  1. Skein chews his lip pensively, as he returns home after hearing the news. "Might have to go see for myself."

Blundermore, you've been the most consistent font of absolute ******* idiocy I've seen in my 6 years on the server. Congratulations on reaffirming that title again here today.

As for the post in general, yeah Telanir for sure needs to go, he's been incompetent at best, and a downright egotistical parasite to the server at worst. I haven't seen much from Beast, so I'll reserve judgement, but I can at the very least say I've liked 501Warhead generally from what I've seen of his tenure.

We've had a history of bad staff on this server though, Serenity, Cappy, yourself Tsuyose. I don't see the next guys being much better if these are ousted.

  3. While nice in theory, won't work. I would still like to see significantly more staff justification and accountability for their decisions in future though, it's sorely lacking.

Edit: There is also a sort of inequality currently in how staff can act (punitively, making changes, etc.) without publishing anything, while then the players need to compose public responses to appeal. This needs to be addressed. If players are required to be transparent, the same should apply to the staff.

  4. Lambard spits on the cobbles before his tattered boots. "I see no bravery in this act, just vanity. The tyrant salts the earth, denying his few loyal subjects any hope of returning to their homes. We are left with an eternal monument to the tyrant's tantrum. It would be best to strike his name from the annals of history, so nobody finds vile inspiration in this folly, and that such futile destruction is never repeated."

I feel like if the MAJORITY of the players from a region support you— that's sufficient. If you're not the majority-leader, then you're raiding.

There's considerable grey-area there, unless someone goes around polling all the members of a region. Especially given the side-switching likely to occur in such events.

Well, I have an opinion, it's just a mild one, so when encouraged to vote I will. However, I think knowing the number of people who think this isn't important one way or another is also valuable.

It's clear how this poll is going to go regardless.

Most people who don't care either way wouldn't look into a thread entitled "combat poll 1.9 v 1.8 please vote" in the first place, all it would tell us is how many special snowflakes there are.

You probably should have added a don't care option or something like that. I suspect a number of us (myself included) don't really care one way or another. Not sure if they'd be more likely to vote 1.9 or 1.8 if they don't care, but it would probably give more accurate data for the split of people who actually have a strong opinion.

You don't vote if you don't care. What's so hard about that?

If people want to complain about someone, then I'm the one to be complaining about. I'm the one that rushed this decision and didn't leave it to people who should've, which I deeply regret doing now. I apologise for causing all of this, solely by myself.

  9. New players/personas spawn at the actual temple on top of an unaccessible mountain, in a safe zone. They get their info up there and when ready take a teleporter next to an NPC of their race and appear in their capital.

Upon dying, players get ported to a smaller temple at the base of the mountain, which is safe on the interior but cannot be entered, only exited (either through locked door and pressure plates or a 2-block drop). Outside this smaller temple should be the server's fast-travel hub/monk shops etc.

Probably been said before, but I didn't feel like reading through 5 pages, so sorry if it's similar to anyone else's proposal.

  10. You decided to use a forum thread as the medium for your egotistical meltdown? Boy that'll be awkward when you're spotted on the server again in like a month.

  12. Wirresth thumbs his lip, finding the peace more discomforting than war itself. "I do not trust this peace, why do these dastardly Mali'ame suddenly agree to a peace they spat on the concept of before? They have some vile act in plan, oem can only assume." he announces to an empty room.

"Still, perhaps they will learn from our generosity and amend their wicked ways."  with that, he returns to his seat to finish penning an overdue journal entry on the last battle.
