I am a dedicated student, but I like to enjoy myself by playing videogames. I find roleplaying to be quite enjoyable.

About 5 hours, give or take a few depending on the time of year.

I have played for about a year now.

-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?:

I know pretty well what roleplaying is. I used to play Runescape, and towards the end of my playing career I got very into roleplaying in-game. We would go on adventures, come up with basic premises, and act out storylines. I love fantasy, especially Lord of the Rings, and I do not think I will have any trouble staying in character. I know that roleplaying is creating a fictional character and playing as that character, NOT as your actual self. For example, I may be a 47 year old female human in real life, but on this server I can be an 18 year old male elf if I wish, but I must act like one and stick to that one character. Essentially, roleplaying is creating a second identity and assuming that identity whenever you play on this server.

-What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect this server will be similar to some MMORPGs, especially with the stats system and the different nations. I am hoping that the other players will stay in character, because everything is so much more fun that way. I picture this server as a grand adventure world where fantasies come to life.

-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on my real-life friend's server with about 20 other people. I have not technically left that server, but when the 1.8 update came out, my friend started a new world. All of the stuff that I built--a Wizard's Tower based on Orthanc from Lord of the Rings; a fortress complete with working arrow volleys, a drawbridge, a portcullis, a barracks, and more; and an elven area with a giant tree and other miniature treeforts was lost--all of this was lost. I want to find a server that already has cities and things built, because I do not want to have to rebuild them.

-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?:

I have read all of this and I find it perfectly agreeable.

I have always been a yeoman elf, since the day I left my home to wander the lands as a young, impulsive elf. I do what I must to survive, but I do not compromise my fundamental morals. I shall not take advantage of another member of my race, or any other race if I can help it, with a few exceptions. When I am hungry, I hunt. When I need a weapon, I forge one. When I need a house, I build one. I am not opposed to trading with others for resources, but, if it is possible, I would just as soon mine my own diamond ore as buy it. For the most part, I keep to myself, but I do enjoy entertaining company and gathering with my fellow elves of lore to discuss the latest news from afar. If ever my country should require something of me, I will do everything in my power to grant their request. If my nation needs swords, I will forge tirelessly until the need is met. If they need food, I will sow and reap until the hungry are fed. If my nation needs me to take up arms and fight, I will unleash the full measure of my own training on the enemy of the elves. If my nation needs naught else but a decrease in the surplus population, then it shall be my honour to sacrifice myself for the good of the whole.

-Character Age:

It has been, in human terms, 78 years since my eyes first gorged themselves on the splendor of Laurelin, the city in which I was born. While the humans would consider me a washed-up elder, I have not even reached the prime of my years by the elven reckoning.

-Character Appearance:

I stand 7 feet 4 inches, an average height for an elf. My face is angular, as are my ears. My brown hair is an anomaly amongst the blonde-dominated race, but it is light enough so that it does not attract attention. In a way, this characterizes the rest of my appearance. I am rather strong, but not so large as to appear strong. My legs are long, but not disproportionate to my body. Rather, my legs are the perfect length for running long distances.

-Character Personality:

I am quiet at first, but as I become more comfortable with my surroundings and my companions, I can engage in some very deep and intelligent conversations. I have no small opinions about the way to world should work, but I do not force these opinions on anyone. For the most part, I am very amicable, willing to help anyone who needs it while still watching out for my own interest. I am proud of the elven race of lore, and I dream of the deep camaraderie that once ran deep among the elves. I am very independent, but I still love to work with my peers to accomplish the tasks set before us.

-Your ambitions:

At the moment, I am simply trying to make my way through this world. I will do whatever it is my nation demands of me. Ultimately, though, I believe I can find a suitable post in either the military or in diplomatic relations, although the latter always seems to cause a necessity of the former.

-Can your character read or write?:

I can read enough to find my way around, and I can write well enough to get my point across. However, my true talents lie in my speech and in my figures. I pity the elf that challenges me to a battle of numbers! How quickly will he realize his mistake!

If I could not mine, I certainly would not have made it far in this world.

-Are you a capable builder?

I am by no means one of the great architects of lore, but I can build a functional house, fort, farm, or castle, that is not too hard on the eye. My motto, though, is still "form follows function".

I forge swords, I practice with swords, and, if the need arises, I can wield swords.

-Enjoy Farming?:

Absolutely. Autarky is a noble goal.

I am not very unique in any one sense. Rather, I am what some call the "jack of all trades, master of none". I can do many things, such as mine, farm, fish, and fight, and I do them all to the best of my ability, but there will always be those better than me in all of these areas.

This may seem like a special skill, but it is not really unique enough to merit the qualifier "special". It is just worth noting that I seem to have a knack for sniping; that is, I am much more comfortable wielding a bow than a sword, and my battle strategy and even my architectural designs seem to stem from this interesting aspect of my personality.
