  1. Blundermore and Sparrow are correct:- Landclaims have been removed and will not be returning, therefore any user can actually create a settlement once they gain permission from the nation who holds the land.

I'm going to be making a thread providing the essential information for 3.0 land claiming and regioning in the near future (as a staff vote and public vote have decided). You can read about it in the 'Your View' forum, which contains the basic structure of the system although I shall be changing it slightly, to ensure that GMs are able to moderate the number of authorised settlements in the world to avoid over-building.

Your city will have to be built in roleplay, after the necessary 'gaining authorisation' roleplay has occured. Whether you will be granted permission from a Nation Leader or not is entirely up to the Nation Leader.

Expect a thread detailing the exact system in the next few days however, as I am still to finalise some details.

Good to hear, ill look it up once its complete.

Zerragon! Long time no see. Welcome back to the server. And yeah, VIP land claims were removed recently, but they've been pretty much gone for most of Asulon anyway.

Hi old friend, good to see youre still playing :)

We will definatly make contact with you if we decide to play again.

  2. Oh I remember you two it's great to see you're both thinking about coming back. Snowy Fields made some awesome memories.

Thank you Pikel, glad you enjoyed SF, so did we :)

Towns and cities that are not capitals will have to be made RP'ly in 3.0, this involves having to be granted permission to build from the ruling cast of the area. For example, you want to build a road side inn in Oren's land, and so Rp'ly you would go to the officals in the capital of Oren and requistion this from whoever handles that and get it approved by the rulling faction leader of that place. There isn't a lot of wilds in the new lands and no one is getting anything prebuilt past Capital cities and needed RP buildings (Like large Forts or bridges over places) etc. The rest like smaller settlements away from these places will have to be done after we move to the new map. The rest of the prebuilt structures are to do with events and for RP that I am not at liberty to digress into.

Thanks for the quick response. A fresh settlement in the wilds sounds more like us, ideally we would like to build more or less undisturbed, then request the nearest officials for a road connection once we feel it is perfect and worthy of exploring. So once the new map is ready, we should have a good backstory and lore for our settlement in place and try to get it accepted.

  3. Hello LOTC staff.

Me and my friend Tarannon used to play LOTC 1.0, we donated 100$ each and got enough land to build Snowy Fields, and later Caer Ayrenn after SF got destroyed by undead.

    Ref:

    Snowy Fields

Caer Ayrenn Wiki entry seems to have has been removed, but we have a complete video walkthrough on youtube:

When 2.0 released, we took a break, but after reading up about 3.0, we are interested again.

We are primarly interested in building our own city, and let players move in afterwards if they want. All building and player interaction we

want to roleplay, as last time.

Will this be possible in 3.0 ?, and would we need to donate again ?, if so how much ?, we would like a rather large playground :)

  4. I understand the incentives for starting a new world, and Ive grown accustomed to the idea.

As mentioned by others, it would be nice to get a confirm whether or not all our creations gets viped or tranfserred. Me and Tarannon has buildt a massive city the latest month, which we are extremely pleased with.

Would be nice to know if theres any point in continue working on it.

Anyway, I hope you give us a weeks noticed before the actual point of no return.

We want to have an epic video and a bunch of screenshots from what we made, or it would be all in vain.

Also, at some point it was mentioned that major cities might get transferred, is this still valid ?, can we make an application for our city to be transferred ?

I know this is only a valid option if there are no chances of map corruption, in which you would want

to start a fresh new world.

  5. Id like to see a "line of spells", (abjuration/alteration based), that aids no aggressive tasks,

    like builders and adventurers.

"Hover" - Makes you levitate right up and down. No more dirt towers.

"Demolish" - Destroys a huge chunk of blocks placed by yourself, or in a protection zone youre admin in. Results in a quicker way to undo and redo stuff you want changed.

"Dimension door" - teleports the player to a valid location hes looking at.

"Feather fall" - Float like a feather and take no falling damage.

"Beacon" - Sets a beacon, or teleports the player to a placed beacon. Only one beacon may be maintained at a time, and they will eventually time out to prevent exploits.

"Sanctuary" - Prevents monsters from attacking the player. This breaks if the player makes an attack. Mining, digging, cutting sheeps etc. does not break sanctuary. Would make it possible to actually do these tasks at night without getting serial raped by 10 pigmen.

  6. This town sounds great. I might be interested in checking it out. Will there be affordable housing (2000-2500 minas) or is it going to be cheap and expensive?

Yes, we will for sure offer houses by the foot of the mountain in that price range.

We have not decided on the small houses on top of the mountain, in the heart of Caer Ayrenn yet.

  7. (( Boooo ! Snowy Fields should have been left in some good looking (protected) ruins

to leave its mark and history on Aegis, for new players to visit and read up on what happened, at least all our work at building it wouldnt feel like a complete waste of time that way.....))

  8. Greetings, As you may have noticed Snowy Fields is in complete ruins, and is abandoned. This needs to change, That is why I am proposing on rebuilding Snowy Fields. If we rebuild Snowy Fields we can get closer and closer to the Undead. Also Once we rebuild Snowy Fields we can build more layers of defenses North of it. We need to rebuild Snowy Fields! Please, King Edmund Sheffield of Oren, Give us permission to rebuild Snowy Fields.

Anyone who would like to join the Rebuilding of Snowy Fields Please Post Below.

    Map of Snowy Fields

I disapprove, Snowy Fields might as well stay in ruins and be part of the history.

Also, beeing able to visit the ruined town and read up on what happened there and its history, works as kind of a museum.

We might go back and "fresh up" the ruins one day, and put the history in books in the town library.

  9. Rest in Piece Bell.

Your effort at defending Snowy Fields until the bitter end will never be forgotten.

(OOC: That memorial looks like crap btw, give it some more effort than some bricks

of sandstone with dirt floating in the air, my ten year old could do better)

  10. Fellow Aegisians! please settle down the sgaes have much on their minds and are trying their best with this terrible threat! dont worry things will turn out one way or another

Dont worry if things will turn out one way or another ?, of course we worry since one of these ways could result in total northern domination by the undead.

  11. I hope the undead made some worthy looking ruins out of Snowy Fields, and not levelled everything to the ground.

One day, brave adventureres and heroes will want to seek out the "Haunted ruins of Snowy Fields" and read up on its history and what happened there.

And who knows, what lies hidden beneath may not stay hidden forever....
