  1. Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name: My Minecraft Account name is Majorevers.

How old are you?: I'm eighteen.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: I live in Oregon on the West Coast of the U.S. The time zone is Mountain Time at GMT+/-7:00

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, Sir (Or Ma'am). I'm currently working on earning pay for finishing my manuscript.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm that eighteen-hour a day gamer who still lives with his old man. I'm eighteen, and do try to keep busy outside the house; but when I'm not writing, I'm gaming.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: This depends on if the server accepts me, haha. I'm a senior in High School, but I have a very lax schedule aside from Mondays, and Thursdays. I would think that per week, at minimum 18 hours, and at the most forty hours.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I know that Roleplaying has been one of my greatest inspirations. From the perspective of a want-to-be author, you are submerged within a community of characters. When in character, you are exactly that; a character within a story line that you live through, and above all enjoy. When out of character, you are able to communicate on misinterpretations, and differences of opinions.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've roleplayed from Forum-formats to WoW (Lit. communities only, haha). I've been at it for well over three years, and I would hope that my experiences to come on the servers would lead me to my fourth!

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: ... Meta-Gaming is just wrong. I have found that this activity is most commonly found among new role players, and is easily enough weeded out. When one Meta-Games, they're taking out of character information, and using it in character without having had their character learned the information themselves.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: In short, Power-Gaming (Or as I learned it, "GodModding"), is where one player types in an action in the direction of another player, and phrases it without allowing the target to defend themselves.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I have heard that after the fall of Aegis that a lot of people have fallen out. However, I would assume that this means that the loyal Rpers who have hung in this long- Proving that they have the skills necessary and wanted- Are the core group left. With that in mind, I expect the server will be of a fine caliber.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've actually only played Single Player Minecraft on this evil iMac of mine; and it is only now that I'm learning about Minecraft Role Playing from a few friends. It sounds really interesting, and I can't wait to get in there to give it a try.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read through the rules; I understand and agree to them completely!

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I do.

How did you hear about us?: I got a text message from a friend who roleplays on the server. He invited me to submit an application.

    In-Character:

    Character Name: Brandon "Major" Greystark

What Race are you?: I was born a human, and will die the same.

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): I do not have a sub-race.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): "My life hasn't been very long, nor has it been all that exciting; but I can tell you this, it has been Lived. You know how the bards sing of songs of those heroes, and villains? Well, I'm one of them- of the bards, that is. I was born twenty-four years ago in a small town where my parents and family still reside. I was apprenticed to a bravo who practiced in the arts of swords and song. Between his superb swordplay, and bravosi swagger, I became much of the talk of town. I was never really smart, and can't say that I'm much of a genius now; so when the King's recruiters came by, I took up the offer to, "... see the world," the first chance I could. Now, it wasn't all that I had hoped for; being a silver-tongued sleuth made the grunt work a task I rarely saw. Not to mention that when on the march, I didn't see much of the land as much as I did the corpses of the enemies from the last evening's battle. Yet, I was able to take up my lute and strum up a rallying song to keep our group moving.

Where I picked up my nickname from was the Major currently in place. We lost him in a battle; an inspiring charge where he took up the guide-on's banner, and led the charge. He lost his life half way through, and I dropped my rapier to replace him. It wasn't long after the battle that they began calling me Major for the victory. I try not to let this fill my head with an ego; and I'd never sing of my own song, but with each new town, I like to sing of the late Major's valor."

OOC: Brandon is a quiet man until addressed. He knows his place, and does little to make himself noticed until appropriate. At the height of five-foot-ten, he leaves an average sized shadow on the ground with a buckled rapier on his right hip, and a wooden lute slung over his back. He rarely is seen outside of his monochromatic attire; or without that fire in his eyes that embroider his warming smile. He's a blue eyed blonde with an accent warped between a northern sharp, and a bravosi twirl.

What is your Character's ambitions?: "I want to travel the world, making those around me feel the same warmth that I do every day."

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): "My favorite tool? Considering that I only have two items I call mine, I'd say that the first is my rapier; allowing me to strike like a snake when the time comes; and the other is my lute, so I can play another day."

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: "I learned how to fight, and how to sing. I carry my own weight, and that of others with an endurance that surprises my superiors day in, and out. I do not give up, and can not see myself doing so in this life time."

Other Information about your Character: Bran' is a character that I'm still developing, and plan to keep working on as he unfolds ICly.

    Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: The sound of the struggle brings Bran's ears to perk, and his head swivel towards the scene. There isn't much thinking within the young soldier's mind before he breaks off from the road, "Silent as a shadow," Bran's feet step softly across the grass as he treads as close to silence as his leather boots would allow. "Swift as a deer," he lifts and lands each foot with quickly gathering speed as the bard breaks into a run; only a few yards now from the unaware warriors. Bran examines the pair disturbing the halfling, pondering,'How greedy they must be, to be blinded from my charge by simple coins.' Without another thought, his rapier is unbuckled, and touching to the back of the taller warrior's neck; a silk-smooth voice rising from the bard, "You two will return home now with what coins you do have," he presses harder without breaking skin, "Or the little one will be fettered by all the loot your corpses leave for him to carry."

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?: Without missing a beat, Bran steps up to the stall, and grins, "Can you dance?" He reaches back for the lute on his back, and tugs the instrument up to his chest, "Because I can play, and women love to dance with rich men; but you need the waters to flow before you can go~" Bran's hips sway from left to right with the closing statement.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: "Now there's some quality forging..." he closes the chest without having looted any of the contents. Inspecting his surroundings, studying the hut for any signs of habitation, he sighs, "I should get going if I want to sing to the King's Court before Winter falls..." Bran takes one last look around before walking through the threshold of the hut's entrance, "There should really be a lock on this door."

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?: Bran's fingers flick at string after string as he opens his throat and begins singing from his diaphragm, "Oh, Pepperoni~ How much I love ya'~" He swaggers up to the closest, best smelling meat stall, "You have plenty to see, how much of it could be for me~?" His voice is strong, confident, keeping away from any hint of begging; even as his stomach was ready to force his knees down to the earth.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: "Where does he sleep?" The bard would inquire, his left hand touching to the rapier on his hip. He would then smirk at the guard, bowing his head forward some, "How much are you paying?"
