Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

This Copper Golem was created by Fenwick Gairos (Dwarf male, later years) an inventor in Urguan. He constructed this automaton along with others to help him with simple tasks around his home. Cleaning up messes, transporting deliveries/goods, helping relay messages to others in the continent from Fenwick, etc. But after he passed away, the automatons were set free to find new homes to serve others. Screwie, was one of the later created automatons, he has been wandering the past couple weeks to look for a new purpose and reason to serve. He currently resides along the roads to Elsyuim rusted and running low on power, needing to find a proper replacement for his core. 

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look? 

A 3'4'' copper golem with basic shining armor. The automaton has cyan blue glowing eyes and mouth, the automaton as well cannot speak more than two-word sentences. If it tries it has to take pauses in order for it to complete a full sentence. The built of the small automaton is rotund and curved, not many jagged or pointed joints (can be shown to strangers as a means of trust and helping.) The automaton has a chest cavity where it can carry around 10 pounds worth of materials, alongside the chest cavity, inside the automaton is a small gem core that connects to everything inside the automaton that causes its life. The gem is connected to its throat to make it speak, the joints for it to be able to move, and the head for it to think.
