I totally agree with your thinking Mr. Zombez and I really like the idea of having areas that people will want to return to. Also the point about cities being really close to spawn and such, yeah I think that needs to be fixed.

Citizens of Aegis!

It seems the Oren Guard is picking up in terms of recruitment.
Being a guard recruit myself, I must say that manning the gate can be quite lonely, and killing pigmen is fun.
If we were to have many more guardsmen ((Spread out across the server time not just everyone on at Peak Hour and everyone at AlKhazar having mass battles and raping the gatehouse with complaints >.<)), patrolling in groups and set up in stations around the city, and the path between Oren and the Cloud Temple, I feel the citizens and people of Aegis will feel safer knowing we are doing our job.
Also, us guardsmen are treated as slop in the community, many a time I have attempted to make an arrest, and the culprit has simply spat in my face and ran off, calling us "useless" and saying "What are ye gonna do about it, son?". ((/roll is not my best friend anymore))

They took the ladders out of the harbor. Then Dawn put one on the side of her bakery, so people wanting to avoid gateguards who either pay them no attention or do not guard the gates, have this option without having to crawl through the sewers.
I will keep that in mind next time I'm on gate duty or patrol.

Huzzah! A way to keep our goodies!

Hopefully in the new world/continent we will have a more organized setup of towns and cities. Everywhere I go there are abandoned houses and towns littering the place. It's quite annoying. I also think having huge towns (excluding AlKhazar, and the major cities) is useless, as there isn't always everyone in the town online.

My name is Alex and I live in South-East Queensland, Austalia. I am a middle school student in Year 9 and I am enjoying school and life. In my spare time I play many games such as Minecraft, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Age of Empires Online, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Warcraft 3. I love to hang out with my friends and have LAN parties, where we game all night. I am an easy going person and it will be easy for others to get to know me, just ask a few questions.

Anywhere between 10-15 hours, at the moment I’m on school holidays for another 10 days so I can pretty much play 6-10 hours a day.
-How long have you played minecraft?:
I have played minecraft since early Alpha back in 2010. I started playing multiplayer however in October 2010.
-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?:
I know a lot about roleplaying and I have had a lot of experience with it. I have played World of Warcraft for 5 years and that is the game that has helped develop everything I know about the internet and experiences with other players you cant talk in person to. I have developed good typing skills and a firm grip on roleplay manner and speech through playing games like World of Warcraft. I mainly like to roleplay as a fighter or a lord of some sort, which is what I do when I play Warcraft 3 or Age of Empires.
-What do you expect this server will be like?:
I expect the server will be bristling with life and many players going about having a great old time in the server, roleplaying, killing mobs and building stories.
-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:
I have previously played on Dawn of Nobility in which I was a Moderator but mainly roleplayer, I left because of some disagreements with Admins and an issue that occurred on their forums.
-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?:
Yes, I love the lore and I think I will be able to fit in well with the storyline.

Discordian is a humble trader, living in the wilds collecting resources and valuable items for trade to his people and travellers. He was born in the Cloud Temple of Aegis, along with everyone else in Aegis. Discordian was the son of Madirc Siyld and Jerya Siyld.
We begin the story of Discordian by tracing his steps back to when he was in The Wild woods..
It was a glorious summers day, the sun shone clear and true through the tree canopy, purging away the shadows that once lingered. Discordian and his mother; Jerya, were sitting by a tall birch tree outside of their cottage. She was eating a delicious mix of fresh berrys and oatmeal for breakfast while Discordian dug around in the dirt looking for Birafet Roots, which were very valuable. Jerya was a lovely woman, tall, beautiful and wise. She had golden locks of hair and broad shoulders. She was a strong woman, and nimble for her age.
A faint rustling could be heard through the bushes, Discordian and Jerya dismissed it as just being the gentle breeze whistling around, but they were mistaken. Suddenly, a flurry of daggers shot out of the woods and flew towards Jerya and Discordian, who were caught by surprise. Jerya picked up Discordian and flung him at a tree to hide him from the incoming projectiles, and started shouting out to Madirc, who had just woken up.
Madirc, sensing the pain and fear in Jerya’s voice, ran down the staircase from the bedroom and smashed his way through the furnace room, where his trusy broadsword lay covered in dust. He picked up the fine studded hilt and obsidian-steel blade, held it in a battle ready stance, and rushed outside to meet his attackers. Discordian lay shocked in fear by the birch tree while Jerya was wrestling with one of the attackers. Madirc lifted his heavy sword above his head and charged at the group of cloaked bandits, he slashed and cut his way through the first two, only to come face to face with the leader, who kicked Madirc straight in the ribs and dropped him to the floor, Jerya had defeated the bandit who she was wrestling with and went over to Madirc, shielding him from the Bandit Leader’s blade, which sank straight through her heart.
Madirc lay broken and battered on the forest floor, and managed a croaked sentence to Discordian:
“Discordian.. run.. run as fast as you can and never come back.. run!”
And with that, the Bandit Leader crushed his skull under a heavy leather boot.
Discordian was struck with a surge of urgency, a huge adrenaline rush washed through him and he began to run away from the cottage. As he saw it go up in flames, he could hear the Bandit Leader’s coarse laugh echoing around the trees over the roar of the fire.
To this day, Discordian seeks vengeance for what the bandits did to his family. He tries not to remember the past but look only to the future, a future of peace and prosperity for himself and his friends. Janna, his newfound sister and trusty companion, roams the world with him, exploring and learning the arts of Writing and Reading. Not much of Discordian's past is known, but slowly, piece by piece, he is recalling the memories of his past.

Ah, you want to know what I look like aye? Haha, well here it is then. I have orange-tinted hair with a streak of blue running through the centre, my hair is swept across my brow, hiding my eyes. My physique is adapted for quick movement and long travels but not fighting. I wear a long purple overcoat and black tie underneath. I hope that is all you wanted to know, Friend?

Oh you’re quite the inquisitive one aren’t you? Very well then. I am a loveable character, friendly and charming. I love to make friends and tell jokes and have a good time. I am easy going and you will get to know me very well.

My ambitions are quite simple. I wish to get vengeance for the evil deeds of those cruel bandits, and to be prosperous and make peace for my friends.
