  1. We could even go for a city charter..

((That we could, the idea seems to be semi-popular, though we should establish the town if it isn't already and make sure everyone *cough* me *cough* knows where it is and such. Once we're settled in, expansion should be much easier.))

Edit: ((I also just realized how many people who have signed the charter that I have atleast come across in 2.0 and didn't know they signed the charter.))

  2. ~snip~

((Alright, thanks for all of that clarification. I figured it'd be best to ask questions now rather than mess up when RPing as a high elf. Now knowing this, I think that trying to redevelop a high elven culture or trying to discover the old one will be very interesting. Come on Asulon, I can't wait!

    Thanks!))

  3. ((Although it doesn't show it on the live stream, the survivors actually met up with Goldrim and whoever was with him but we ended up splitting off in different directions to find where we were supposed to take the axe. While some died as the Nexus collapsed, others managed to escape through the various nether portals. I personally went through one of the portals and ended up in a large cave system until I eventually came out near Laurelin, lol.))

((Ah, well it is much nicer to hear another side of the story than what the livestream showed and what was actually going on from a champions point of view. So does this mean that a good deal of champions survived and just ended up getting lost? Or did many champions die as well?

Also, I'm curious to hear the story from Maur's point of view, I think it was, the guy who Native almost killed when destroying a bridge, as well as the person that Native killed when destroying a bridge.))

  4. ((OOC Question about OOC questions...

If we are a high elf, are we allowed to use the information revealed here as we are high elves and know it already? Unless of course there is some small bit of knowledge that an average high elf may not know...

    And another OOC question...

Also, just a bit curious, how do high elves talk? As in, I know that elves in general seem to be semi-formal and articulate and such when speaking as well as having a usually large vocabulary. They also view the passing of time in a much different way than humans and such due to their long lives. In terms of behavior, they are a proud race and such and I assume that this will also affect how they speak with others. I do realize that some high elves will have distinct personalities, but the basic, or average, standards for a high elf are what I am asking about.

And a smaller question, will high elves become an independent group almost like the dark elves seem to be becoming?

I guess those are my only questions for now, I may have forgotten something. And I have read the wiki articles on high elves, though I may have forgotten something within at the time of writing this post.))

  5. i don't know. from the live stream it looked like the only two people who did anything sacrificed themselves. everyone else just ran through it.

but what do I know IC. for all I know, those heros went in there and killed everything in sight sweeping across the path cleansing it all of its evil as a solid party of champions, instead of just trying to run for their lives, everyman for himself style, race to be known as the one who single handily destroyed the nether realm.

Ya, what I said in that post was basically in character epicness moment kindof thing. And from what I saw, you're right, not many people seemed to do a lot. There were like 2 or three that made good progress and accomplished something and then there was a large group of people who followed along. Almost everyone died in the process anyways though, not counting the..."practice run."

  6. Well, if we had the players log off during the event and watch the livestream their would be the least amount of lag so that the champions will have a nice, fair fight.

I figured I would do this anyways just to see all of the action.

Don't wanna spoil this one

I knew atleast one of the questions would go unanswered. I'm really curious as to how this will work now.

Oh, and thanks again Native

  7. I was definitely feeling really excited and such for this event and at least watching the live stream. Then I realized that for most of the event I won't even be home, despite no school.

But to stay on topic, I was just wondering, what will be going on outside the nether when the heroes go in. Will everyone else go on with their lives or will there be something to do? Will we be able to make some form of last stand against the undead as well, or possibly be making the journey to Asulon as the heroes risk their lives?

Also, what will the transition from Aegis to Asulon be like? Will it be the event, some normal RP, then on the 14th, the server goes down to switch the worlds and we're all just there, aside from a bit of RP before and after of course.

I don't expect much to be shed on this because of the need for surprise, that and in the 12+ hours it will be until the event, I feel this will go relatively unnoticed. So many questions and so little time...

  8. a.) Be a high elf.

I read something about applying for becoming a high elf? Is there any more info on this? Also, I do plan on rerolling to a high elf at the 2.0 launch or possibly before if I can manage.

Edit: Not intentionally trying to be off topic if this is considered to be so.

  9. Will applying for these high elves work like it's with Mori'cressir? Or will it be the classic app form (which i have casually already written, so I wouldn't have to change it much?))

What is meant here by applying? Will you have to apply to be a high elf, or is he/she refering to the magic portion?

Also, is there a forum about high elves with a decently constant stream of updates, because it was said on this thread that things would be revealed the next day, and I am curious where this info is. Aside from the wiki of course, which I've read, and consists of awesome lore. Good job guys and girls.

Edit: Just found a post stating that you have to apply for being a dark elf. The details were rather hazy, so I'm not sure if it meant the native Dark Elves or just the subrace in general.

Though, if you have to apply to be 2 out of the 3 subraces, we'll have a lot of wood elves. This alone kind of leads me to believe it will be special groups and such of said subrace.

  10. Anyone with a certain item may enter the nether,

We're giving the players a free restart if they so wish, otherwise you will just /register your old characters info and continue on as your old character. We're traveling to this world together, there's definitely RP to it! you'll see!

Alright sounds good in terms of the restart.

And for the nether item thing. I caught that part. I was assuming that if you didn't get into the nether, there was still SOMETHING to do rather than average RP. As in "event-wise."

Just poor wording on my part.

    Edit: Btw, thanks Native :D

  11. This sounds awesome. I'm just going to assume that if there are people chosen specifically for the event, it will probably only be for a portion, I doubt that the staff would prevent any participation from everyone, the selected just get more...privileged stuff to do.

Too bad this char of mine is completely unknown by EVERYONE, except maybe if someone somehow remembers me (I doubt it). The fame is for my new char in 2.0.

Just a quick question, I can't seem to find the answer to. (Maybe I'm just dumb.) But, will the /register info and such be reset for Aegis 2.0 release or will people have to reroll or whatever?

Edit: Also just realized that I've been lucky enough to have no school Friday :D Glad because otherwise I would've been in school an hour after the event started and gotten home another hour after that.

  12. Minecraft Name: XWolfSpearX

    RP Name: Naelron Laethil

Your time Zone: PST (GMT -7 I think)

Sword skill level: 0 (Skills aren’t on I don’t believe)

    Archery skill level: 0

Why do you want to join? I have a very protective personality due to the horrors of the undead attacks I have witnessed. I tried to get stronger to help protect all of the people of Aegis, but I had troubles keeping myself stable, let alone protecting others. I came to the realization that to get a good “foothold” in Aegis, I needed to start smaller. As such, I have decided to apply for the Wardens to protect the elves from the vicious undead and any other terrors of Aegis.

Which Guard you will want to be in: I would like to join the swordsmen guard, known as the Eternal Guard, but I can join the archery guard, known as the Glade Guard if need be, for I am proficient with both weapons. (I do realize that I would start as an initiate, I just couldn’t think of a clear way to put this without examples.)

  13. *You find a note posted in the guild house*

My faith in Aeriel has been declining for a long while now, I am afraid. I recently came to the conclusion that I could better serve the people of Aegis if I was no longer tied into believing in Aeriel. I have had my doubts for a while now, and I am afraid this is goodbye, I will be leaving the Followers of Aeriel in hopes to find someway to better help the people of Aegis. I hope to see you all around.

    Sincerely,

    Naelron Laethil

  14. Well, now with Blaedr and the sages departure, we have all the more reason to keep this group going. We have to do it not only to spread the word of Aeriel, but also for the Sages, and especially Blaedr. We cannot let all of their hard work go to waste. I myself am a terrible leader, at least in my opinion, but someone must take charge and we must keep the Followers of Aeriel alive.

    For Blaedr!

  15. Wow, it is truly sad to see you guys go. I just returned to the server because of severe technical difficulties and came back to have a good time roleplaying only to just now read this. I understand your reasoning, and honestly, I completely agree. Most of you guys probably have no clue who I am, so I doubt keeping in touch is even a possible option. The closest thing I can do to keep updated on you guys would be Candle's Channel on Youtube, assuming it is continued. Sad to see you guys go, I truly wish I could have met you guys. Well, have fun in other places I guess. There's never a truly easy way to say goodbye...

  16. Ah, good to see all of you Followers of Aeriel again. I have just returned from a long pilgrimage. (Had some...technical difficulties leading up to the long process of getting money for and purchasing a new computer.) I cannot wait to see all of you again and to meet some new faces. If it isn't too much hassle, would anyone be able to fill me in on what's happened since...around the destruction of the undead keep after the cake party? I would appreciate it, and no need to go into detail, just the large events and changes within the Followers of Aeriel and Aegis as a whole. Thanks!
