  1. I am Hiroel Darkwood, a dark elf. I recently lost my place of residence, so I'm in the need of work. I would like to join any guild, group or organization that has room for me. I'm well-educated, so I can both read and write well. I have also studied the art of speech and music; I have been told that I have a very pleasant voice and the skills to persuade people. In fact, I would love to take the position of a politician or maybe even a bard or such if there are any available. I do not enjoy fighting but I'm decent at using a sword if needed.

Even though I'm not very used to physical labor I know the basics of lumberjacking, farming and cooking, so even if the work you have to offer is not very sophisticated I will gladly accept it if comes with a decend place to stay in and an active community.

    Signed, Hiroel Darkwood

((I'm European (GMT+2) so it would be great if your guild had at least some members from Europe. I'm also looking for active players to roleplay with, not just a home amd/or work for my character.))

  2. *A small bird appears, carrying a letter. The letter is written in an elegant handwriting*

    Greetings,

I might be interested in moving into one of these houses of yours. But before that, I have a few questions to ask: Where is this town that you speak of? And how many people currently reside there? I won't be needing a house in a ghost town where there's no-one else than me.

    Signed, Hiroel Darkwood

((I'd also like to know when your town is active - My timezone is GMT+2 so I can rarely roleplay with people from USA.))

  3. In my opinion the travel distances are fine. The problem is with the roads; I have never walked to my home city (The wood elf city), just because I haven't been able to find it. I think that lots of problems could be solved by making the roads better.

Also, I like the idea of ships. It's more realistic to be able to cross oceans with ships, not tiny little boats. I think the price for using a ship should be something like 200 minas for a shorter distance and about 500 minas for a longer one.

I still think that roads should be used to travel on land and no fast travel is needed apart from the boats.

  4. This is just idiotic. Why should we care if our leader is half-blood? I don't have anything against humans, and Haelphon has elf blood running through his veins. Even though I might not accept a human as the High Prince, I think having one elf parent is enough. Is the blood really so important? What would it change if our leader was a full elf?

  5. Aviala shakes her head, disappointed.

"I would have never believed that Ebs could turn against Indelwehn. She has been doing her best to protect Laurelin and it's citizens. Ebs was believed to be dead, and was away for years; it is only natural that somebody else has had to fill this position. Even if someone attacked Ebs, I do not think it was Indelwehn who sent them. He's blaming her, but does he have any proof? I have never seen the High Princess commit a single bad or unfair deed; she has always been kind to everyone, and loved by many. And Ebs expects us to believe him, even though he hasn't shown any kind of evidence of Indelwehns corruption?

I choose to believe in our good and trusted leader. After all, in these dark times, if we don't have any trust and loyalty, what is there left for us? Only suspicion and betrayal.

  6. I think it has it's pros and cons. If the world was perfect and everyone was great at roleplaying, we wouldn't need rolls. However, there are a lot of average and just.. bad roleplayers out there who try to win every fight. Without the rolling system, these people would just powergame their way out of every bad situation by just emoting something like "Kicks him on the stomach and disarms him" without letting the other one do anything.

Personally, I'd love to be able to roleplay without rolling. But I don't think that'll happen any time soon.

  7. *a bird carries a message, replying to the note*

I do not think that this is the way it works with the elves; even if you are married to a princess, it doesn't make you a prince. And for that reason, I do not think you should become the high prince. Besides, there is only one high prince or princess at a time, and right now that is Indelwehn.

I have heard many good things about you but it just wouldn't seem right for you to be the high prince; at least not if the council doesn't choose you as one. Also, as you said, you are a human and your loyalty lies elsewhere.

If you do become the high prince, however, I will give you my full support. After all, you are married to my husband's adoptive mother.

  8. *A note is pinned to the notice board*

"This is a note to all of my friends and my family. I am leaving my home to take our (my and Murgaw's) child to safety; it's not safe here anymore. With every passing moment I grow more anxious and worried because of the constant battles that have been happening lately. I'm writing this in a hurry; I can hear the troubled voices from outside again. Another battle is starting.

I will be living deep in the wilds, away from war and danger, until I feel it's safe for our child to come back.

So, farewell, my friends. May the forest quide your way and keep you safe during these troubled times.

    Best wishes,

    Aviala Fawkes-Bloodshredder

P.S. Rinkachi, if you happen to read this, go talk to Murgaw - he must be lonely without me and the little one there."

((OOC: My laptop is broken so I can't play LOTC - Minecraft doesn't work on our family computer, which I'm using right now. I'm hoping to get a new computer soon but I somehow doubt it will happen very soon. It might even take a month, but I hope not... I couldn't stand not playing LOTC for such a long time! Well, in any case, I'll still be spending time on the forums and TS.))
