Roleplaying is assuming the role of another being. For the time in which you are role playing, you would make decisions as that being, talk as that being, and only as that being. Rp'ing is IC.

Metagaming is using outside knowlede as an in-game character. (such as: your friend skypes you and tells you the password to a chest. In-game, your character would not know this)Powergaming is RP'ing something in-game that your RP character could not do.

I believe playing on a RP server will be a new and fun experience.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.

Baeleun is six feet tall, has black hair, piercing green eyes, and is lean and muscular. He can blend into the forest, an uncanny ability. Being an elf, he is 289 years old, but still young. As a young boy, Baelun grew up in the elven city of Freelain, a city far away from aegis. He grew up in the streets, and pickpocketed people to support his family. The city then was suddenly besieged by a large group o bandits, that had been recruiting members for over fifty years. The bandits also demanded that all residents immediately stop all worship of the old gods. People who resisted would be killed. Baelun's family was outraged, but had no choice but to escape the city. They used the city's sewer system to escape to the outskirts of the city, and into the jungle. The journey to Aegis was long and perilous, but at the end of the god-forsaken journey they finally reached aegis. But only Baelun and his father remained. Baelun's mother and sister had been killed by the monstrous creatures of the forest. The starving duo of elves were found by a traveling pair of humans, who cared for the elves until they were well enough to travel to the city. Baelun is a generally surly elf. The deaths in his past have tainted his generally happy nature.

Your characters ambitions:

My character wants to become rich. He is very shrewd and will only assist with a task if a material reward is offered. (see below)

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Baelun would attempt to help the elf (being his kin) by shooting at the bandits from afar. If he ran out of arrows, he would be sort of helpless, because his skill with blades leaves much to be desired. If the bandits both die, he would approach the elf he helped and request the majority of the spoils from the battle. Baelun normally would not help another if a reward is not involved. Except another elf.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

My character would review the shop owner's prices. What? arrows 100 minas each?!?!? (or some ungodly price) He would then proceed to viciously haggle and threaten to not buy (scary) the shop owner's goods until the prices were lowered. If lowered, he would thank the shop owner for his time and proceed with his day. If not lowered he would walk to the nearby booth and loudly praise the other shop owner for his low prices and make a big deal about how low the competitor's prices were. And then buy some arrows, smirking.
