  1. Do we want to develop a halfling belief system or religion over time?

    - This would be done very naturally--none of that instantaneous transition stuff. I imagine it would be very nature based, simplistic at core.

I've always assumed that our religion was one we kept to ourselves or did not care much for as the farm was the main point in our lives.

    I

n the past, I wrote halfling limericks and songs and what-not. Do we want to continue that and perhaps build a collection of halfling literature?

Halfling literature was one of the great things about the original halfling way of life but from what I have seen that has declined and shouldn't be allowed to. Although building a huge library would not be a good idea many halflings could have their private libraries making it seem more of a halfling way.

Do we want to reveal the location of our town? We may be protective of our peace, but we are also friendly and generally happy. This might give us a chance to share our ale, quirky creations, and generate interest for future halflings. This isn't saying that they could live in our town, simply visit it. Frerry will be involved with this decision.

Although maybe not intended already I know that the town's coordinates and previous halfling towns coordinates have always been leaked. Its the way of the curious player and although I loved the seclusion Dunwood brought about if there are no visitors than towns die. It has happened before and can happen again.

    S

hould, at any point in time, halfling architecture and culture advance a little bit? In many other fantasy worlds, halflings eventually live in small cottage that are partially above-ground.

If halflings do advance than they would be taking away one of their main characteristics, I don't feel this would be a good move because of the fact that in many tails halflings have some buildings other than their burrow above ground so it is a choice not a fact of not being evolved. So no the burrow characteristic of halflings should stay.

Should we as a race bring back the stereotype of halflings being mischievous and tricky? My character in-game wouldn't support this obviously, as he knows the history of halfling thieves, but it might provide interesting roleplay.

One of the key reasons why I decided to be a halfling long ago was due to this traits, and although other players may be agitated at times it is always in good fun and helps to create tension or move along an rp situation. I know that in the old days during the times of the three masked halflings people joked about it and had a good laugh.

What are our opinions on magic and foreign beliefs?

Magic should be out of the questions for halflings due to our quiet nature. We would not want to fool around with something that could potentially harm us. Foriegn beliefs should also not be of a concern due to our minding our own buissness attitude.

  2. Out of the strong wind current flutters down a paper such as those that scatter the continent. It is in goo condition compaired to the others and is printed on a strong paper used to withstand the tails of times. You skim through the message but only after you read the name at the top. Brian.

I have lost track of the days since I stumbled upon the desserted city of what a book called Dunwood. The stories found there described of humans such as myself living in burrows. This intrigued me. Are there still some of my kind out there? Have they survived the doom that was Aegis and its perish? Or did they die among the now forgotten? I wish to know more if ye only have a a story to tell...

Scribbled on the back is the words Cloud Temple, you assume these are to be where this human will be.

Roleplaying was new to me when I first looked at this server and I knew very little. But over my time from this server almost exclusivly I have gained a definition of roleplaying as such. Role playing is the art of filling anothers shoes, this requires percesion and excellent sense of how to go about their daily actions, their conversations, and their overal life style.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming, the curse of a roleplayer, is when someone role playing uses out of the story or their characters knowledge information to use to gain an upperhand over other players wether this is arriving at a battle that no one else knew about or using a bandits rp name to gain an advantage. Powergaming is the exploting of none controlable role playing things such as not actually being cuffed during an arrest and escaping and not following the rule authority figure to the jail.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Born in the last age Brian is very experienced and has many stories to share. Named after one of the two corrupted Sages before the ascended rebirth, Brian has always struggled with a name that causes others to look the other way. This past is still shady even to Brian as he only remembers one thing from his childhood. A dream of pureness and clarity, one that still confuses him to this day. His first day of remembrance would be his or what he would come to call his twenty second birthday. He awoke on this day in a grass clearing surrounded by a forest of trees with only a small gold nugget. He journeyed for nine days and nights throughout small villages. These villagers on many occasions were friendly and accepting of his small form, something he has now accepted. But then there were the occasional villages that were hostile. These villages plagued by monsters as he would call them attacked him on sight. As he set his sights on a new land he spotted a grassland where he would settle and farm until the ultimate corruption of Aegis. Brian’s body although aged from his time on Aegis and now the new land is physically fit. Through his time on his quiet grassland farm he gained muscles to help with his daily chores. These he does not show though through embarrassment of not fitting the normal aged human. He is a humble but curious man, not willing to trust in himself to explore but with a burning passion to discover and learn. This causes him to go out on day voyages with not enough courage to proceed further from the sight of his cozy burrow. This and the study of books are practices that he adopted from an abandoned village that showed promise through the over growing crop. Like the crop his is filled with promise of a good adventurer and with a little maintenance he can become one.

    Your characters ambitions:

My character has little ambitions in his old age but to explore all he can. He struggles with this though and calls this his unrealistic goal and so his realistic goal is to maintain a healthy life style filled with studies.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

My character out of fear of the bandits would run and hide but watch as the brave elf battled. Though it would be a good sign for anyone to be victorious versus the monster that Brian encountered before, Brian would still run if the elf was victorious due to his deep respect and fear of the elf.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Brian would answer politely but tell the shop owner of his inability to spend what he does not have. He would than curiously ask the shop keeper how he got into the business.
