Well, in real life, I'm a father of two, and I married the geeky hot D&D girl. I have my own house and I'm starting a new company. I also help develop some bukkit plugins like the AutoCraft plugin (im the lead tester).

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

As much as 30 to 40 hours top. I have a family that takes priority so I might suddenly have to run and save a baby!!

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Well I started playing Dungeons and dragons in 1995, in high school, and then I started Dungeon Mastering in 1997. I continue to play D&D now. I'm planning on running a PathFinder campaign whenever my friends can get off work. I also am a 15 year veteran of the S.C.A. or Society for Creative Anachronism. I fight Sword'n'Board for most of those years, although i dabbled in Spear Technique. My persona in the S.C.A. is Antonicus von Kiestel and I'm a member of House Inverted. (just google "estrella war battle")

Roleplaying is essentially going out of your normal life and being a character in a possibly fictional universe. You act out the characters actions as your own. You separate 'ingame knowlage' and 'playerknowlage'.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Also known as "Munchkining" or "Min-Maxing". This is where the player is more interesting in mastering or exploiting the gameplay rather and not caring about the role-playing elements, or at most relegating them to the sidelines.

Now Metagaming is technically a type of powergaming, but it is a more specific form. It is when a player gets more involved with the rules, strategies, graphics(in video rpg), or anything else that isn't part of the character experience. For instance, if a player talks only about how they will use their level 2 magic battle axe with acid because he knows that the acid is particularly easy to kill anything. What's wrong with this? He doesn't once consider the Role Play aspect of the weapon, like who made it, what story is behind getting it, ect. It can also be like player/character knowledge conundrum where the player is using meta information of the game engine for instance. It as a whole detracts from character roleplaying.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Hmm. I don't really know. My friend ThaProfessor plays here and he said its cool. I imagine it will be fun but I bet there are rules on talking out of character on global ( i hope there is :) ). I really want to build my own castle so I'm hoping some people will join me and we can forge a Kingdom!

"Long ago, I was just a petty warlord. I vied with other petty warlords for pathetic gains. Eventually I plotted a coup and removed and left with all my trusted Sub-Lords to a new kingdom. We made war with our old kingdom, and over many years, economically they were defeated.

"Now when I first became Ur-King, I was passionate and loving towards my people. I cared for them, defended them from more bloodthirsty lords, and generally kept the peace. But absolute power...

"After time, my most powerful wizards began giving me god-like powers. Powers to destroy a city in a few moments or to cast magic like a god. So powerful I was that when met in battle, my foes more often ran away at the sight of me. Twas a glorious day.

"But with more conquest, more vassals and more diabolical magic, my mind began to play tricks. I began to fear even my trusted Lieutenants, setting spies to watch my spies. In reality there was no real threat to my power, as anyone who opposed me or disobeyed my rules was instantly destroyed and only smoking craters mark the graves of my enemies. Nonetheless the paranoia continued.

"Truly my downfall could have been marked when I made a dark pact with the most devilish of Tanar'ri. I had all my most trusted arch-wizards slain, their magical viscera slow sliding down channels, bringing the bloody reward to the great demon being summoned. The creature was all blackness and red eyes. And reaching claws......

"I will speak no more of what occurred after that. Suffice to say that Demon took control of my kingdom and my soul. I had one choice: to stay and let this Demon slowly destroy every soul in my own Kingdom, or to impose my self on the most profound form of exile: Planar Banishment. I decided for the latter, as my kingdom was so large that it ruled itself, the Sub-Lords military strengths all roughly equal.

"The Ritual was long and painful, and the Demon fought me through every single step. But the fool had given me too much power, and the spell was simplistic to cast for my might. I hurriedly cast the spell and left my kingdom, my world, my plane of existence behind...forever.

"Now I am here, outside the borders of your realm. Humbly asking that I may be admitted here. Mayhaps to go through my exile in solitude, or maybe to forge a new kingdom, without all the previous mistakes.

"Please choose soon, mi'Lord, whether I be cast back into the void or not." -GarretSidzaka

Your characters ambitions:

I look to either bear out my exile as a wanderer, or to recreate my ancient lost kingdom, without all the mistakes of past.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

I look around for other orcs. Then I pull out my bow and shoot the Orc holding the elf, while rushing toward the scene. I drop my bow and pull forth my sword. I engage both orcs in melee and beseech the elf "Please take this dagger and lay-on!"

After that, only the gods know my fate.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

What have you in stock kind merchant? I'm looking for bread and arrows. And perhaps an enchanted blade as well?" I say with a mischievous wink.

Other Information:

I want to emphasize that the storyline DOES NOT leave me with anypowers, any prestige, any wealth, knighthood, kinghood, land, or any extra anything beyond what everybody else starts with. My character is a hollow shell of his past life, utterly shattered. A little bird told me that I was accused by one of your staff of being a powergamer. I'm not a powergamer and perhaps your admins are being overly critical of honest applicants.

As I said before I work with a good bukkit dev and I would to love to show some of the plugins to the staff, especially AutoCraft and McRPG. But that's only if you guys want to hear it. I bet you hear noob suggestions all day LOL
