What is your trade?: Don't really have one

Why do you wish to join the Order?: Zimlie would like to join the order so he may learn many things about this wide open world of Asulon and fight for his fellow dwarves at the same time.

Do you swear, on your family's honor, that you will uphold this position, be loyal to the people of Kal'Anart and it's Lord? Do you swear that you will fight for the Grandaxe Clan, wearing the banner proudly upon your person? Sees the dwarf and approaches him.

"'ey dere laddie! Ah beh lookin' fer sum lads ter join up wit' meh ranks."

Hands the dwarf a half crinkled up poster that describes what he talks about. He sits back and awaits the dwarf's response.

How old are you?: I am 18 years old.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes I was raised speaking English.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am just an average 18 year old kid who likes Minecraft. I played baseball for my high school and am a pretty good student. Although I do spend a lot of time playing Minecraft.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I could play for probably 20-25 hours during summer, maybe 10-15 when I head off to college.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is basically being someone or something that I am not. In the case of this server, I am a dwarf not an 18 year old human, and so I will act like dwarf and just because I am pretty smart in real life doesn't necessarily mean my character will be smart

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: To be completely honest, very very little. I have played a little World of Warcraft and thats basically it. I hope to learn how fun it can really be through this server.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is using knowledge that you wouldn't really have if it wasn't from an outside/OOC source. For example, lets say you are talking to a friend that you know in real life and he tells you the location of his camp. This is meta-gaming because without knowing him in real life, my character would have no way of knowing the location. I understand through reading the wiki and other posts that this is extremely frowned upon on this server.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-emoting is something within role-play where your character doesn't really give another character the chance to respond. Sort of like assuming the actions of both sides of the role-play.

What do you expect this server will be like?: Obviously I expect this server to be fun otherwise I would not be posting this application. However, more than anything else, I expect this server to be something completely different from anything I have experienced on any other server.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: This is my first role-playing server. Not sure whether or not you want other servers that are not role-playing but my main server is Evocraft: A PvP factions server. I am leaving because it seems to be dropping players very fast and will likely die in the near future.

Character Name: Zimlie Blueheart

What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Dwarf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Mountain Dwarf

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Zimlie was born inside the Dwarven Kingdom of Kal'Alras 19 years ago. His father Talmart was killed in an awful mining accident 3 months before his birth. His mother was a very loving mother but fell very ill when Zimlie turned 12. A few months later, she passed away. Thinking he would follow in his father's footsteps, he took up mining but very quickly discovered he did not like it. He found that hunting with his axe and smithing were much more interesting to him. Soon after his 15th birthday party, he met a new friend named Zimbie who shared common interests in smithing and mining. Since neither of them had ever left the Dwarven Kingdom, they both decided together that they would set off on a journey to explore the land of Asulon.

Zimlie is a very adventurous person. He is very courageous and rarely backs down from and adventure. While being adventurous, he still likes to have some time of relative relaxation which he finds by smithing. Zimlie is short, even shorter than the average dwarf. He has fiery red hair and a beard. What he lacks in size he makes up for with his courage and honor. Zimlie finds that he can use his size to his advantage to catch enemies off guard. Enemies expect him to be a weak and peaceful dwarf and he uses this disguise to quickly overpower unsuspecting enemies. Zimlie is also very practical and has very strong opinions and cannot be easily persuaded.

What are your Character's ambitions?: Zimlie's short term goals would be to become the apprentice of a more experienced blacksmith to learn the ropes of the undiscovered Asulon. In the long term, Zimlie aspires to become a warrior to help protect his fellow dwarves.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Zimlie's favorite tool is by far his axe. He finds that an axe is the most versatile tool in the land of Asulon. While he finds a sword to work well in combat, it has next to no use in anything else. The axe serves two purposes, both as a tool and a weapon.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Zimlie's most skilled talent is his ability to wield an axe. However, Zimlie prefers to fight in groups of 2 or more people. He finds that fore unknown reasons he seems to preform better in combat knowing that someone has his back while also knowing he has someone else's back.

Other Information about your Character: Zimlie's greatest fear is being alone in the huge world of Asulon, reason for him to always have at least one traveling partner.

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Zimlie creeps closer to find that both warriors are well armed with swords. Zimlie remebers back to a time in his journey when he was starved and cold when he came across a halfling settlement. They gave his both food and shelter for the night. Remebering this Zimlie decides that he must help the halfling. Knowing he cannot take both armed guards alone he quickly darts to the forest to look for help. He soon comes across a fellow dwarf and pleas for help. The dwarf agrees and they return to find the halfling still be harrased. Knowing they are running out of time, they quickly spring into action. Each of the dwarves engage a warrior. Zimlie quickly runs up to the first warrior and catches him off guard and runs right into him, causing him to stumble. Zimbie takes this time to toss the halfling a spare axe. Although the warrior unsheathed his sword and was a skilled swordsman, he was no match for the duo and was distracted by Zimlie as the halfling hits the warrior in the leg, causing him to cripple to the ground. Zimlie quickly spins around to find that his dwarven comrade is locked in combat with the more skilled of the two warriors. Zimlie and the halfling run over but not before the warrior slays the dwarf. the warrior takes a split second to sneer at the fallen dwarf and that is all the time Zimlie and the halfling need to punce on the warrior and knock him to the ground where he tries to kick them off but is unsuccessful. Angered at his fellow dwarve's death, Zimlie decides to end it all for the warrior and slays him while he tries to kick the halfling. The halfing thatnks Zimlie for his help, hands him some Minas, and runs off.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Zimlie asks the the merchant "Do you have any rare items in stock today?" The merchants face changes and he leans in to whisper to Zimlie. "Some strange man happend to leave a mysterious egg of an unknown creature on my counter this morning. He told me to not let it fall into the hands of the wrong people, then abruptly left. I do not feel safe with it, would you mind taking it for me and keeping it safe?" Zimlie considers for a few moments before replying "Yes I will take your egg off your hands and seek a person who could maybe tell me more about this mysterious item." The merchant thanks Zimlie as he sets off to learn more about his mysterious new finding.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Zimlie being an honest person decides not to take the items. Upon further inspection, he realizes there is blood on the floor of the hut, leading Zimlie to believe the owner of the hut was kidnapped. He decides it is best to search the woods nearby for a possible owner of the hut. While wandering, Zimlie comes across a mysterious looking tree. He decides to investigate further and finds that it is hollow. He uses his axe to cut a hole in the tree to discover a ladder leading down into a dark abyss. Just as he is about to walk away, he hears a scream from below. he decides he cannot simply ignore the scream and decides to enter the dark abyss.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Zimlie is unsure of their language. He attempts to make hand/body gestures to indicate he is hungry. The traders understand his gestures and give him food. Just as Zimlie is getting ready to leave a pack of bandits and their hunting dogs show up. The traders are frightened at first, outnumbered and outarmed. Just as the bandits get ready to attack, one recognizes Zimlie from a previous exchange in which Zimlie fought multiple bandits at once. The bandit communicates this to his leader and they decide to move on to look for a more vulnerable trading camp. The traders start to worship Zimlie as if he is some sort of god and send him off on his journey.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Zimlie doesn't even think twice before signing up to help out. Knowing that group fighting is a specialty of Zimlie, he believes he could be extremely helpful in this skirmish. The guards and other helpers take up their positions. Zimlie was assigned to the gate defense. After 7 hours of waiting the bandits show up to try and raid the village in a group of about 20. The bandits pause slightly at the edge of the nearby forest before quickly rushing at the town's walls. Archers on the walls send a volley of arrows striking and killing 3 of the bandits. The bandits send a volley of arrows back at the wall. The archers on the wall were unsuspecting and didn't duck for cover. 7 of the 11 archers on the wall were killed and 2 were injured. The guards order a charge by the gate crew. Zimlie and 9 other guards all charge straight into the bandits. Zimlie swings his axe at the first bandit he came to. The bandits blocked his blow with his own axe and follow up by kicking Zimlie sending him flying backwards. The rest of the guards get swarmed by the bandits and killed. Zimlie decides it would be hopeless to get up and fight against 15 or so other bandits alone so he faked death. Only 5 town guards remained in the city and the bandits finally broke through the gates. The remaining guards are also overwhelmed and are killed. With 11 bandits still remaining and only one guard, Zimlie, remaining, Zimlie decides the situation is hopeless and runs off into the woods. Knowing that he failed the village haunted Zimlie for many days to come.
