  1. Dretus looked around. He quickly realised that his huge sword GolemKlomper is missing.

    "Skahin' Skavengahs," he grunts.

He didn't know where he was, only that it was snowing on him. He could hear the trickling of water but did not know where it was. Hunger was his main concern. He needed to hunt, and fast. On his belt was a fragment of his left tusk, the one that had been ripped of by the golem. It was reassuring to hold a weapon again. He noticed a lone wolf sneaking up on a herd of sheep. Hungry and alone like him, he thought.

He got up and charged at the sheep. They ran as fast as they could but not faster than the 13ft orc. He grabbed the largest ram and rammed the tusk into its skull. Dropping the ram he quickly dispatched the other sheep. He saw the wolf eyeing him warily. Dretus threw the smallest of the sheep to the wolf and begin eating the sheep raw, savouring the warm blood dripping down his chin.

After cleaning the wool from his teeth he set off, determined to find his Uruk Brudahs. He roars half-hoping for a reply. When none comes he carries on, witht the wolf following happily.

  2. These are mainly Ned_Lud's ideas but just expanded.

    Origins

Vugnash ruled the orcs in Asulon. Many clans contested for the favor of Vugnash and the honour of being a War'Goth clan. One of these clans was the Olog clan. They had very selective breeding where only the biggest and strongest orcs could breed and they had to be of Olog blood. This produced very large and strong orcs. When the four races were wiped from the face of Asiulon a few of the Olgs managed to survive. They were soon found by the Mori'Quessar while looking for shelter. The Mori saw potential in the orcs and enslaved them straight away. The Mori realised that with selective breeding and certain diets the orcs could become bigger and stronger. This would also kill off the other weaker orcs who had survived.

The problem was that the Mori had no way in which they could communicate with the orcs and resorted to violence and other crude methods to get their results. All the weaker orcs were sacrificed and females were cared for more than the males. More males were being produced so that meant more guards or labourers to do the more tiring work for the Mori.

The Mori couldn't see in sunlight and this meant they couldn't go out and hunt for animals that were on the surface. The Mori saw that the orcs could hunt for them. Most of the orcs would eat most of the meant they got to sustain their larger bodies.

The orcs formed a close community in the slave pens and grew closer. The older orcs told the cubs stories of Krug and of the Olog clan. The Mori didn't care about this because the orcs were forced to do simple jobs after being shown what to do. The orcs were never taught how to speak in the Mori language so their was never any verbal communication between the two races.

  3. What's the thing against bowing anyway? Some cultures (notebly human) have done it as a greeting and/or sign of respect, but what's the orc feelings against it stem from?

    What's this mean?

Also, this one. What about travelling traders? Mercenaries? People cutting through 'orc lands' on the way to their home in the wilds to the north? Are there going to be some common sense exemptions to these rules, or is every person ever entering expected to bring mountains of treasure.. er..tribute, for the orcs they encounter?

Previous deeds count? I think I remember you being there when me an' Arkensald brought a bakeryload of bread to Sanhar back in aegis. True, back then it was just us trying to help every nation prepare for the undead, but if it could work for me in asulon, might as well inquire...

Okay for the first one orcs don't bow because the other races, who are seen as weak, do it and it would make the orcs look weak

For the second thing it means always speak in urak blah

For the third thing there have been agreements in the past where someone has paid a lot of tribute in bulk and didn't have to pay every time they entered

And finally it depends on the Clan wargoth if past deeds concern them
