  1. Out-Of-Character

    Minecraft Account Name:

    Lordgeorge16

    How old are you?:

    16, 17 next month.

    Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

    Massachusetts, USA. Eastern Standard time.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

    Of course I do.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I enjoy roleplaying. More so, I enjoy serious roleplaying. I recently quit Age of Mines due to a power-hungry admin and a former friend of mine killing off another friend's character just because they don't like her.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

    2-4 hours a day, 6-8 on weekends.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

I've been doing stuff like this online for years. Roleplaying is when one becomes, at the most basic level, their in-game character. They act out what their character might do in certain situations, and create stories based off of them. Roleplaying is the ultimate act of immersion when it comes to playing video games, and can sometimes enhance the effect on the player, making a much more enjoyable experience for them.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

Roleplaying on RuneScape, Minecraft, and sometimes individual, short fights with friends on Steam/Skype, just for fun.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-gaming is when you use information gained out-of-character and apply it to yourself in-character, gaining an unfair advantage over others. As an example, if you told a friend out-of-character about an important event involving them that is supposed to be a surprise, and then your friend applies the OOC information to IC knowledge, as if they “magically knew about it”, that is meta-gaming.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power-gaming is augmenting oneself with overpowered and sometimes ridiculous abilities to make one superior to those around him/her. Power-gaming is also when one doesn’t give an opponent the chance to respond or perform their own actions. An example of the two aforementioned definitions combined: “*George summons a massive fireball to his hand and hurls it at <insert name here>, burning them to a crisp in seconds*”.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

From what my friend, Anthrowolfgirl, has told me, a lot of fun.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Age of Mines. As I explained before, I left due to an unfair and power-hungry admin (Who also occasionally got drunk, changed the map, and made it IC) and a former friend of mine killing off my friend's character just because they don't like her.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

    Yes, yes, and yes.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

    Why wouldn't I?

How did you hear about us?:

I attempted to join a while ago, but my previous application was rejected due to my character coming from a land that isn't actually on the map, in search of a new home.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?:

Yes, 3,115. If that's not the number, I'm sorry, I couldn't find anything else.

    In-Character:

    Character Name:

    Eredhion

    What Race are you?:

    I’m an elf.

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):

A wood elf, to be precise.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

“I was born to Landarthradon, my father, and Bellethiel, my mother, about two hundred and sixteen elf years ago. I dislike violence, but I’m afraid to fight when there aren't any other options. I’m very caring and defensive of my family and friends, as they are the most important things in my life. From a very young age, I have been exceptionally skilled at parkour-like feats, such as scaling long jumps and finding shortcuts over walls and paths. I also learned how to use a bow to the point where no target can escape from me, but as I stated before, violence from me is rather rare. As my name suggests, in the Elvish language, I also enjoy farming and tending to crops. It bothers when people don’t take good care of their farms, and I try to help out by fixing them up.

I was one of the last people to make it on to the boats to Asulon, forced to watch my parents sacrifice their lives against the onslaught of monsters in order to save me. To this day, I honor their sacrifice and, while I miss them dearly, I know that I have to stay alive as long as possible so that my parents did not die in vain. Ever since their death, I have been searching for a friend in the vast kingdom of Malinor. I don’t like being alone, and prefer to have someone I can talk to and do things with.”

OOC – Eredhion is a dark-skinned Wood Elf with turquoise hair and green eyes. He’s skilled at jumping and running and is a pacifist skilled in archery. He enjoys farming. His parents died when he was boarding the boats to Asulon during the Destruction of Aegis, and now seeks companionship in the form of a friend.

    What is your Character's ambitions?:

Eredhion wishes to achieve peace with whatever enemies of Malinor may exist. Though he has no power in the Royal Family, as he isn't of the High Elf bloodline, he hopes that any conflict that comes before them can be resolved quickly and without violence.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

“I prefer to keep a bow, a Wooden or Stone Hoe, and a dagger (Sword) of Iron on me at most times.”

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Eredhion is exceptionally skilled at moving quickly. Whether he's in the treetops, or dashing across a large plain, he scales his obstacles it as if they were child's play.

    Other Information about your Character:

He doesn't always enjoy having fun poked at him, but there are times when Eredhion will drop his serious demeanor for a few jokes.

    Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

“Hey, hey you there, stop!” Eredhion darts over and separates the three. “What are you two doing to this innocent creature? You should be ashamed of yourselves! Go; get on out of here, people like you make me sick.” Eredhion then escorts the Halfling to safety, making sure that the warriors aren’t following. He offers the Halfling a loaf of bread, and continues on his journey.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Eredhion responds with, in a friendly tone, "Good day to you, sir. I was wondering if you have any arrows for trade. My quiver has been empty for the past few days." They talk for a few minutes, bargaining with each other until they settle at a reasonable price. Eredhion gives the man his money, the man gives him his arrows, and life goes on.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Eredhion wanders inside, finding nobody present. His curiosity leads him to the chest and he pops it open. “Oh my, look at these…Wait, what am I thinking? Stealing is wrong, I shouldn’t be doing this.” Eredhion closes the chest, stands up, and leaves the house.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

“Oh, hello there. I seem to be lost; do you gentlemen have directions to Malinor?” He asks, “Oh, and do you happen to have any food? I just had my last slice of bread about an hour ago, and I’ve grown hungry again.” Eredhion converses with the men while they trade minas and food and they write down directions back to Malinor for him.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Eredhion approaches the guards and asks, “Have there been any attempts to make peace with them? If not, I’d like to head out there and try to negotiate.” The guards permit him to pass, and he finds the ruffians. “Excuse me, sirs, but I’m going to have to ask you to leave this town if you continue to terrorize the innocent people within its borders. If it’s minas you’re after, perhaps you should think about getting a job and earning it instead of stealing and killing people to get what you want.” However, the bandits ignore him. One brandishes an axe and charges toward Eredhion. The Wood Elf darts back to the town entrance, informs the guards of what happened, apologizes for his failure, and leaves the town through a different exit, hoping that they can resolve the issue with little difficulty.

  3. So, I touched up on it a bit, and for future reference, I know Ame isn't part of the map, that's why I said it was far, far away from the land, as in it's so far away that it's not an actual area in the map. Also, I toned down the abilities, I just thought it would be interesting/funny to use a hit registration bug in the game as one (Arrows bouncing off for no reason), it's not like I could actually use it to throw people off of a cliff or anything, but I'll remove it from the list. The summoning abilities still stand, however, unless there aren't any /tpa or /spawn commands on the server.

    Changelog:

Agreement to rules and lore: Completely read.

    In-Character:

    -Character Name:George Rikudo

    -What is your Race?: Human

    -Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Lordgeorge16

-Biography:George grew up in a small, rainy village called Ame, far far away from these lands. Unfortunately, that village was located between three great nations at war with each other. George witnessed the accidental death of his parents at the hands of two men from one side. Without knowing it, he killed them with a strange power that came from within his eyes.

Several years later, George was married to a beautiful woman named Tenchi, and had a best friend named Itami. Itami was the leader of a rebellion against a man that had taken over their village named Yogensha. With the help of George and Tenchi, they managed to corner Yogensha, before he vanished and took Tenchi hostage. When the two men found them, George was presented with a choice. He was to kill Itami or Tenchi would die. Itami told him that he had to do it, and that his memories would live on inside George and Tenchi. As tears filled his eyes, George took out a knife, and as if Itami was a magnet, he was pulled into the knife and stabbed. Itami died with a smile on his face. George turned his head up, and the next sight horrified him. Tenchi's clothes were soaked in deep red blood, her eyes staring upwards, a deep gash across her neck. Yogensha killed her anyway. Shaking with rage, George clasped his hands together and summoned a massive statue called the Gedo Mazo, using the powers in his eyes. The statue released many, many metal rods that impaled George's back so he could control it. The statue started draining George's energy as it started to suck out Yogensha's soul, along with those of his many soldiers. By the time they were dead, the Gedo Mazo had sucked out so much of George's strength that he looked like a walking corpse. He went into a self-imposed exile due to his inability to protect the two people that meant the most to him in his life.

Years later, he found himself on the borders of the world of Aegis. He had heard stories of the Kingdom of Oren, and chose to seek them out to join their ranks, so he may start life anew, as tribute to Tenchi and Itami.

    -Character Age:25

-Character Appearance:George has the appearance of a walking corpse as a result of the Gedo Mazo draining almost all of his strength. Despite this, he's still a very strong fighter. He has many metal rods in his back and numerous small studs along his body. He wears no shirt, as the rods would just tear it up. George has long, red hair. His most distinct feature, however, is his eyes. Both the iris and sclera are completely purple, and there are many rings surrounding the pupils of each eye.

-Character Personality:George is loyal. He always follows orders from the higher-ups, but he isn't afraid to take control of a situation if he deems it necessary. Despite all of the tragedies that occurred in Ame, George absolutely loves the rain. He's also nice, despite his frightful appearance. Just don't get on his bad side!

-Your ambitions:To either regain his power and return to where he once came from, or to start life anew.

-Can your character read or write?:Yes and yes.

    -Can your character mine?:Yes.

-Are you a capable builder? Not really. ((No artistic skills!))

-Can you wield a sword?:Of course.

    -Enjoy Farming?:Yes.

-Does your character have any special skills?:George can weakly use some of his old abilities, like summoning people to him ((/tpahere <name>, if that command is implemented.)), reverse-summoning himself to other people or a few minor locations ((/tpa <name>, once again, if that command is implemented. Also, /spawn, /home, /f home, etc.)). However, he does not have enough strength to summon the Gedo Mazo again. If he were to accomplish such a task, he would die. Also, overusing some of his abilities will start to cause his eyes to bleed and his vision to fade, which means he needs to take time to rest.

-A screenshot of your skin: 2011-11-20_20.21_.41_.png

-Does your character have any special skills?:George can weakly use some of his old abilities, like deflecting projectiles ((Whenever an arrow bounces off for no reason.)), summoning people to him ((/tpahere <name>, if that command is implemented.)), reverse-summoning himself to other people ((/tpa <name>, once again, if that command is implemented.

-Other Information:I totally didn't rip off Nagato from Naruto Shippuden with a slightly modified Second Great Pain or anything.
