    How old are you?: 13

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Eastern Standard Time

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, it’s the only language I know. I’ve grown up with it all my life.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I’m a 13 year old who loves to play minecraft. I’m getting into coding, and plan to become more of an avid coder over the summer. I am learning on thenewboston.com. I’m super psyched to possibly get into this server

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I’m planning on spending anywhere from 1-3 hours everyday, and even more time during the weekends.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is taking on a character’s identity that you create. It doesnt matter what you as a person might do, it matters how your character would react to the situation.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have played on a small roleplaying server. It was not very hardcore roleplaying. Most people ended up talking OOC, and i didnt like that, i like the hardcore roleplaying experience.

In your own Words, d[efine what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is using outside knowledge that you have gained through anything (Forums, skype, Teamspeak etc) and using as knowledge your roleplaying character knows

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Powergaming is roleplaying without allowing another person to react, whether it’s killing them instantly without any RP speak before, or doing something as ridiculously overpowered as summoning a dragon to help you battle which obviously is impossible to overcome.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this server to be a serious but fun world where you build your character and have a good time. I really look forward to possibly join LOTC.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on four main servers. These servers were Honorcraft, Aretecraft, Eroscraft, and Drugcraft. I left 3 of these servers because they shut down. I left Drugcraft because it was so damn rage inducing, and the admins were completely unresponsive.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have indeed read your rules, and I find them agreeable

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise to abide by these rules. These rules being the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak rules.

How did you hear about us?: I was googling RP servers, and found LOTC. This being the biggest RP server, i thought it would be a good idea to join.

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: No, I have not previously made an application.

    In-Character:

    Character Name: Donrin

    What Race are you?: Dwarf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Forest Dwarf

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Donrin is a forest dwarf at, what he can only guess, one hundred and thirty years of age. He is a farmer, a cook, and a master swordsman. At the moment, he stands, unsure of his future in front of the great dwarven capitol, Mount ire. But to really understand who Donrin is, and how he came to be who he is, you have to look back on the man’s childhood and his growth into who he is today.

While Donrin did grow up in Aegis, he was not a part of any of the cities, even when he was a young boy. His parents and him were nomads, traveling across Aegis as outcasts, for forest dwarves weren’t even accepted within their own kind, the dwarves of Kal’Urguan. Because of this, Donrin knows little of the dwarven history, besides the occasional rumor whispered from ear to ear in the nomad camps where he lived.

Though he was nomadic, Donrin was not displeased with his life. In fact, he was quite happy! He grew up being taught the ways of the forest dwarf, one skill he picked up was how to grow his own crops. His family traveled in a small cart around aegis, and he had a small pot in which he always had some sort of plant growing. Most often, it was something of sustenance, a bean plant, even wheat or barley when he grew older and more skilled. Along with the plants, there was a small coal cooker, which was difficult even for Donrin’s father to use. He eventually became better and better at cooking on the small stove though, and was able to transform his treats from the plants into more edible, interesting foods for him and his family. Along with these important, life saving skills, he also gathered one more, the way of the sword. Traveling as much as he did, Donrin gathered skills from all over the land, and was one of the best swordsman he knew, using the grace and agility of the elves, the cunning tactics of the humans, the brute force of the orcs, and the bravery and honor of the dwarves. He was arguably one of the best swordsmen in all of Aegis, even as a younger man.

Although he is a master with the sword, Donrin always taught himself never to meddle in anything unless it directly concerned him. He would never even draw his blade unless someone was showing some sign of agression towards him. This came largely from his teachings as a forest dwarf, as his family was not as brave and honorable as the normal forest, mountain, or cave dwarves. Instead, they would rather sit back and only draw blades when it truly needed to be done.

Donrins life was turned upside down however, when the undead stormed all of Aegis. He had to change from living in his small, nomadic camps to instead boarding huge, overpopulated ships on their way to Asulon. While on the boats, he even lost his mother and father, a truly horrible blow to Donrin, as they were one of the few consistencies in his life. He arrived in Asulon, sad and depresed about loosing his parents, and wandered the world in search of forest dwarves. Donrin could not find anyone of his race, but he did hear about several dwarven cities, including Kal’Dwain, and the great capitol, Mount Ire. He decided that it would be best to venture there and live with those who are at least slightly related. This is where we leave Donrin, as the adventure that is his life is only just beginning, and where it will take him, who knows?

What are your Character's ambitions?: Donrin is an avid farmer, cook, as well as a master swordsman. He picked up on these skills while traveling in his nomadic land with his mother and father in Aegis.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Donrin’s favorite tool was the hoe, as it provided him with life and sustinance in Aegis. While the sword cuts through most foes in his hand, Donrin does not consider it his favorite, as he is not a violent dwarf.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Donrin’s most skilled talent would have to be his mastery of the sword. Because he was a nomad, he picked up on talents from all the races and creeds, and knows the way of the sword better than most.

Other Information about your Character: One of Donrins favorite hobbies was weaving grass and leaves into his hair, which has permanently given it a greenish tint.

    Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Donrin passes by the man, because, while he feels sympathy for him, it is not Donrin’s way to fight someone when they have not caused any direct harm to him. He gives the halfing one last glance, and then continues on his way down the road.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Donrin ignores the mans accent, and instead asks the man “excuse me lad, but do ye happen tah have anyfing for sale that you’d wish to trade for bread, er perhaps ah good cook working for yah for ah few days?” The man does offer Donrin a trade for a few days of labor for two diamond ores, and Donrin accepts, because his greed for ores still remains even though he is a forest dwarf.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Donrin was a nomad who in Aegis, and he grew up with a large amount of theivery between the nomads. Donrin would most likely not have stolen anything, if he had not seen the golden sword. Donrin knows that this is something quite hard to come by, and decides to take it.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Donrin was used to having to deal with people who did not speak his language in Aegis or even for that matter people who were just plain difficult to understand like the orcs. Donrin expressed what he needed through gestures, and ended up with a place to rest his head for the night.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Donrin would refuse to go and fight the bandits, as they aren’t doing anything to the town at the moment, and he feels like the bloodshed is sensless and shouldn’t be caused just because the bandits are occupying a nearby town. Donrin instead tells them that he will hold down the town, and convinces a few others to stay back as well to protect just in case some of the bandits come attack the town.

Anything else you would like to say?: I really appreciate the opportunity to join this server, and I hope this app will be suitable for the team! If it’s not, I will try my best to fix what you say.
