  1. [Questions]

    MC Name: SuperKanman10

Why do you want to join? I wish to be in a thieving guild, and provide interesting RP for other players.

How will you provide the guild and the LOTC community with a great RP experience? Every game in my opinion needs a bad guy to make it fun, so that normal life ca get turned by events and can suddenly be twice as exciting in the hunt for the criminals.

What do you think are vital in RP? (I.e Emotes, RP fights over MC fights etc) MC fights are for PVP servers, which LOTC is not. Since it is a RP server it is vital that you use said RP and also dont forget to emote. We've all played with a power gamer, and they are not fun.

To break the guild laws, or the Server laws is instant banishment unless in a specific circumstance where you are offered an appeal form by the Guild, do you understand this? I do.

    [Character Questions]

    RP name: Viglead

Biography: (Copied from my VA, its REALLY long, so its in the spoiler)

    Adolescents

Viglead is a Dwarf was found on a hill as a babe wrapped in a rag by Elves from the White Raven clan. They had him for all of a harvest moon, until neighboring Dwarf heard that a Dwarf was being raised by Elves and they wanted none of it. So the Dwarf clan called the Vaulen forcefully took Viglead back to their camp to grow up, as a Dwarf should. He was given to a Dwarf couple that was barren. He grew up in the Vaulen clan. When he was older his Dwarven parents told him about his Elven family. All he yearned for was to see them and at least meet the people who had first adopted him. His Dwarven parents reluctantly agreed to let him go off on his mini-crusade, and told him where he would find them and sent a bird to the elves to tell them of his return. He journeyed for a moon phase and found the Elves and they loved on him like grandparents and taught him about nature and the importance of being kind. Viglead listened to them, and understood. When it was time for him to go home he did painfully, thanking and wishing luck onto the Elves. The journey home was a breeze, what he found when he got home wasn’t.

    The Turning Point

Viglead came home to find the entire Vaulen clan dead and burning. Now the Vaulen clan was not small, it consisted of about five hundred members each of them being fit and able, for the weak ones with defects were thrown out to die. So the invading force was a mystery at the time to Viglead, but the sight of his entire family burning in front of him rotting and dead caused emotions that were not as much of a mystery. He left his clan’s town forever with anger that completely consumed him. He ventured out into the woods and came upon a small town, he did not know the name, but tried to control his still seething anger as he walked into the town. He sat down at a local pub and ordered some ale, while he was doing so he saw a human sizing him up. Viglead grunted and continued on drinking away his anger. The human walked up and sat down in front of Viglead and asked him his name, Viglead replied that he preferred not to. The man nodded and handed him a slip of paper and walked away. Viglead finished his ale and opened it, on the piece of paper it said for him to meet the man at the butchers shop near the moon’s peak.

    Spilled Blood

Viglead found the butcher’s shop pretty easily and found the man waiting there for him dressed in a hooded cloak. He nodded at Viglead and told him that in that butcher shop was a man who had aided in the genocide of Viglead’s family. Viglead threw him a questioning glance and the man pointed to Viglead’s family crest stitched onto his shoulder. The man handed him a blade and said, “Go, and kill.” Viglead didn’t even hesitate as he walked up the cobblestone stairs and slowly pushed open the wooden door. He slipped inside and found the butcher slaughtering pigs from their pen. Viglead saw how brutally the man was murdering the pigs and an angry thought reminded him of how this was probably the same way he had killed his clan. Viglead however is not a hot head, he may be furious but he had practiced patience from his Elven family, and even had their swiftness in him. With that same swiftness he followed the butcher as he went to the pen to fetch another pig, and as he was grabbing one, Viglead gently taped the man on the shoulder and stabbed him promptly in the stomach, then pushed him over and into the pen with the hungry pigs. Viglead felt that slowly his blade was avenging his clan.

    A New Career

Viglead had gone outside and handed the man his blade and nodded. The man told him to come and Viglead followed, he lead Viglead to a house and told him to stay outside. After a few minutes he told Viglead to enter. He entered and a man welcomed him and told him he was invited to join an assassin group, Viglead joined and grew strong quickly and learned the art well from the man who still would not give his name to Viglead, but this did not matter, as long as Viglead could kill in the name of his clan imagining that by doing so he was saving yet another soul in his family. While he was sitting in a pub with a group of friends happily pretending to be drunk, hoping to extract his friends secrets. After all, he was an assassin, secrets and like gems, they can be used as tokens for blackmail. Then one of his Orc friends recalls the time they wiped out an entire Dwarven clan. Viglead’s ears perked up and his hand on his glass tightened. They all laughed and talked in detail how the town’s people had tried to fight, but were no match. Viglead asked for the name of the clan with his hand resting on his blade. The Orc with a chuckle impersonated a dying Dwarf begging not to be killed. Viglead looked at the Orc and tapped his clan’s crest and the group silenced. Out of drunken anger the Orc grabbed Vilgead and took him to the Overseer. Viglead hardly resisted the Orc and starting planning his next move when he was to arrive there.

    Imprisonment

Viglead was in a cold dark cell. In this cold dark cell were two things. Spiders and angry thoughts, both which Viglead did not care for. He had been thrown in there by order of the Overseer for being a backstabbing pig and traitor. A peculiar thought came across Viglead’s mind as the jailer came shuffling in. He wondered why the man who had introduced him to the guild hadn’t killed him. He pondered this while the jailer gave him soup, spilling it. He pondered this while he was led to be exterminated like a rat stealing from the master’s food. His witnesses to die were the jailer, the executioner, and a skimpy politician hiding in his cell muttering to himself. Viglead knew what he needed to do.

    The Escape

Viglead was being strapped onto a stone slab where he would be executed and stared at the jailer. He responded by twitching a little and stared back with empty eyes. Feeling uncomfortable he looked down for a second. Viglead saw his chance, the executioner was sharpening his blade, after all they had all day, and the jailer stared uncomfortably at the floor. Viglead tucked his chin in and felt around in his beard with his tongue. His tongue found cold steel and he sucked it into his mouth and spat it out at his hand and started to work on the lock. He quietly slipped his hand out of the first one when the pin found purchase in it and flipped the pin over to the other hand, but keeping his first hand where it was as to not alert the jailer. He popped the other hand out and leaned up and hurriedly tried to work at the one at his ankle, as expected the jailer saw him and ran towards Viglead. He popped his leg out and swung it across the table smacking the jailer in the jaw. The executioner heard this, turned around with his sharpened axe with a gleam in his eye and swung his axe. Viglead closed his eyes and heard the smack that was expected; however he felt no pain. He opened his eyes and saw the jailer’s head rolling around at his feet. The executioner pulled of his mask revealing he was the man who had originally introduced him to the guild. He nodded at Viglead and helped him free his other leg. Together they ran out of the prison and into the guilds main complex.

    Escape Part II

Viglead and the man ran into the courtyard, where almost expectantly they saw the guild holding a ceremony. They saw Viglead and the man and started pursuit. They chased them out of the complex and into a marsh where Viglead promptly tripped over a rock and landed face first in the mud and looked back to see the other members right on top of him.

    Reflections

Now earlier I told you about how Viglead was raised by Elves. We’ll go back into that story now, about a week into his visit.

Viglead lifted the bucket above his head and walked back towards the house, there his Elven parents Miona and Fielkah awaited him. He walked in the door and smiled at his parents. “ello”, he said. “I brought back tha bucket o’ water as ye requested.” Minoa replied “Viglead! For the last time! If you ever want to succeed learn to pronounce words correctly!” Viglead bowed “I’m sorry.” His parents nodded. “Your father is going to be showing some things that are...” She paused. “Not spoken of.” Viglead raised an eyebrow and followed his father, Fielkah out the door.

He lay in the bushes not moving a muscle. Several ants had gone out of their way to bite him making his belly tender and raw, but still he stayed. He was learning, what the Elves know as ‘Acceptance’ which was a sacred ceremony where whoever was performing it had to near literally become nature. The participant was to lie in nature and feel its pulse, as they remain hidden from Elves swiftly searching for you. Viglead was the participant. He lay still, not eating anything but smashed ants, for if he carried food his scent would easily be found. His drink was the morning dew, and he had never felt more alive. He had hidden among trees covered in mushrooms for four days. He felt the ground slightly move, a sign saying that a Elf was near.

Viglead was back at home, his Elven parents smiling at him. He had completed ‘Acceptance’. He was to return home and never come back.

    Game Over

Viglead lay in the mud, accepting it like he did so long ago, feeling sink into his pores. Viglead disappeared. The guild member ran right by him, some even stepping on him, which did not matter. All that mattered is that Viglead wasn’t Viglead. He was mud. After about two hours to make sure the guild members wouldn’t come back the same way they went Viglead got up and returned to the complex once more. When he arrived there he paused for a moment and bowed his head, then continued on stealth fully moving in the shadows closer and closer to the complex. For what Viglead saw was the man’s head on a stake with a piece of parchment on it warning him not to return, but oh how Viglead would return. He neared the guard’s quarters and armed himself f with a dagger, for that’s all he would need. He dodged in the shadows past a squad of patrolling guards and neared the main entrance; he lay in the shadows watching the main building where his target slept, ate, and lived. This was just like any other assassination. He entered stealth fully through the open window and walked silent over the wooden floor. He heard guards patrolling and slid behind a bookshelf, and then walked down the hall from which they came. He found the door he was looking for. It was made of expensive dark wood and in a brass plate it said in block letters: OVERSEER. He opened the door and strolled on in. The Overseer looked up and saw Viglead and smiled. “Welcome back” he said warmly. Viglead lowered his gaze into a scowl feigning rage. The Overseer chuckled and said “Viglead, you always were stealthy and sly. I never expected you to come back” He put his feet up on his table and leaned back in his chair and used a knife to clean imaginary dirt from under his polished nails. Viglead said in an even tone “You know why I came, so let’s get this over with” The Overseer sneered at Viglead and replied, “Of course” and stood up and held open his arms, “Come Viglead, fufill your destiny.” Viglead knew this was a trap, after years of being the trapper, he was not easily trapped. He again feigned blind anger and ran at the Overseer with his dagger and thrust it at his chest, as expected the Overseer jumped out of the way, Viglead swiped his hand around with the dagger and attempted to find purchase on the Overseer. Little came, but was enough to wear him down. They fought silently, stabbing and parrying each other’s moves trying to kill the other. Viglead feinted a stab and swiped at his legs, finding no purchase at all, the Overseers wound was barely holding him down and Viglead wondered just how strong he was. The Overseer lunged at Viglead, cutting his arm. Viglead gave no more reaction than a grunt, but truly the blow was devastating, but still on they fought.

    Overseer

A man opened the door just soon enough to see his master with a knife where head meets spinal cord, draped over the table like a sheet. The Overseer was dead, his crown and killer were never found.

    Today

Viglead is still somewhat of an an assassin, but not the average one. He prefers for people to never know that he is one, therefore when he does kill it is swift and with ease. He does not leave anything that can link to him. He prefers laying in the grass like he did in his time with the Elves, but scouting out the enemy planning his attack. He has no regrets about what he’s done, only that he could have saved his clan. Viglead runs independently, but carries assets in each town. He does any jobs now from break and entry to high-profile killings, to even just pushing thoughts into your head. He lives his dream with the crown of the Overseer where ever he goes.

Personality: Viglead is trustworthy until the gold stops flowing, then he'll turn around and bite the hand that fed him. If you ensure that he is being paid, his services will continue.

Motives:Viglead wants his reputation to spread, and getting minas for it isn't a bad deal either

Aspirations: To be a Master Thief and be respected all around for having certain skills

You notice a rich foreign merchant in the markets browsing wares such as jewelery, weaponry and armor. You notice a stall owner has just walked away from his stall for a few moments, several guards are patrolling the area, the merchant walks towards the stall to browse its wares. To the North is a sewer grate you could escape through, though the guards seem to be patrolling it more than usual. How will you pull of this thievery?

I decide to pretend to be the shop keeper, so I offer the rich merchant luxurious items at a very low cost to the man, in hope that he'll quickly buy and give me some minas. Assuming that he buys them, I ****** whatever is left and duck into the shadows looking at the guards in the corner of my eye seeing if they had noticed.

The Upright Man has asked of you to steal a scroll from a house that is just outside the city limits of Alras, the house seems to be alive with laughter and drunken men, you look through a window to see the chest is in the room, while 5 drunken men sit around the fire telling war stories, they seem armed but drunk, you see in the corner of your eye a small hole in the roof into the room. The door hinges are old and rusty, it can be easily kicked down. How will you pull of this thievery?

I would knock down the door and run in screaming about a fire spreading throughout the land, and they needed to leave at once, once they run outside in a rush with me. I turn the corner and run back in the house and go through the chest and steal the scroll and leave

An old man has taken rest from his travels under a tree, his bag is to the left of him, he appears to have a dagger on him. In the far distance you see some travellers coming, though they are still a far while off. How will you pull of this thievery?

I walk up to the man and sit next to him and club him in the head with the hilt of my own dagger knocking him unconscious assuming that he wont put up much of a fight being weary, then I take his pouch and sit there next to him while the travelers pass. If they stop to say hello, I will feign being asleep and hope they keep going. Or have to flee with no dignity.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: About 17 hours

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying is where you are playing the role of someone else. This includes that your person not be flat but more round and have a personality and experience as well as heritage and history. You also must stay in character the entire time for the full experience, otherwise the game isnt as fun

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is where you add stuff or knowledge that your character normally wouldn’t know. So if your friend tells you that the Undead are attacking from the North, you would have to be oblivious in game to that fact.

Power gaming is where I can do something that the game does not necessarily allow. So say I walk into a village of orcs. I cannot say “Viglead slaughter everyone in the village, but rather VIglead draws his sword and prepares for combat”. Another good definition would be forcing your actions upon other players unfairly.

What do you expect this server will be like?: A fun environment that allows for players to express themselves in a healthy atmosphere on the wonderful game of Minecraft. I also expect a fun place to play on a server with my friends. Also one of the best combinations of roleplaying that you can hit on a server, as well as a great staff that some servers are lacking.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I used to play on Immortal Realms and left because of school reasons, and not achieving a high enough grade. I have played on some other RPG servers but haven’t enjoyed the atmosphere as much as I would expect this one

    What is your Race?: Dwarf

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):I was a orphan dwarf who’s wet nurse was of the elven race, however when nearby clans caught word of this they took me in under their care. When I was about 12 he was wondering through a swamp near my village, and a bird swooped down and attacked me. Before I could fend it off it gave me multiple scratches across the face, and one long one across where my left eye is, leaving me with a cataract. This has only slightly impaired me as a Dwarf who is not quick to give up. My parents said as a squick I was often energetic and filled with curiosity, I was all the way growing up until the attack on my eye leaving me someone hesitant.

I grew up learning about smiting from my adopted family in the shack we used to call our home. We lived there in complete happiness till the Years of Famine came upon our clan. Work was slow for us and we didn’t have much to eat. At this time my parents chose to tell me about where I was first found. In the Wildewyn Woods. They sent me on a quest to see if I could learn anything from the elves that had initially raised me, as well as bring back food of course. I made the long journey and finally located them. A elderly couple that allowed me to stay with them as my adopted other father Vihleahed taught me about the ways of hunting and growing crops, two very important things often overlooked by the Dwarf clans. They also bestowed the gift of their family by granting me brilliant blue eyes like theirs.. I stayed with them for a about a moons birth and headed home head filled with knowledge of the world. When I arrived there I saw my family and the rest of my step-clan lying dead on the ground burnt to a crisp. When I was away a Rogue Clan attacked and killed and plundered my clans village, leaving me with nothing to remember them by, only the short span of 30 harvests. I was devastated, I tore at my clothes and cried for a miner’s day. I ventured out over to the cloud temple of Aegis hoping to find some sort of refuge from my mental nightmares. Finally whilst gazing into the Pool of Life, I saw my father looking at me, only it was my reflection. With a renewed spirit I headed out into the WIlds to start a new clan with whomever I may find

Your characters ambitions: I hope to be a great hunter, even though its not really deemed for my race to be swift. I wish to continue on with the knowledge that my Elven parents had left me. I wish to also tutor others like they did to me and become a great mentor. My dreams also include joining a new clan and starting over again in Aegis where I might find some reprieve from some anxieties.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? I sneak my way around the said bandits as quickly as I can, and before I attack make sure that I can see them well in my good eye. I then rush at them as fast as I can flailing my axe and hope it hits something. Knowing my bad eye, the elf and I will be dead in minutes.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Hello sir, I wish to purchase some more arrows and sell some of the ores I have brought from those in my clan. We are hoping to expand a bit. Our clan has been having some tough times and hope that we can build ourselves back up again.
