Ivrae has the maturity and responsibility both in character and out of character that would be expected of a GM.

She shows this in character with her compassion and respect as the Queen of Aegis, helping to ensure that Oren is constantly flourishing and that the voices of those who call Oren their home are heard.

Out of character, Ivrae is extremely responsible in helping build the bridge between what the staff of Lord of the Craft know and what the players know and want to hear (with exceptions of some secrets of course). Ivrae is helping to keep the players involved, letting them know what the future plans are for Oren as well as showing them she trusts and respects them enough to allow players to voice their opinions freely. She is constantly finding ways to help improve both Oren and Aegis without expecting a single word of thanks or praise.

Ivrae is a selfless Queen, a selfless player, and a selfless person always looking out for the well being of the Kingdom, Server, her loyal subjects and even those who dn't even know who she is. Overall, +1 for Ivrae on becoming our next GM, and let's face it... we need another female staff ;)

i am very disappointed in almost all of you, nobody showed up, and one had a valid reason, one was an idiot amd cant apply anymore. i really want you guys to check this forum, it says in the rules BE ACTIVE and you guys arent if you are to lazy to even show up or say that you cant be there. the next training will be somewhere next weekend, if you are not there with an valid reason you apps are all denied and you cant apply again.

Excuse me? I find this quite rude. First, I would expect the head of the Elven Royal Guards to express themselves in a much more mature and poetic fashion than this. Your grammar is just terrible. I was accepted and talked personally to the High Princess of Malinor. Unfortunately when I was given my title by her in character I had to go to work but I returned later that evening. We chatted ooc and ic: I asked her my duties and if there would be any training. She mentioned my skills and loyalty seemed fine and I did not need training but I insisted because I have no knowledge of what type of duties entail of being a Royal Elven Guard (obviously guarding the royal family, but curious of what we do: i.e. just follow the family around? etc.?).

Not to mention immediately after being accepted on the forums I send my crow with a letter to Jon0 (sent him a tell in game about being accepted) I sent him many over a 30 minute period, I received no reply. You said yourself that you will not be very active yet you criticize those who you have accepted/recruited on being inactive? No offense but I was accepted and was never told there would be an official meeting or that there would be something that would be taking place to train all of the accepted applicants. I've tried contacting YOU personally in character (through tells) over the last two days in which I have been on approx 8-10 hours, never once seeing you online (though this may be because of time zone differences).

Not only do I feel completely disrespected by your words, I also find myself a bit over qualified from the looks of the applicants you have accepted. I was a bit more interested in joining a group which would involve highly skilled elves in the way of the sword. Not to mention you contradict yourself in your message by saying "- you must be an elf to be able to join us, any other race will be insta-denied" and now looking back I see you immediately accepted other races as part of what is supposed to be a formation of a group of Guards dedicated to protecting the Elven Royal Family.

Still lookin for gold. I check the 4 major capitals, and of the people I _DO_ see, none of them know anything about gold. I decorated my room with some ore a while back, but now I need 50 mining to remove it, so that isn't even an option.

You're supposed to be able to remove player placed blocks without needing to level up, according to Vaq. Send in a modreq if you need the blocks you've placed dug up. I have no intention of leveling mining as an elf, I plan to purchase my ingots from dwarves as the skills system incorporates more roleplay/trading. If I were to have to get my skill in mining up just to tear down some gold blocks/glowstone dust from a shop/home I am selling that seems a bit out of roleplay to do so.

Side Note: Weefree is an honest merchant, best deals around, he's constantly in supply of iron/gold :)

other high skills: 23 mining, 20 farming and 10 lumberjack. I have no use for blacksmithing as an elf as I plan to barter trades with the dwarves for such services.

previous experience: Used to be an Oren Guard, quit do to obvious reasons, lack of pay, lack of leadership but still managed to hold my own against criminals.

why do you want to join: I'm looking for a respectable job that will utilize my skills in swordsmanship and eventually archery. I am also interested in protecting the well being of our Royal Family to ensure peace and prosperity for the future of Laurelin.

do you swear to protect all the princes and princesses with your life no matter what happens?: Of course. Honor is fighting for a just cause and dying to defend something/someone you believe in. I am willing to jump in front of a horde of criminals if it allows the High Prince and Princess time to escape, even if it means my life. A violent resolution is almost always avoidable if you be respectful and kind, however if violence is necessary I don't mind unsheathing my sword for petty assassination attempts (I don't really care if I lose armor, it's pixels and I have plenty of minas to buy more)

I login this morning after purchasing 3 full diamond sets. Placed them in my chest for storage last night and of course they are roll backed to being completely gone. I know many players have lost buildings they've spent hours on, players who have spent weeks gathering minas to purchase some items only to have them roll backed I can't remember this happening before at this frequency or magnitude a month ago.

Just an example of the fact there are rollbacks, they do occur, and it's gotten to the point where you pray every time you log out not to lose your items :3

We are currently unaware of any rollback issues that occur. There have been a major decrease in the amounts of chest wipes so LWC was definitely a factor. However, some wipes may occur because of bukkit itself.

As for rollbacks, we are quite sure they do not happen, if they do happen it's because of a major crash that has occured in Minecraft that we can not truly fix. We've spent many weeks testing plugins to find out the reasons for some older crashes such as MCMMO which we have fixed. Until now the crashes seem with Minecraft not being able to deal with the amount of players we have in the game doing the amount of things they are doing. These crashes are harmless, we simply give it a nice restarting boost and things go back to normal.

Thank you for addressing my concern. This is exactly what I was afraid of however. I was afraid that you and perhaps other GM's weren't aware of the number of rollbacks that occur on a daily basis. I've heard so much hype about "skills is awesome be ready!" and "Magic is going to be revolutionize this server!" but I really want to hear about any type of action plan that is going to be/could be taken against these rollbacks. I just wanted to make sure you and the rest of the GM's are aware of the number of rollbacks that have occurred (more frequently over the last couple weeks). At least 2-3 rollbacks on average per day with an estimated average of 1 major rollback of 1-3+ hours of work,inventory,chests, completely gone. We discussed this in ooc last night just a fair bit with the GM Tristen. Both of you seem to have come to the same conclusion that minecraft just can't handle the number of players on the server with all the things that this server is doing (Not that that's a bad thing :P this server is like discovering cancer while planning to start a colony on mars in terms of how much this server is pushing the limits of minecraft). When I joined about 4-5 weeks ago, there were either no rollbacks period, or one in a blue moon. Of course the number of players since then has escalated very nicely perhaps a reduction in the player cap to maybe 180-199 would have some effect on the magnitude and number of rollbacks. I admit, the rollbacks were at first a laughing matter "haha 3 hour rollback it's cool we'll deal with it" but it's gone from a "I hope there isn't/aren't any rollback(s) today" to... "I hope I'm not online when the rollback(s) happen". Again, this is more of an informative/hopeful post to make sure the right people know what's up.

To stay on topic:

I'm very glad that there is going to be more development in the main storyline! There have been many a lot of battles, deaths, crownings, etc. Definitely good to help some of the new players keep up with what's going on on the server in real time.

Looks Great, but I would like to ask if there is any plan in the future to deal with the rollbacks that occur on average twice a day. Some only a minor 5 minutes, others rolling back a morning's work of building,mining,organizing items, gathering supplies, etc.

Again, not to steer too far off topic I'm glad to see the server pushing forward, it definitely looks like LoC is pushing the limits of Minecraft, again. :D However, I'd really REALLY like to see these rollbacks disappear. I also believe someone mentioned their chests being wiped again, after having items in them for weeks so I'm not too sure lwc was the issue with chests being wiped.

Perhaps there could be a way to allow the protection to work the same as lockette only without the use of signs. Just a suggestion, no idea how the coding would be :)
