    Pet Adoption Day 

     

    Be Kind to Animals Week is an annual event that takes place during the first week of May. It was created by the American Humane Association in 1915 to promote compassion towards animals. During this special week, animal shelters across the country organize various events to raise awareness about the role of animals in our lives and communities. It's an opportunity to celebrate the unique bond between humans and animals and to encourage everyone to treat animals with kindness and respect.

     

    Children’s Day 

     

    Every year, World Children's Day is celebrated to promote international togetherness, and awareness among children worldwide, and to improve children's welfare. 

     

    November 20th is an important date as it is the date in 1959 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. It is also the date in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child. 

     

    Since 1990, World Children's Day also marks the anniversary of the UN General Assembly adopting the Declaration and the Convention on Children's Rights. 

     

    Every country holds it on a different day, For example, the United Kingdom holds it on the 12th of May the second Sunday of  May, while in America it is on the 9th of June the second Sunday of June.

    Every 24th of May, Scavenger Hunt Day is held. It is where all things Scavenger Hunt is observed and celebrated. On this day people embark on quests, decipher clues, and search for hidden treasures, fostering teamwork and excitement.

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Alchemy is known as the study of signs and symbols that make up the material alphabet. It consists of the process of learning about the symbols, how to extract them, the differing ways to extract them. Within such there is five main types of elements which all require differing extraction techniques;

     

    - Water

    - Earth

    - Air

    - Eather 

    - Mundane

     

    Alongside these signs, there are a further 38 symbols representing for example Instability, Poison, and life yet there are many more than just those three. 

     

    Alchemy can be used to make at its core potions, yet it also has many more uses such as making machines such as Constructs, golems, and automation, it can also be used within types of flesh crafting. Alchemy knowledge is not limited to what is on the page but allows the user to create more. 

     

    At first, someone would struggle with making out the symbols of the material alphabet, yet as knowledge increases throughout their studies, they can pick up with quite relative ease once they reach t3.

    In addition to alchemy itself, there are many differing types of subclasses in a sense of it such as but not limited to;

     

    - Hunter’s Alchemy

    - Alteration Alchemy

    - Confectionary Alchemy

    - Tawkin’s

     

    Confectionary alchemy is a type of alchemy that adjusts the effects of food itself. Any confection made from such comes off as whimsy effects that provide no combat benefit or extra benefit if added to existing alchemy ingredients. It can be used for example in such cases of making someone float for a few moments with a feeling of free falling - The Potion called ‘Essence of freefall’ can be used for this.

    This is to make 3 cockatrice. 

     

    takes the Tippens Root x3 as places it down on the counter, beside the already prepared mortar and pestle. She took the blade with her right hand and held the tippens down with her left. She slowly but quickly moved to chop it into fine pieces in a practised moment. She murmured under her breath as she worked focusing on the task at hand. Once she finished cutting it into fine pieces. She moved to slip the pieces into the mortar.

     

    She would then move to grind the Tippens Root x3 into a fine dust. She did this with a rather fast-paced movement. Once it was grinded into a dust she placed the tippens into a small bowl before moving to collect the Diddyfunkle x2  and Amberriddle x3 repeating the process once more. She placed each herb within a different bowl, to ensure they were separate.

     

    This was when she moved to grab the Aqua Vitae  x3 as she pours enough count into each bowl. Before moving to stow the remaining vitae away for another use.

     

    While the regents were left to sit, she moved around the lab to the corner of the room to check on the flame she had readied before collecting the required vials for the next step. She moved to pick up a sheave as she moved to the first bowl removing the impurities from the first bowl as she drained the mixture slowly ensuring its waste was removed from it and properly put to the side. She used the pure mixture by pouring it into a small vial. She would /repeat/ this movement three times.

     

    As she poured it into the last vial she took all three stringing them upon their hooks as she adjusted the flame slightly. She would leave them for a moment as she cleaned up her workspace. She let out a small sigh adjusting herself as she picked up a holder for the viles putting it upon the now clean counter. 

     

    Her right hand moved carefully to pick up each vial from its hanging place by using a small tool to do so to limit the chance of burning herself. She placed each vial carefully into its place on the rack as she moved to gaze upon her work as she moved to secure another bowl to use to sort them.

     

    She took a moment to pause from her work then before moving back to looking at the note with the instructions once more. She then picked up the Blissfoil the last regent she required as she moved to shred and crush it until it was no longer ‘solid’ but more so a /heavy/ mush before she thinly poured it over a dish. Allowing the solution to Evaporate gradually over the narrative day leaving the required regent.  As she waited she prepped the Aqua Vitae within a small bottle to form the base of the whole mixture.


     

    She moved to at a glance sort the following regents from the powder, Water | Any , 6x Impediment, 3x Poison, 9x Rigidity and 3x Curtailment. Once completed she proceeded to pour them into a new bowl and into the bottle with the Aqua Vitae in the order of the way she had sorted it. Though the water came foremost before she sealed it.

    Aurelia shifted her visage to her student as she placed down the bundle of herbs, “We are going to work on making some null arcana today, any questions? It will be like the previous potions ea taught vy but just a little different.”

     

    “Firstly we are going to do what we normally to extract the regents, we will be doing the recipe listed but three times so make sure to account for such, we will need three tippen root, three sweet rock, three hiding moss and three liquid mana which ea have produced for vy. We will soak it in liquid mana, not aqua vitae this time around.” 

     

    The student would do this by moving to separate the herbs and doing the required work so they could separate them

     

    “We will need vy to find six impediment, Nine connection and six reduction. Once such is separated make them into a coarse powder like ea taught vy.”

     

    The student does as directed.

     

    “Then mix them into an airtight bottle with the liquid mana - it should leave a transparent liquid we can apply to one of vyr arrows another saints day.” 

     

    The student does as directed and beams once they get it correct.


    “See, it is niet too hard! Just keep in mind when vy want to soak it into an item, to leave it for a narrative day in a tray filled with the potion.”

    If my student powergames during or after a lesson, I would first try to approach them oocly to go over what was done wrong, and if they misunderstood anything. If such fails to work and they continue such behavior I will see if there is an alternative way to explain it to them. Should this fail,, I will have ST remove that student from my TA.

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Paladinism is a form of deity magic given to those within the service of the Aengul Xan; brother of Tahariae.- The aengul of order and guardianship. Those of Xan’s service are seen as servants of the Aengul itself carrying out its will of keeping the darkness of the world at bay while ensuring the light never sets and that order is maintained/created.

     

    It is a three-slot Deific magic with 5 Tiers, which requires a Valid MA/TA to roleplay and teach. Each tier comes with a varying amount of embers which form the baseline of the ability of someone with the MA. To be more in-depth Paladins use their embers as their mana in a sense to cast their spells which cost embers themselves to cast, as they progress the number of embers increases as their eternal ember strengthens. 

     

    The following embers are provided at each tier:

    Tier 1: 4 Embers

    Tier 2: 6 Embers

    Tier 3: 8 Embers

    Tier 4: 10 Embers

    Tier 5: 14 Embers

     

    Yet using Embers can come with a price, as they use more and more of their allowance of embers. At around half of their allowance of embers, they shall begin to feel the negative effects as the starting symptoms of exhaustion and fatigue present themselves. If they were to cast till complete depletion it becomes a selfless, sacrificial act, as one would have to utilise all the vestiges of vitality that remain to muster one last, leading to the coughing of blood, locking of limbs, unconsciousness, or any other sign of ineffable strain that comes with channelling divine energies. 

     

    The mists of Xan are the sign itself of a Paladin’s capabilities, as it’s the very groundwork of Xan’s power evoked, and as such is used in turn with embers to weave their spells. The colour of one’s mists is often reflective of their Character or core beliefs, but also has an aesthetic effect. Once a Paladin is connected they are unable to change the colour of the mists they first set for themselves, either gold, silver or emerald. Cobalt is of course possible as a colour but it is reserved for the Aengul Xan himself, or His direct subordinates such as a Keeper for example. Mists also have the effect of causing Non-Darkspawn to feel a sense of warmth and comfort, while Darkspawns feel a cold, scornful sensation when in the mist's presence.

     

    As servants of the Aengul Xan, they do not come without weakness, as all that are created have an equal weakness. That is why in this case the counter to his lord's light and order is the chaotic state of the void with its everlasting darkness. This means that any type of Voidal magic can disrupt a paladin's magic, and as such is capable of breaking through its defences and disrupting its function, and it is fully able to null the Xannic Fervour all paladins are capable of producing if the weapon is directly struck by void magic and Vindicator’s Mantle if it comes into direct exposure with void magic for more than three emotes.

     

    Before one can be considered to become a Knight of Xan, an initiate/unembered must typically undergo several trials to prove their worth of the sunlit path. The tasks vary from group to group and teacher to teacher, none are the same in most cases. If one manages to complete such a series of trials and is deemed worthy of Xan’s gift, they can be ordained as a Knight of Xan.

     

    To be ordained as a Knight of Xan - All Paladins must be ordained at a Chancery of any level T1-T3 respectfully,  with a ritual which is generally freeform in nature yet the baseline is that when such an Ordaining occurs, the soul is painfully awakened and tethered to Xan’s realm via his cobalt mists, this will set alight the eternal ember within the Initiate which signifies their duty to the Aengul Xan. It must be noted not all can become a Knight of Xan, as one’s soul must be untainted by unnatural influences.

     

    Paladinism, like many other types of divine magic, follows a set of Covenants that all followers of this sub-magic should typically adhere to. These laws were established by the deity who gifted them with this power and have been in place since the beginning of the faith. They are as follows in their simplest forms:

     

    • They are not permitted to engage in Descendant vs Descendant conflict, as all descendants are equal within the eyes of Xan and engaging in such a war is enacting harm upon descendants over politics.
    • Paladins may join any organization they want as long as it doesn’t break other Covenants. It also doesn’t matter if the Paladin worships another as long as the Paladin isn’t breaking other Covenants in doing so.
    • Do not attack, betray, and/or kill fellow Paladins. This as well as sending others to kill your fellow Paladins. If an honourable duel is declared, then it is exempted from these Covenants.
    • Do not sell out your deity. This means giving connections, deific artefacts, and/or abilities for money, favours, or personal gain. Donations or praise rewards given are fine, but not the sole reason for doing your duty.
    • Do not use your holy abilities on innocents except in self-defence or its clear intent said person is a threat to others. On that same note, do not kill any innocents regardless of abilities used or not. Torturing innocents counts in this as well.
    • Do not assist dark groups in working their dark arts, committing slaughter, hurting innocents, or anything else that may jeopardize the Covenants. Willfully standing to the side and watching as they do this count as well, as bad as if the Paladin had committed these acts themselves. Infiltrating or tricking dark groups is acceptable, as long as no Covenants are broken in the process and no dark or nefarious deeds are done, or are permitted in the name of ‘subterfuge.’ Above all, guardianship and order must reign supreme.

    To break such a covenant, one will be often dutifully punished, with either a path of redemption being required or one being disconnected from the path.

    During these tiers fledglings of Xan are only newly attuned to their state and will have varying difficulty in adequately harnessing the mists. At these tiers respectively they will unlock:

    Tier Two [Two  Weeks]  - Mist Healing, Xannic Armaments

     

    Tier Three 

     

    The Sunlit Path diverges as two schools of mist weaving expand with different goals: protecting and hunting.  This is where Paladins must undertake a trial of a path they wish to join, either by performing an act of self sacrifice to become a Vindicator, or a feat of the hunt to become a Wrymstalker. If one is successful in one or the other of the two acts, they will undertake a ritual to make them a twice-ordained Knight Of Xan. At this stage, Sacred Artificery is able to be learnt.

    The Vindicators are the paragons of guardianship. They are prepared to make any sacrifice for what they believe in.     The Wrymstalkers are an elite group of silver sentinels that belong to the Order. They are known for their unwavering determination in pursuit of their goals, especially when it comes to hunting down their prey with noble intentions. They show no mercy to those who are alignedwith darkness and use traps, tactics, and lightning spears in combat. Their mastery of lightning reflects their unpredictable nature and nascent abilities, marked by Bouts of sudden volatility and hints of static energy.

    Tier Four

    At this tier, they're able to perform the act of connection to begin teaching the next generation of Paladins, though at this tier they will only have one student slot. To Move forward from this tier there are several tasks to undertake such as:

    • Graduating a student. 
    • A great feat must be performed.
    • A Manuscript on Xan and his teachings 
    • Crafted and Created Sacred Artificery.
    •

    At this stage, Paladins can be taught disconnection, and hence eligible to become a warden to create their own chanceries.

    Spell Example - Mist healing

     

    Ailure’s visage shifted over the injured child. Her visage cascaded over their injuries for a moment taking in the broken arm that lay limp at his side. She allowed her features to soften at this as she moved to crouch beside the boy. “Stay still for me, little one” She offers softly at this as a crackle of emerald mists manifests from her right palm and toward the boy’s arm. 

     

    The mist slowly moved up and along the boy’s arm as she moved her right hand up slightly as if locating the exact location of the break. 

     

    As the mists found their target, they wove along the boy’s arm seeping into the area of the break. A splint of sorts was created at this wrapping itself around the boy’s broken bone in question to pull it together. Providing a ‘splint’ for the boy. The boy throughout this merely stared in shock towards the woman. Yet Ailure did not falter, offering them a soft smile.

     

    As the Splint was completed the mists would draw away from the boy’s arm and retreat within her right palm. She rose at this. “Vy should head to a clinic to get that properly treated, it will only hold for so long.” She offered to the boy at this as he quickly nodded in her direction and scampered off.

    Ailure lofts her right hand motioning for her student to enter the alchemy Lab. “Have vy done the homework ea have set?” She inquired towards her student simply. 

     

    The student offers a nod at this. As they move around the other side of the table, their visage remaining upon Ailure.

     

    “Have you heard of healing mists?” She inquires as she shuffles around the lab collecting an object here and there glancing towards her student as she asked this.

     

    “A little not seen it in person though.” The student responded.

     

    “Mist healing allows us to quickly seal injuries to a larger degree during conflict or time constrated situations. We cannot heal broken bones though merely offer them a splint to aid in their healing. It is useful when ea have exampled had to deal with an arrow piercing another - it allows for quicker healing time in a way and prevents the loss often of our brother or sisters life or even descendants.” - “Any questions?”

     

    The Student shakes their head at this.

     

    Ailure places a box before them filled with objects for a later time, “Ea will merely shall tell you how to conduct such - Opening wounds without need is unadvisable and wasting embers is niet the grandest idea.” Her blue hue’s shifted to display a Emerald glow. A crackling emerald mist being summoned from her palm as the mist twirls and shifts itself into a diagram of a cut.

     

    “We first identify to the best of our ability where the injuries itself lay, as some can be seen others cannot be directly spotted a first sight such as breaks within a bone. Once found we direct our mists towards it.” The mist-formed hand upon the diagram slowly moved up and along the diagram towards the break as if attempting to find the exact location of the break. 

     

    “Once in this case a wound is located such as seen and the mists ar directed towards it, we start to ‘seal’ it in a sense. Imagine vyrself sewing up a mundane wound - and mimic it with the mists.” The mist ‘weaves’ itself into the wound upon the diagram starting to seal itself up. 

     

    “Shallow wounds will not leave a mark, but deeper than such will leave a silvery scar - a mark of our healing.”  Her visage turns to her student once more. “Any questions?”

     

    “Can we heal wounds such as malflame burns?” The student inquires at this.

     

    “We can heal a malflame burns, but if it is more cursed in nature we will need to revert to purging. I will teach vy how to purge at a later date.” She assures them at this. “Shall we get to praticing vyr stitches?”

It only raced faster as she heard how he had passed. Her heart was pounding within her chest as the echoes of the voices overwhelmed her only further.     With the end of the siege of the necromantic fort, the mountains of Brabant are secure. However, for this, a great many individuals lost their lives in this battle. In particular, Alder Whitewood, the youngest son of the Duke, gave his life to take the keep.

     

    To celebrate this victory, and commemorate the death of Alder Whitewood, The Courts of Eala will host a dance in the name of St. Carolus, Patron of Selfless Service, Protection of Children and Sacrifice for One’s Family.
