities and events throughout the year. There are also several local businesses, including a post office, a general store, and a tavern!

A few occupations available are…

Stewards - Stewards are the people who assist residents buy houses! It is a very simple job as you basically show people around the housing and sell them! 

Bartenders - Bartenders work in the Dantory’s Tavern & Stage. They serve drinks to everyone of the appropriate age while also keeping the tavern in check! No one is fighting in their tavern!

Curators - The event team are the people who arrange and organize events for the player-base. The events could be as simple as tea parties or as large as making a circus! These people would work closely with members of the Committee of Representatives. 

Writers - Writers of Corbenic are in charge of writing the newspaper while also offering their skills to help anyone with their documents. Constantly posting missives of current events in the town, or just missives in general will help with informing everyone with everything! Writers can be novice, average, or very skilled! All levels wanted.

Farmers - Farmers will assist the Header Farmer in gathering wheat, carrots, etc from the fields and replanting the seeds. They will also assist in butchering and cooking all assortments of meats.

Blacksmith - Blacksmiths will be in charge of producing finely crafted weapons, armor, and anything else to contribute to the growth of Corbenic.

Medics/Doctors - Inexperienced players will begin as medical students, learning the lore of herbs and ways to perform surgeries. This job expands the mind and provides a different outlook on life.

Laborers - Laborers are people who work as miners, lumberjack, and builders. They are essential to the town’s survival as the city cannot grow without their expertise and material gathering. 

Guards - The basic level of the village’s militia, responsible for patrol and defense of the village.

Housing and Stalls

The pricing of houses and stalls in Corbenic are made to be affordable for all as prices can range from five to sixty mina. This means that anyone who is interested in living in a peaceful, rural community can now own their own home or business at a fraction of the cost of living in a big nation.

The Village of Corbenic has been completed, and at long last, the refugees of Petra have found home. Rejoice!

In celebration of our humble new beginnings, the Committee of Representatives announces a celebration to commemorate those who were lost and those who were found in our budding new generation. 

We will begin the celebration with a tournament by melee to identify who will be crowned the Champion of Corbenic. 

Following the melee, there will be a drinking tournament and celebration held in the town. All merchants who seek to sell their wares will be offered a stand free of charge.

A NEW BEGINNING

To the people of Corbenic,

Since the death of our late Archduke Constanz, there has been much confusion in regards to our future as a people, exiled to the wilderness from a country we once held so dear. All of us, young and old, have endured trials and tribulations that many of us thought were consigned to the histories. Much was lost, and so we have been forced to wander for years as refugees and vagrants in foreign lands.

But alas, with every ending comes a new beginning. In Corbenic we stand, and though there is still much for us to do, we now possess a foothold in which we can rebuild. Our reformed Council and the newly formed Committee of Representatives shall work tirelessly to ensure that this opportunity does not go to waste. To ensure that our cherished traditions of chivalry persevere and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Council of Corbenic

Reformed from the Commonwealth’s apparatus and composed of members of the former government, the Round Table shall henceforth operate as the Council of Corbenic. The council members sit as equals from one to another, with no one having more say than the next. As of now, the specific purview in which these council members operate shall be subject to change in the foreseeable future.

Committee of Representatives

The lower governing body of Corbenic is the Committee of Representatives. Established in wake of the Petran exodus, the Committee is composed of individuals drawn from the common populace, recognised for their leadership qualities and ability to raise morale in periods of strife. In addition to organising seasonal festivities and cultural gatherings, the Representatives act as liaisons between the everyday citizens of Corbenic and the Council, presenting proposals on domestic policy and the wishes of the populace.

Article I - Vassalage & Protectate
 

The people of Corbenic shall enter into a vassalage agreement under the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, loyal to the Grand King.

Article II - Land
 

The people of Corbenic shall be granted lands in the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, north of Urguani lands near Eastfleet, the settlement shall be named the village of Corbenic. 

Article III - Taxes
 

The people of Corbenic shall pay 1000 mina down payment for the land itself, and will pay a total of 100 mina tax per year to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan to retain said land. The village of Corbenic reserves the right to levy its own taxes upon its people.

Article IV - Law
 

Within their own borders and over their own people, the village of  Corbenic shall be allowed to dictate their own laws, as well as establish their own procedure for trying and convicting criminals, so long as these laws and procedures do not conflict with the established Codex of Civil Laws of the Grand-Kingdom of Urguan. Though the civil laws of Urguan have priority.

Article V - Military and Protection
 

The village of Corbenic agreed to supply the Grand Kingdom of Urguan’s Military with auxiliaries, at the discretion of the relevant authority. Additionally, due to the relocation of the Ireheart clans fortress from the west to the northern border of Urguan. The village of Corbenic shall be overseen and protected by the Clan Ireheart.

Article VI - Oath
 

The village of Corbenic shall swear oaths of loyalty to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and its Grand-King, to be renewed upon the ascension of a new Grand-King. 

Article VII - Renegotiation
 

The contract between the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and people of Corbenic will be reopened to negotiation in seven years time.
