HELENA UNDER FIRE! THE CARRINGTONS BRING CATACLYSM!

    [Artist’s interpretation of the event]

My dear brothers and sisters, a shadow has been cast over the fair city of Helena. I, Heinrich the Hornet, bring before you a tale of mortal terror that I had long dreaded to write down. However write I must, for it is my duty as a Canonist to inform you that in their insatiable greed the Carringtons have brought forth a demon from the very depths of void. This accusation does not come lightly, for only after several weeks of prayer and consultation with the Canonist church I am all but certain of their involvement.

[Father Harald’s years of expertise proved invaluable during the investigation]

Not but a month ago a great evil had come to Helena, an abomination suddenly appearing above the town square. A phantasmal man wrapped in shadows soared above the rooftops, dousing the city in blazing fire and wicked magicks. His hatred was immeasurable and motives most sinister, his black magics an affront to the will of god himself! Neither man, woman, or child were spared from the wrath of this creature as he tore through the plaza.

I would not have believed such blasphemous magic existed had I not seen it with my own eyes. The city guard dueled with the foul being above the square, the shade flying upon unseen winds as he rained spells on those who dared to stand against him. The weapons of mortals were mere playthings to this phantom, sword and bow mere pinpricks. The voidspawn reportedly called itself Televor, and inflicted unimaginable acts of spite upon the innocent.

[Artist’s depiction of the fiend Televor!]

It was the brave Ser Alexander who finally dealt a decisive blow on top of the rooftop of the Carrington regional headquarters. Horrid tentacles burst forth from the fiend, with Televor quickly retaliating with a mortal strike of his own. The heroic Ser Alexander was cast off the rooftops, slamming onto the pavement below.

While I feared greatly for my life, duty demanded I rushed to the dying Ser Alexander’s aide. Witnessing my attempt at rescue brought newfound rage to the spectre, who pierced my very soul with a hex that defied description! As I felt my body begin to melt into a puddle of my own innards, I caught but a glimpse of what could only be described as a vision.

I witnessed the shadowy face of Green Carrington, murmuring words in an alien tongue. Standing beside him were figures hidden in blackness, their identities I could not determine. When I came to I found myself drenched in a pool of my own blood, my body now that of a hideous wretch.

Despite the brutality of the curse I continued to press on, knowing full well it was my holy duty to warn the faithful. I began an inquisition with the help of Father Harald and Cardinal Bram, our inquiry spanning several weeks. I fear Helena itself still holds a dreadful taint, the water turning foul in the aftermath of the dreadful affair. The dutiful Asami Ambrose has taken charge of reporting further supernatural occurrences.

[Haense stands against the unholy menace]

To all the good people of the Canonist faith, I beg of you, be wary in your dealings with the Carringtons less you fall victim to similar temptations. To the leaders of this land, I request that efforts are made to quash the foul witchcraft that nearly brought doom to our very doorstep.

    May god be with you,

    Heinrich the Hornet
