Why have you decided to apply for the Moderation Team?

Given my time as a tech team triage member, I'm already familiar with the ticketing system and support-oriented nature of the work. Though triage tends to have much simpler issues than moderation does, the core principle of responding in a timely manner and providing a positive experience for the players regardless of the ruling is key. I also want to take on a more active role in supporting the server, and there is certainly always work to be done. I understand moderation is arguably one of the most difficult positions, especially with the heated nature that tends to come from moderator situations, though- it is because of the tireless effort of this team (along with the others) that the server I spend my free time on is able to function and be a fun place for myself and others, and I wish to support that endeavor.

What can you offer to the team?

I have experience in running other communities as a moderator, and have experience working retention in customer-support facing roles in my real life work. I think when it comes to moderation work in particular, there's going to be cases where someone gets upset- or in order for a fair ruling to be made, the players may not get exactly what they want, despite this its important to always be kind, polite, and professional especially when having to deliver bad news.

Additionally, confidence and standing firm in applying the rules equitably and fairly is, in my opinion- a very key aspect of being a moderator. If the players don't have faith that the moderator that is handling their situation knows what they are doing, then they will ask for another mod or a manager and things can then get out of hand or otherwise lead to mod shopping.

If you were the Mod Admin, what would you change about the server?

Consistency. I believe this is actually already being worked on, or this is my hope that this is going to improve- with the new clearer war rule updates, to including lairs in those rules which previously had none. I have high hopes for heist rule updates and other changes that can be made to make the rules easier to enforce while being clearer to the playerbase. Of course there will always be one-off instances and discrepancies and odd scenarios where common sense and judgement will need to be employed for a fair ruling and to set good precedent for the future going forwards, but I don't think it's fair for players to be punished or be uncertain because of a lack of clarity in the rules. This can also be impacted by mod training, as well.
