Reasons: The economy is barely thriving at all. Trade and constant flow of currency is quite a desirable thing. The plan would be to lower taxes from the inside and simply work on quota-type deals with a high return rate for what's being exported. Goods and services will become cheaper. The vault will grow and trade missions shall be accomplished. The richer the nation, the better.

Do you have any past experience moderating Minecraft servers?:

As a matter of fact, I do have experience in moderating Minecraft servers. Once upon a time, I used to manage several of my different friends' servers for them. At one point, one of my friends called me up to come with him to moderate a server that he had posted upon some server advertising site. This server ended up with around twenty or so players on at any given time during a week of play.

Over the time, I ended up as an administrator, but during my time as a moderator, I was constantly called up to handle calls for griefing among other various violations of server rules or to just help people out with commands. It ended up becoming a handful at times, but I worked until the server died beneath us. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience that I benefited from quite deeply.

Why have you decided to create an SM application?:

I have decided to create an SM application for the sole benefit of the server. I am quite aware of the duties that the SM handles and what it takes to be a moderator. In simple terms, I understand what goes on under the hood and what it requires to keep a functional server for the enjoyment of the players. Without a smooth flow of moderation, a server's rulings and in-game management falter, which abruptly slows gameplay, RP, and varieties of other things.

I also enjoy the time spent on the server, which as of lately is coming in larger loads than of ages gone by. I dedicate much of my free time to being spent on the server, but it ends up being poorly spent even when on the server. In an elaboration to the previous statement, the time is spent with some RP and some mechanical gameplay with very little else being done. I believe that it would be far better spent in efforts to help moderate the server than to dilly-dally at the farm.

I am far more fond of spending time and effort into the server itself, than solely on the forums. I tend to browse the forums, but my time and effort go into spending time on the server. In general, it's for the benefit and only the benefit of the community and server. The efforts, time, and experience I possess would be much more useful towards a role in moderation for the benefit of the community and server, than what I do with my spare time and efforts of now.

    Additional information:

Additionally, I am very aware of my low amounts of forum posts. As stated above, I browse quite a bit more than I ever post (which at this time is next to never). Of course, I am quite willing to contribute quite a bit more towards helpful things upon the forums too. Also, I've been around since Aegis (don't think anyone really cares about that).

Also, I used to serve several communities centered around serious RP. My positions in these varied to between moderator, administrator, and even the head administrator at certain points. These communities amassed between twenty to up to fifty players online at a given time. Though, they were not on Minecraft, which is the reason of why they were not listen in the above paragraphs. (For anyone wondering the game involved serious Gmod schema's [RP there gets really serious and stressful at times.] The names of said communties were: OG,TSG,PG,TNB,RR,RPR, and BRP)

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

No, unfortunately I was not able to attend this Minecon for various financial reasons.

    How old are you?:

I am currently 14, and am quite mature for my rather young age.

    Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

    (UTC−06:00)U.S.A.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

I have a very fine grip on the english language. My vocabulary is very broad and wide, and my grammar is decently shaped.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I am a lover of the musical arts, and play the low-ranged brass instruments for hours on end. I am fairly short, and also am quite spontaneous as far as my personality goes. There are some moments in life where I can be boring, but for the most part, I bring some excitement to those around myself.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

I can typically be on the server around 20-30 hours weekly. The amount of hours can vary depending on how much my schedule varies from week to week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying to me, is playing as a specified character. You created a character, and begin telling the life of the character while being able to interact with others to alter the story as it goes along. Roleplaying itself gets complex and detailed based on the amount of time and effort the person chooses to put into it. You tend to develop your character of a long span of time, and the character is also generally never fully known to yourself. The character develops itself, and is left with you to help guide it along the way there. There is Out-of-character, and In-Character. Out of character is what you(you as a human being)would say in response to something. In-character is what your character thinks, and is generally somewhat related to some of your personal self. It's not to be confused that your motives and desires are what the character desires. The character has his own motives, personality, and appearance that are different than that of your personal self. You should never mix Out-of-character ideas and responses/information In-Character.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Meta-gaming is taking any Out-of-character information In-character. Generally Meta-gaming is used for giving an unfair advantage towards someone else, or challenge laid ahead for the character. Meta-gaming is generally also used for easy access to something they never knew about, for quick money as well. Meta-gaming includes taking any Out-of-character information(Ideas, Responses, Locations, Or anything period in OOC)and making the character use it as if he/she had always known about it ICly.

Powergaming is simply playing your character, and not caring about what anyone can do in a situation, and you end up never giving them any time to react to anything that you are doing to them in a situation. Powergaming usually ends up with someone in a situation, completely going past their physical limitations, and generally screwing up the entire purpose of Roleplay all together. Generally, Powergaming also can involve someone to just outright stop a scene, or event with one simple action, which goes beyond physical standards(Depends on the situation it might be though). If the situation was that I was drinking some ale, and my friend simply slaps it out of my hands, it's not simply Powergaming at that point.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Hopefully, this server is extremely active, and has many players in which I can have many interactions with. I hope to have quite a bit of fun with interacting, and telling the story of my character.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on a particular Serious-Roleplaying community known as Kingdom of Aeonis. They are decently active, and have plenty of things to do, but they don't have the amount of people that is required to make it enjoyable anymore.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

    Yes

How did you hear about us?:

I heard about LOTC through some dwarven friends of mine in Aeonis, and told me to come check out this server.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

No, I plan to do so in the future though.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

    Malgurov Albatrov

    In-Character:

    Character Name:

    Dul'Ulkirk Hammerfall

    What is your Race?:

    Dwarf

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Dul'Ulkirk was much like that of most young Dwarves when he was in his youth. He was very ambitious, and enjoyed the traditional Dwarven values. He loved to mine, and help his father around in the forge as much as he could. Dul'Ulkirk was fond of smithing in particular though, even though he enjoyed mining almost quite as much.

Dul'Ulkirk was a on the short-side of the Dwarven people. His long orange, blonde hair, and the braided beard fit the style that the Dwarves followed, and the hazel eyes of his also fit-in with the rest of the Dwarven people. Dul'Ulkirk also had a very plump and round nose, and a heavy-set middle body. Dul'Ulkirk was also very skilled in smithing and mining. If you were to leave the lad' alone to do what he wished, he would most like end up going to the mines to gather ores, or to the forge to craft a worthy suit of armor for himself. It didn't matter what he was doing, or had time to do, he also managed to find time to get to the forge, or the mines.

When Dul'Ulkirk became of age, he was given the forge to himself, to slowly become the successor to his father. No matter what task was given to him, he was able to complete the craft in an amazing amount of time. Dul'Ulkirk loved being the smith at the forge, and crafting anything that he could in his spare time.

(The Image of a stout Middle-Aged Dwarf hammering on the hilt of a blade appears)

(A Plump Dwarven Clerk is seen rushing into the scene)

"Dul'Ulkirk! Ye' ave' another' work-order te' fill lad.'" The Clerk says in a rather rushed, and out of breath tone.

Dul'Ulkirk hammers one last time on the hilt, and lays the hammer next to the aged, rusting, anvil. Dul'Ulkirk promptly then wipes the beads of sweat way from his eyes before returning taking the note.

"Thank ye' kindly Gontak." Dul'Ulkirk says with a smile on his face. He then lays the piece of paper onto his workbench, and looks over it eagerly.

"Two sets of ye' finest great-swords, and some o' ye' time fer' ale." Dul'Ulkirk mutters as he reads over the note in his sweaty hands.

"Ahh Glogan, ye' filthy rat." Dul'Ulkirk says as he begins to break into a hearty laughter while reading the note from his closest friend.

Dul'Ulkirk walks back to the anvil, and picks up the hammer while shaking off the laughter caused from the note before getting back to his work.

    (The Scene Ends)

Dul'Ulkirk had ended up becoming a well-known smith around the parts where he lived, and begun to be over-filled with work. Even though he was skilled in what he did, he couldn't handle everything that was asked of him. He began slowly to deny a good portion of orders, and his work soon became fairly exclusive around the area.

Dul'Ulkirk still enjoyed what work he did, and had actually inherited the land that his father owned after he died. The land that Dul'Ulkirk inherited, he ended up using to create the largest blacksmithing shop in the town. Soon after the completion of the forge, he began hiring apprentices, and other workers to help him complete his work.

The production, and the exportation of his goods began to grow to the point in which he began to become a very prestigious smith. Dul'Ulkirk soon had plenty of people working under him, and had time to do other things that he had always wished to do.

What Dul'Ulkirk had actually wanted to do ever since he was young(besides being a smith), was become part of the Dwarven Military. Dul'Ulkirk was in his Mid-Aged years when he decided to set off to become part of the Dwarven Military.

Dul'Ulkirk left the forge, and all of his valuables to his brother Gontak. The people of those lands still tell stories about the mysterious disappearance of the legendary blacksmith. Little know of where he is, and why he left his highly valued position, but his certain brother still does, and still holds the position at the forge today.

This is the story of Dul'Ulkirk Hammerfall, a middle-aged Dwarf, with no belongings what-so-ever anymore. It's a fresh start for this Dwarf, and a long way to achieve what he once had.

    Your characters ambitions:

Dul'Ulkirk's ambitions are mostly to join the Dwarven Military, and achieve the recognition, and fame that he once had.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Dul'Ulkirk approaches the bandits cautiously, and trying as hard as he can to stay out of sight. He then attempts to take out the bandits one-by-one, and keep the Elf as safe as possible. Dul'Ulkirk doesn't care what race it is that is being attacked, he would much rather keep them alive, then see them brutally murdered. Dul'Ulkirk then lends a hand to the Elf, and escorts the Elf inside of the cottage, and continues on his trails.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Dul'Ulkirk walks into the shop, and greets the shop owner with his heavy, booming voice.

"Ello' good sir! I need some o' your finest ale if ye' ave' any." Dul'Ulkirk says with his booming Dwarvenly voice, which echoes across the quiet market. If the shopkeeper had any ale,

he would stand around, and drink to his hearts' content before getting kicked out for causing a hazard to others in the area. If the shopkeeper had no ale, Dul'Ulkirk would simply angrily grumble, and walk out of the shop.
