  1.

    A man dressed in humble robes clenches a book in his hands, prophetically reciting the words;

"In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful"

“This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous!”

“Those who believe in the unseen, and perform the prayers, and give from what We have provided for them.”

“And those who believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you, and are certain of the Hereafter.”

“These are upon guidance from their Lord. These are the successful.”

“As for those who disbelieve—it is the same for them, whether you have warned them, or have not warned them—they do not believe.”

“God has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. They will have a severe torment.”

“Among the people are those who say, “We believe in God and in the Last Day,” but they are not believers.”

“They seek to deceive God and those who believe, but they deceive none but themselves, though they are not aware.”

“In their hearts is sickness, and God has increased their sickness. They will have a painful punishment because of their denial.”

“And when it is said to them, “Do not make trouble on earth,” they say, “We are only reformers.”

“In fact, they are the troublemakers, but they are not aware.”

“And when it is said to them, “Believe as the people have believed,” they say, “Shall we believe as the fools have believed?” In fact, it is they who are the fools, but they do not know.”

“And when they come across those who believe, they say, “We believe”; but when they are alone with their devils, they say, “We are with you; we were only ridiculing.”

“It is God who ridicules them, and leaves them bewildered in their transgression.”

“Those are they who have bartered error for guidance; but their trade does not profit them, and they are not guided.”

“Their likeness is that of a person who kindled a fire; when it illuminated all around him, God took away their light, and left them in darkness, unable to see.”

“Deaf, dumb, blind. They will not return.”

“Or like a cloudburst from the sky, in which is darkness, and thunder, and lightning. They press their fingers into their ears from the thunderbolts, in fear of death. But God surrounds the disbelievers.”

“The lightning almost snatches their sight away. Whenever it illuminates for them, they walk in it; but when it grows dark over them, they stand still. Had God willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. God is capable of everything.”

“O people! Worship your Lord who created you and those before you, that you may attain piety.”

“He who made the earth a habitat for you, and the sky a structure, and sends water down from the sky, and brings out fruits thereby, as a sustenance for you. Therefore, do not assign rivals to God while you know.”

“And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like these, and call your witnesses apart from God, if you are truthful.”

“But if you do not—and you will not—then beware the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.”

“And give good news to those who believe and do righteous deeds; that they will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with fruit therefrom as sustenance, they will say, “This is what we were provided with before,” and they will be given the like of it. And they will have pure spouses therein, and they will abide therein forever.”

“God does not shy away from making an example of a gnat, or something above it. As for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, “What did God intend by this example?” He leads astray many thereby, and He guides many thereby; but He misleads thereby only the evildoers.”

“Those who violate God’s covenant after its confirmation, and sever what God has commanded to be joined, and commit evil on earth. These are the losers.”

“How can you deny God, when you were dead and He gave you life, then He will put you to death, then He will bring you to life, then to Him you will be returned?”

“It is He who created for you everything on earth, then turned to the heaven, and made them seven heavens. And He is aware of all things.“

“When your Lord said to the angels, “I am placing a successor on earth.” They said, “Will You place in it someone who will cause corruption in it and shed blood, while we declare Your praises and sanctify You?” He said, “I know what you do not know.”

  2. The FoA is hardly an army anyways, as far as I can tell they have three members. Also Oriheme, we do not have 30+ Ascended, we have about thirteen I believe, and a few of them are not even affiliated with the Enlightened right now.

I was captured after returning from a GM event by them because I happened to be near the ruins. There were at least 8 involved in my capture, so clearly there is more then 3.

As for the "30+", it may be an exageration, yet it was a number given to me by other Ascended, I didn't come up with it myself. The GMs are unhappy with how the Ascended went on a rampant recruiting spree. Garn himself even asked me how many Undead I have that are static players, and we were both shocked at the difference in the amount of Undead/Ascended there was.

I honestly do not see what the problem is with the reasoning of an "evil version of the FoA". The FoA/UAC/etc. has been around for as long as I can remember it and were always involved in fights such as Snowy Fields and Alstion. Is there really a problem with us wanting to have something too? Does the server enjoy the lack of events that happen that much that they're willing to turn away an amazing RP opportunity just because 'nah screw the Undead they don't get no army'?

Just the other day, one person ran up to three Undead, myself included, and 2-3 Shotted each of us with a stone/iron sword and we could do nothing about it. He ran through 75 Spawned monsters and slayed 3 people in a matter of seconds. Does that really seem realistic to you? For one person to slay 3 "otherworldly beings with immense power" with some sharp stone? All I see whenever the Undead attempt to do something new, exciting, and honestly just trying to balence us out, is complaints and people going on the defensive. As if we got anything we wanted, or anything that might help us, its "OMG OP". Well, to us StoneSwords and Sprinting are OP.

  3. Garn, I am in no way attempting to attack you or the other Ascended. It's quite the opposite, I'd rather be able to work alongside you and make some fun events for the server.

As to Alpha's idea, this was the actual idea of the MoI (I ask about their APP status numerous times in the template). Being that numerous people with AV's will have experience with these people, they can toss their input into their apps, whether good or bad.

  4. The ascended cannot wear gold. Only the sages and they are gone. As far as ascended adding any schmucks that is being taken care of and the ones that did that are gone. The current undead only have 3 good rpers at best as well.

The gold armor would be for the FoA, not the ascended while our MoI wore Chainmail. Once again, for determining whose on what side, visually appealing, etc.

The number issue still doesn't change the fact that you have a large army. We have nothing.

And I disagree with you on the number of good rpers. Off hand I can think of several. Not all are steallar, some better then others, but the same can be said with the Ascended. Can only hope being exposed to healthy and rich RP will allow for people to pick up on it and work on their own.

  5. The problem I see is expecting the FoA to wear Golden Armor. Golden armor is expensive, and does not last long. Chainmail, on the other hand, is easy to obtain.

Obviously that was taken into consideration, however after speaking to some of the FoA and Ascended, they felt that gold was actually in surplus on the server.

Its also, obviously not into the works yet and can easily be substituted for something else, iron would be fine. Was going symbolically for both sides with the armor colors :)

I wouldn't have a problem either if the "team colors" were only used during large rp-scale events, where perhaps items could be spawned in advance for cinematic effect. Then simply tossed or saved for later events. This is all about getting more RP going on between the Undead, Aegis, and Ascended since theres been a severe lack of it imo.

  6. Yeah, not to be a stick in the mud, but I find it absurd that minions working directly with the Undead and their supporters in service to Iblees, working towards the total destruction of Aegis, would not require an approved Villain Application, yet for an orc to do so much as loot from the wilderness he is required to wait the month or so for an approved Villain Application. Is this "No Villain Application" policy being endorsed by GMs? If so, this is bogus.

Well Mr Stick in the Mud, please explain to me how its right that the Undead are required to go through jumps and tricks to get a few people for an army, while the Ascended and FoA take any shmuck that knocks on their door? Where's their GoodyTooShoes App requirement? While the Ascended have an endless supply of people to pick from, we are limited by numerous requirements, one being a villain app, even while villain apps were not being done for weeks. Why do you think the Undead did NOTHING for so long?

Your simple orc isn't being influenced by outside evil forces to do evil actions. That's his personal choice. These people will not be doing random attacks outside of events without a villain app. I made that crystal clear. Any event that requires a villainous act will have numerous AV people there watching over them and instructing them on what to do and how to do it. Perhaps, letting people who aren't great RP'ers and able to get a villain app, experience rich and wholesome RP for themselves, might make them better RP'ers and able to get those apps. Oh noes, but that'd be a .....good thing!

  7. How can you be related to undead in any way without a villain app? Hanging around them sort of makes you a terrible person purely by association, even if you don't sacrifice highway travelers for Iblees.

Even lesser evil guilds like Dark Brotherhood and Black Hand made villain apps a requirement; undead are supposedly a server-sanctioned faction and you guys accept non-villains.

Same way Teutonic Order is able to do villainous acts without having apps.

This was cleared by numerous GMs and will create numerous RP events as well.

  8. **Lightning strikes a nearby message board in your major city. As you approach you see the notices slowly burn as a piece of dark parchment unravels and pins itself on the board. Shivers run down your spine as dark red ink, well you hope it is ink, begins to form letters on the page.....**

Mortals of Aegis. I, Queen Cassandra, write this message to the shadow that remains in every persons heart. The shadow you wish to hide from the world but secretly ache to let it take over. The suffering you people go through has reached my ears, and I offer you a way out. Let the darkness take control, let it consume your soul, become one with Iblees. Fight for his cause, fight for chaos, fight for destruction, fight to kill. We seek individuals that now realize how weak Aeriel is, being unable to even control her own Ascended, and the gifts Iblees bestows upon those loyal to him.

Those interested in feeling true power, gaining overwhelming wealth, and being one with us, sign your name in blood and begin your journey towards your true destiny!

    Guild Information

The polar opposite to the Followers of Aeriel, the Minions of Iblees seek to corrupt, destroy, and seize control of Aegis. You DO NOT need a Villain/Advanced Villain App to be part of this army, giving all that wish to taste the darker side an opportunity to do so. This is meant to be a secret/underground group that comes together for an event/attack, then disperses into normal citizens of Aegis. You will be basically expected to live two lives, secretly and discretely. The Undead are a secret race, its Army is expected to be the same.

    Guild Rules

    • Follow All Server Rules
    • If you lack a villain app you may only preform evil acts during events
    • You are to use different skins/names when working with the Minions of Iblees then your normal skins.
    • You do NOT run around killing randomly in the name of Iblees or shout that you worship him

    Application Format

Copy this template and complete it as a post on this thread if you're interested in joining.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Brief Character History:

    Minecraft Name:

    In-Game Name:

Basic Villain App? Advanced Villain App?

-If you have neither, are you working towards obtaining one?

-If you have Basic Villain, are you working towards obtaining Advanced?

    Goals in the MoI?

Do you want to become an Undead?

Anything you enjoy particular in Minecraft? (IE: Farming, Mining, Traveling Merchant, Spying, Assassinating, Fishing, etc.)

Answer the following scenarios with a brief response on how you'd handle the situation:

    1) You lack a villain application but see an old man walking down the road with a hefty satchel. He appears to be an easy mark, and no one seems to be around to see you. What do you do?

    2) You and several other minions are found by a righteous group while walking around in town as normal citizens. They accuse you of being evil and wish for you to give them information. What do you do?

    3) You lack a villain application but an Undead has taken you to a location to commit evil acts. The order is given to slay numerous people in a town. What do you do?

    ----------------------------------------------------------

  9. I am glad I chose to stay in the bakery with the others. It was really well planned.

(except your attempt to blow a hole in the glass and fly through... I laughed watching your futile attempts to escape before giving up and floating out the door)

haha SHHHHHHH first time ever flying, i had like a 2min crash course before the event started lol

  10. There's a reason why a minion army, up to this point, ha snot worked for the Undead, while the FoA (Ascended Minions/Army) has worked. Its the villian app and the rep people get by being in it. Requiring the villian app allows people to do evil acts on their own accord, meaning while they're out and about town, they can be evil without any word from us. Their evil acts may be random, rped poorly, they become meta targets, and generally bring everyone a bad name and bad attention that comes with their actions. The villian apps also SEVERLY limit the amount of people that we can pick, as not everyone can just be with us, technically. Meaning we have to choose from (example) group of 50 people. Sort through the people that we know cause problems, people that bicker and fight with each other, people that have bickered and fought with us, and people that aren't insane IRL. That's only part of what would need to be looked for, outside of RP skills, timezones, what they have to offer, they're background, etc. Any random bum on the street can walk up to an Ascended and express their interest in joining the FoA, they don't require a "GoodyTwoShoes App" to be able to help them.

If we wanted an Undead army to work a few things would need to be implemented. The villian app process severly needs to be reworked, which I have been told it will be for 2.0 but does not help us here. Similar to the tutonic(sp?) order, they have 1 or 2 leaders that have Adv Villian apps that order/control a group of people that do not have apps. This method has been approved by GMs and we could and should utilize this for ourselves. However, that entails the most important part of this, no evil acts unless ordered to. Undead do not randomly kill people, if they're decent undead. Planning, RPing and making storyline is part of our job, and having an army that recklessly undoes the work we do is pointless.

I am for a Minion Army, but not until I have a chance to sit down and figure out placement, leadership, how it'll be run and controlled. And I won't have time for that until this Meta'd Invasion this weekend. Running into a city and screaming "Hey come join the undead, everyone who wants to be a minion, this way!" Was simply retarded and i hope the people that did it now see this.

(bell rung I have more to say on other stuff but yea, bbl!)

  11. ((*Facepalm* Oh man, jokes just don't even exist anymore. It's the joke of powergaming at her post because you know, she can't just do that. People need to not just skim the surface of things.))

(( Its cute and silly how my "powergaming" post is being torn apart, when all it is is a post. I burn Laurelin to the ground, destroy Dwarven farms, decimate Sanhar's housing district, but, BUT, apparently I can't burn some pieces of paper. Because fireballs and lightning don't burn and destroy things. Excuse me for trying to make a dramatic entrance and exit, one that wasn't aimed at destroying but putting fear into the heart of the person that thought it was a good idea for this treaty.

Hiebe my love, I never attempted to attack the Dwarven city nor get past the gates. As it was said, it was a mere attack on the farm land, one that was approved by GMs and Algrim. If I wanted to get past your gatehouse, I merely have to walk in and I'm in the throne room, like many times I have done before to talk to Algrim because I was bored.

PS: Free periods are boring >:o ))

  12. *Thunder is heard in the distance as dark clouds quickly roll over Al'Khazar's skies. A single bolt of lightning crashes to the ground, singing the pavement and homes near its point. From the fire the evil queen emerges, walking through the town as these notes flutter on the ground. The ground itself trembles with each step, the foundations of homes nearby begin to shutter and crack. Birds quickly fly off the houses into the distance while animals that remain chained to the ground swiftly duck into dark alleyways hoping to find protection. As she walks, every little note that flutters by her, like a moth to a flame, ignites and slowly burns, falling to the ground in a dusting of ash that is swept away by the light breeze. Approaching the center of town, a bulletin board with several copies of the note is found. With a wave of her hand the board explodes into a shower of firey splinters. Larger planks fall from the sky, hitting the roofs of homes and shops, lighting the roofs on fire. Without moving her mouth from the sinister grin that remains plastered on her face, her voice echoes throughout the city.*

There will be no treaty. There will be no peace. This land is tainted with its hopes, dreams, and aspirations. It must be cleansed, cleansed of these revolting things and remade. Remade in the image of perfection, power, and death. Nothing will stand in our way, not one soldier, not the armies of Aegis' nations, not Aeriel, and especially not some lowly messenger that thinks he has the authority to create such an idea. Nothing will stand in my way.

*A ring of fire bursts from the evil queen, destroying multiple houses while others slowly burn and fall apart. Maniacal laughter is heard in the sky as the dark clouds slowly disperse and the sun comes out of hiding*

  13. As the light on the horizon fades with the departure of the sages, a shadow creeps across the lands of Aegis. Screams and groans are heard past city gates, shadows from alleyways grab at people as they hurry to their homes. Dark lightning flashes in the sky, illuminating the silhouettes of fiends and corpses walking and slithering across the ground. A loud crack of thunder, a flash of red light, silence. As if time itself stopped, the air sits heavy and still. Your head fills with a loud pounding, your heart racing in your chest as you await the familiar sounds of the night. You jump with fright and cover your ears as a shrilling, maniacal laugh echoes across Aegis.

    The Evil Queen has arrived.

  14. Wow, going to bed I had only just heard of Arcadius' resignation, but I didn't expect all of this. I understand where you fellows are coming from, being Undead and all, about the lack of appreciation. Both races have given so much of their time and ability to play like a normal player to make the community better, yet we're severely under appreciated. I do agree that removal of the races is a cop-out, and the statements that "we've tried everything to fix it" is just an excuse.

I've only had the chance to interact with some of you, and mostly OOC, but they have always been pleasant and fun. From Super Sue showering me with cakes or Blaedr tirelessly building Casandraland along side me, as I soak in the sun and sip lemonade of course.

IC Though you know my response is " MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

OOC tho my response is " :( "

  15. The inside of the mountains walls, floor, and roof is uneven. Its a mixture of dirt, gravel, and stone that needs to be mined/dug up. I'm trying to get the mountain as hollow and even as possible, IE: If you were to remove one dirt block, you'd punch a hole through to the surface. (Maximizing space)

The inside of the mountain will be shopping/industrial district (Slums). Cheap apartment housing up on the walls while the mine, smith, farms, pastures, bakery, market is on the ground. A walkway needs to be created overhead, connecting the path through the waterfall to the opposite side, above everything on the ground (An overhead walkway).

I REALLY want at least the inside done so I can concentrate on making the outside nicer with the upscale district. If your interested in making nice houses though, your more then welcome to come work on them as well. With the inside done tho, people can start coming to live with a city environment being finished.

Once again all materials are provided, any you want to bring I'll gladly buy. Food is provided.

Directions: Leave Al'Khazar's north gate, heading towards Snowy Fields/Crimson Vale. Walk past Crimson Vale, you'll come to the "Great Wall of Oren" where you'll turn right. From that point, just hug the coast line, you'll pass a small graveyard but you'll see it on the left. (Cords are on OP)

Pay: Anything you work on thats worthy of money, I'll pay you double what I normally would. I'm not frugal with money. IE: Someone built a two-story house, I gave him 5k. IE: I has someone complete the inner walkway of my wall, simple but mundane task, he earned 15k.

  16. Any Work Done This Weekend Earns DOUBLE Pay!

-Tired of people coming and staying for twenty minutes, building an unoriginal box, afking, mining, an then expect to be paid. You do nice work, you get paid nicely, that simple.

Materials & Food provided, Cords on first post.
