Thanks so much guys! Setname fixed the issue. I still cannot use asterisk to talk in third person however (typing *yawn* simply shows *yawn*). Is there a workaround for this as well?

I just rejoined the server a few days ago with an in game name. In the past few hours, my minecraft username "NekoTwilight" appears in chat instead of my character's name. I also can't say anything in third person (asterisks don't work).

Thanks very much to all! The soulstone system makes sense now. I've seen a few emerald pillars around while out and about, and will use them forthwit. Shame about the protected land being removed, though like the minas injections I can understand the reasoning.  

As per my other questions, bands of wild Orcs with a distaste for poor architecture would be a welcome sight indeed; though from what I can discern they are not very active in their house smashing duties.

Hey everyone! I've just come back to LoTC (well, yesterday) after more then a year and a half away. There's been a lot of changing, and I'd like some help in figuring them out.

1) I really don't understand the soulstone system. I've done searching, have asked around, and tried it myself. I don't understand how to "select" a pillar (shift click, etc), how to "set" a soulstone (/setsoul) doesn't seem to work. I've heard some say its been disabled. I just want to set a "warp" so I can quickly get back to an area. Can anyone help me with this?

2) The wilds are ugly! I was pretty shocked. I'm aware that this is a new map, and permissions will be loosened soon, but will the existing wilds be deleted? The buildings are mainly of a quality that I had not remembered being around in LoTC. Is the wilds the only place I can build a house, besides buying one in the main map?

3) Back in the day, my donation enabled me to have a protected plot of land. I'm guessing this has been removed. I was already told the minas for donations was taken away (which makes sense).

4) Iron/gold/diamonds/etc can only be obtained by purchasing them? o_o? There are none in the environment?

Anyway, it's really good to be back. My appreciations in advance for any responses. I've done my best to try and find the answers to these before posting.

Hey, guys. As I mentioned in another thread (which is now locked), I've just come back after well over a year. I had donated $200 and gotten 20,000 minas at the time, and when I left had about 10,000. Did all the money get reset? I'm just curious if everyone lost their money after the reset.

Hey everyone! Just came back after over a year. I'm sure the server has been wiped multiple times, but... I donated $200 back when that was top donator rank (I think) and notice that I don't have the perks in game (not really a surprise). I submitted a mod request but thought I should make a post here too.

You'll probably have a harder time convincing donators/successful business people/etc, who have poured tens of thousands of minas into the economy in the past few weeks, to simply abandon all that they've earned.

A much better idea would be the ability to bring a number of goods with you, from the old world. That would help kick-start the new market as well, so that there isn't a massive shortage of basic goods and supplies, causing prices to skyrocket.

I had the great misfortune of buying three houses all next to one another just 15 minutes before the perms were destroyed.

Proof. I told TheRedNinja that I needed perms for a house next to the one he was building, and well as the one next to that. Ivrae later gave me perms for the house I requested, yet I messaged her a number of times saying that I was not given perms to the other two houses I purchased.

I would imagine that both can vouch for my story. I also hope there's some way to see exactly who purchased the houses, in a worst case scenario.
