  1. You see, I recently acquired a room in the barracks of Normandor. Exited to move in I quickly gathered my things (they were all in my inventory anyway, as I have not owned a house yet) and headed off to my new home. As I arrived in this place, I quickly found my room and tried placing my gear into the chest for safe keeping, but, low and behold, I did not have permission to open my chest! Could someone please help me gain access to my chests for future uses?

    How old are you?:17

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:I'm from Mississippi, in the United States. GMT-6:00

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I have grown up in a country where the national language is English. I keep a constant A in English class and am in the advance placement courses for English. I will say one thing, it takes me a minute to make sure my grammar is correct so please try to bear with me...

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:I was born and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia until my dad got a job transfer and I moved to where I live now. I love to play video games, and minecraft caught my imagination on the sheer amount of versatility of its game play. I love to roleplay and have done so since I was 13.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:between school and my extra curricular activities, I have my time set out for me, but I could easily be on for between 14- 30 hours a week or more!

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:Roleplaying is a wounderful thing. It allows people to adopt a new life and explore a world with many other people who have done the same. Roleplaying helps keep a level of creativity to everyday life and is a great form of making one's own entertainment. Roleplaying is like writing a book that you have control over but never know what's going to happen next.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:I have roleplayed on several forums and my friends and I LARP all the time

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: meta-gaming is the act of using out of character context that could easily be used to change how the game plays out. Much like screen peeking in fist person shooters, meta-gaming takes something that you shouldn't otherwise know and uses it to your advantage. Now sometimes meta gaming is hard to avoid but I always do my best to stay in character and keep the information I get from my charater.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:power gaming is the bane of all role players. Power gaming is when you force a character to do something without giving them a chance to do anything in return. For example: if I push you down and knock you unconscious all in one move, you have no time to react and now what are you going to do? I essentially just ripped out a page from your "choose your own adventure" book so now you only have the one path to take. To make a long story short, (might be too late for that) power gaming takes the roleplaying out of roleplay.

What do you expect this server will be like?:after looking at all the rules, I expect a rich and full roleplaying experience from this server.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:I haven't really. I hope I can prove my worth by showing how I can weave a tapestry of a story for everyone to enjoy.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:yes I have, and I believe the rules to this server are very well stated and will help increase my enjoyment of the game.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:I do swear I will do anything and everything I can to uphold thse rules you have set in front of me

How did you hear about us?:I searched "what's hot" on the planetminecraft forums in the server section.

    In-Character:

Character Name: good day, my name is Christopher Alsief

What Race are you?: I am a human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): I don't have a sub race

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Well I should probably start with my childhood. I was born in the kingdom of Salvus, in the trading port of Endisia. My father was an armorer in the Alrasian military before he retired and settled into his life as a blacksmith. He enjoyed teaching me of his craft; he believed that the life of a blacksmith was the most honest profession, and I wish to follow in his footsteps. Dad taught me how to craft everything from a spoon to a blade, and how to use the latter. I trained day and night on how to use a blade, and after many nicks and scratches I was able to become somewhat proficient.

Oh but that house we lived in was a dump! but it was my home, and I loved being able to come home every day after helping my father and training in the yard. I was never fully involved in the village though... I remember I always kept to myself as a kid; I did have one friend but they moved to Solace when his dad raised enough money to set up a stall there. We used to play bandit around the docks, but my dad said that if I kept it up I was going to turn into one and then he would have to arrest me. That was his way of kidding around, yet there was always a grain of truth in his voice; like when we were playing around and I "borrowed" his molding hammer to pound on the pigs outside in the forest. When he found out he "put me in jail" for 5 hours while he finished his work at the forge.

I never knew my mom, Father always said she was a wonderful woman and that he loved her very much, but I always wish I could have known her too... I try not to let it bother me... Lets just get off the subject.

Dad said I would make a great blacksmith one day, and that it would bring him great honor to see me follow in his footsteps. Unfortunately, like all humans, none can escape the curse of Iblees. After dad died I decided to try and take over his business; I soon found out how tough it was going to be. Now, at the age of 25, it's my greatest goal to restore my father's forge anywhere I settle, and maybe then I'll be able to honor him again.

OOC: Christopher has brown hair and a scruffy beard. he wears his blacksmith's apron and a red shirt underneath. Chris has always had an honor complex that he adopted from his father, who was the only person he trusted. Even today, he has trouble trusting people and will be cold to most people he doesn't know. Deep down he is a very warm person but comes off as distant.

What is your Character's ambitions?:My dad always said that it was his greatest desire to see me take over the forge, and so I'll do everything I can to honor his last wish. Above all else, I just want to live a normal life, but don't think that means I'm not going to rise to the call when needed.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):My greatest tools are my anvil, crafting table, and my mind, but I do have a bit of training with a sword. I'm not above using a pick if I can't find work as a blacksmith.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?I am best at my table and I haggle a bit. I have informal training in swordsmanship and I'm willing to follow orders. I am a hard worker and find physical labor doesn't bother me.

Other Information about your Character:Chris is a very distant person to people he doesn't know. His since of honor drives Chris's every day activity, and his father has instilled a respect to authority in him. So much that Chris has been known to give some officers he likes special deals on their repairs or crafting orders.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? As Christopher began to walk home from his pilgrimage to the Cloud Temple he noticed a couple of men and a halfling. those men don't look like they are up to any good... Christopher thought as he approached their position. "Hey? what do you think you two are doing the that poor halfling?" he asked them, standing his full height. "Well well, what do we have here? what's it to ya, hero?" the larger of the two approached Chris, brandishing his blade. The men were scarred up from head to tow and the shorter of the two had an eye patch. "sure, you could easily use your swords but why not fight like a man?" Christopher raised his fists and stood in a fighting stance. "Ha ha! look at this guy! alright, I'll accept, and when I win I get to kill you!" the taller man dropped his sword and rushed at Chris. Chris ducked under his first punch but took the second to the stomach. As Chris doubled over in pain, the man brought his hands up to slam into Chris's back, but Chris took the opportunity to tackle the man to the ground and punched him square in the face before he was thrown off by the second man, who had joined into the fight. the two men were starting to overwhelm Chris, but, right when it seemed he would loose the fight, he came up with an idea. Chris quickly swept the larger man's legs out with a swift kick and grabbed the others head and slammed it into his knee. Before the men could stand back up, Chris was gone, halfling in hand. "Why are you running away? You had those guys on the ropes!" the halfling asked from under his arm. "Because, I was never all that good in a fight. I figured I could at least survive the fight long enough to catch a break..." Christopher placed the man back down after running several more feet, "ok, we should be far enough away, get out of here while you can."

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Hello, I'm a new blacksmith that has started up business in town and I think we can help each other out," offered Chris putting and iron boot onto the counter "as you can see, I make high quality armor, but the problem is I don't have a supplier yet. So hear me out, good sir, if you supply me with iron at a discounted price, I can sell it back to you at a discounted price!" he continued to explain. "Which means a net gain fo' the both of us! I like yo' thinkin' there, blacksmith, we go' ourselves a deal" the keeper replied offering his hand which Christopher shook greatly, knowing that he had his first real sale in his new town.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:Hmm... I could definitely use those ingots... and I like the design for that sword... Christopher thought as he pulled the items out of the chest to inspect them. The iron looked almost freshly smelted and the golden sword was magnificently crafted, it was obvious that the sword was ceremonial in some way but was still crafted as if it were going into battle at any moment. Chris noticed a dragon sculpted into the hilt of the sword that extended down to the pommel where the dragon's mouth held a jewel. "It's beautiful, it's perfectly crafted, I could just take it now and leave with it before anyone knew it was gone. But it's not mine to take; I didn't earn this." Chris then, with a heavy heart, put back the items. His honor forbid him from taking anything he hadn't earned. And so, with one last look, Chris walked away, saddened that he could not keep them, but inspired by the design of the golden sword.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "hello there! you look lost, you need some help?" a man by the fire adressed Chris "No... ugh... I'm- I'm fine, but could I interest you in some fine leatherwork?" Christopher pulled out a shodded pair of boots and a tattered jerkin from his pack. "Now this is a bargin for you, as all I request in return is a loaf of bread for these peices." "Uh... s-sure that sounds like a great deal!..." the merchant said as he pulled out a loaf of bread and handed it to Chris. "Hey, why are you doing that, those pieces are terrible! we'll never sell them!" his parter hissed at him under his breath. "Listen, I've delt with people like him before, all he wants is to feel like he earned it. He doesn't want any cherity, even if he has to trick himself to get it," the merchant replied as Chris took a large bite out of the loaf and sat down on the empty seat. "So, where is this caravan headed next?" Chris asked between mouthfulls. "well we were going to make a stop in solice in the next fortnight, care to join us?" the merchant's friend asked, catching on to the cherity act. "I think we have a deal! I'll tag along but for your trouble I could chop fire wood on the way to keep my stay," Chris concluded as he finished the last of his bread.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: "My father taught me how to use a sword, maybe I can help," responded Christopher stepping out of the crowd. "Well, how good are you with that sword?" asked the leader; the man must have been the captain of the guards, due to his difference in uniform. He was a man of large stature and had a rough beard and bald head that almost made him look like the epitome of manhood. "Just enough to hold my own. I'm just a blacksmith but I'm willing to help the guards in any way I can. "Actually, our men have been fighting with out of date weapons, perhaps you could fix them up as well as helping out with the bandits," the captain offered Christopher his old rusty sword. Christopher took the sword and looked it up and down, "ah I see where your problem is, I think I could help you out, sir." "Excellent! we will have your payment in after we worry about those bandits."

Character Name:hello there, I go by the name null allsief.

What Race are you?:I am but a human in this world of fantastic races.

    What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):I don't believe I have a sub-race.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):Well, if I am to account my life, I should probably start with my childhood. I was born into the small farming town of Vale in the kingdom of Merthaga. My father was a retired war veteran turned farmer and my mother ran a bakery in the town square. It was in this village that my father taught me how to use a sword, and where I built up my strength helping my mom move bags of flower. It was a simple life, but a happy one.

As I grew up, so did my ability with the blade; so much that soon I was accepted into the Merthaga Academy for Young Paladins. I found that my days of "training" did little to help me when I got there, as the other boys were much stronger than me. But I was fast. I was smaller than the other boys and more nimble from my days of playing in Vale. I learned how to properly craft my armor; they gave me a stack of leather and told me to make a tunic. Easier said than done, I was soon to find out, when it took me 14 tries to get a respectable jerkin, but I was proud of it.

A few years passed at the academy before I was finally given my first real mission. It was a simple one, I was to accompany my teacher on a routine clearing of a sepulcher, as it had been infested with zombies. It was challenging at first, but my training helped me through the hordes. My teacher was not so calm. He sensed something was wrong, if only I had listened to him when he said to turn back. I felt too good, too in control to just leave then. I had to push forward, I had to finish what I had started. I pushed through to the end where there awaited me what would soon be my worst nightmare. There, standing in front of me, was a lich.

The lich slowly looked up at me and pointed his bony finger. Soon my throat quickly closed up and I gasped for breath. I tried raising my sword,

but my arms felt like hundred pound weights. I couldn't bear it any more; my lungs were screaming for air but I could not seem to get even an ounce of air. The last thing I remember seeing was the lich's crooked smile before I collapsed to the ground. Everything went fuzzy, and it's hard to remember all that happened after then. I woke up with a horrified feeling in the deepest part of me that I should have been dead...but I wasn't. I slowly made my way back to town, but found the people there ran from me. I tried to convince them I meant no harm, but all they wanted to do was run. I made my way all through the town and found out exactly why I was being feared. I found myself looking into the window of a closed shop, but what stared back was not me, for I had become what I strived so hard to banish. I had become one in the army if the walking dead. But why was I still in control? Why could I think and walk on my own? Shouldn't I just be an empty husk of a person? But I'm not. Maybe I have been given a chance to redeem myself for disobeying my teacher. Maybe I need to hunt down the lich that did this to me. All I knew was that I couldn't return home now. It wasn't until I turned 23 that I finally tracked the lich to Aosulon. I intend to get my retribution.

OOC: null has dirty blond hair and deep black eyes. He wears the armor of his academy to remind him of his home and his mission he had to complete. To hide the decaying skin on his face, null wears a white mask. null has never been strong but he is fast on his feet for a human. Even though he is a paladin, null has a struggle on what is always right and whats wrong.

What is your Character's ambitions?:by becoming such e defiled creature as the undead but with the feeling of being given a second chance, null will do nothing but to have his curse lifted and his life to return to normal. If that means returning to the ground as a fallen warrior then so be it. "even I must pay the price of the curse of Ibleeses, It is part of our repentance for not seeing his trickery before it was too late..." he would always say to himself. null wishes to find a way to return to himself as he was before the lich set his curse on him, but as a paladin it is in his nature to try and help all that he can.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): I prefer to use my sword to help protect those that I can but I have a grip, though a very small one, on the crafting of small arms and armor.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? null's special talent is his speed in combat and his quick thinking. but he has a bit of a problem with following orders at times.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format):2ephh6f.jpg

Other Information about your Character: null has lived in solitary for a long time and so his introduction back into society might be a little slow. he will try to hide his face if he can and will do his best to keep in good relations with anyone he meets. null has a large since of pride at times even if he doesn't need it; every now and then he will need to be brought back down to earth.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? as null slowly meandered down the road coming back from a pilgrimage to the Cloud Temple, he couldn't help but notice the two men strong-arming a poor little halfling. hmm, I can't take them straight on or they would slaughter me! I don't even have my sword... but if I can get behind one then maybe... null thought as a devilish smile crossed his face. Null quickly darted up into a tree and yelled at them "hey ugly twins! why mess with that halfling when I have all this gold?" null held up his purse of coins. the two men quickly dropped the halfling and bolted toward the tree. null jumped from the tree and landed behind the warriors; damn! sprained my ankle! well this might not end well null tried to stand no mater how much his ankle just wanted him to lay there. the men were charging null faster now, and already had there swords drawn by the time null was finally on his feet. "so, how about we just cut his throat and take his and the halflings purse?" "now that sounds like an idea" the two men conversed as the ran the blade up null's neck "hey guys... listen I don't want to have to hurt you" null tried bluffing in his deepest voice. the men started laughing and that's all he needed. null grabbed his purse and threw it in the face of the taller man, in the daze of the attack null grabbed his sword and held it up to the man's chest. "like I said, I don't want to hurt you but I will if I need to," null said with a smug smile showing under his mask. null back away slowly and grabbed the halfling and ran. "ha ha that idiot forgot his purse!" the shorter man announced as he wen to pick it up "huh? what's this!?!?!?" they both exclaimed as they opened the purse to find nothing but rocks inside.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "well hello to you too sir!" null approached the stand and placed his hands on the weathered stone table "what might you be selling here?" null asked looking around the store. "well nothing a' the 'oment as ya can see" he replied showing the empty shelves of the stall "ya see, I just sold all m' wares an' now I'm in the market fer some new merchandise care to sell a thing er two?"

"hmm... well I don't mean to brag, but I crafted a few pieces of leather the other day into one of the finest pairs of boots you could ever find!" null replied reaching into his bag and pulled out a dusty old pair of patch work boots. "um... I don' know 'ow te tell ya buddy, but those won't get ya a single coin" the shop keeper handed him a half coin to null "look, this is for your trouble, I won't get much for it bu' I'll still try..." "well then, I might just keep them then; I find them to very fashionable." null put the boots back in his bag and handed the coin back to the shop keeper and promptly walked away.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:wait... am I seeing this right? null thought to himself as he opened the chest who would leave behind a perfectly good golden sword and iron bars?. null looked both ways as the thought of taking them and running entered his mind after all, I could take them and be gone before anyone knew it... but that's still technically stealing isn't it... but this place is abandoned... ugh! what do I do??? null fought with his mind as he tried to remember his morals. "ok! ill take them and leave a note! if anyone still wants to find it then they can come find me!" null went to reach for the items but found that they were gone! "wait... what? where did they go?" null looked around the hut just in time to see an elf running away into the forest with the sword and bars.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "oh thank the maker! listen guys I'm really hungry, could you spare me a few loaves of bread? or maybe a map back into town?" null approached the camp to find a few men huddled around a fire "you want some food? then go gather wood for the fire" one of the men offered, handing null an ax. "very well I'll chop you some wood" null took the ax into the woods and found himself a nice tree to start hacking away at. it took him an hour to finish chopping up the tree but when he brought back the wood he was happy to see the merchants hold up there end of the bargain. "my name is null, its nice to meet you guys out here" he introduced himself to the man that handed him the ax. "nice to meet you too, null my name is alex and the orc over there is call gro-gurak, and this right here is my brother, john," the man commented, passing null a loaf of bread. "um... not to be mean but why do you have an orc in your party?" null lowered his voice so the green man couldn't here him. "gro-gurak is a friend of my father's; he helped defend our home from an invasion of skeletons 4 years back and he has been the bodyguard of my caravan ever since." alex informed him "oh, my apologies if I seemed intolerant. I'm not used to living with orcs yet, my old kingdom was inhabited by nothing but humans except for a few dwarven clans." "ah well its ok, your new to these lands so you are excused. If you wish we are headed to the nearest town from here soon, would you like to join us?" john offered, speaking up for the first time. "that would be great! I'll try to help protect you while I'm in your company."

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:hmm... I am getting kind of light in the money department... "I'll help you defeat these bandits!" null stepped forward and presented himself to the captain of the guard. "you, paladin, what is your name?" the captain asked, sizing up null like a piece of meat. "my name is Null Alsief, and I may not be strong but I'm the fastest paladin on 2 feet." "hmm... well you'll have to do come on I'll fill you in on the way." It took a few minutes on the walk and the captain explained to null how the bandits had been imposing a "traveler's tax" on all the newcomers. "so you need my help to get them out?" "pretty much so you think you're up to the task?" the guardsman asked null. "well the way I see it, if you can get them to come out, they don't have an advantage over us anymore." "well... that's not a bad idea... ok men let's smoke them out!" the captain commanded his troops. within minutes the hideout was covered in flames, and the bandits began to pour out. "men! to arms!" soon the fighting commenced and the bandits seemed almost worthless as a challenge without their traps and tricks. "ok wrap it up boys!" the captain called from his vantage point; what bandits weren't killed in the raid were sent to the dungeon to repay their debts. "very nice thinking, null, here is your pay 14 gold pieces. Have you ever considered joining the city watch?" the guardsman commented "sorry, sir, but I'm not exactly the uniformed soldier you need, I'm just a traveling paladin that needed a few pieces of coin."

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:I'm from Mississippi, in the United States. GMT-6:00

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I have grown up in a country where the national language is English. I keep a constant A in English class and am in the advance placement courses for English.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I was born and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia until my dad got a job transfer and I moved to where I live now. I love to play video games and minecraft caught my imagination on the sheer amount of versatility of its game play. I love to roleplay and have done so since I was 13.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:between school and my extra curricular activities, I have my time set out for me, but I could easily be on for between 14- 30 hours a week or more!

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is a wounderful thing. It allows people to adopt a new life and explore a world with many other people who have done the same. Roleplaying helps keep a level of creativity to everyday life and is a great form of making one's own entertainment. Roleplaying is like writing a book that you have control over but never know what's going to happen next.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have roleplayed on several forums and my friends and I LARP all the time

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: power gaming is the bane of all role players.

    Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I would approach the warriors and inquire to them what they were planing on doing. If they had any malintent for the poor halfling I would have to take actions to defend the innocent.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I would peruse his wares for anything I could use in my quest. Then if I found anything that I could use I would gladly pay the man for his goods, but maybe after a little haggling.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I would simply pass it up. I'm not the kind of guy that would steal. Even if the materials were abandoned; I would rather get my tools with my own hard work.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Hello fair sirs! I don't carry much money but I would be willing to help out in any way I can for some food and the directions to the nearest town.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Of course I will help! As a paladin, it is my duty to protect those without the means to protect themselves! Show me the way, guardsman, so that I can show these bandits that strength should be used to help people, not bully them out of their money.
