How do you wish to work for the wiki?

Updating and fleshing out pages on the wiki, and promoting connectivity between pages in a more clear flow, for ease of access from interested people to information relevant to the page.

Have you worked on the Lord of the Craft Wiki, or any wiki before?

I've never worked on LotC wikis, but I've worked on wikis around SS13.

Which lore are you most familiar with?

I am admittedly still learning my way around the lore of LotC, which I struggled with at first trying to leap into with the server because of the state of certain parts of the wiki. As I noticed there was much, more in-detail descriptions of elements of humanity, and I think I can help the wiki better reflect summaries of these elements as well as properly reference/link them for people who want to look into things with more depth.

Please provide an example of a wiki page you are not satisfied with and list aspects that could be improved

History is cool and good. However, just dumping a bunch of text, with no attempt at trying to dissect into categories, or even boxes in the page k i l l s readability, as well as desire to actually sit there and do it. There’s also painfully little on the actual religion part, which makes it very hard to actually work it into a character in my eyes.

Again, huge face slapping blocks of text. It seems to occur frequently enough I’m not going to link every example that irks me.

Another Religion page, again lacking in the concrete aspects of the religion (that are thankfully noted on the forums, so easy enough to rectify)

Readability was, and is, an important part to me in wiki layouts, your average player is not gonna want to sit there and read through five paragraphs when they do nothing but blot out their screen with twenty names they’ve no weight to attach to.

Please provide an example of a wiki page you see as a model example and list your reasoning

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=The_Brathmordakin

Not a flawless page but it very clearly has breaks in the page, make it much less likely for your eyes to just gloss over it, and explains aspects of it pretty well.

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Wood_Elves

Explains pretty well how they’re dirty tree-huggers effectively enough, has a big drop down at the bottom for lore-nerds to read in all of that goodness. Very good, very nice, and very cool.

    Turbo Quoit -

Turbo Quoit is an old sport to this part of the galaxy, originating back in the 2370s, started mostly by bored spacers without much better to do, which quickly gained popularity throughout Sol Alliance and the Frontier. Its original concept was incredibly similar to that of traditional quoit, which involved throwing rings or disks onto pegs, but usually done in low to zero-g environments, with a moving target. As the sport caught on additional elements were introduced, such as two opposing teams trying to defend their own pegs while scoring on the other team's. Before long holo-devices were introduced, and with it the goal of taking out enemy players from a round and scoring points for a team, by hitting them with the disc, without causing lasting harm from a generally high-speed disc slamming into them.
In its current form today, it has still maintained a high popularity throughout Sol Alliance, and even Tau Ceti. Arenas for Turbo Quoit matches can range from a typical holodeck to multi-level arenas, in specifically built stations (as gravity manipulation tends to be less of an issue with the lack of gravity). The game has a firm place in the minds of most humans throughout space, and corporations were quick to capitalize on this. Entire leagues were set up in only a few years, broadcasting to multiple systems and frequently selling out entire station's worth of seating for the big games, which were also laden with advertisements for various corporation's products in the sport's notorious down time between matches. Though injuries from direct contact in the sport are rare, it still proves to be fatiguing for most players, especially in the grander games.

Short bit of lore I wrote for a SS13 wiki, to try and represent my typical writing style when given a bit more of a leash.
