I've got a lot of rp experience from WoW rp servers, Gmod rp servers, and Cow rp.

    Definitions

In your own words, define what the act of

    roleplaying is:

I know a lot about role-playing, I know terms like ooc, nlr, rdm, meta-gaming, and griefing. I also know how to speak appropriately in the rp. To me, roleplaying means creating a new life for one’s self in a living breathing world where you can become whatever you wish to be. (within community guidelines of course)

In your own words, define what the act of

    meta-gaming is:

Meta-Gaming to me is actively using outside information in a role-play. It pretty much ruins alot of the rp experience of meeting new people and really immersing yourself in the world. Like if someone shares information over ooc like there location.

In your own words, define what the act of

    power-emoting is:

It's ruining someone else's experience by forcing what you want on them and cutting them out the natural growth of an rp. Example: Bob cuts Sam’s head off, killing him.

    In-Character Details

    Character Name:

    Jack Goddard

    Character Race:

    Human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Jack Goddard was born the 3rd born son in a town called Westport, in Oren. He had two loving parents, William and Aileen Goddard. He lived a normal life, his parents were neither wealthy nor poor. From an early age he showed a great interest and considerable skill with the forge and learned from his father, the local blacksmith in Westport, he grew up around the forge at his father’s side learning with his eldest brother Robert. When he was not learning and working at his fathers smithy, he and his brothers would play pretend fighting with the other children, the three brothers would always win though, having crafted their own basic armor and toys swords. The second eldest brother, John, was skilled in combat at an early age and taught his brothers how to defend themselves in battle, he later joined the town guard, and even later became Captain, using his armor he crafted himself of course. When his brother came of age he inherited his father’s business leaving Jack with an open destiny. After the smithy his father originally worked so hard to keep maintained was attacked by a flying monster(Summoned by a cultist), Jack thought it was no longer to stay in West port. Now in his 23rd year he has decided that it is time he left his home and moved away from the petty squabbles of Oren, and started his own smithy and live a prosperous life. Jack is a hardworking and friendly man who is willing to help a friend in need, He is also an independent person who can be stubborn at times. He is a well-built northerner but is a little below average height. He has medium length dark reddish- brown hair, dark brown eyes, and a small beard of the same color.

    What are your characters ambitions?:

Jack is a simple man, he'd like to follow in his fathers footsteps and open his own smithy.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character?

Jask is rather humble, he has few and simple ambitions.

    Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

Jack walks through the mighty gates of Arethor, slightly intimidated by it's pure size, since being used to the small homes of West port. He ponders why people need such space in their homes.

Dwarf: 'Scuse me Sir, may you see my wares, and perhaps you would want to buy somthin'?

Jack: *Turns his pockets inside out* I'm sorry, but I've nothing myself, I would if I was able.

Dwarf: *Faces droops, looking rather depressed*

Jack: I'm sorry my friend, but I'm also looking to start a business here as well, perhaps we could work together, to reach a common goal? *Jack reaches out his hand, ready to shake* I'm Jack.

Dwarf: You're not bad, mate. I'm Gorge Goldspleen.

Jack: Well met Gorge, now lets go see if there is anyone in this city who could use a good pair of hands.

Jack and Goldspleen, after becoming friends, find steady work at an inn and smithy, after several months of slowly saving they finally are able to fulfill their dreams of gaining homage in Arethor, and erecting a smithy and store together, the two new business owners make a great team, Jack working the smithy and Gorge masterfully selling his fine work to all manner of folk.

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

*Jack overhears the ruckus from a distance, pondering what it's all about, he stumbles over, rather drunk as it is.*

    *Rather misunderstood, the orc screams.*

Orc: Gib it bak! I wunt sappin back!

*The Dwarf, Goldspleen looks obviously distressed. Scared of the Orc grabbing at him.*

Goldspleen: Jack, get outa' 'er, this is my problem!

Jack: Please, Orc. He's done nothing to you, we'd like to just leave with no violence.

Orc: I wub mine sappin back! *He roars*

Jack: Look, friend I'm sure whatever your "sapin" is Gorge here doesn't have it. If it means that much to you though I will surely help you find it.

Orc: You gib sappin back now!

*Unarmed the Orc raises his fists, screaming something about a sapling.*

*Both Jack and Goldspleen's eyes raise in horror. Jack being a short but largely built man, picks up Goldspleen, turning and bolting down the road, running to the Docks. In the chase, the Sapling falls from the bag of Goldspleen, pleasing the Orc.*

Jack: That wouldn't happen to be his sapling would it?

Gorge: No, no, no, of course not

    *Jack and Gorge laugh together*

Jack: Alright I'll take your word for it, I don't really feel like going back and asking that Orc if that sapling is his.

Gorge:Now how about we head down to the inn for a pint and forget that this wee incident ever happened.

Jack: Sounds good to me, but your pay'in!

*The two walk down to the inn laughing as they go for a night of fun and drink*

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

    Old man: Ah!, my leg.

*Jack looks down at all the Minas, thinking of what his father expects of him.*

Jack: Here, let me help you.

*Jack helps the man gather his Minas, and books, then looks at the split staff.*

Jack: hmm, I may be able to fix your stave.

*Jack roams through his bag, looking for supplies to repair the Man’s walking stick. Jack finds some rope he found earlier, then walks over to a tree, ripping some bark off of it. He raps the bark tightly around the stick, then ties it up tightly with the rope, temporarily fixing the walking stick. Grinning with his accomplishment, he hands the walking stick to the Old Man.*

    Jack: Here you are, Sir.

Old Man: Ahh, I thank you much for this work young man.

*Looks at his bag of Minas and back at Jack. Handing Jack a decent chunk of Minas from the poach.*

Old Man: Here, you deserve this. Asulon needs more lads like you.

*The Old Man grins, and walks down the road, on his way.*

*After Jack gets back to town he distributes the gifted coin to the poorer families of the area, continuing the cycle of goodwill started by the old man and himself*
