    • A short summary of both Hou-Zi religions and which one your character follows, it can be one, both, or none (2-3 sentences).
      • Shenjiao is the worship of the immortal Godking, Hou-Shen, and his three sons (Hou-Wang [earth] , Hou-Xiao [water], and Hou-Da [wind]) and was worshiped as a living god during the Golden Age. Hua-Jiao is the path to enlightenment from understanding suffering and has a set of tenants, the four truths and the eightfold path, to follow to attain enlightenment. My character follow the Eightfold Way because of her mother and her teachings since childhood to be kind, thoughtful, and live to cause less suffering in the world.
    • A short summary of Hou-zi history (3-4 sentences)
      • The Hou-Zi was once a species of monkeys but was uplifted by the Daemon Metzli and stated that the Hou-zi must always obey her will to keep their prosperity.  Hou-zi began their conquest of ancient Axios against their elven rivals in the island region of Asul; Hou-Shen commanded the battles and fell Asul’onn, which led to the Hou-Zi expanding their ever-growing territory. However, in the second return of their God-king, the Hou-Zi fought on multiple fronts against the high elves, the wood elves, and the dark elves; this caused them to have a common enemy and instead of being weakened by the infighting, the Mali’aheral (high elves), Mali’ker (dark elves), and Mali’ame (wood elves) were able to turn the tide against the Hou-Zi. After, their civilization started to fracture, divided by civil wars and power hunger, as well as being afflicted by poison, it was assumed that the Hou-Zi would never rise to their glory once more.
    • A description of your Sub-race’s appearance and culture (2-3 sentences)
      • My character’s race would be the Laobai-Zhu, or the common people and are most notable in there roles as the merchants, fishermen, and farmers. Their height ranging from 4’ 5” – 6’, weighing 100 lbs – 250 lbs, usually having various shades of brown fur, and attaining a lifespan of 80-150 years. The Laobai-Zhu are followers of Hua-Jian and are somewhat resentful of the ruling class so they believe more strongly in the Eightfold Way to attain Enlightenment.
      • The Fei-Zhu (Noble caste) have beautiful multicolored fur and served as politician, courtiers, ministers, and higher class positions. Their height ranges from 5’5 ft – 6’5 ft, weighs around 100-200 lbs, fur color can be anything, and their average lifespan goes from 250 – 300 years. Most Fei-Zhu are devout to the Shenjiao way of life, and place more importance on the arts, literature, skill, and mind. They also create ornate objects and fine weapons for use.
      • The Hei-Zhu (warrior caste) are massive, physically strong, and loyal warriors. They both worship the Eightfold path of Hua-Jian and emphasize on worshiping Hou-da’s philosophy of attaining perfection in mind and in body. Their height ranges from 6’0 ft – 7’5 ft, can weigh from 200-500 lbs, have fur color of Black or varying shades of grey, and have a lifespan of 150-200 years.
