  1. I'm not sure if I'm too keen on this. While, of course, I simply adore the idea that things will become inevitably harder to obtain thus increasing the price, but there are things such as heat? I understand a plugin of this sort must have taken time to create but I feel it is a very ridiculous idea. Minecraft's standard mechanic allows you to die rather quickly when touching lava, which is perfectly acceptable, but just like how you would have taken damage in the nether in Aegis you take damage too low to the ground? I most certainly do not like this. And whats more, mention of a diamond mind would be amusing if it was 1000SB all around and only two diamonds would be created in said mine per 14 hours.

I don't like 'heat' from lava. It's silly and unnecessary. Nor do I like proposing the risk of death by blockjumping from such a standard, common job such as mining.

  2. Yeeeees. I remember you making Tiazar the richest cat in the lands with those crazy taxes :3

Honestly, I had figured my taxes were honest enough at the time. Man is it funny to live poor now that we're in Anthos, and I have no way of making money.

Good to hear that the community thrives though, I might make a new one again.

  3. In response to DCGO, I'm learning how to play with Java now that I'm finished with my HTML lessons. If its anything that the technician team hasn't proper time to spare, I'd like to try my hand at producing a plugin for this.

Oh, right, and by the way; this idea seems nearly flawless, though I can't help but see what is missing. I've been playing as the Alchemist since the server was founded, yet I hadn't set a structural basis of which to go on yet, and the result of your work is phenomenal; this coming from someone who is hard to please.

What I had in mind; Maybe using shears on a block could yield a chance to obtain some ingredient dependent on the biome? In desert biomes, you'd likely find something relating to a desert flora, vise versa with forests and such. This process could be done so that it affects the area in chunks; if there has already been a search of ingredients in this chunk, it needs ten minutes to regrow. Again, only a potential idea. I want this to not physically affect the environment whilst still keeping the possibility of a fun experience for Alchemists.

Before I forget, as well, I'd like to talk to you personally on how potions are made and the ingredients used in such.

    Thanks.

  4. I think it's incredibly odd how I felt nostalgia towards Aegis, and now only to find that the Kharajyr times were included in such nostalgia a year later.

It's hard to think that it's been an entire year since it's production, and it makes me think back two years of when Xerdun, myself, Ninjaremix, and many others were posting on a forum page, building the city that I used to flymod to get to quickly.

It's so odd how things progressed, and, the prominent question that I have for making this thread, is how many Kharajyr actively play their characters? I'm very happy it didn't die out after all this time.

    History

[short version, as I don't want to write the year-long paper of his life]

Akeron was born in the Islands of Aloria, where he ran away from his home at the age of Sixteen to the faraway land of Aegis. He joined a group of friends that quickly inhabited his life. Years went on by and he discovered the essence of magical property in certain plants, thus he began to produce an apothecary/alchemy book that would guide him. Around this period of his life, he was introduced to thievery, which led him to steal all the treasury from Kal' Alras. Later on, he began learning the effects and names of plants took years, and in accident, he discovered many secrets. One, of which, was immortality. He could use the potion to reduce the age of his body. On two occasions he had overused the potion and renewed his entire life without knowledge of his past. At age 254, at the appearance of only a boy, he quickly regrew his new life with aid of his new group of friends. Caden, William, and himself had bonded and befriended quickly to prosper his favorite moments in his long life. He was, however, aiding the Undead by supplying them with massive amounts of minerals so that they could conquer Aegis. Many more hundreds of years had gone by before he had nearly lost his entire treasury, the Undead had taken over the near entirety of Aegis. He stood beside the new Overlord as he took over the world. What he knew, however, was that the Undead would unlikely give him the power that he had so craved for many years. He was unlikely to survive in this new Aegis that was intoxicated with Sulfuric substance so he cloaked himself as he hurried onto the trip to Asulon. He was in a deep denial of who he was, living by himself for a time he knew not in years. One day, however, he simply awoke to find himself incredibly confused. He was in what looked to be the Cloud Temple of Aegis? A mere dream, he might have thought, before he walked out into the world of Anthos.

[so much more to be said, yet I don't have the patience to write it.]

  6. Didn't know where else to put this, but yeah, I'm on my old laptop from the summer of 2011 while my new one is being fixed up and I find this picture of where I made my first scam attempt to be the richest person in LotC. It worked by the way, as there was a chest glitch where the entire contents of it would be deleted. It all turned out nicely and I made a nice living from July-25 till till whenever the Aegis-Asulon switch came around. More or less quit after that.

Anyways, I was just wanting to put this picture up because it brings me nostalgia of the past.
