  1. I apologize for the lack of indentation. As I know of writing rules, there should be indents where there are not. I am inept at posting such detailed posts on forums, but I made it as readable as possible. The new bio is rather long and slightly unorthodox I'm afraid, but I hope this isn't denied solely because of length (which, as I recall, is desired amoung applications) Again, if the image fails to work, just tell me in a reply, then I shall post a link to a website where I uploaded my skin (I am reluctant to post my skins around for public use though <_< .

    So’Tharoraht

    Character Skillset:

(For lack of any notable skillset in-game, here's an alternative)

So’Tharoraht has no love for combat, but when given the chance he’ll favor a blade. He does have exceptional accuracy with a bow, but his shots lack the needed power. Whatever So’Tharoraht lacks in combat, he makes up with his ability to put himself in the psychological power-seat. So’Tharoraht uses intimidation, fear-tactics, wit, and guile to fight his battles.

    Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender):

    Age: 20

    Subrace: Kha’Pantera

    Gender: Male

    Height: about 6’10

Disabilities: None (Unless you count his strange behavior as one)

Other: So’Tharoraht’s eyes are a bright blue, and while they appear pupil-less, he can see just as well as any of his Kharajyr brethren. So’Tharoraht also holds numerous scars, all from fighting off creatures who sought to disturb him (see bio).

    Personality:

As described earlier, So’Tharoraht uses psychological tactics and tools to get his will accomplished. As a rule, So’Tharoraht has mastered self-control in order to effectively utilize his strategy. So’Tharoraht stays deathly calm in almost any situation, and can be described as an emotionless shell. He can be cruel and cold, as being in perfect control allows for the utmost rational answer. Of course, since So’Tharoraht does desire control, his decision may only apply to whatever benefits himself.

Please include a short bio of your character's life:

Foreword: Slight apologies, but, I’m afraid the story before the summary of his life is necessary. In order for one to understand So’Tharoraht’s habits, one must know how said habits materialized in his life. I dare to say that I’m quite doubtful that any KAT member would find it even a mite sensible without it.

Setting (in case one skims a bit):

    Location: A generic Kharajyr village

    Mood: Party ( )

    Character age: 17

Brief story (trust me, it’s much shorter than I’d like):

It all started with an elf, a book, and full moon. Kharajyr music rang throughout the swirl of fur and jeers. It was a party, for something that So’Tharoraht was too drunk (and too full of sugar) to recall. So’Tharoraht lived a modest Kharajyr life, even though he had been self-sufficient for well over a year now. He had parents, although he only had a few flashes of memory here and there, nothing more. He was, unfortunately, an abandoned cub, forced to scrape his living peddling and sometimes less honest means. He sold the odd item and animal pelt to passerby, and took refuge in the trees more often than he’d hoped. At age seventeen, So’Tharoraht’s life was about to change drastically.

As the Kharajyr danced, So’Tharoraht thought it good to sit awhile to shake off the dizziness. After a minute or two, he decided to check on his cart that was a little ways down the path. As he stumbled down the road, he noticed wheel marks in the mud. So’Tharoraht swore under his breath.

“Oh well,” So’Tharoraht said to himself, “I only had three minas anyway…” So’Tharoraht continued a little more down the path, in a drunken thought that perchance the cart fell over and was abandoned. Quickly realizing that the cart was lost, So’Tharoraht turned to go back, until… he noticed a glimmer atop a hill.

Might be something I could sell, So’Tharoraht thought in a vain effort to preserve some worth about him. As he got closer to the shimmering object, it began to take shape.

“It’s a body,” said So’Tharoraht with a slight bit of shock. The shimmer was not the body, but rather its belt buckle, reflecting the pale light of the full moon. So’Tharoraht noticed that body did not belong to that of a Kharajyr, but that of an elf, wearing a pitch-black cloak. Along with the cloak was a white-trim, and a massive hat which held a gleaming, gilded feather.

An elf? So’Tharoraht thought with amazement, What’s an elf doing lying dead this far inland? He knew how to distinguish elves from normal apes from Kharajyr experienced with the ape's land, that of which he came across whilst peddling. So’Tharoraht searched the body of anything of value, but not without noticing that the body was not harmed in any way. No blood, no bruises, no look of sickness or starvation. There may have been even a bit of warmth left in his flesh. So’Tharoraht thought this odd, for obvious reasons, but nevertheless continued searching the body.

“Two hundred minas, a gold ring and an iron sword.” said So’Tharoraht as he took inventory of his findings, with slight purring in the back of his throat, for his reasonable gain. So’Tharoraht also found a couple of odd bits of string and cloth, but nothing more. He decided to finally get back to the party when he tripped on something soft. Audibly cursing, So’Tharoraht looked for whatever made him meet the earth. A leather-bound tome with a bright silver moon attached to the cover. For reasons unknown, So’Tharoraht decided to keep the book, and set up camp for the night. Even though he figure he may not even be able to read the book if its in elfish, he may as well sell it. Nevertheless, on the top of a massive tree, So’Tharoraht lay, fascinated with the books contents. The Findings of the Black Rose was written on the inside with perfect handwriting, in various languages, including his native language and basic ape, which he picked up again from wandering Kharajyr.

So’Tharoraht poured over its content throughout many nights. It contained an ominous record of the studies of the elf that So’Tharoraht found lying dead in the brush. Theories on the moon, sanity, psychology, and a family cursed by vile creatures, were contained within. So’Tharoraht finally found something to go by after living on the road for so long. He became a sort of admirer of this dead elf, and devoted his time to proving his theories.

    In the time that follows:

Three years of gazing upon the moon and restless nights rendered So’Tharoraht’s pupils a bright blue, with pupils that are barely visible under normal circumstances. Of course, such excursions weren’t without vulnerability. The horrid moaning creatures of the night once thought it smart to attack the gazing Kha’Pantera. They were reduced to their former corpse status, but years of this left their scars upon So’Tharoraht.

Now we have him as he is now: age twenty, emotionless, and under normal circumstance can be described as “trance-like.” Using the knowledge found in the tome, he learned to control outward expression, and use rationale. Unfortunately, this reduced his former self to a mere memory, and any emotion can only be seen in the direst circumstances. So’Tharoraht could never fight with much prowess, save for the fact that Kharajyr strength far outmatches humans, so he used the same techniques he used to change himself to unnerve his opponents and bend their thought to his choice. So’Tharoraht doesn’t think himself a villain, as he would not kill for gain, but he would use someone without violent intention. With both inherent love for Metzli and respect for the Tlatlanni, So’Tharoraht integrates his knowledge with what he and his compatriots see in conformity.

    Character's ambitions:

So’Tharoraht’s ambitions include: writing (poetry, which came with his previous business [i write verse IRL]), using his knowledge to one day affect a major event or occurrence (such as, for example, a major political decision like a change in governmental leadership[not like it will come to that anytime soon]), and to perhaps ascend to a position of importance.

    _---Situational Rp Questions---_

    1.

As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?:

So’Tharoraht looks straight into the ape’s eyes, his pale-blue orbs not once breaking contact.

“You realize I’ve been watching you the entire time, ape,” said So’Tharoraht, obviously with intent to make the human fearful, “I, or any other of my kind could have killed you without so much as a care, yes?”

“P-please! D-don’t be hasty!” stammered the obviously frightened ape as its eyes grew large with terror at the imposing Kha’Pantera, “I only need food and water. I’ll leave, I’ll leave! But just let me have something to drink!” So’Tharoraht made a gesture towards a hollow in a nearby tree.

“Sleep there for tonight,” said So’Tharoraht as he threw a water-skin and a loaf of bread to the ape, “Then you must leave.”

“Oh! T-thank you kind one!” said the human, grateful for the show of kindness, “I’ll never forg-“

“Then you have exactly two hours after dawn to run as fast as your weak ape-legs can carry you, or your last sight will be of an arrow sticking out of your bald chest,” So’Tharoraht said with eyes still unblinking. The ape stood, gaping after its sentence was cut off by these grim words. So’Tharoraht left it where it stood, heading back to the city. He never had any intent of killing the pathetic ape, and left it to believe its life was still in danger. It’ll be able to run all the faster, So’Tharoraht thought with a throaty purr, probably the Kharajyr equivalent of a chuckle, as he walked back up the path.

    2.

As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak.

"Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!"

He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?:

So’Tharoraht lifted his head and stared at the small creature, and without saying a word, gets up and sits across from the “dwarf-ape.”

“Oi, what d’you thinks you’re doin’?!” yells the ape, “I’m talking t’you flea-bag!” So’Tharoraht still examined the dwarf with his piercing eyes.

“I wonder how you can stand being so short, yes?” said So’Tharoraht, attempting to enrage the small ape. The condescending “dwarf-ape” turned a shade of bright red at this comment, and launched a hairy fist at the Kharajyr. So’Tharoraht easily ducked the clumsy swing, and then grabbed the stout, hairy animal by the collar. The hairy creature dangled off the ground like a helpless kitten at the mercy of its mother.

“Oi! Puts me down!” yelled the ape, still enraged, but now gripped in fear, “I says put me down!”

“You see these scars, short one?” questioned So’Tharoraht pointing to the one across his eye, with a slight growl for effect, “I got these from fighting horrors far worse than you, and I’m not nearly the fiercest of my kind.” With that, So’Tharoraht placed the ape back on the ground. Upon gaining control of his body, the feisty creature sat back down, looking sullen. The ape no longer bothered So’Tharoraht for the rest of the time he remained in the tavern.

My, my, So’Tharoraht thought to himself, Its mood changes too quickly, yes? I’d better be a little bit more subtle next time.

    3.

One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response?

(Of course assuming I know my friend well enough to know his name, I’ll call him: S’Rota)

So’Tharoraht looks at his friend squarely in the face, with an obvious look of disapproval.

“S’Rota,” said So’Tharoraht, “you do realize that you may die for this, do you?”

“Y-yes, but its cake!” defended the friend, “He already ate his share anyway! It was the last slice!”

“I’ll make a suggestion,” said So’Tharoraht with a hint of a smile, “You give me whatever is left of that cake, and you won’t have to die.”

“B-but I-“ stammered S’Rota, before being cut off.

“Come on now,” insisted So’Tharoraht, “either you give me the rest of the cake, or your body will be cast down from the altar.”

“P-please!” begged So’Tharoraht’s friend, “You wouldn’t have me killed! We’ve been friends ever since I moved here!”

“I must honor Metzli, S’Rota.” So’Tharoraht got up to leave when his friend grabbed hold of his cloak.

“I don’t have any more cake!” wept the friend, “Please! I’ll do anything! Just don’t have me killed!”

“Anything you say?” asked So’Tharoraht with a sinister look, “How generous.” The days afterward consisted of S’Rota preforming a number of mundane tasks that would have otherwise encumbered So’Tharoraht. There was a trial, and witnesses brought S’Rota to the stand. He was found guilty, and thus executed. So’Tharoraht never uttered a word, nor had any hand in his friend’s death. Quite a pitiful end to his use, if I do say so myself, yes? thought So’Tharoraht, as he gazed upon the lifeless body of his former friend, whilst washing his paw. I kind of hoped he would survive, oh well.

Notes: The character's abilities may seem a bit powergamish, but do take into mind that all he is doing is anticipating sentient nature, and using that to anticipate how he shouldn't act. All the book has done for him is teach him ways to indirectly/directly alter a being's main point of focus (which is, in fact, very useful). I'm also quite positive that such uses of psychology will only work if the target is a bit more than decent at roleplaying properly. No, he is not an infallible genius, far from it, in fact. So'Tharoraht only uses concepts and knowledge not generally known, so it may turn out to backfire on him, but we'll only know if I develop the character (which is why everything here is written in the first place).

Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred?

I, So’Tharoraht swear to follow the Tlatlanni and to uphold his laws until the final breath of life escapes mine lips, and I swear to hold the most sacred Metzli and her actions as the divinity they are.

  2. Whoops, guess the lore on the wiki tab was a little out-dated. My apologies, I'll get to fixing that ASAP.

"A wrinkle in the folds of dreams

Though it does not shed a beam of light

    How peculiar one holds it

Non-substantial yet we fear the sight

Twists the fate of one's reality

into insanity a single fold hails 'hark!'

Is of our vision clouding to dark"

  4. I'm hoping I can get in before I turn to dust! I've been waiting for ages, not even using MineCraft so I can edit my applications. No matter how much I've explained and explained, the next mod that reviews it doesn't get one certain detail. Then before you know it, I'm adding another three paragraphs to the foreword I included!

Sincere hopes that kindly mod will finally get it,

    Tharor

  5. Out-Of-Character:

    -Minecraft Account Name: Tharor

    -How old are you?: 15

-Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST, or -5 GMT

-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I'd think so, although, all of us make a grammatical of spelling error every once-in-awhile. It's also my fault if I make a fool of myself in-game anyway.

-Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Let's see... I'm in school on weekdays from 7:20AM-4:00PM. THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE HOMEWORK. I have fencing on Mondays, so I will have little to no time to RP then. I do go on occasional vacations (without my laptop), so that's usually the cause if I'm not there besides homework. I do enjoy roleplaying, I really do, it's like a haven after a chaotic day in my life.

-How much time could you be on the server weekly?: On average, erm... probably 20 hours or so, depending on: how much time I had that Monday, homework amount, a test or project or vacations.

-How long have you played minecraft?: Since 1.5 I think.

-What do you know about roleplaying?: How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I love roleplaying, it's definition to me is to make character, then set him free. It's like the character makes his own way through life, and you're the observing specter. My main roleplaying type is fantasy of sci-fi, much like this server.

-What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect to be as exciting the YouTube trailers suggest.

-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Eh, only un-satisfying community servers. I left them because they bored me too easily.

-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: I have agreed to the rules/server law, and I greatly admire the lore and backstory.

-Name the 4 races on this server: The races are as follows: Elf, Human, Orc and Dwarf (and their respective sub-races[Not including Aengul, Daemon, Ascended or Undead. As they are given as in-game bonuses to whom moderators deem worthy]).

-How did you hear about us?: Through the stunning advertisements on YouTube.

-Did you vote?: Of course, I'd love to see LOTC get widespread attention

-What was your favourite Law?: All of them, I think them fair enough.

-What was your least favourite Law?: I can't say I like all of them and have a least favorite now, can I?

-What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Tharor

    In-Character:

("Luneatic" is spin off of "Lunatic." Relating to being insane towards the moon)

    CHARACTER FOREWORD:

    Formatting:

Before you read, understand that "Luneatic" is a term I made, NOT a misspelling, which is what the original reviewer thought. I've never played an eccentric/insane character before, so it'll be a good way that I can locate the extent of my role playing ability. Applications should be reviewed mainly for content and creative ability, not for: grammar, spelling or things irrelevant to role playing(like bracket usage). It's their fault if one looks like a fool because he types something wrong or responds in the incorrect way! Although, it still doesn’t hurt to at least add punctuation.

All the parentheses are used to help you understand details of the character. It’s difficult to get certain details of an eccentric’s personality in first-person perspective, as they usually unique to the world. I’ve seen much more generic and grammar-lacking applications accepted, just look around the applications and you’ll see what I mean (Besides, using parentheses in game is bad RP anyway). Now, the reason I have the insane notion of an Elf-child’s parents abandoning him is because I imply in biography lines 2-3 that the parents must have been “off their rockers” (or could he have been born illegitimately?).

Finally, one moderator wanted me to change the thoughts jumping around excessively in the bio. Understand this, I’m trying to get my character’s eccentric/crazy personality shown the best I can. The bio was written as if he was actually talking to a band of people. Although he is usually quiet, if gotten to talk with enthusiasm, he loses track of what he’s saying and therefore he ends up jumping around his thoughts (so yes, it was INTENTIONAL!). But I admit I may have gone a bit overboard with it.

    In term of application placement:

One moderator suggested I'd apply as a "Special Villain," here is my explanation:

He may appear to be a psycho to some but: Tharor is NOT, will NOT and NEVER will be a "villain." Sorry if you're taking offense to my judgment but, a crazy person is not the same as a messed-up psycho. A crazy or very eccentric person is usually harmless; keeping to themselves and muttering quietly. Psychos are very unstable most of the time, and are also dramatically bipolar.Tharor is more crazy than psychotic, but he isn't lost to the condition.

Tharor if talked to normally will usually respond in monotone, he doesn't really show his emotion when he speaks. His thoughts tend to jump around a lot when he gives long speeches, as stated in the application, but he does respond according to what the other player said. Now if for example, he and another player were standing next to each-other he would probably say "Isn't the moon beautiful tonight?" (even when it's a new moon of course) or if one says "Yeah, beautiful as a rat's arse. *spits*" he of course would be highly offended and may suggest that the other to leave by sword-tip or arrowhead. That doesn't make him a psycho, it just makes him very adamant in his passion.

He isn't a bad person, he has his own thoughts about the world and will fight the good fight, if it has good reason, to the bitter end. If the application had a "favoritism in Ascended or Undead?:" he would say Ascended then in addition: the moon too, if it were possible... *sad face*.

So you see, the reason I didn't already post him in the "special villains" section already was because of him being so unique. If the section were was named "Characters with special conditions" or something similar however, he would have been placed there because he is classified as crazy or very eccentric.(sorry about being so critical)!

    (END OF FOREWORD)

    -Character Name: ("The Lune") Tharor

-What is your Race?: Elf, High-Elf sub race.

-Lordofthecraft.net/forum account: Tharor (non-number names are versatile, no?).

    -Biography:

(Talking to a band of people in a village near Kal'Urguan by torchlight) I was said to be brought up by travelling, and most-likely insane, High-Elves who didn't want their child. Insane because no Elf in the right mind abandons one of the very rare children! Anyway, they supposedly abandoned me in a village square, and when I opened my eyes I saw the full winter moon overhead. A band of nomadic (and maybe a bit crazy) Dark-Elves found me and took me in to raise until old enough to live on my own. They trained me in speech and politics early on, I listened but yet ignored them, my soul was trained upon the moon. I believe the moon as the most beautiful thing in Aegis, earning myself the nickname "The Lune" (A spin-off of Loon). Anyway, my adopted guardians, fifteen years later, thought it was time I started travelling Aegis to give them tales to sing about. I considered it, and eventually decided it would be a good opportunity to know the land. Although, it will be difficult, my love with the moon restricts me to travel at night... When the hellish creatures emerge from their dark dens. I'm elated that you could hear my story, most are asleep at this time.

Back to what I was saying, before I left my guardians gave me a suit that would double as nightclothes, being made of the finest Elven silk. Didn't mean much to them, they lived off the forest and so spent money without hesitation. It shimmers softly in the moonlight (Yes, they took notice of my habits, probably because I wouldn't wake up in the morning) and being made of Elven fabric it will last probably as long as I'll live (probably from my sneaky habits, 1000 odd years). Unlike you it seems, most villages I stay in deem me crazy for my eccentric ways. It’s probably because I lurk on the roofs and treetops, causing a ruckus for building's owners. I stopped here on my way to Kal'Urguan since it is one of the nearest nations to my home. I don't think I'll be returning to my guardians, I'd prefer that I stay alone with the moon until my dying day.

Summary: An Eccentric High-Elf who is adamant on his beliefs on the moon. [Could be a potential threat to certain individuals, if they try to undermine his belief he may get angry. Or potential magnet for followers, if some are also "lune" for the moon. who knows? his story has only just begun!

Summary comment: If his passion is criticized, he wouldn't just attack mind you! That's bad RP! He would say firmly to leave, if he/she didn't comply then a bit rougher. If they didn't leave after that, he'd point his sword intimidatingly at him/her and angrily tell them to leave or "the point of this sword will be bloodied tonight, before the moon."

-Character Age: 15 years old (Incredibly young for an Elf [i know, same age. But, I'll have a good basis for his emotion that way])

-Character Appearance: I'm pale, 6'0 and I wear a suit and matching cap while keeping my face covered by my coat-collar. (I actually genuinely cover my face for fashion, the only thing vaguely Un-Eccentric about me)

-Character Personality: Distant, eccentric. (My nickname among his community "is" [quotations because no one else but me and you {the reader} would know this] "The Lune" Tharor)

-Your ambitions: my current ambition is to travel all of Aegis, and to settle in a secluded open-roofed house or as a traveling merchant or story-teller. To understand why people stare at me funnily... Oh yeah, and to of course go to the moon, although I know it's unrealistic.

-Can your character read or write?: As my guardians had the grand idea of me becoming an Ambassador, they taught me literacy. Now I sometime find myself walking around, reading by moonlight.

-Can your character mine?: NO! I hate being underground! I can't see the sky, hear the birds or feel the wind! But... I guess I have to if I want to visit Kal'Urguan. *shudders*

-Are you a capable builder? My buildings are usually open-roofed for the moonlight, so they aren't desirable among other races. If they replaced the space with glass it may be fashionable. (That is in-character; I can build according to codes if required)

-Can you wield a sword?: Traveling isn't the safest of occupations, so I've been formally trained, but I'm nothing compared to trained military officials. I use the quick light swords (Rapier or Epee [only in RP since the swords are the same model...]) and prefer to jab instead of slice (like fencing).

-Enjoy Farming?: As long as I can see the moon (so NO cave-farming). Also, I enjoy fishing and seafood.

-Does your character have any special skills?: Story-telling somewhat, although I won't get much of an audience because of my habit of sleeping during daylight.

-A screenshot of your skin: I'm not good with the inserting of pictures, so the screenshot is my profile picture (if the attachment didn't show up). If I tried to add the pointy ears (and I wanted too!) it would interfere with my hat, sorry if that displeases you. (High-elves love to refine their elegance with fine clothes, and he's a bit crazy so give his tacky appearance some slack!) Skin Link<- click ("Skin link" links to minershoes)

    Alternative: post-23631-0-96533200-1316828051_thumb.p

-Other Information: I am usually very quiet, and my personality usually hinders relationships. I dyed the suit to be "Moon-like" (which explains the odd colors). I mainly get taken note of because I lurk on the roof-tops to get a better view of the moon (I guess I AM a bit of a "lune")

(WITH ALL DO RESPECT! IF THIS IS DENIED, I WANT A REASON [bECUASE THIS IS THE CHARACTER I SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED AND SKINNED FOR THIS SERVER])

Basically, if I'm denied, my revision WILL feature the same character and skin. Give specifics in your reasons, not just a copy-pasted list. I appreciate your input!

    Thank you for your consideration-

-A screenshot of your skin: I'm not good with the inserting of pictures, so the screenshot is my profile picture (if the attachment didn't show up). If I tried to add the pointy ears (and I wanted too!) it would interfere with my hat, sorry if that displeases you. (High-elves love to refine their elegance with fine clothes, and he's a bit crazy so give his tacky appearance some slack!) Skin Link<- click

  8. This has been edited because of understanding issues with the moderator who originally reviewed this application. He didn't get the point I was getting at in my character, and why it wasn't written in first-person. Unless the original reviewer is reading this application again.

    Out-Of-Character:

    -Minecraft Account Name: Tharor

    -How old are you?: 15

-Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST, or -5 GMT

-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I'd think so, although, all of us make a grammatical of spelling error every once-in-awhile.

-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it?

-Name the 4 races on this server. The races are as follows: Elf, Human, Orc and Dwarf (and their respective sub-races[Not including Aengul, Daemon, Ascended or Undead. As they are given as an in-game bonuses to whom moderators deem worthy]).

-How did you hear about us?: Through the stunning advertisements on Youtube.

-Did you vote?: Of course, I'd love to see LOTC get widespread attention

-What was your favourite Law?: All of them, I think them fair enough.

-What was your least favourite Law?: I can't say I like all of them and have have a least favorite now, can I?

-What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? Tharor

    In-Character:

("Luneatic" is spin off of "Lunatic." Relating to being insane towards the moon)

    CHARACTER FOREWORD:

Supposed reasons why I wasn't accepted orgininally:

    -Lore not tied into bio

    -bad spelling

-overuse of brackets (outrageous, that's irrelevant!)

-not in first-person (Will be explained below)

Before you read, understand that "Luneatic" is a term I made, NOT a misspelling, which is what the original reviewer thought. The reason my bio isn't written in first-person, is because the character is well... CRAZY. Furthermore, if I was writing through a crazy (or rather "Luneatic's" as according to his bio) person's eyes, HE wouldn't think he's crazy! He'd probably think he's the SANE one! Of course, I'd have to role play through his eyes but it's easier in-game than Tharor describing himself in an auto-biography. I've never played an eccentric/insane character before, so it'll be a good way that I can locate the extent of my role playing ability.

The last problem was lore; I know the lore, but he's loony! He doesn't have need knowing the formal lore, he can acknowledge the origins of Aegis but he only respects the moon, thus him being called "The Lune" instead of "The Loon." I know the lore, I respect it! HE IS NOT ME, that's the point of an RPG!!

I hope you understand, I do not want to go through the process of being repeatedly buried so please understand. I wasn't expecting such critics for such specific things. Applications should be reviewed mainly for content and creative ability, not for: grammar, spelling or things irrelevant to role playing(like bracket usage). It's their fault if one looks like a fool because he types something wrong or responds in the incorrect way! (End of character foreword)

    -Character Name: ("The Lune") Tharor

-What is your Race?: Elf, High-Elf subrace.

-Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Tharor (non-number names are versatile, no?).

-Biography: Tharor was brought into this world by two nameless, believed to be nomadic, High-Elves. His parents apparently abandoned him in the village square, and a note that included his name and race. He was found by a band of travelling eccentrics (his parent may also been a bit crazy as well, naming him "Tharor") who weren't really classified as "normal." ***** as they were, they still asked permission from the Elven council to take him in, and raised him as a traveler or (MAYBE?) future Ambassador so that he could return to them with grand stories from his treks. As being raised by eccentrics, he developed his own queerness... He believes the moon to be the most beautiful thing in all of Aegis, even going so far as to stare at it at night for hours.

15 years later, he is sent on his way with only 1 set of very fine clothing that would last for a (Elven) lifetime, his guardians didn't care much for money, as they lived a traveling life, so after buying the suit they gave him any leftover to aid him (And they thought a some nice clothes would give better impressions on people offering jobs). Being "in love" with the moon, he adapted to his unusual habits by turning nocturnal, sleeping at day and traveling by night. He enjoys odd jobs that folks in the villages that he passes by give him, for he never stays at one place for more than 2 days and uses the money to buy food or seek shelter in the inns.

Currently, he travels to Kal Urguan as the first major stop of his travels. Although, he IS reluctant to be underground for quite so long. He travels by coast when possible, for the moon's ties with water.

(Summary: An Eccentric High-Elf who is adamant on his beliefs on the moon. [Could be a potential threat to certain individuals, if they try to undermine his belief he may get angry. Or potential magnet for followers, if some are also "lune" for the moon{Who knows? his story has only just begun!}])

-Character Age: 15 years old (Incredibly young for an Elf [i know, same age. But, I'll have a good basis for his emotion that way])

-Character Appearance: Pale, wears a suit and matching cap and keeps his face covered by his coat-collar. (He actually genuinely covered his face for fashion, the only thing vaguely Un-Eccentric about him)

-Character Personality: Distant, eccentric. (His nickname among his community "is" [quotations because no one else but me and you {the reader} would know this] "The Lune" Tharor)

-Your ambitions: His current ambition is to travel all of Aegis, and to settle in an secluded open-roofed house or as a traveling merchant or story-teller. He wants the religous people to regard the moon as holy (Not to such of a degree like the Lunites in FF). To understand why people stare at him funnily... Oh yeah, and to of course go to the moon, although he knows it's unrealistic

-Can your character read or write?: As his guardians had the grand idea of him becoming an Ambassador, they taught him literacy (Not that's what he wants)

-Can your character mine?: No, he doesn't like to be separated from the moon (and he is a bit afraid of tight-spaces). His build is for agility and speed.

-Are you a capable builder? His buildings are usually open-roofed for the moonlight, so they aren't desirable among other races. if they replaced the space with glass it may be fashionable. (That is in-character, I can build according to codes if required)

-Can you wield a sword?: Traveling isn't the safest of occupations, so he's been formally trained, but he is nothing compared to trained military officials. He uses the quick light swords (Rapier or Epee [only in RP since the swords are the same model...]) and prefers to jab instead of slice (like fencing).

-Enjoy Farming?: As long as he can see the moon (so NO cave-farming). Also, he enjoys fishing and seafood.

-Does your character have any special skills?:] Story-telling somewhat, although he won't get much of an audience because of his habit of sleeping during daylight.

-A screenshot of your skin: I'm not good with the inserting of pictures, so the screenshot is my profile picture (if the attachment didn't show up) (His guardians also desinged the suit, making it unique to Aegis) If I tried to add the pointy ears (and I wanted too!) it would interfere with his hat, sorry if that displeases you.

Oh yeah, and to be buried on the moon (-.-')

His buildings are usually open-roofed [for moonlight], so they aren't desirable among other races (unless they replaced the space with glass).

-Can you wield a sword?: Traveling isn't the safest of occupations, so he's been formally trained, but he is nothing compared to trained military officials. He uses the quick light swords (Rapier or Epee [in RP since the swords are the same look...]) and prefers to jab instead of slice (like fencing).

-Enjoy Farming?: As long as he can see the moon. (Not cave farming[Also enjoys fishing, since the moon has relation to water])

-Does your character have any special skills?:] Story-telling somewhat, although he won't get much of an audience because of his habit of sleeping during daylight.

-A screenshot of your skin: I'm not good with the inserting of pictures, so the screenshot is my profile picture (if the attachment didn't show up) (His guardians also desinged the suit, making it unique to Aegis) post-23631-0-28007800-1316570220_thumb.p

-Other Information: He is very quiet, and his personality usually hinders relationships. He dyed the suit to be "Moon-like" (which explains the odd colors). He mainly gets taken note of because he lurks on the roof-tops to get a better view of the moon (I guess he IS a bit of a "lune")

-Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST, or -5 GMT

-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I'd think so, although, all of us make a grammatical of spelling error every once-in-awhile.

-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it?

-What is your Race?: Elf, High-Elf subrace.

Oh yeah, and to be buried on the moon (-.-')

-A screenshot of your skin: I'm not good with the inserting of pictures, so the screenshot is my profile picture (if the attachment didn't show up) (His guardians also desinged the suit, making it unique to Aegis) If I tried to add the pointy ears (and I wanted too!) it would interfere with his hat, sorry if that displeases you. post-23631-0-86477200-1316548769_thumb.p

-Other Information: He is very quiet, and his personality usually hinders relationships. He dyed the suit to be "Moon-like" (which explains the odd colors). He mainly gets taken note of because he lurks on the roof-tops to get a better view of the moon (I guess he IS a bit of a "lune")

With reason give specifics, not just a copy-pasted list. I appreciate your input!

    Thank you for your consideration-

  16. Out-Of-Character:

    -Minecraft Account Name: Tharor

    -How old are you?: 15

-Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST, or -5 GMT

-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I'd think so, although, all of us make a grammatical of spelling error every once-in-awhile.

-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it?

    -Character Name: ("The Lune") Tharor

-What is your Race?: Elf, High-Elf subrace.

-Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Tharor (non-number names are versatile, no?).

-Biography: Tharor was brought into this world by to nameless, believed to be nomadic, High-Elves.
