      Our voyage has been long and patient, but now we have returned and have shed our sails. While our city has risen and fallen across many continents, there exists a City of Alras that lives on a higher plane. Untarnished by time, it remained fixed in the minds of so many during our absence. For the years upon my ship, every night in my dreams I would wander its streets, marveling at its perfect splendor. Then I would turn my sight to my hands and I would know: this I did not build alone. This city of dreams was built by all who have served me, all whom I have served, and has been sustained by all who have come to admire it as if it were their own home, you who longed for it to live again in this world.

     In my dreams this city is far from empty: I see your shadows walk its streets and I know what it is you desire. Your dreams have called out to mine, a glorious bonfire in that misty otherworld, and like a moth to flame I have answered your summons. You and I will together stoke this fire to such intensity never seen before, and there shall be no place in the world of matter or the world of dreams that will escape the touch of its warm light. Even now we build our city at the base of that beacon, and will soon open ourselves to the world to see. We encourage all who would add to our efforts to join us.

The wind raked the faces of the white and blue sails as the ship sought its way towards a shore on the horizon. It was almost time, and every man and woman on board knew this. Every night they had tended to their dreams, anxiously awaiting news from the mainland. But the shepherd of their dreams, seated upon his gilded throne below deck, was never impatient, never cynical of success. When the word finally came, of the turmoil on the mainland that gave them their window of opportunity, they were all ready to smash the glass. Now, in sight of their destination, the soul of the ram squeezed out every drop of spare strength in them as they made the last push to shore. Adjusting his seated posture, the being below deck smiled. The sand grated vainly against the hull as the ship beached, and the crowned dwarf stood from his golden throne of diamonds. He ascended to the deck with his entourage and simply nodded to those who had followed him for so long. After the crew disembarked onto the virgin beach, the crowned figure knelt and picked up a handful of sand, then let it pass through his many-ringed fingers.

High King Syrio Forel turned to face them all, and said,

As I said before, the ability to create and maintain one would need some advanced machinery and processes that we do not have on this server.

Plus, if this is allowed, then the work Alras had done so long ago to create blimps should be reconsidered due to it's nature.

 

Alrasian engineering guild didn't actually work on blimps. They just bothered Shiftnative with it as he seemed to have a massive hate-on for anything 'steampunk' related. We did create Cannons though, and kept them in our sole possession for a little more than a year.

It's a good idea if you can get players back into the Official LoTC TS but that's going to be difficult because everyone and their grandmother has their own personal TS for various reasons. also how about that gamevox
