What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Paladinism

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Paladinism is a three slot deity magic. The magic is from Xan, and is aimed towards ridding the world of dark forces. As the magic stems from creation, the void is its weakness.

After a student is deemed worthy they are connected at a chancery by another paladin possessing a TA. Then as paladins progress they gain embers which are the basis of a paladins ability. The paladin calls upon these embers creating their spells. At each tier a paladin has a certain amount of embers, and a certain amount are used with each spell. Should a paladin reach half their total embers used, they will begin to feel exhausted. Spells cast beyond this cause agony, and once embers are entirely depleted the paladin is incredibly weak often falling unconscious.

As the soul of a newly connected knight is directly connected to Xan there are some mental effects. Initially the presence of Xan may feel more like scrutiny, but as a knight grows soon so does their familiarity with Xan's presence. This presence soon provides a mental sanctuary to the knight. It lets them know that even should they fall, their heroic actions are seen.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Firstly there are the base spells all paladins are capable of learning. These spells are comprised simply of mist, but several such as xannic fervour and xannic armaments, and lions roar vary depending on the paladins specialization.

There are two specializations a paladin may take upon reaching t3, one of which being the vindicator.  Vindicators were  the first archetype to come in the beginning. The abilities of a vindicator focus on guardianship and close combat. They are capable of creating shields among other things. At this level the mists are capable of transforming into light.

Wyrmstalkers are the other archetype, these being more geared to hunting darkspawn and enforcing order. The abilities are primarily focused on offense and range. This archetype has the ability to imbue their mists with lightning.

Sacred Artificery is able to be learned by all paladins starting at t3. Starting with blessings, these are often the weakest of all things a paladin is capable of creating. These simply require a paladin to say a prayer, then blessing an item of their choosing. These items effects are typically simple, such as providing a soothing effect. Despite this they still must be ST signed. Orisons are next. These must be created at a lightforge, which consists of an anvil imbued in holy runes and a lightstone. Orisons are then typically larger objects, and due to this they can hold both an Orison and a blessing. Orisons are spells, similar to voidal enchantments.  Not all spells a paladin is capable of are capable of becoming Orisons, their is a list in both the lore and the guide. Next is exaltations. These are great artifacts that a paladin is capable of creating at t5. These require a mart to create.

Purging is something else all paladins are capable of learning, should they be taught. This is closer to a ritual then a spell. Should someone cursed wish to be purged a paladin may do so, or should they be tied up. Depending on the curse multiple paladins are typically required.

Chanceries are holy sights for paladin. A tier five warden is capable of creating one should they be taught. These are locations which house a reliquary that has been infused with large amounts of xannic energy, and continuously radiate such.  Initially the chancery is only t1, and considered a shrine. Shrines can connect new paladins, as well as create blessings.  After three paladins have been connected they are considered temples. Then they can fuel lightforges, graduate students to t3 and their respective archetypes, heal a paladin at twice the normal speed, and weaken dark magic. Then after six paladins and the original warden gather together to perform a sacrifice a temple is upgraded to a sanctuary. When in the radius of a sanctuary a paladin is immediately entered into a state of connection, weaken dark magic in a larger radius, and also create exhalations.

Should a paladin reach t5 they are capable of becoming a warden. This is only possible after learning both connection and disconnection, then they are able to create a chancery. Disconnection must be taught by a fellow paladin who knows disconnection. Two wardens and the accompanying paladin are required to perform disconnection and it is to be done at a chancery. It requires at least four uninterrupted emotes, the two wardens must be within arms reach of the one being disconnected, and whether or not the paladin has broke any covenants is up to the wardens discretion.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

    Xannic armaments

Selwyns eyes come aglow in a golden mist visible beneath the visor of is helmet. The elf extending his hand for something that wasn't quite there.

[!]After a moment the golden mist pools into his palm, forming a sword. Selwyn now wielding a sword created entirely from a golden mist.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

[!] "You will be learning the first and perhaps one of the most important spells a paladin is capable. First call forth an ember."  Selwyn states, his eyes watching the student with great intrigue.

[!]The student takes a moment to steady himself. The newly attuned knight requiring a few deep breaths, though soon his eyes lit up with a gentle emerald mist.

[!] "Good!" Selwyn exclaims. "Now, as you have already seen me do now I would like to see you reach to your sword, and attempt to imbue it with an ember. It may feel foreign at first, but it will come with time."

[!]The student nods, reaching to his sword. Firmly holding the blade in his hands he takes several moments, though soon enough that same mist that came over his eyes begins to shimmer around the hilt of the blade. Soon enough the entire blade glistening in this emerald mist.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

Under the circumstances that I am working with the student and its unintentional, we will simply void the emote and touch up on some lore. Should the student powergame intentionally, I would see that ST are informed and have the student dropped. Should the student continue to unintentionally powergame they probably have no brain and will be dropped as well.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Life Evocation

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Life Evocation is when a mage with a stable enough voidal connection uses their mana to will a life, or perhaps a piece of life, into existence.  Due to the complexity of living things, a shorthand is used. Life evocationist must work meticulously to understand the workings of a creature before they can summon it, but to get every little detail correct would be impossible. Life evocationist have learned that they do not have to worry about the aesthetics of creatures, as that is too difficult to control. While this makes conjuration easier they are still unable to choose the aesthetic of the creature.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Terrestrial Conjuration: This is the most commonly seen ability used by conjurers. This consists of summoning animals. In order to summon a creature one must understand the creature's behavior, and even know how its insides operate as well. This requires the creature to be dissected before you are able to summon it. A creature must be summoned within two blocks of the conjurer.

Perennial Conjuration: This is very similar to the first subsection, but allows the conjurer to summon plants. Plants are able to be summoned just about anywhere you would expect a plant to be, such as soil.

Disjointed Conjuration: A conjurer summons only a piece of a creature. These can be a single organ or limb and can be launched. Once they are summoned though they can not be launched.

Chimeric Conjuration: This is the most complicated thing for a conjurer to learn. A conjurer learns to splice together certain pieces of a creature. This includes something like adding antlers to something that otherwise wouldn't have any. It requires an extra emote to do this.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

Eradus' eyes begin to flicker like starlight on water, his breath steadying. Threads of shadowy blue tendrils begin to extend forward from his outstretched palm.

[!]The cerulean blue aura continues to flow from his outstretched palm, cascading like liquid silk as it pools and shimmers in a suspended dance just before him.

Eradus makes a deliberate gesture, the azure tendrils beginning to take on a form. Coalescing into the sinuous shape of a majestic wolf, its ephemeral figure is outlined by the play of iridescent light against the darkness.

Eradus' focus intensifies, the aura seeping into the wolf's spectral outline. With each passing heartbeat, the wolf's features sharpen. The creature finally takes life.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Eradus' eyes narrow to the student before him. With a serene demeanor he begins the dance of instruction. "First, like with all things, you must establish your connection with the void."

The student nods, doing as Eradus asked.

Eradus smiles, "Now remember how hard we worked to memorize every detail of that cat, inside and out. I want you to recreate it in your head, bringing your mana together in the spot you want it, then begin to bring it to life. Pulling it from the void."

    The student does as asked.

[!]With a measured nod, Eradus watched. His eyes glittered with quiet approval. "Remember we do not have to worry about the aesthetic of the creature." He adds, quietly so as not to disturb his student.

    The student continues.

Eradus offers his student a polite applause, clapping slowly. "I can tell you have been practicing. You have made great progress but I expect you to continue with such." He states, concluding the brief lesson.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

If this is done under my supervision I may simply see if the emote can be voided, and we simply try again. If the student continues to powergame I would inform an ST, most likely resulting in dropping the student.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Transfiguration

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Transfiguration is the art of using ones mana in a far different way then what is traditionally required out of the other voidal magics. The transfigurationist uses mana in order to feel and discover properties of an item, permanently alter a physical property, enchant a voidal spell upon the item, or using mana to dismantle a spell which someone else has cast.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Voidal feeling. A mage releases ones mana into an inanimate object, something non-living, and slowly chips away at it. The transfigurationist getting to know the properties of an object as the mana stream returns to the mage. Larger and more complex items will require more time. A master transfigurationist will be capable of discovering an objects durability, natural color, freezing melting and boiling point, average temperature and chemical properties, such as flammability volatility and toxicity of an object. A transfigurationist may feel the signs and symbols of an alchemical regent if they possess a fa in alchemy, and they are able to feel the properties of voidal enchants such as how many uses they have left. This does not extend to other magics however, only applying to voidal magic.

Transmutation.  This is closely related to voidal feeling, but as a transfigurationist makes progress they will find themselves not only able to discover properties of an object, but change them as well. The mage extends there own mana into an object, altering the mana which already lay within.  A master at transfiguration will find themselves capable of altering an objects shape, temperature, position, color, density. They would also be capable of fusion and fission. Magelight also falls under transmutation, allowing one to summon a light for the simple purpose of being able to see or even use like a flashbang.

Enchanting is the art of imbedding a voidal spell into an object. The mage must pour mana into the object, as no spell can be cast without such. The mage must also imbue the entire process of creating the specific spell they wish to enchant into the object. If the enchanter wishes to enchant a spell into an object which they themselves do now know they can employ a process known as co-enchanting. While the enchanter does all the work on the object, it is the one assisting who creates the actual spell the object acquires.

Abjuration. The process of abjuration consists of the process of creating a ward, and abjuring a spell. If a transfigurationist knows a voidal magic, they also learn to undo it. Abjuration is the process of creating a projectile of sorts which will undo a spell upon impact.  The mana cost of the abjured spell is equal to the mana it cost the one abjuring it.  A ward is similar, though it creates a barrier which will remain in front of you. A mage may not cast something else, while holding a ward.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

    Voidal Feeling

Eradus gently closes his eyes. A hand extending in the direction of the aurum ring which lay on the table in front of him. A blue aura flowing down his arms like veins, making its way to the ring.

The blue aura pools around the object like a mist. The object almost lighting up some with the gentle blue mist. Eradus furrowed his brows. His eyes opening. His gaze directly upon the ring in front of him.

Eradus purses his lips. The mist which shrouded the ring begins to flow around and through the ring. More of the same blue mist flows down from Eradus, while that which flows around the ring begins to return.

The blue mist slowly began to fade from the ring. The object returning exactly as it was before. The mist which flowed between Eradus and the ring now returning, fading back into Eradus. The elf nods a few times, now understanding the enchantment placed upon the ring.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Eradus reaches into his coat procuring an smaller piece of silver. He places it gently on the table in front of him, then turning to his student. "Today I will teach you to alter this piece of silver into a ring. It may not be as elegant as you like on your first try. In a prior lesson we discovered the properties of this piece of silver through voidal feeling. Now it is time to alter such properties. First establish your connection." He states, looking to his student expectantly.

The student stretches an arm towards the piece of silver. His eyes becoming clouded with a faint green mist. The same green mist then extending from his fingertips to surround the piece of silver.

Eradus gives a small  nod of approval to the student. "Now you must allow your mana to flow through the object almost as if it was apart of you."

The student nods, his gaze then falling on the object in front of him. He squints. The green mist which would surround the object seeping deeply into the silver for several moments.

Eradus nods once more. "Now you are nearly finished. Now you must work the piece of silver into the shape you wish. You must almost be one with the object, willing it to move almost as you move your own limbs. This is a rather intimate process between you and the silver. The mind must be entirely focused on the task at  hand."

The student gently closes  his eyes. The silver stretching some as to be more round, as it did so it became thinner. The center of the silver began to push towards the outside, roughly making the shape of a ring. As a few moments passed the piece of silver would then ressemble the shape of a ring. The green mist still being deeply intertwined in the object fading away as the process is complete.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

First I would inform them of their mistake, and giving them the opportunity to void the emote.  However if the problem persists I will contact an st, dropping the student.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Fire Evocation

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Fire Evocation is where a voidal mage draws forth a flame from the void.  Once the flame is brought from the void it behaves just as normal flames do, putting off heat and such.  Once the flame is cast it is entirely out of the mages control.  It can spread from building to building, not returning to the void as say water or earth would.  A fire evocationist can only really create flames, entirely unable to cram them back into the void.  It can be used for things like cauterizing wounds, casting fireballs, conjuring smoke, and creating explosions.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

There are three sort of subsets of fire Evocation.  First there is combustion, which is giving a flame more solid properties.  If a fire evocationist does this the flame will be fore more volatile, and instead of simply burning something it will explode too.  Another subset is smoke.  A fire evocationist may summon smoke from the void, allowing them some cover or an escape.  Another thing a fire evocationist can do is make a summoned flame burn hotter, creating a blue flame.  A blue flame will be twice as hot as a regular flame, burning flesh and all sorts of other objects much more quickly.  However if a blue flame is to ignite something, the flames which spread are normal flames.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

Eradus furrows his brows, taking a deep breath in.  The mans eyes soon beginning to glow a somewhat bright blue.

Eradus raises his right arm, palm facing upwards.  The sleeves of his robes falling back some out of the way revealing a light blue mist flowing down his forearm into the palm of his hand.  His attention solely directed to the palm of his hand.

[!]The mist seems to gather at the palm of Eradus' hand.  An ember flickering to life in his palm, before quickly growing to the size of a baseball.  The flame roars to life, just hovering over his hand.

Eradus then extends his arm out forwards, the flame moving with his arm before being propelled forwards.  The small ball of flame flying forwards, aimed directly at the enemy.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Eradus takes a seat, gesturing to the seat across for him. "Have a seat." He states over to his student. "So, now that you can hold a connection to the void we may can actually start to do magic.  Here in a moment I want you to first connect to the void, then draw fourth your mana to a certain point just above your palm.  Then you will envision nothing but the small flames which sit atop a candle, hopefully then pulling that flame from the void."  He says before leaning back in his chair, eager eyes locked upon the student.

The student does as he is asked, first he furrows his brows, struggling for a moment.  His eyes then lighting up purple.   After a moment the student then directs this purple aura into the palm of his hand, staring intently to a specific point on his palm.  Then after a few more seconds a small candle sized flame burst to life, only briefly.  The student then falls back in his chair with a large sigh, seemingly exhausted.

Eradus allows a huge grin to come across his face, briefly applauding the student.  "Good!" He exclaims.  "It could use work though, this concludes the lesson for now."

  9. Order.  It is the state of how things should be, pure and without any form of corruption.  Order is truth.  Each entity standing on the basis that it belongs to.  If something is corrupt, it is not its true self, but it is influenced by something otherworldly.  Something that was not meant by the creator.

Blood lust, something bestowed upon the orcs by Iblees.  A curse they have had for quite some time since history that predates our civilizations. This curse has seemingly lasted among the orcs for many thousands of years, and has now become a kin to the norm. This curse disrupts the order the creator so intended for descendents, however, in a sense it has become the new order until we can cure it. Nowadays, there is a new Iblees, another curse that sometimes befalls the other races.  Akin to that of an Orc, it curses them with an unnatural lust for blood. A lust for violence against anything the creator or our lord Janus had so conceived. This new curse is not one not bestowed upon them by the creator, an aenguldaemon, or even a drakkar; but by something completely unnatural and foreign to my mind.  The creator did not intend for those descending from Krug to be cursed with blood lust and neither did Iblees intend for those descending from the other brothers to be afflicted with such an affliction. This new force is chaos. Like the void, it is undetermined, it is unnatural. This is not order, it is a force to sow dissent among our own mortal ranks.  The curse is a force which those with gifts from Janus actively work to cleanse.

This is order.  How things were as the creator made them.  The creator made things how they should be, without curses, without corruption, despite this there are still curses and those that corrupt.  We are the chosen of Janus to restore the realm. By Xannic light, the corruption will burn away until the path is cleared once more.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Alchemy

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Perhaps dating back all the way to the beginning of time, there have been descendants who seek to fully understand the world. One way of doing so would be to get into alchemy, as it is the art of fully understanding the mundane items around you, and mixing them together in very specific ways to create all sorts of things.

While just taking a random herb and mixing it together may get a result in a few scenarios, there are certain ways you need to do so in alchemy, this is the extraction methods.  So when dealing with herbs you can draw certain signs out of them certain ways, or just doing so the normal way to receive a measure of a symbol, though without any specific sign to it.  You can also use one of the four elemental extraction methods, or the aether extraction method, giving the symbols you extract the specific prefix.

When you do this you can not just grab any herb, every herb, or reagents, have a specific set of alchemical properties, this is their sign, then symbols.  All reagents contain signs, the five signs are, aether, fire, water, earth, air.  While certain potions call for specific signs, most of the time it is simply the mundane sign, which is just for the symbol itself.  There are a large number of symbols that are more specific, and each herb contains several symbols, and certain amounts of said symbols are needed to craft a potion.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

There are sort of, though those must be discovered irply, while my character do not know about them irply, they consist of.

    • Warforging - A way of ascetically modifying the look of weapons and armor through the use of alchemy.
    • Infernal alchemy -  Alchemy, which also makes use of reagents from Moz Strimoza.
    • Alteration alchemy - Temporarily changing how someone looks through alchemy.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

Eradus enters his personal lab, getting straight to work chopping up some Ants Blight with his knife, first into ribbons, then very small little cubes. Then moving immediately over to his mortar and pestle, grinding the shredded Ants Blight, while stopping every so often to mix in a half portion of salt.  He now moves over to a large sieve, swiftly running the powdered Ants Blight through it a few times, being left with only the powder, having sieved out all the salt.

Eradus rubs his hands together satisfactorily before then removing the two measures of connection from the pile, disregarding the rest.  He pauses for a few moments, glancing about the lab to grab two Saffvil herbs, wincing some from the smell emitting from the nasty herb, he quickly repeats the process of shredding it with his knife, grinding it in his mortar with a half portion of salt, then sieving the salt out once more.  He then removes three curtailment symbols, popping it into a bottle along with the connection symbol.

Eradus now plops down a some Alabaster leafs with a sigh, now for the fourth time slicing a herb into small cubes with his knife.  "This is a bit of a repetitive process."  He mutters under his breath, now moving back over to the mortar and pestle, simply grinding the leaves into a fine powder.  He now quickly scoops up some Aqua Vitae, saturating the powder well before plopping just the wet powder on to the counter.  He quickly sifts through it some, grabbing out two growth symbols, and a single rigidity.

This is what the item would look like.

     -=-=Tangle foot potion=-=-

A viscous goo simply sitting idly within the bottle.

Though when this potion is thrown, and the bottle shatters it will expand in a two block radius, slowly solidifying over time. (3 emotes to solidify) While once hardened it can be rather tricky to escape, though it is possible by chipping away at the hardened substance. (2 emotes to escape)  [This potion follows all alchemical rules and redlines of Tanglefoot Potion]

(then like a st signature here)

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Eradus carefully picks up a plant of Blissfoil by the stem with a gloved hand, then spinning around to look at his student. "It is important to not touch the petals, as it would make your hand go numb for some time." He then spins back around to grab a knife, placing the herb on a cutting board. First slicing the herb into ribbons, then small cubes, before sliding them into his mortar. "This is the starting step for I believe all of the extraction methods, it is important to get it right." He mutters backward to the student, then sliding the herb into a mortar. He begins grinding the herb into a powder. "Uhm, scratch that, just write this down as the mundane extraction method, because that is basically it, now we just rinse it in aqua vitae." He adds as he moves to rinse the powder with aqua vitae. "Uhm, ti, that is is, that is the entirety of the mundane extraction method."

Othelu grabs his notebook, quickly jotting some things down. "Uhm, ti, that is, well... mundane."

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I would start with discussing it with them OOCly, then maybe making sure they read over the right lore and see where they messed up in the redlines.  Then I would continue rp, though emoting and making sure they understand what they done can't work, or  allow them to void there emote and rewrite it accordingly.  If they continue to powergame I will contact a ST or someone, potentially dropping them as a student.
